Came here today with wife and kid. I have tried majority bbq places around Austin area and this place is definitely up there on some of the best bbq places. We got the Brisket and beef Rib. It was absolutely amazing. And to the person who gave a 1 star for raw smoked chicken. Tell me you have never had smoked chicken without telling me.

This place was firing on all cylinders. All the meats were great, and I love seeing a BBQ spot offer lamb. All the sides we tried were tasty as well. The service was great and the place was clean and had a great atmosphere. One of the better BBQ spots Ive tried, and I say that as someone whos been to Blacks, Terry Blacks, etc. The menu is halal. So if you are a Muslim or simply want to support humanely slaughtered animals, this is the best option in the Austin area. Vegetarian options: Sides are vegetarian and tasty.

Halal bbq place in north Austin close to roundrock. The meats were excellent. They were all tender n properly seasoned. All of them tasted great. We also took sides of mac n cheese, corn n coleslaw, which paired really well with the main courses. As can be seen in the pictures, we got the chicken, the brisket burger, beef ribs, beef brisket, n beef sausage. The beef sausage couldve been a bit more juicy, but it still tasted great. Will be returning in the future hopefully.

Had driven by a number of times and finally went here on whim on a Sunday night right before close. They were out of most of their sides which tells me that people like what they re doing. They also had limited meats left. Again, an indicator of quality. A number of people came in after us and were disappointed they were all out of various items. I could tell that some of these people were regulars. They do a wonderful job with their beef rib. Unlike other places in Austin (a certain place on Barton Springs Rd.) their rub did not overpower the flavor of the meat. The price of the beef rib was spot on as well, much cheaper than other bbq places. Opted for moist brisket and it passed the pull test. The half chicken is seasoned well and the skin was perfect. Ordered the quail, and it was amazing. Such a good option to have at a bbq place. I plan to go here more regularly as it is pretty good and also pretty close to my house :)

Excellent food. I was dealt by Tammer and Sterling (great guys). We had friends visiting from Dallas we all enjoyed food there. In my personal opinion, its the best option for muslims looking for Halal food and food is better than Rudys and Terry Blacks BBQ. I will go there again.

We wanted to save time so we ordered moist brisket with bread, pickles and onions. A side of cream corn and green beans. Signed the receipt for $65 which listed all the food. Came home to find out the order was missing the onions, pickles and bread and the meat was lean not moist. They said come back in and we ll exchange it and give you the missing items. Bottom line was to save time. Why would I go back and waste time. They should have checked the order to see everything was correct before they bagged everything up. So many companies skip the details and let you down when you arrive at home to find missing food or giving you the wrong food. Sad but True.

The sweet corn was nice and the brisket was great but the green peas was meh and the barbecue was too sweet. The atmosphere was decent and the service was pretty great though. Ive been coming here intermittently since they opened as a brick-and-mortar. Being a huge fan of Texas BBQ, I often end up sort of despairing when friends visit from out of town and have halal or kosher requirements. Naser Alzer has changed all that for me. I now have a very easy recommendation, even just for BBQ in Cedar Park *in general*, the brisket (ordered moist) is spot-on, the ribs are impeccable, the lamb-jalapeno sausage is SUPER delicious, and those smoked burgers for when Im craving a burger -- well, I could just list their menu, point anywhere, and just say, yup, there you go. The lone ding for the atmosphere is just because being a strip mall restaurant brings with it a certain sort of sterility that feels at odds with the warmth of the staff and the quality of the barbecue

The Brisket needs more work by the grill master - limited use of dry rub, deficiency in smokiness, wood selection, butcher needs to be changed and so on. Clearly marks for effort but customers expect a higher standard or two. The Ribs slid off the bone effortlessly. The fact that these were in short supply is clear proof of customer acceptance. Beef and Lamb Sausages had limited smoky flavor. Checked my nostrils; they werent clogged. The Half Chicken plate was satisfactory for those who prefer skin-on. It would have been better if some of the spices had been rubbed under the skin. The Cream Corn and Potato Salad were fine too but the Coleslaw was just a little on the dry side even if the basic ingredients had not been compromised. Good effort to cater to diverse customers with an eye on budget. But then it is always better to strive for a higher culinary standard and let word-of-mouth do the marketing for sales to grow. If prices turn customers away then hire a better cost accountant but avoid catering to the lowest common denominator when there are key differentiating characteristics in the much sought after menu - stand above the crowd (i.e. hire a better grill master)

