Oh my god! This place is absolutely amazing! Sandy was a pleasure to talk to. Alex is amazing in the front of the house whilevdad is in the back cooking up food that you usually read about or watch on Food Network! And the drinks are to die for absolute must if youre ever in the area. Please do not discount or overlook this place. You wont be sorry. Although we found this spot by accident, it will now become a regular must stop on any visit down to Deep Ellum! Please do yourself your body and your heart a favor and stop by and say hi to Sandy and Alex and enjoy some of the areas best Mexican food! I cant wait to go back.

You really should try this family owned gem. We discovered it on a date night and was so impressed. Sandy and her son, Alex make sure the guests are well taken care of while Dad cooks amazing food in the kitchen. Everything is fresh and made with love. The chips were warm, the sala bottomless and the queso creamy. We were given a taste of the mole sauce. It was so yummy that I could drink it out of a mug. Run, dont walk to this little gem. It is a must try.

Found this place by luck when searching on Google maps. A group of us were wandering around and wanted to eat so we ended up there. What an incredible meal we had! My tacos were the best I had since arriving in Dallas and everyone else loved their food. Small local restaurant with amazing service, nothing fancy but totally worth the visit.

Every time I go, it s somehow better than the last. Today I went for lunch and got a plate of cheese enchiladas with a beef taco and some queso. Yes, the enchiladas are great. Sure, the queso slapped. And you KNOW that taco was crunchy. But when I tell you the little pile of salad with the most AMAZING DRESSING I VE EVER HAD was absolutely the star of the show, I am not even kidding. It was perfect. The whole plate was picturesque, at least for a lover of TexMex like myself. P.S - My server brought the little cup of onions without me even having to ask. It s the little things, y all.

My dinner at Pepe s & Misto s was honestly one of the best Tex-Mex that I ve had. I ve been eating Tex-Mex most of my adult life in Texas. Visited a friend in Dallas and we went here. The yellow cheese dip was amazing-rich satisfying flavor, the chips were good, but I prefer a thinner crisper chip. But it s all a matter of preference. I had the cheese enchilada with chili sauce, a ground beef taco, and rice and beans. I m telling you, these beans are the real deal. Thick and flavored just right. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the enchilada had a delicious cheese center. A margarita rounded out my dinner-well balanced and also fantastic. Also, our server was courteous and on top of it! Can t wait to go back.

Always one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants in the city of Dallas. Their homemade thin flour tortillas are phenomenal (you can buy them raw to go at home in packs of 20 for $8 FYI), their fajitas are awesome, and their special dish of Pollo al Mojo De Ajo is not something to be missed. Thankfully they are back open after some renovation work. Go and visit!

This is one of the better Mexican spots I ve tried in Dallas. It s also been open for 30 years! The Al pastor tacos here are packed with ridiculous flavor. The pork is cooked in a pineapple cascabel (chile) sauce. The flavors will hit you with your first bite. Trust me, order the Al pastor tacos. The rice and pickled onions and veggies that come with the tacos on the side are really good too. The refried beans were good. The salsa that came with the chips was some of the best I think I ve tried. It was so warm! Really cool artwork on the walls too. Friendly staff and good service. I will definitely be coming back for a second visit!

The waiter we had was amazing and was very friendly. i ordered the pollo Al Chipotle which in my opinion was disgusting, chipotle sauce is supposed to be a light pink/red color but it was green and had a terrible aftertaste. I asked to have a different meal or to get my money back which they rufused to do either since it was in detail on the menu when it did not explain what the chipotle sauce would consist of nor say how they would have the chicken tough to bite through. In order for two people to eat a 20 dollar meal it was 58 dollars including 10 dollars for two drinks and a 4 dollar service fee since i couldn t afford much of a tip after that i left 2 dollars (which i hated doing because the server was amazing) the next day they overcharged me on the tip leaving me negative on my cash app account. i will never be returning again as i feel robbed of my taste buds and money. i don t recommend.

Management was very present and clearly doing their part in the team taking checks, talking to guests, it was fantastic. I had sweet tea and honestly that was my favorite part. It probably send silly but the beverage really makes the medal for me and I like tea to taste like tea not watery or weak, and also not bitter. It was perfect. Everyone in our party couldnt say enough good things about the place.

