Sadly we ve driven to get food 3 times an hour and a half before they close and they already cleaned the grill and didn t have chicken for two orders. The workers are sadly very rude and straight up told us they didn t want to stay and clean the grill so they clean it early. We love mobetta s but this is the WORST location due to young staff that just don t want to work. We hope this improves, WE WANT TO GIVE YOU OUR MONEY but we need chicken

I picked up food to take to family with a strong Hawaii connection. Ordering was incredibly easy, pickup incredibly easy. I was a little concerned because of a previous experience with a competitor, but everything was delicious! It is possible to have macaroni salad not swimming in Mayo. Because of my previous negative experience with Mac salad I ordered a green salad, but received macaroni instead. That is the sole negative, and it ended up being fine. I ll be back!

I recently ordered carry-out from Mo Bettahs and was quite pleased with my experience. I tried both the steak and the katsu chicken. The katsu chicken was a standout crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Try it with their teriyaki dipping sauce for a sweet and salty flavor combination. I gave the food a 5 star, but Im still up in the air deciding on whether or not I like this better than hawaiin bros. I am leaning towards MO Bettahs, but just to play it safe Ill keep eating here!!! Great food, had a great atmosphere with Hawaiian up-beat music. Food was delicious, hot and fresh. Customer service was outstanding, very friendly with the desire to please. I called yesterday May 4th, at 11:30 a.m. to put in a catering order for my daughters birthday party (feed 12 people package, $150) for Sunday May 5th pick up 11:30 a.m. I show up Sunday at 11:20am and they have no record of my order from my phone call yesterday!!! I even spoke to two workers yesterday and triple confirmed and kept asking do I need to call ahead of time to make sure you are ready for me to pick up, and I kept being reassured no you dont need to you can just come get it. Complete failure on the management side because supposedly it was a manager that took my order and reassured me everything would be ready. So here I am sitting in my car waiting for my order to just now get started to be made. Just imagine if I were to have shown up later and found out nothing was on record or ready for me! What a huge disappointment for a place thats been servicing good food since they opened. This is a major failure. I guess Im just lucky the worker that was there at pick up was able to get things right for his manager that failed.

Havent had a bad meal/ experience since I began going there when it opened. My favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken and the Katsu Chicken smothered in teriyaki sauce. Its also the only place that has good teriyaki sauce in a to go container. Other places to-go teriyaki sauce usually has a weird flavor compared to the in store version.

My husband and I love Mo Bettahs and always go to the one in Forney. We were in the area and happy to spot our favorite eatery, however once we entered we were sadly disappointed. The restaurant was very dirty, tables unclean, and drink area nasty. The server preparing the food (young guy with big curly hair) was spilling food all over the counter and opening the chicken containers with the food tongs. Fortunate for us this location was just a quick stop and not the local one in our area, but I highly discourage anyone to eat here.

I have previously dined at the Mansfield location and enjoyed good food and professional service. However, tonight my experience at the Sachse location was disappointing. The floors were sticky, the kitchen was messy, and the meats were all mixed up. Despite these issues, we decided to give it a chance and started eating, but soon found that the chicken was not cooked all the way through. The center of the larger pieces was still raw. When I brought this to the attention of the gentleman who checked us out, he simply looked at the cook and said that he wasnt cooking it right. I was not offered an apology or a refund, and we have no plans to return to this location.

Very disappointed this evening...one of our meals was missing (not the first time this has happened). When its thru delivery it takes another 30 - 40 min to get the food. When its through the drive thru and you dont realize until you get home, you have to go back and pick it up. You also have to go back to the store to get a refund. Giving up on delivery and definitely double checking when using the drive thru. The food was good, but not sure if its worth the inconvenience.