This is finger licking, lip smacking GOOD!!! If you want home cooked, comfort southern bbq, look no further! I got the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Paid extra for an additional side of green beans. The brisket meat was tender and moist. Very little to no fat on my serving which I appreciate. The bbq sauce is savory and delectable. The mac and cheese was ooey gooey and thick noodles were used- no skinny Kraft noodles over here! The cheese sauce was gourmet, smooth and great. The green beans made me a little nervous when I didn t see bacon bits, but it turns out, it didn t need them! The flavor was packed with a punch of well seasoned beans and chunky chopped onions. Of course, as a lover of pickles, they were crunchy and juicy with perfect flavor. All in all- I m definitely returning again! I thought for the full meal plus drink, $20 was a good value! I highly recommend- the ambiance and staff were excellent! In the future, I d love to see a spicy bbq sauce (or maybe I just missed it- I was too busy relishing in that brisket! ). At $28 / lbs (March 2024) there should be enough room for profit and not having to steal from me. When placing the order, I purposefully ask the man taking my order to trim the fat because I dont want to get a lot of uneditable food in the brisket I paid for. This review is long overdue. I live in NJ but was visiting my mother who lives in TX. A few weeks before the trip, I was in touch with Omar who listened to all the catering requests I had for my family back home. I explained to him how I wanted things perfect, as my dad passed away a year ago and I didnt want my mother to cook anything in the kitchen. In other words, everything had to be perfect. Omar was a God send. This man made sure everything was set up correctly. From the Ribs, to the Brisket, and the last minute change to add jalapeño sausages. When I came to pick up the food, folks there were asking about my mom. Such good people there, and it was that down south hospitality I grew up knowing that I kissed being away from home for so long. As far as taste, everything was beautifully smoked. Ribs had the meat falling off, brisket extremely tender and the jalapeño beef sausage had the right amount of spice. Trust me when I tell you, this will be my go to spot when I come home and feed my family. 5 stars all the way through.

Another great experience eating Alzer s BBQ. This time we placed a pick up order online. It was very easy even though the menu is pretty extensive. I love the way they have packages of meats and sides. You can order and feed a small family or a larger group. Their level of customer service also has captured my attention when you are in the restaurant eating and you need to take some thing home to finish or as in our case this evening, you order a complete meal to go the way they package it is above and beyond. They not only use containers for the sides, but they over wrapped them with saran wrap to ensure there is no leakage. I truly appreciate this -as I can t really say how many times we ve picked up a go order at restaurants in general where something has leaked out by the time we ve gotten home. We always order a variety of meat here because it s so tender and delicious. Tonight we had beef, ribs, beef, brisket, and lamb sausage. I will say that without a doubt it was the most tender brisket I ve ever eaten ..EVER! I really enjoyed the lamb sausage as it s quite unique and has what I consider a bit of a lame aftertaste, which I enjoyed. My husband loves their beef ribs. We ordered green beans, potato salad, and cream corner as our sides. They are all prepared very nicely in our everything inside should be to their amazing meat . We ve always had positive interactions with their team. It s not a long drive from Leander to Cedar Park but we both agree that we would drive even further to enjoy this barbecue, so we re quite happy to have it close by. As you enter Cedar Park on 183 from the south just turn left on Cypress Creek Rd and you can t miss it. We ve never had a problem with the parking either. There is a shared designated parking lot for that little strip mall. We encourage you to give it a try!!

Ribs and briscut not cooked well. Didnt even take the silver skin off the ribs. BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup. Potato salad was revolting. Also sooo LITTLE for the money. They have good BBQ here. The meat is smoked overnight so it s juicy and delicious, especially the brisket and ribs. The burgers are really great. I always recommend this place to visitors. Only tried the grilled chicken once, and it felt a bit dry, so wouldn t advise getting that. Pretty much the whole menu is halal, but they do have a couple clearly marked non-halal items (Turkey and some beef sausage), but no pork. If you are going later in the evening it s best to call and confirm availability as they can t prepare the meat on-demand.