Stopped in here for dinner on our way to a concert at Dos Equis Pavilion. Even though we came in on a Saturday night, we were seated quickly. Service was very friendly and food and drinks came out quickly. There are complementary chips and salsa, and both are very good. Chips are thick and crunchy. I had the spicy skinny margarita, which was fantastic. My wife had a Paloma, which was also very good. Big menu with standard Tex Mex options, which is a good thing! My wife had the deep-fried mini tacos from the appetizer menu (similar to Jack-in-the-Box, but actually homemade and tasty), and I had the combo plate with enchiladas and a beef fajita taco. Highly recommended if you re in the area looking for a good Tex-Mex dinner!

Fast forward to today, I will remember how good and tasty this food was for the next ten years. The Paloma was amazing the dried grapefruit was a nice touch. I got the shrimp chipotle, and was very pleased with the dish. It was tasty, authentic, not too spicy the shrimp or camarones were fresh juicy tender and quite extraordinary. Even the rice and beans were delish. The food came with grilled veggies and it was the best part. All in all don t hesitate to go here. Hopefully it won t take me ten years to come back!!

The Chipotle Enchiladas sounded weird with the wine reduction but a friend told me I had to get it and I cant thank them enough for that recommendation. Also I had the mole poblano chicken enchilada and a tamale with Verde. The mole was perfection. I had such a wonderful meal!!! The space is adorable and the service was great.

Being on the outskirts of Dallas, we are not used to good food anymore; especially any type of Hispanic / TexMex food after you come from Houston. Pepes & Mitos, Tacos Norteños was DELISH! Everything actually had flavor. More than just hot spice tomatoes and vinegar. The chip sauce could be bottled and sold and these folks could retire on that alone. The tacos, beans, chip sauce I just wanted to eat more. Chips were well cooked and still warm and rice was good too. I really want to go back for more!

Great Tex-Mex food in a nice casual atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Parking can be a challenge due to Deep Ellums popularity.

Food: 4.5/5 wish the chips were warmed Service: 5/10 Drinks: 5/10 Atmosphere: good for kids, just friends or a date. I live around the corner for here and I order to go mostly. Although sometimes I come here with friends and love the atmosphere too. It s not fine dining but the food is amazing and the drinks are great too. My severs are always polite and the manager seems cool too. Parking: Unless you go during a time when Deep Ellum isn t busy you will likely have a little trouble finding parking. All parking is paid as well.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurant I ve been to in a long time. I had a get together with my coworkers. I had ordered a dinner plate of chicken fajitas with mushrooms and bell peppers. It was so great! The tortillas were made from scratch and it tasted so good. Something that you will not find in a grocery store. It came out sizzling hot! This restaurant is worth a try again because I would like to try another plate.

Pepe and Mito s offers a superb menu of Tex Mex classics while paying homage to their Mexican cuisine roots! From the moment you walk in, your senses are welcomed by both the friendly environment and inviting aromas emanating from the kitchen! The sizzling fajita plate is a Tex Mex favorite that does not disappoint. The beef and chicken were both cooked to utter perfection with sides to match. The Ribeye A La Tampiqueña is a top tier selection paired with a tasty chipotle enchilada and a bowl of charro beans for those with a healthy appetite! Accompany your meals with either the Skinny Margarita or the Paloma to enhance your dining experience! P.S. Free chips and salsa is a big green flag!

New to me spot in Deep Ellum. The bartender and co-owner Sandra I believe her name was made me feel like I was at my neighborhood bar. Delicious food and margaritas were pretty tasty. New lunch spot for many more lunches to come!

The food is excellent, but when I called to place a togo order today at lunch the woman asked me if I wanted the lunch portion or the dinner portion for my fajitas I told her dinner but unfortunately when I got home I discovered I had received the same portion as the lunch but paid for the dinner. I have had both portions in the past so I recognize that it was incorrect.

I read this was a perfect spot for mex-tex. The best thing we ate was the chicken fried tostadas. They were so good. I had enchiladas, which I had the night before elsewhere that were better. The chicken tacos were really good! Overall it was a good meal in a more traditional setting.
