Roast beef to hard almost like chewing extra just to eat it. Jalapeño corn bread nasty. The waitress didnt clean up plates for a long time didnt offer refills until she went by and I had to ask for refill and plates taken away. The cashier asked if I was going to get cash to tip waitress. Also she charged me 5 Jalapeño when I grabbed 2. Charged me extra plate of food as well. It me and wife only. Four sides each. Paid 58 dollars for 2 people and Roast beef was raw. I didnt have time to complain I was hungry and didnt want to argue. I still tipped the waitress just to lay her know that she cant judged a person who doesnt get cash maybe Im paying with a card because I only have cash for the tip. I gave her 10 bucks but she deserved 1. I had 20 thats what I tip all the time but she looked at us like if we were beggers.

Evrey thing was good here im 12 and under and it was a Saturday so i ate free with my parents it happens on Wednesday and Saturdays, not on Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday and Sundays it will not happen Kid-friendliness: Im a kid 12 and under im 10 and its very nice and also the service is very friendly and super nice also therebis kid friendly food there is spaghetti mac n cheese chicken tenders jelly corn and other stuff its super kids friendly

Me and my wife have never been to a Lubys restaurant before. This is our first experience. The service was great. The food was really good. The atmosphere was really good. I m definitely coming back. I got the roast beef, but I guess it was a bad day for roast beef because it was like chewing rubber bands, it was very rubbery and I couldn t really get my moneys worth for that dish. Maria, my server took charge and went and talked to the assistant manager and they told us that there was nothing they could do. Then I went up and talked to the head manager Charles and told him what happened and gave him the opportunity to either do something or not to do something. And I told him about the beef being not really edible. He took charge and gave us a free dish and even a free side well it wasn t really free because we already paid for the beef brisket which didn t turn out good but he did take charge and made it right so we re definitely coming back. That s what food service is all about making sure everyone s happy and the food is what Lubys is expecting to be served. Thank you kindly everyone I appreciate you me and my wife will be back.

This place seems to have a following among the older/retired crowd. I went here wanting to tap into some childhood nostalgia.... its not like I remembered AT ALL. It was pretty sub-par, even for cafeteria food. We all ended up picking over food.Our waitress noted, Yall are going to go home hungry. (Spoiler alert) we did. If youre looking for the cafeteria feel AND good food I suggest Cleburnes

Soon as I walked in it smelled bad, I m not sure what it smelled like but it wasn t pleasant at all, I got to the counter to order and 3 different people kept walking past me and none of then greeted me or said someone will be right with you when I was greeted I asked for baked chicken and she grabbed the chicken fried steak and slid my order down, I patiently waited for the next employee to take my side orders so I could tell her what happened, I m not sure if English isn t her first language or if I was too soft spoken but she couldn t understand that I was given the wrong kind of chicken and I was asking for them to fix it, the previous employee told her what happened and I was rushed off, I get to the cashier and I look at her and say hello how are you but she s too busy talking to a coworker about some work gossip, I take my receipt and leave and I won t be back again

Our server didnt care to be there. She was more helpful with us leaving than us being there. So disappointing. Food is delicious and servers at the lunch line enjoy there jobs. Kind and helpful. I had this lubys at 5 stars, but sadly have to knock it back. The older white woman working the far corner by the restrooms said thanks for your business while shaking her head. We didnt leave a tip because we had to place our own to go order and we wanted to order more food. She spoke too softly and carelessly the one and only time she checked on us. Take care of your customers, customers take care of you. Why would I leave money on the table, which I had, for someone who doesnt care about their job?

Havent been to Lubys in years. But was pleasently surprised at the quality of the food. Went with family and we were all able to get dishes we liked. Had Salmon perfectly cooked. 1 single bite where the lemon pepper seasoning was a bit too thick and therefore strong. But otherwise exquiste flavor and quality. Good portion sizes. Tea. Jalapeno Corn bread, side corn and Mash potatoes all solid. Will happily go again. And would recommend. Esp for larger sized gatherings Kid-friendliness: Actually went because my 13 year old Niece wanted to go there. Worried at first but quite happy after the experience.

Food was fantastic, fresh grilled chicken. All the food smelled freshly cooked and was good. The server only came by at the beginning to get our ticket then did not come back by. I tried to flag her down at least 4 times, and finally I got up and refilled our drinks by the cash register, twice. Cleanliness was okay, some tables sat for over 20 minutes waiting to be bussed while staff sat on the phones or talking by the bar area. Bathroom we as expected clean but needling some attention ( sink area and trash cans). This Lubys has always had great food and service. Maybe next time well see better staff working.

My boyfriend and I had lunch there today. It is Mother s Day and it was very crowded and we waited about 30 minutes that wasn t a problem. We both had baked chicken which was delicious, but it came with dressing. The dressing was just awful.! couldn t eat mine. It was so bad. The vegetables were delicious as well as the Mexican cornbread. I ordered banana pudding and I ve never had banana pudding with no bananas in it. The pudding was instant banana cream, which wasn t very good if they had just used homemade vanilla cream pudding, and added some sliced bananas, it would ve been so much better. I won t order that again all in all a good experience and we will continue to go there.

Today I was followed by a man after leaving Lubys. Once I got my food, I told a waitress (Ms. Maria) what happened. I asked her to watch me walk to my car so I made it safely. Horrible. They gave my elderly family member an attitude when she asked for help carrying her tray to the table then walked right past her to help someone else. My chicken was so cold I could have sworn that it was just pulled from the freezer and the gray was just as cold. I sat for an hour waiting on someone to give me the replacement they offered me, it never came.

Ordered food twice with Uber Eats. Both times, the order was canceled because the resturants internet service went down, and they were cash only. My elderly mother wanted to go here for her birthday this evening and man was it disappointing. I got a chopped steak with the gravy and when they handed it to me the way they did it went all over my hand. The chopped steak was cold and hard in places, obviously old and had been sitting all day. My niece had the chicken tenders and those wore almost inedible.
