I can not believe we paid $70 for 2 dry, tasteless hamburgers and a french fries! There was absolutely nothing condiment wise on the burger, it was so dry. The menu on the website and pictures is nothing like the reality of this place. The website would lead you to believe it s fine dining with great choices, it is not. Our server, while friendly was not trained, he wasn t sure about happy hour prices and items, even after bringing us a card with the happy hour food on it. He came back one time about one minute after our food came to see if everything was good. I told him I did not know I had not had a chance to try it yet, so come back in a bit never saw him again. My husband went most of his meal with now ice tea, thankfully there was water. Coke comes in a can, that s classy. Went to Torchy s Tacos the next day, never ate at TR again during our stay.

How does this place have 4.1 stars? It is part of the resort so you d expect near fine dining but it s anything but. The building itself needs to be updated and it s clear the dining room is converted from banquet halls, is an awkward layout. The waiters are all international which is cool except they cannot answer simple questions about the menu, make recommendations, and forget about asking anything regarding wine. Lastly, the food is wholly underwhelming. There is a breakfast buffet that runs $25/pp and is what you d get at a holiday inn free breakfast. We offered breakfast ala carte and it was okay, nothing horrible but nothing special. Another day we got the meat and cheese board which was served is plastic cups with lids.. horrible presentation but even worse the prosciutto was old and discolored. It s was not good and cost $30. Additionally, the cocktails are fine but nothing outstanding and are $20 each. Even a basic Jack & Coke was over $15. Lastly, we ordered bbq.. Meat was dry with very little flavor, beans tasted like they were dumped out of a can. DON T waste a meal here, there are so many other, better choices.

Was looking for a nice dinner for a family get together, but the restaurant is not what it once was. Fly in a $20 glass of wine. Bone in the spare ribs broken into many small pieces. All the other dishes (shrimp and grits, smoked salmon, and sausage) were all mediocre and overpriced. I would say you re paying for the view, but when the restaurant was practically empty and we requested a table by the window, the hostess said it was reserved and sat us at the back of the restaurant. 2 hours later after our meal, the restaurant was still almost empty with many window tables. The resort has always been beautiful and top notch, but there are plenty of fine dining restaurants in Lakeway and Lake Travis area. Save yourself an experience like this and try nicer local restaurants.

Food was really awful. Ordered the watermelon salad and what arrived was five pieces of arugula with a mound of watermelon on top that was so soaked in vodka I could not even eat it. No other flavor came through on the salad besides vodka. And it was $18. Most side salads are typically twice the size of that and it was supposed to me a main dish. The rest of the table was not impressed either. Vegetables were cooked badly and the ravioli was not enjoyable. Extremely pricey for low quality food. Our server was super nice and helpful but I will definitely not be returning. Dietary restrictions: There are no vegan dishes on the menu. With a dairy allergy it was difficult to eat here. The modified watermelon salad with no feta was my only option.

We live in the area and we re looking for somewhere new for breakfast. The staff was VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. Unfortunately they were only offering a buffet. I ve had stomach surgery and can t eat more than a saucer of food at a time so paying for a buffet is a solid pass. The team there didn t even know that I had that but offered the main menu anyway. Again I m super appreciative of that; however the food was just not good. My husband got the chicken and waffles. He said it was just frozen fried chicken and the waffle was so sugary. I had eggs and hash browns. Well I was not expecting a hash brown like you can get at McDonald s. The view and ambiance were great. We won t be back for meals.

Server was nice but was very slow and not attentive. Drinks took awhile. Entrees came out the same time as appetizers. Pork chop was dry and by the time server came back to ask how everything was, my guest had finished eating so I didn t order anything else. About 20 min after we left, he threw up his food, so that was crappy. Bad meat (he had the short rib). Pretty restaurant and view, but ambiance is very dated. Lots of wasted space. Dinner menu is limited. Wish I had better things to say!

Wanted to have a nice Mothers Day Day brunch. I set reservations and called to confirm they were doing a normal brunch for Mother s Day. However when we arrived they changed the menu to a buffet brunch and without any other options we were forced to overpay about $100 per person. The management wasn t very concerned or seem to care much. Food was ok, but I was specifically looking to not have a buffet. They need to work on communication and probably putting information on the website about special occasions which affects their menus and their experience. I live close by and won t be dining here again

The staff last sunday was particularly limited, but there were very few people to serve, so I would have understood except they took a very long time to get to us at every turn. The restaurant looked nice with a nice view and they ve been there a long time, but there s a reason it was completely empty during lunchtime The food was not impressive and expensive. I expected a lot more of all of the dishes we had with the cost attached. The hamburgers were the big downfall. They certainly did not have the taste of a ~$20 burger, the meat was tasteless and dry (overcooked). The food options also could have been more elaborate and the drinks were all heavily overpriced. Overall, I won t be going back unless they reduce their prices.