My overall experience was great; from the customer service to the ambiance and the service. We were greeted warmly and the staff was friendly. We looked around as they waited on us. It was a great place. My two main complaints were the prices and the food. My wife and Is meal came out to $65. I was not expecting that. Nevertheless, it was OK because we wanted to try it. The food was missing something. Im not sure what it was. I recognize I should not compare to what I have at home but I will say, when Mexicans come here, they can find a taste of Mexico here. I am not opposed to the tastes, but, I was expecting something else... a taste of home maybe? However, Im glad its bringing a little taste of home into the far reaches of Texas. My experience was great and if you set your expectations right (its not going to taste exactly like what you get on the islands), then you will be OK. Grind on!

Youll see alot of comparisons in this review to give you an idea of similarly themed restaurants and how they differ. Our first time trying this place. Drove 20 minutes out of the way to get drive thru take away. Were going start there. Service: reached the drive thru at 9:44pm. Lights were still on, open sign still on, drive thru not coned off, stores open until 10pm. Pull up to the menu and am greeted by an automated voice announcing the location was closed. Very upset about the waste of time, I uttered an expletive phrase. At that point someone came back over the speaker to tell me they were in fact closed. I informed them their hours and the amount of time I spent getting there. They begrudgingly asked me what I wanted to order in a rushed nature. I make the order last about 45 seconds, remember 1st time here so I dont know the menu or sizes. Pull up to the window and noticed theyd already drained the frozen drink machines, so dont plan on getting one last 30 minutes. I waited 6 minutes for the worker to come to the window, she took my card and came back with the food in hand. Patronage shouldnt be looked at as being a burden. Hawaiian Bros. has phenomenal customer service, this joint didnt seem to want any customers. I wont mention which person it was, as Im not trying to get them fired. I just want management to keep an eye out to better the situation. Atmosphere: The store front is fairly small. The drive thru oddly placed at the back of the strip outlet on the opposite side of the building. The menu was also on the small side, which seemed to clutter all the options and info together. Price: Reasonably similar to Hawaiian Bros. The medium meal was about the same size as Hawaiian Bros large meal. Which puts them in the same cost bracket. After adding the steak I believe it was about $15.40, no steak its about $14 a medium meal. Food: Freaking awesome! I would rate it higher than Hawaiian Bros. for flavor, though they are two different types of food really. The only thing they share meat wise is the Luau pork, and steamed rice/macaroni salad. This place is more Japanese fusion, while H Bros is American Chinese fusion. We had the Teriyaki chicken and steak, as well as the chicken Katsu and Luau pork. The teriyaki reminds me of Teriyaki Express in Town East mall, IYKYK. This is a flavor Ive been missing since they closed down, char grilled teriyaki. The steak was absolutely stunning, thin tender slices of actual beef that you could discern actual striations of the grain. Not broccoli beef thats just mushy morsels. Katsu was crispy, pork was clean tasting and didnt have that wet dog smell that can sometimes accompany it. We really loved that they put the meat on a bed of shredded cabbage, the rice was cooked right. They only have 2 sauces, the teriyaki and katsu. Both were good, but the katsu tasted like a mixture of katsu and Arbys red sauce. Sadly no BBQ sauce for you pork lovers, but the katsu could be used in its place. Overall pleased with the purchase, and wish there was a closer location to us...with better staff. Parking: Parking in front and back of the strip outlet where its located.

Updated review and 100% redemption! When I say the food is worth it, I can t just stop going because of one mishap. 11/9, 8:30pm, I ordered the same thing as last time and I was in and out within 3 minutes. Order was correct, service was spot on and food delicious! Been 3x now and each time is so good. Updated photo with correct two scoops of rice and extra mac salad. TY!!!! I arrived at 8:18pm in the drive thru. Ordered the EKOLU plate (per receipt). I was asked if I could wait 7 minutes and if I could park in the parking lot and they would bring it out. 8:33pm I walked inside to ask the status of my food and the drive thru attendant and the front cashier looked at me and the cashier said she messed up and he would get my order. I sat in the dining room till 8:59pm, no update from any staff. I finally received my food but it definitely left with a bad experience. 4-5 people got their food and counted 5-6 times the drive thru girl gave other cars their food. I m not bashing anyone or the business but maybe train them to touch base with customers so they don t sit there waiting and wondering. Delicious food but tonight was a miss on the service Came home to incorrect order. What was ordered versus pictured. Wanted extra mac salad not rice. Lol win some, lose some. I should have checked before leaving but I was over it at that point I Counted 4 cameras in the dining room. Definitely review the footage could be useful for training purposes. I was sitting at the middle table, close to the food pickup window.