Driven by here a couple of times, finally stopped in. Lets talk about their Lamb Sausage, first. OMG! Ordered Lamb Rack, fatty brisket and a beef rib. I m a bit of a BBQ snob. I ain t gonna lie. We did our catering for 90 people at Frito Lay - PepsiCo today from Alzers and Naser went above and beyond. He brought a food truck and everything was fresh - from the brisket to the sides. Would highly recommend the restaurant and the catering service. Naser was also kind enough to pack around 20 boxes for us with the sides for some of our folks who couldn t make it in time. Thank you Alzers. Our team loved the food today and we ll be reaching out again!

My family and I went to Alzer s on Saturday! We absolutely loved the food and the service was amazing as well. My husband loved the Alzer Burger so much, he purchased two. It is currently a special! I hope they add it to their permanent menu! I am a vegetarian and had the baked beans, creamed corn, green beans and a baked potato. I wasn t a fan of the baked potato because it was a little too firm for my liking. However, literally, everything else was AMAZING!! I am almost tempted to go back and try the burger myself based on my husband s reaction but and trying to stay strong as a vegetarian! Lol Our son enjoyed the food as well! He had the chicken, baked beans and mac. We will return!!! Hmmm Maybe today! We are hooked! Thanks for awesome food and service!! Vegetarian options: The sides are all vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: There is something on the menu for everyone.

This place is an Austin Texas hidden gem. We are from Florida and were looking for some authentic BBQ ribs. The beef ribs are spectacular, tender, full of flavor and not greasy. The price was very reasonable for the high quality premium beef. Definitely coming back each time we visit Austin.

I went here for the first time today. Id never heard of it...it never popped on maps... I had low expectations because honestly CP BBQ is generally mediocre at best. We were really impressed! Our moist brisket was succulent with a perfect bark. Masterful perfect bark. Really really moist with no grease pooling in the tray. Beef sausage is good...not that plain beef sausage is exciting but theirs was good! The turkey was moist and flavorful. Didnt have any sides but will try them out next time which will be soon. I have no doubt they are fantastic. When you get to-go they take care of all the trimmings you ask for. Great customer service touch. We finally have a BBQ home in CP! See you guys soon!

One of the best bbq joints this side of town. You dont have to play the 2-hr line game, or the serve till we run out game. No frills. Great food. Dont forget to try their lamb chops. It will give you a new perspective in texas bbq. Always consistent and great tasting. Also, they are halal.

The brisket is great, very tender. I like it a bit more smoky but that is a personal preference. Alzers is a self serving restaurant, therefore the guests get plastic cutlery. Creating plastic trash is not my style but the meat is really delicious. It is a bit on the pricey side if you want to eat a lot. Of course, quality has its price.

This is the best BBQ I ve found yet. The beef ribs are amazing! OMG!! Brisket is so tender and juices. It hard to find good food (that s not fast food) in this area, so we re so happy we found them. This is my favorite brisket place in town, one of the very few halal options we have and exceptional food. We bulk ordered chicken and brisket from them for our Friendsgiving last year and it was a hit! The portions are generous and service is very kind and helpful. Today we ve stopped by for lunch from 40 minutes away and it was worth it! We got a pound of brisket and polished so quick we had to get 1/2 lb more, it was moist, tender and full of flavor. We also got the smokey sand which was delicious as well.

Ordered the lunch combo sliced brisket sandwich with baked beans. The brisket was good and moist but the bun wasnt toasted. The baked beans were way to sweet and were lukewarm. I took a coubites of the beans and tossed the rest. Ill be back to try the ribs and a different side soon. Food

Hands down the best bbq in Austin/ Cedar Park!!! For the meats, they re right up there with black s, terry blacks, or franklin bbq. When you add the sides and sauce to the mix, Alzer s definitely better by a mile compared to black s, terry black s, or franklin bbq. They have phenomenal service aswell! If anyone asks me for a bbq recommendation, Alzer s will be my top pick going forward!

I had the BBQ brisket sandwich, potato salad, greenbeans, sweet tea and the pecan cobbler. Everything was fantastic. The fan got me a little cold but other than that, I had a wonderful lunch! Ill be back!