Lizeth was AMAZING!! She remembered I wanted Gouda and she brought it to us even though it wasn t on the menu. She was quick to refill our wine with the bottle we bought. She was quick to refill our water and was great to bring extra bread on the house to complete our charcuterie appetizers. Five star service with even an a hug to boot!!!! Overpriced and low quality. I ordered the crispy pork, which was more of a soggy pork loaf that still managed to be quite dry. Mushroom side was canned. Service was inexplicably slow considering the ample number of employees and the fact that only 4 or 5 tables had guests. Our table was dirty on arrival. No effort was made to clean it. As a guest at a 4star resort like this, I expect room service. Or some sort of food available on the property. No food menus at the huge pool, no food inside hotel. I walked around in my bathing suit like an idiot for 30 minutes trying to find it. Second attempt- Online it said it have a breakfast voucher. False. My eggs were watery, unseasoned. The only reason this restaurant is still in business, is because there is no alternative. We are staying at the Lakeway resort and have dined in this restaurant two nights in a row. The first night was forgetful, overpriced and painfully slow, which was surprising since we were the only table on a Thursday at 6pm. The following night however, we decided to go again out of lack of options. The restaurant was about 1/4 full and we ordered cocktails and the nights special appetizer of oysters on the half shell. 90 minutes later we received our appetizers which were on salt, not ice which was totally abnormal. Two of the couples we were with sent it back because it was so odd. My husband and I ate ours, and while it was the worst oyster experience of my life, I think they were safe... Then comes the main course. My husband ordered the same club sandwich he had the night before, however this time it was so incredibly spicy!! There was absolutely no reason for the spice. It wasnt on the menu that way and the only explanation is retaliation for spending back the oysters. I literally will never step foot in that restaurant again.

My wife and I were so excited to be staying here over the weekend only to have been let down by the restaurant. It took about an hour for our food - our server was very kind but kept forgetting to bring things, such as the side salad, drinks, and others. The people that sat down after us got their food before us. The couple on the other side got up and left after waiting for 30 minutes and still not having drinks. They also are out of many things on the menu Just not the experience you expect when paying almost $100 for 2 people. Will leave the resort to eat from for the rest of the trip.

Lakeside balcony views were spectacular. Staff and servers were very polite, courteous, and attentive to our needs. Food presentation was acceptable. Deducting one star because the scrambled eggs didnt taste like real egg.

We came to the Lakeway Resort to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary and decided to get an appetizer and dessert at the TR Restaurant. Gizem was our waitress and she was wonderful. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of some ingredients but what she suggested was absolutely yummy. Everyone we interacted with at the TR Restaurant made us feel live VIP members of the resort and wished us happy anniversary. I would highly recommend the TR Restaurant b/c you wont be disappointed.

Different, the menu had been changed to accommodate Covid changes and challenges..I did enjoy the hospitality and the Chicken and Kale soup..the compilation of meats, cheese, an olives is worth mentioning..Just feel the menu could of been a lil more diverse. Ooooh yeah please check your chairs, as there was a child bearing Mother with her family that almost fell due to the legs on the chair she sat in being very unstable..

Celebrating our tenth year wedding anniversary! Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. Manager Bhye was extremely attentive and made sure we had a great experience from the minute we walked up to the door. Recommended to anyone who wants some quite time (in January)and great food.

Asked for an extra egg and they charged me $12. So I Asked the waiter why I was charged $12 for a scrambled egg and he laughed and couldn t answer. Overpriced, understaffed. Not great food. Their buffet used to be great.

The staff was kind. The steak was over cooked but my boyfriend really enjoyed the pasta. We also had breakfast there and it was amazing! You gotta try the french toast. If possible, try to eat outside for a nice view.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, terrible food. Worst salmon Ive ever had. The steak was a decent cut, but was very bland. I had two old fashioneds that were actually very good, but after $150 (tip included) the experience was not money well spent.
