I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mind Maze Escape Room in Mansfield, TX, and I cannot recommend it enough, specifically their Mad Scientists room. From the moment we entered the room, we were immersed in a world of mystery and excitement. The attention to detail in the room was impressive. Every element, from the decor to the puzzles, was thoughtfully designed to create an engaging and challenging experience. The setting truly made us feel like we had stepped into a mad scientists laboratory, complete with intriguing gadgets and mysterious contraptions. The puzzles themselves were cleverly crafted, requiring a combination of logic, teamwork, and creativity to solve. Each puzzle was unique and provided a satisfying challenge that kept all of us engaged throughout the entire experience. It was incredibly satisfying to work together with my friends to unravel the mysteries of the room and progress towards our goal. The staff at Mind Maze were also fantastic. They were friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about creating an unforgettable experience for their visitors. They provided just the right amount of guidance to keep us on track without giving away the solutions, allowing us to feel a sense of accomplishment with each puzzle we solved. Overall, our experience at Mind Maze Escape Room was nothing short of fantastic. The Mad Scientists room was an absolute blast, and I left feeling exhilarated and eager to come back and try their other rooms. If youre looking for a fun and immersive escape room experience in Mansfield, TX, Mind Maze is definitely the place to go.

Took our church youth group ages 12-18. They really enjoyed it. The only problem was that they were missing a paper to help with the first clue. Other than that we ve already scheduled for another time. Very helpful staff. Had fun

Its overdue for some revamping. I did the secret agent room years ago and recently did the wild west room. Youre moslty opening up combination locks which gets very boring. One of the puzzles was malfunctioning and the attendant had to open it for us. There was some writing on one item that was difficult to read. There is a lot of unnecessary information on posters. I felt like I was playing the guessing game and trying numbers on locks. Fortunately we managed to escape. I would not recommend this place. Go to Secret Cham.....

Room was challenging. The details of the challenge were well thought out and the props used were awesome too. Lobby area has a good mix of items for all ages to pass the time when waiting for groups to arrive. Clean and very inviting. Staff (Emily) provided EXCEPTIONAL service. We were one of the last groups of the night and she still had enough energy to crack jokes and try to make the experience more fun.

Not accommodating at all. Never booked an escape room before and called to ask if we could re-schedule and was told we could. Would have added cancellation on if it gave us the option when we booked. Daughter got hurt and couldn t make it. Was willing to re-schedule. Out $240 and ruined daughter s birthday.

We have done several escape rooms in DFW, but this one was odd. The team of 6 was separated into 3 groups, and didnt receive help when needed. (*this was the Secret Agent room) Disappointed because I wanted to go back to Mind Maze to do the other rooms. Had I known the group would be separated, Id of booked a different room. :(

I only give it a 2 because of how challenging the room was. We had fun while in the room but I feel like we didn t get the support we needed. We tried getting help so many times via the walkie but to no avail. The lead, spoke so fast during the instructions & clues I couldn t keep up. We were practically rushed out after we finished. No props for pictures, snapped pics we fast we couldn t even check to see if we liked them.

Mad Scientist room was a perfect first-time experience for our family of four. Funny and smart setup, various puzzles and surprises. Emily the game master was attentive and helpful with hints via walkie-talkie, I wish I had brought more cash to tip with at the end! Used pogo pass Dallas for the kids, good investment. Offered a discount for next visit; only wish we were local to take advantage, but next time were in town we would love to tackle the Wild West - we caught a peek of the setup and it looks so cool!

Mind Maze Escape Rooms is a good option for first-time escape room players. The rooms are well-maintained and have a good storyline. We did the Wild West room and appreciated the decor and the history behind some of the puzzles. However, the puzzles themselves were a bit basic, mostly involving finding codes to put into numerical or alphanumerical locks. There are plenty of other escape rooms in the Dallas area that offer more immersive experiences and a wider variety of puzzles. For example, in Mind Maze, you have to yell to catch the attention of the game master who comes into the room to offer clues. This can be a bit disruptive and immersion-breaking. Overall, Mind Maze Escape Rooms is a good place to start if youve never done an escape room before. The rooms are well-maintained and the staff is friendly. However, if youre looking for a more challenging or immersive experience, I would recommend trying another escape room in the Dallas area.

Six of us (4 adults, 2 kids under 12) went to the Mansfield, TX location and did the Wild West room. The GameMasters did a great job. Our room was definitely challenging enough for us. We had so much fun in the beginning but Worst customer service, no phone service or email support, we took one time and we booked for another room due to weather conditions and health reasons, we were unable to make it , even after more than 5 emails and 3 phone calls , they are not understanding the reason and not even rescheduling our dates nor providing refund. We are in the world where we are loosing everything due to covid situation and also due to most of the environmental losses, but there is no humanity of understanding the real situation and not helping the people. Will not recommend this to anyone, selling their tickets with no clarity on their terms and also providing false informations. Ill also share my concerns over reviews in Facebook as well as Yelp. Let others be cautious before you book tickets/ slots. Theyll accept for all your terms and will not help you later and they say we have no writing for all these commitments. We travelled around 45 mnts to this place and had lost our money and time. Extremely pathetic.

