I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I had a very pleasant waitress, Myrissa that went above and beyond for me. Just don t go literally anywhere s better I ordered the surf and turf with the lobster roll (which is a sushi roll) and opted for miso mashed potatoes side dish. We ordered the steak medium rare, came medium well, no sear marks, absolutely no seasoning (not even salt and pepper) honestly? Tasted like it was microwaved, what I d expect a dollar tree steak would taste like. And the potatoes? Did their mixer break?? It was largely clumps (large), very dry as if they mashed with their hands and water only. Lobster roll was actually not bad and the only thing worth paying the upgrade for. I also sampled the shrimp tacos (underwhelming but at least had some flavor), and the small potato fingers which were quite hard. Very loud and the price does not even remotely line up with the quality. Oh and takes a while to get your food too, would have sent it back if I wasn t absolutely starving by the time it came. Rarely rate food joints, but it s worth it.

This has 100% to do with the service or lack thereof. We sat at the bar, and after 15 minutes or so, we got noticed. We were 2 out of 6 at the bar. The food was slow to arrive but was good. The bartender was slow on refills and was more concerned about texting at the end of the bar facing away from the patrons. After 15 minutes... We actually had to go get her attention to finish and pay. No apologies from her. After a year we tried Kona again.... well the bar service is still bad. Like looked us in the eyes and moved on bad. No hey be right with you sorry Ill be right back nothing just ignored by two bartenders... again.

Went for lunch with a coworker, ordered the power lunch. Tomato bisque, with a bacon cheeseburger. Waitress Marisol asked so you want the power lunch I said yes. Food took a little bit and place did not seem busy. Ate my soup pretty slow waiting on my burger. Marisol asked how we were doing and I asked for my burger to go since it was taking awhile. She said yeah I can box it up, then said you want to order a burger to go I said no, the one I ordered. She told me I didnt order the power lunch, then I never told her what main entree I wanted. My coworker chimed in that I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. So I ended up just said it was fine and paid $15 for a soup instead of $20 for the power lunch. Side note, there was also a guy in a plain t-shirt standing by the food counter, touching her face. I dont know if he was cleaning it or what, then later saw him behind the counter pretty close to another female cook while she was working.

My boyfriend and I havent been to Kona in a long time, after a late night of running errands. We decided to pop into happy hour for a few drinks and bites. The place was pretty empty. The booth they sat us in needed to be reupholstered bad.(Not a big deal just a note) The waiter started off fine. Then he messed up our order, but just small things so we didnt mind and didnt wanna bother him ,probably had a long day. Then he vanished for a long time and I needed a drink bad, ate something really spicy. He finally came back, ripped the drink off the table. When I said thank you when he brought it back he said nothing and looked so angry because I had asked for a refill. He finally came back at the end and that was that. But his whole attitude was off putting. My boyfriend and I both have worked customer service our whole lives so we get bad days, but we never take it out on the customers. We also dont go out often so thanks for ruining it with your attitude. The food was ok, has definitely gone done a bit but still tasty. Disappointed to say the least.

They should focus on the quality of the food they serve . The food i odered was burnt and the chicken letuce wrap was not only smaller than i remember, but it also did not taste the same as the Kona Grill at La Cantera, which i would prefer over this Kona grill. Service was extremely slow. It took almost 30-45 minutes just to bring out sushi! My husband waited about 20 minutes just to get a refill of his drink. I do NOT recommend this place. Which is sad because i really love the Kona Grill chain.

Not worth it! I took my husband and kids there for fathers day and spend so much money for food that didnt even taste good. The portions were very small and way overpriced. I usually take pictures but this time I was way to disappoint to even think of pictures. Our waiter was very attentive and nice but everything else NOT WORTH IT. I ordered fish and chips and got 1 slice of fish with 8 fries for 38 dollars..ridiculous. Oh and on top of that vallet parking was 10 dollars

We come here a lot more then once a month and never have we had a bad waiter .. Ramon I think his name was, he was chubby guy with long nails seemed annoyed and anytime we asked for something he told us to wait he would take the order , appetizers or any additional items together even if it was a glass of water or wait for everyone to add something , when it was time to pay he stood there to watch what his tip was going to be and didn t give you space to decide yourself he held the table tablet and said wow that s it , since I tipped $5 on a $40 tab, mind you he even said I ordered my food wrong that it was on me not him.. very unpleasant, rude and seem to not enjoy his job..
