Although the staff at Legacy Legal Care was pleasant, we ultimately found a more cost-effective option for our needs after seeking a second opinion. We were told we would need a trust which was quite costly with Your Legacy Legal Care, although there were more cost-effective options available that were not mentioned to us. When getting a second opinion they provided us with alternative options to achieve the same goal, which is to avoid probate. While they provided accurate information, we were disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding alternative solutions and on top of that their steep rates. Additionally, the process of obtaining a refund was prolonged and required multiple follow-ups, causing inconvenience, and accruing interest charges on the amount. We were told it would take 3 weeks to receive a refund. It took over a month and several times of us following up with their company to get our refund. The person in charge of refunds was also very hard to get a hold of and often times did not call back. Clearer, more honest, and transparent communication about available choices would greatly improve customer satisfaction in the future.

Great experience--experienced workers: from the Office Staff, to Legal Assistants, to Lawyer, we had nothing but conscientious care, concern, and readily available answers to our questions--even about using their portal to view our documents. Everyone is very nice. The problem I had with the office was the fact that as older adults, the ones that your firm is now focused on are not always willing to do everything on line or rely on a portal for information. I will, however use them in the future.This is a correction to my four star review. Now perhaps a one. After I gave this firm my business (wills, living trust, irrevocable trust, will probate, gift deeds and correction deeds) I suggested that they handle the attempt to obtain medicaid for my mom as she was going into nursing home. After three weeks in that hell hole of a place I decided to take her home with me and we informed you guys to stop the proceedings. I was certainly willing to have you keep all that we gave you for the work you had done, but you refused to give us anything back. Well you have seen the last of me and I will not be recommending your firm to any of my family.

I have been thoroughly pleased with this firm. They are very professional. I am not a fan of lawyers. I was very nervous going into the first meeting. It is never easy talking about how you want to plan for the end of your life. Everyone that we talked to was so kind and answered all of our questions. They went over things that we needed to understand and how we could handle it. I admitt that I was prepared for a hard selling job but they explained everything to us and told us to think about we needed. I happened to come across Your Legacy Legal Care (formerly Hegwood Law Group) on Facebook and decided to register for their free webinar on estate planning. So glad I did! Since the death of my brother this past August & my sister in 2019, and neither one leaving a will, I knew I had to make plans for myself & my spouse. I first discovered about trusts through my parents who had set one up. When the estate went into effect and everything was settled without having to go through the hassle of probate, I knew that it was the best thing to do. I was facing multiple frightening family issues. Our family needed assistance in elder care law. Payment was made up front amounting to several thousands of dollars. In my total inexperience I asked for quality explanations of the procedures and documents I was being called upon to provide. I experienced extremely poor responses and when I became exasperated was professionally scolded. It just seemed that no one could hear what I was saying. Several times I was told that something had been sent and later a duh moment that it had not. Obviously, there are several here that have good experiences. Mine was horrible!

I wish I could give them even less than 1 star. We paid them upfront (bad idea) and they literally gave us 10 mins of time and said Im sorry we cant help you. But thank you for your money. NO REFUND. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. And yes you have a credit card with my name on it. I really havent had alot of dealings with lawyers, but went in dreading the whole thing and came out very happy that it was not like I expected. All the people in the office where a delight. ... Very friendly and informative on different issues I had going on. When I needed to ask a question never had a problem getting them on the phone with a quick answer. Will be using them very soon again for family matters. Definitely recommended if you need to make a Will or probate ....everyone waits till the last minute for there Will you never know its for the best of everyone to have one.....

Hegwood Law Group by far is one of the best law firms I ve worked with. I had estate matters in TX that were mishandled by a different attorney. After one phone consult they immediately stepped in and took over finalizing the estate concerns. Danielle and Kim were always available day or night ready to answer any questions I had. Even when I expressed bad judgement due to lack of knowledge they always steered me in the right direction instead of going with whatever the client says . To me that exudes true client focused representation. Many law firms would ve easily seen me as an opportunity to maximize a bill being that I lived in NC but not Hedgewood. I recommend them any day and I consider them my TX attorneys.