This was our first time at Mind Maze. Having seen the good reviews, we had high hopes. We chose the Mad Scientist room to start with since it was listed as the easiest at this location. Unfortunately, we were frustrated from the second clue on. There was no way to figure it out without a hint. The written clues were unnecessarily complicated, misleading, or even inaccurate. For example, steps 1 & 2 were switched on one, giving you a wrong lock combination. In another, you had to know to press the # key after entering a code. The laminated, written, or sticker clues were old and worn, making them difficult to read. Numbers written on objects in marker were also worn and hard to read. There were 4 different locks in the room with 4 digit combinations. We wasted a lot of time trying multiple variations of worn code numbers in each one. A directional lock had a very confusing clue that required 6 maneuvers instead of the typical 4. One of the clues required you to mix food coloring vials, and a key vial was empty! Several keys were hidden in places you couldnt see them, like on a high shelf, or in the very back of a long drawer. One paper clue was wedged between two pieces of wood and required a pocket knife to remove it. There was no way we could have successfully completed this room due to the poor maintenance and set up. A very expensive and disappointing way to spend our anniversary.

We did The Mad Scientist Room as a family - myself, my wife & 3 daughters (ages 10, 13 & 15). The room was rated as EASY. It was still challenging, but the clues werent too hard for my daughters to eventually solve. Since it was sooooooooo much fun, we booked the next level room, The Wild West Room, before we left and were given a great discount for doing so. Employee Ryan is very nice and helpful. Room for Mad Scientist was very small but great for beginners. My family and I had a reunion in Texas and one thing a couple of us wanted to do together was an escape room. I had never done one before and thought this was a good beginner one. We did the Mad Scientist room, which was a lot of fun, but it was extremely small for 6 of us and would be small for even three people. It only has one room but if it was a pair instead of a group, it would be perfect. Good as an introduction to escape rooms. The employee Ryan gave us a really fun experience and was very helpful when he saw that we were stuck. He also dressed up in costumes according to what character he was playing (Doctor s Assistant, Doctor) that made the experience all that much better. If I lived in Texas, I would go back again.

i was extremely disappointed with this experience. attached below are the pictures of the mad scientist room ON THE WEBSITE! in person, it is one small, hardly decorated room with NO IMMERSION AT ALL!! the price tags were still on the bottom of all the boxes- they came from ross, by the way- and in the corner there was a dead cricket, showing that they didn t even bother cleaning the room before we came. halfway through, our walkie talkie broke and we had to yell out into the hallway to get it fixed. ALONG WITH THAT, in most escape rooms i go to, there are two doors to exit from, one locked and one unlocked in case of emergency. in this room, there was only one door, and the door was unlocked the entire time. we just had to pretend that it wasn t? i was severely disappointed as i paid for FOUR people! that s money wasted that it doesn t seem like i ll be getting back..

You HAVE to try this escape room! Came here for a friend s birthday and had a blast. We escaped with only 36 seconds to spare and the rest of the hour was trulyyyyy an experience. I made reservations for my son s 10th birthday party with 3 of his best friends and 4 older cousins. I reserved the Western Cowboy theme. They all had a blast. The 10ur olds were a bit lost at first with the instructions but they were able to help out and find some of the clues. The attendant was very helpful and so pleasant to us. We were fortunate to have the place to ourselves, I was able to watch the kids the entire time through the camera. They all loved it and my son said it was an awesome birthday party.

Booked a party here for my best friends bachelor party day. The staff were great. There was about 11 of us, and though we came close did not beat the escape room. Heh, we learned how well we all can work together. We all had a great time.

First time experience for me and it was fun. I took my wife to this establishment for her birthday with a couple of friends and was immediately greeted by a very nice lady. The instructions before starting was simple and clear. She walked us into the room and explained to us everything in depth. We had a lot of fun solving puzzles and just enjoying the theme of the room. they got us out of our comfort zone when we had to ask for clues. I would like to thank the people at mind maze making it a win for me.

I took my daughter and her friends for her birthday and they did the Secret Agent Room and it was so fun! Very challenging and pretty intense but they all had a blast! Definitely would recommend it! The staff was great and was very helpful when they got stuck on clues!

Very disappointed. My daughter picked this place for her birthday party. Her friends didnt like it and I wasted $300 for 10 people to go. She was devastated. ***update*** recieved email from Geoff offering one of the other rooms but my daughter doesnt want to go back at all. So no resolution for this experience.

This was a fantastic experience. Weve done a couple of the escape rooms in the past but, this was by far the best. It was challenging, yet fun at the same time. The young lady that helped us was great with her witty humor. Cant wait till our next one.

It was so much fun! The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable about the maze. My friends and I did the Mad Scientist Room. The staff assisted when we were stuck on a clue. We celebrated my besties birthday at the Mind Maze. I can t wait to go back and try another Maze. Loved it!

We had such a great time! 3 generations worked together to solve the puzzle and escape from the mad scientist. Our team of 6 players rocked! And our maze master (Jason?) Did everything to enhance our fun adventure. Will definitely do this again. Maybe the Western room next time?

Need to try the other rooms they have. Be careful with distractions in rooms. You can burn time easy on something that is nothing. There is a tool that needs to be addressed or fixed for the escapees. It tends to be difficult to have it work in your favor. Without giving away too much of what the room was or what the tool is. I want the difficulty of the room to be genuine still. But I will be back to try more rooms.

This was a fun place for a group to go. We used a Groupon, so our choice was limited to The Mad Scientist Room. The directions were not that clear initially, and tge hostess did not enunciate clearly. If you go, make a reservation, and dont be afraid to ask questions if something isnt clear. It will make a difference.

This place was absolutely, hands down 5-star worthy. Then owners are awesome, the Mad scientist room was challenging, but fun, I suggest not bringing young ones because focus, organization and communication is key to unlocking clues. I loved that I could tell time and effort was put into designing the rooms as well as the clues. We cannot wait to go back to try the other rooms.
