Came here for dinner tasting. We had the panang curry w/ tofu and they veganized the prik king dish for us. Flavour on both dishes very nice and not lacking at all. Alot of places have a hard time of making things flavorful without making dishes too salty. For here I didnt feel like my mouth was dry, thirsting for water hours later after I went home. Servers pretty nice. Only thing is I found a small hair inside my curry, but didnt make a big deal about it. A little gross but glad it didnt get in my mouth first. Bathroom pretty clean, and yes there is option for bar. Ambiance was pretty casual and lively which I enjoyed. Not gonna lie one of the best things here is the thai jasmine rice, very authentic, fluffy and soft rice. The portions are also very large, you can def have leftovers if you feel full. Decor pretty cute, hoping they could add more but thats just me. Overall minus tiny hair in food, being bit pricey and the fact they dont put any prices on their menus, it was a tasty couple of dishes. Im Vietnamese, really like Ong Jas next door, and having two good but different Asian restaurants next to each other is definately not a bad move. These some of the establishments I feel like are growing Pearland into a more fun and diverse city, full of different experiences.

The food here is amazing! I ordered the Atlantic salmon in the panang curry; I cannot express how happy my taste buds were! My kiddo ordered the fried rice with the roasted duck, and says it was phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend! Kid-friendliness: They have some items on a kid menu, but my child enjoys the regular menu items as well.

After reading the reviews online, I decided to try this spot. I ordered the Drunken noodles and Tom Yum soup needless to say I was very very very disappointed through DoorDash might I add which cost me $63 to deliver. The noodles were overcooked to the point of being mushy, eggs were burnt, the entire meal had no flavor because it was too dry and overcooked. Tom Yum soup horrible it had these huge ugly mushrooms like 15 of them but only had 2 shrimp and 3 chunks of tomatoes not spicy as requested.I am convinced that either these reviews are fake or people really do not know what good food taste like. I will never order from here again. A total waste of money!!!!

Very great service/atmosphere and even better food! Everything was flavorful and was the perfect amount of spiciness. We ordered level 3. If I remember correctly, they have either 4 or 5 levels of spice. If you wanted it to be spicer, they provide extra chili paste. Ordered moneybags (crab rangoons), firecracker shrimps, and Thaicoon rolls (eggroll) as appetizers. All had the perfect crisp and came with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Ordered yum woonsen (glass noodle salad) and chicken red curry as entrees. The curry had so much veggies! I was impressed, but the glass noodle salad was even more impressive!!! Definitely something I never thought I would order AND enjoy. The flavors were sweet, sour, and savory all in one go! Highly recommend if you want to try something different than the more common Thai dishes like pad Thai, pad see ew, drunken noodles, etc. I also got the Thai tea. It was like any other normal Thai tea. Nothing special. But I love how they offer a 10% discount to military, first responders, teachers, and medical field staffs! You just have to show proof/your badge! Overall, great experience. Would definitely come back and recommend to others. The entire wait staff were awesome too!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while driving yesterday and was craving Thai really badly and man am I so happy I did! The food was absolutely amazing and well made and presented. The atmosphere is so pretty with the wood work above your head and upbeat music playing. It has a bar as well for anyone wanting a nice place to get a drink and amazing food! I got the Thaicoon noodles with pork and my husband got the curry shrimp and we both really really enjoyed our meals. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, chefs cooked everything perfectly making for a great flow of the whole entire experience. Highly recommend and will be back

He is not only courteous, knowledgeable, and kind, but hes also a master drink maker! The food is top notch, full stop. The curry was bang amazing, and the pad C- ewe was absolutely wonderful. The kids devoured the chicken satay, and we were really impressed with how fast everything came out from the kitchen. This place, and Binh, are such a welcome addition to the area! Try this place, youll love it! So for the lemon drop, the chocolate cake shot, or the green tea shot! Kid-friendliness: Very easy going, and kids menu available