Come in to get a meal and people standing around and had to wait 10 minutes because its not even cooked I am the only one in the place. There to worried about closing at 8pm . So I guess you may need to call ahead to make sure theres food to eat.

Highly recommend the pepper chicken and the teriyaki chicken; fried chicken strips were really good, but I literally waited for them to come out of the fryer... very hot and fresh (refer to pics on the menu for MoBs trade names). Ask for the Mac salad in a separate bowl or it gets mixed in the rice and lettuce since everything goes in a single tray.

Team members moved very, very slowly. I dont know what they would do with an actual lunch rush. Only one person taking orders. Teriyaki chicken was good, but no knives to cut it. Dont know how you can eat here with a child. Teriyaki steak was over cooked, tough and dry. Also, both bathrooms were locked and unavailable the entire time we were there. I was really looking forward to another Hawaiian restaurant in the area. But sadly 3 stars is about the best I can do. Each plate comes with 2 meats. I had the teriyaki chicken and kaula pork. My wife had teriyaki chicken and teriyaki steak. Pros: 1-The teriyaki chicken is good. A bit charred but good flavor. Big pieces, and a generous portion 2-They give you a lot of food 3-The sides are descent. Macaroni salad was not over dressed and the rice was cooked well. Cons: 1-Order system is a joke. You stand at the service counter and order. Person in front of me ordered 6 plates. ONE AT A TIME. Took over 10 minutes because there was only one person trying to fill the order. Everyone else behind the counter moved in slow motion 2-The teriyaki steak. Cheap cut of meat, very tough, and cooked beyond the point of having flavor. AND, there Is an upcharge for it. As bad as it was there should have been a discount. 3-The pork... just dont order it. No clue how it was prepared but my guess is boiled. Mine had more fat than meat. 4- No knives! Sounds like a petty complaint but when you have large pieces of proteins it would be nice to have something besides a plastic fork and chopsticks One other thing we noticed. Thet put the proteins on shreadded cabbage. Not an issue. The odd part was we watched the person preparing our plates take a bag of cole slaw mix out of the cooler, open it up, remove the shreadded carrots and purple cabbage and toss them to the side, and dump the green cabbage into the prep bin. Seemed odd. Why not just make cole slaw and serve on that?

Very good atmosphere and friendly staff. Food quality is hot and miss. Ive tried everything on the menu so far but what I can say with the chicken is sometimes its extremely charred/burnt where my daughter or wife wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole. When burnt its also super dry. The shrimp I am not sure if it changed but feels frozen and not fresh. The pogo juice 80% of the time is perfect but today was extremely sour. Im a sucker for Hawaiian food only if they had spam musubi as well. Vegetarian options: Has a salad. Parking: Just very tight lot. Kid-friendliness: Kids love the food but no playground.

Mo Bettahs is a good change of pace. The menu is simple and has good taste. They dont serve iced tea from a decanter but they still have a good selection of drinks. The quality of the chicken varies but the taste is really good. The sides are plain. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Like I said earlier, its a good change of pace.

I have been here twice already. Yes there are a lot of these Hawaiian places popping up . But the food here I will. Compare and say is better than Hawaiian brothers . Now I am not going to say that Hawaiian brothers is not bad. They are good and offer a few different things. But I feel as if the flavor of the teriyaki stake is more than on point. The chicken is moist. And the macaroni salad is creamy as hell. People are friendly. And the prices are very easy on the pocketbook. I recommend the mini (9.99) unless you get the steak (1.50) more but so worth it. I am a big eater. And the mini does me fine like I said the mini 2 meats rice and macaroni salad and a large drink and I am tight. Will definitely be going back. I might just go back tonight for dinner.