Im typically a Chinese food person so trying this Thai food was a change. the way the interior is set up, it gives off somewhat pricey food. So we were pleasantly surprised when we saw reasonably low prices. You get a lot for the price. -I ordered the Tom yum soup, it was enough to fill me up completely had I chose to eat it all. It had a great taste to it was well seasoned and a bit of spice. I love how it had little mushrooms. The noodle was tender and cook well. -The Kiki drink was different. You could taste hints of lemon maybe mint somewhat kiwi. It reminded me of a snowball, but it wasnt overly sweet. And it came in a cute mug. -Basil with shrimp was delicious. The green beans had a crisp crunch to it. The dish liquid would taste good over rice. My husband had the appetizer sampler. I wasnt a fan of the moneybags, it was too creamy cheesy for my taste. He raved about the spring rolls, the fish patties tasted more like a breakfast sausage. -Crying Tiger, thinky sliced filet mignon. I thought the meat was a little too chewy. I felt like I spent more time chewing just one piece of meat vs all the other food at the table. My husband didnt complain and ate all of it as it was what he ordered. Overall, I will be returning. Cant wait to try all new items next time

The money bags (crab Rangoon was instead a cream cheese Rangoon with no crab and this is the second time Ive ordered them and they had no crab. The Not Heo Thy is a pork dish with HARD, tough, and chewy pork that my spouse and I struggled to get through. The thigh was small but tasty and so was the soup. I have gone to ThaiCoon in Pearland twice since it opened. Both times, I was greeted promptly on entering the restaurant and seated right away. The wait staff was very attentive both times. The ambiance was a bit quiet for me, especially for being a small space but otherwise it was pleasant. I ordered the money bags both times which were delicious and a filling snack. I ordered the Thai Larb with Filet Mignon the first time. It was delicious. It s a simple dish but really hits the spot for me. The second time I ordered the Blooming Pad Thai with Shrimp. I was blown away by the presentation and the taste was amazing as well. I chose the highest possible spice level and it tasted great to me. Another thing that I liked was that they carried one of my favorite Japanese Whiskeys at the bar. Pricey at $30+ dollars a pour but tastes so good. I ll be back for sure, to try all the curries, pork belly and Tamarind Duck Thigh. Looking forward to being a returning customer.

This is the only Thai restaurant that Ive been to that the food was not as flavorful as I was expecting. The panang curry and thai fried rice was bland. Pad thai that was in an egg cocoon was a nice touch but the noodles were soggy and it was also bland. The only thing we enjoyed was the crying tiger and money bags. The atmosphere is nice for a date night but the booths could have better quality. Every time the customer from the next booth would sit back, it would push the back rest towards me and jerk me forward while eating. I wish they could improve some of the dishes and the booths. I like this restaurant to stay in business because its close to my house.

First, I ordered Thai Noodles online, there was no description of the dish so I figured it would be regular noodles. Nope. They are deep fried noodles with the worst batter you ve ever tasted. Flavorless. If you re going to deep fry your noodles, at least describe them as deep fried online. That s absolutely unacceptable and a complete waste of time and money. Second, the Pad C Ewe (actual spelling on the menu) was putrid and flavorless as well. Don t waste your time with this disgusting joint. One of the worst I ve ever tried in the Pearland area. Will never be back and will tell every Thai lover I know to not waste their money.

I ordered takeout, so I cannot give an in depth review of their dining service, but I did get immediate attention when I walked in. I had somebody come to me and helped me with the menu selections and answered some questions. Overall, the atmosphere of the place seems very attentive and lively. However, my biggest gripe with this restaurant unfortunately falls within the foods that Ive ordered. I ordered the Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Spicy Basil Fried Rice. One thing that is common between all of these foods is that there is hardly any meat, but a lot of carbs (rice and noodle). While at first glance, the portion does look generous, it quickly falls short when I realized Im practically just eating rice and noodles with pretty much complimentary few pieces of meat on the side. The Pad Thai noodles were pretty dry and I dreaded trying to finish what was practically just noodles and few pieces of dry chicken. It also doesnt taste like the Pad Thai I usually have at other restaurants, so it didnt meet my expectation. The red curry taste good, but it was seriously packed with bell peppers. I didnt like this because it meant the volume of the curry container was primarily stuffed with bell peppers. I had to take out all of the bell peppers just to get to the beef at the bottom of the container. Lastly, the Spicy Basil Fried Rice tasted pretty good but also lacks meat portions just like the other food. Im aware fried rice usually dont have that many meat, but this really just felt like I was just eating flavored rice. I dont want to discourage anyone from not giving this place a try, but I felt I should leave this review as a disclaimer for those who might possibly be concerned about the same thing and could be disappointed with the food.

I think I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant in Pearland! Dropped in for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food - absolutely flavorful! We tried Calamari, Blooming Pad Thai w Chicken, Fried Rice w Pork, Yellow Curry w Chicken, and Drunken Noodle Veg. All were great. Quantity - a LOT! One order is good for at least 2 meals unless youre a voracious eater. Especially the Blooming Pad Thai - I could do 2 ½ or 3 meals on that. Dessert - while they have a number of items with a Thai twist, we went for the crème brûlée. The presentation and taste was superb. This is a relatively new place. The interiors are clean and nicely decorated but quite the ordinary. They have an in-house bar too with many custom cocktails. Service was good; we were attended to regularly.

It s not normal for me to write a bad review. I ordered Crying Tiger - sliced filet mignon. Instead I was served thinly sliced brisket that is used for pho noodle soup. I brought it up to the staff s attention and they told us that the item we were served match the menu item. Attached is the picture from the menu and the item we were served today. I ll let you be the judge, but Thaicoon has lost a customer today.

Visited for the first time today. Ordered the drunken noodles, dumplins and veggie rolls. I m sorry but the food was not good at all! In fact, it was awful. The smell of the noodles almost made me sick and when I tasted it my first thought was that the noodles tasted and smelled like chittlings. The dumplins were not good for me either. I m probably going to find a homeless person to give the food to.

The food is delicious. Menu is rich and they are very accommodating. They would prepare some dinner items not available for lunch for lunch. Parking: There is not much to say. It is a strip mall and there is plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: They have all it takes for a person in a wheelchair to have access to the restaurant.

Food is very delicious with good serving amount. Cocktails are also tasty. Their Thai cocktail had a hint of whisky. They have a sampler of their appetizer ehich is a good idea if youre having a hard time choosing. pineapple rice is more on meat and veggies which is a plus. The Curry is creamy, you can choose the level of spicyness, otherwise you can request chilies on the side. The barbeque has a smokey flavor and very tender. no issues with waiting time

Literally everything we ordered was tasty, which is not easy to accomplish for most restaurants. You know it s authentic when the menu consider laotian style papaya salad and thai style papaya salad. I ve been seeking a good laotian style one for a while .flavor for this one is pretty on point. The drink menu is well crafted, however didn t love my margarita, but liked my friend s gin-based drink. I would still give the drinks another try though.

Very disappointed I was looking forward to enjoying this food, but I was totally turned off by the mishandling of the preparation of the food I received and even more turned off by the customer service and the audacity!

Weve visited twice in the past month, and each time we really enjoyed our meals. On our first visit, we decided to go with the Thaicoon Sampler, so we could try a mix of the appetizers. All were very good, with the Thaicoon Rolls and Dumplings being our favorite. For our main dish, my wife and I shared the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) with a spicy level of 3 (out of 5). Man this dish was amazing and the spice was just about right. With the appetizer, it was plenty to share the entree and we even had enough for a take home meal. For our second visit we went again with the Thaicoon Rolls, but this time we shared the Pad Prik King (Thai Red Curry) with a spicy level of 3, and once again the dish was wonderful. Plenty of food to share, and everything seemed freshly made. Service during the first visit was very good and the staff was very attentive. On our second visit they were a bit more busy, so service could have been better, but was still good. If youre in the area I would highly recommend stopping in for some tasty Thai cuisine. We certainly plan to come back to try more dishes.

Glad to have this new Thai restaurant in Pearland! We shared the vegetarian fried rice with tofu and Panang tofu curry. The fried rice had a good assortment of vegetables and decent flavoring. We will order it again. Our Panang tofu curry also came with a good amount of vegetables. I found the curry a little bit too sweet, but my spouse liked it just fine. We both appreciated that the curry sauce was a full thick sauce and not water thin. We will be back! Vegetarian options: Vegetarians should order the vegetarian fried rice or a curry with tofu.

Couldnt try the food because we were blatantly ignored for over 10 minutes. Awful service. An old lady stood around ignoring us and a young girl was trying to do everything alone while the bar tender disappeared in the back for over 5 minutes, then came out and also ignored us. Thankfully another Thai restaurant nearby was much more accomodating.

Thaicoon, Pearland location: The menu was quite interesting with many unique options than a typical Thai restaurant. Trying for the very first time ever, we ordered Thai Larb with Chicken (Its a salad) and Thaicoon Bangin Noodle with Chicken. Plus, the Red Curry and Spicy Basil Fried Rice both with Tofu and Vegetables. The Spicy Basil Fried Rice was good. Thai Larb: The lime dressing was too strong for me. It was indicative of the fact that it was freshly made. However, it wasnt quite balanced out. Inspite of the strong acidic dressing the chicken was still dry and on the chewier side. If the chicken had macerated a bit in the dressing, maybe it would have helped I think. Bangin Noodles: The crispy noodles were humumous, could have been broken down by half its size. If it had been half the size maybe it would have soaked little bit of the sauteed veggies on top. There was no knife provided to cut the noodles. The veggies on top of the noodles very perfectly cooked still with the right crunch to it. The crispy noodles reminded the Indian rice flour fritters had with rice. Though red curries generally have a sweetness, this was more sweet than usual (we chose medium for spice level). The portion size was huge. The service was very good and fast, which was expected on a Tuesday evening.

I was excited about trying this place and have heard good things about this restaurant from a friend. Finally got to try it and was so disappointed. I got the pad see ew, calamari, firecracker shrimp, crab fried rice, and shrimp papaya salad. The chicken in pad see ew was SO dry and had no flavor. Calamari was chewy. Shrimp papaya salad was too sweet. Didn t even bother trying the crab fried rice. The only thing I liked was the firecracker shrimp. Will not be back.

Honest review: The Shrimp Firecracker dish stood out with its fresh shrimp that were full of flavor. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. Filet Mignon Fried Rice, I was thoroughly impressed by the balanced combination of tender meat and delectable fried rice. The ratio of meat to rice was just right, making every bite a mouthwatering delight. Pad Kee Mao - I opted for spice level 3 and found it to be perfectly enjoyable. The spice added a pleasant kick without overwhelming the dish. Thaicoon has truly mastered the art of creating delicious Thai cuisine. I recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Only downfall is the super slow check ins from the waitstaff. And the water had a funny taste.

I don t believe this restaurant is authentic. They may have Thai dishes but taste-wise, it s the worst Thai restaurant I ve ever been to. The spicy was not spicy at all, food was sweeter than it should be, and the noodles were way too greasy. For the price, it is way too expensive for what it is. I am giving it two stars for the customer service.

The service was great and the flavors of the food were good, but the execution and quality left something to be desired. A few examples: (1) We got the fried pigs ear pad Thai appetizer, which was described as crispy pig ear on the menu. It was very chewy and very few pieces were crispy. (2) We ordered the red curry and the flavor was great, but it basically had raw vegetables, including raw green beans, and the pork was very overcooked. (3) The Boat Noodles-not very warm for a soup dish and the vegetables (greens) were extremely undercooked-basically not edible. They should really Blanche their veggies before adding to any dishes. We got the moneybag appetizer which was good. it was pretty pricey for the quantity / quality (basically crab Rangoons). We may go there again in the future to see if food quality has improved, given it is new, but very poor first impression of food itself.

He even then brought me more chili flakes when I said it could be a little hotter. I will definitely make this my new spot.
