Came here for a surprise dinner with some friends, I m from Michigan and wanted to have a taste of the south. I was So impressed with Babes!! They have a very limited menu but you can just have everything at the table family style and it worked out great!! My server was Abby, we went on Wednesday right when they opened and she was ready to go, very personable and very new at being a server but I wouldn t be able to tell if she hadn t told me it was only her third day!! Keep it up I know you ll get better, great service food and vibes from Babes in Frisco!! Ps keep crankin 90 s

The food here never disappoints. We took our friends who are new to Texas to indoctrinate them into the Babes culture, the way of life. Wait was short surprisingly and the staff was excellent. I recently had the pleasure of working with Ms. Erin Reynolds at Babes Chicken for my wedding day catering service, and I couldnt be happier with the overall experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests have been non-stop raving about the fried chicken and homestyle sides. The staff was also very professional and courteous and ensured everything ran smoothly. And the entire process, from initial planning to the big day, was stress-free and effortless. First time visit here. Great experience! I m on the fence with the pricing of the meals. They provide plastic bags for your to go meats only, can t take the sides because it s all you can eat. Portions are not generous on the meats hence on the fence on pricing. Too dim inside, lights are not sufficient to enjoy your company or food. The sides were delicious and the fried & grilled chicken were juicy. The catfish was awesome. Give this place a try, it seems pretty popular by the crowds it attracts daily.

I went for the first time to this place because I had been told it was good. The food was very good but when you are a party of 2 and they give you so much food you would expect to be able to take it home after all the bill is $50. They don t have any to go containers so you are told to take in a bag. How do you put cream gravy and creamed corn in a BAG. That is ridiculous. The manager says: it is to cut cost. Really! The waitress was a hit sassy as well. Though the food was very good the place needs to get with the times. Guess you have to take your own containers if you want to take leftovers home.

We ve been visiting Babes for years, and Frisco is one of our favorite locations! Anymore it can be a bit hard to find if you don t follow the GPS exactly, so don t miss a turn lol The things we love about Babes start as soon as we get out of the car and smell the chicken in the air. The outside of each restaurant is unique, rustic, and eclectic with plenty of small details to keep you entertained when you have to wait. We try to go at opening or during non- peak hours to avoid a wait because we often have older and/or younger relatives who either don t like waiting or waiting is hard. But they do a good job of keeping waiting customers comfortable, or as much as they can in the summer in Texas. The patios have fans, ice water in coolers, and lots of shaded seating. They also have outside bathroom access, with renovated and clean bathrooms, which is nice. Once inside, there are chickens everywhere along with cute and clever signage, and a large dining room. The server will take your drink order, bring out your drinks, and then family style salad and hot fresh biscuits. The salad is ice berg with a homemade dressing that is sweet and tangy, and delicious. The biscuits are hot, fresh, and hearty. They provide butter, honey, and molasses on the table. So butter and honey on my biscuits is my go to. My husband prefers the salad but likes the biscuits. I don t understand this. Biscuits are always better than salad lol no matter how good the salad is! I took a vote and the rest of my extended family agrees with me, so I ll take the win. They have 5 meat options, no menu. You have the choice of fried chicken, chicken tenders, smoked chicken, fried catfish, or chicken fried steak. In the interest of settling a family debate, fried chicken is the most popular entree across Babes restaurants followed by chicken tenders. Most of us order the fried chicken, we did have a couple of chicken tenders and a chicken fried steak or two in the past. Friend chicken and chicken tenders are served family style, on the same plate. Fried chicken comes with a half chicken (leg, wing, thigh, breast) per person. The chicken fried steak is huge, and the chicken tenders are plentiful. The fried chicken is delicious. The crispy is crispy, the chicken is tender, put some honey on it and it s even better. They do offer ketchup or hot sauce, but you won t need it! Sides are also served family style, mashed potato s and gravy, creamed corn, and country style green beans. I could eat a whole bowl of creamed corn myself, and the gravy is awesome! Overall, the whole meal is delicious and there s just tons of food. They provide bags if you need to take the chicken home, which we always do. The service is exceptional. They keep a fun and lively atmosphere with music to sing along with and an occasional al rendition of the hokey pokey where all the employees perform it in the middle of the store. Kids and adults are free to join as well :) We really enjoy going for a birthday and watching them bring out the chicken hat for the birthday person. You can t go wrong with Babes and this particular location provides a delightful experience.

Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had. Went with 12 people and still service was fast and super friendly. Portions were massive and we had tons to take home. Funny part is they give you little plastic bags to take the leftovers home. Just a heads up they don t have alcohol if that matters to you. The price was also very reasonable for what you get.

Its LOUD. Lots of families seated very close together. The line dance was fun but there wasnt enough room to turn chair so I could watch. The very young hostess seated 4 Sr citizens all who have trouble walking at the furthest section from the entrance but at least she walked pretty slowly. Food is served family style, all the meats on one platter, a bowl each of mashed potatoes, gravy (partly cream partly brown! But yasty), creamed corn and green beans. The 2 gentlemen in our group hogged the green beans so I cant comment on them. Chicken fried steak was 1 of the best quality I have ever had, only 1 tiny bit of gristle. Chicken tenders looked to have tempura type batter, fried chicken was 5 pieces-2 very large, and friends catfish met the selective tastes of our fellow diner. BUT! save room for chocolate or coconut PIE; cherry cobbler, or banana pudding! Chocolate pie was to die for-- very thin crust, warm, with a beautiful meringue top. Oh my yum! Vegetarian options: Not really for you, unless youre willing to eat fried fish Parking: A bit difficult to Get to restaurant. And once parked its a rather long walk to the door. Excellent service, food, and my out of state visitors loved it. Only criticism was the poor management of seating people. The restaurant had at least half the place empty, but made at least 20 people stand and wait to be seated while they waited for wait-staff to arrive...what a horrible idea. I hostessed for several years and that almost always guarantees people walk out after a while...which is exactly what happened. If I didnt have my company along, I would have walked out and gone elsewhere. Poor management.

I ve been eating at Babe s since it s been around. Used to drive to the Garland location before Frisco opened. I am a big fan of home cooking type restaurants. However, Babes has priced me out. Not just the price, the portion sizes of the proteins have significantly decreased in the chicken fried steak and the chicken tenders are tiny. Can t blame this all on inflation. You don t increase price and give less, and expect customers not to notice and still maintain loyalty.

Wasnt impressed. Remembered it differently/better from when we lived there. Food was good per usual. Service was ok . Management was kinda rude . I think dinner options are slightly slim pickings. But who am I ? But 8 for one piece of fish or chicken for the child s meal is outrageous

I had not been to Babes for 8 years, and it did not dissapoint. You just tell them how you want your chicken, and they bring out the homestyle sides. Corn, green beans, mashed taters, gravy and biscuits. Delicious. There was a bit of a wait, and it was loud inside, but great food at a good price

Babes Chicken Dinner House is a fun family-style restaurant with rustic decor and plenty of down home charm. You pick your protein, whether a half chicken fried, chicken fingers, chicken fried steak, or fried catfish (all of which are excellent), and they bring side dishes for the table until youve had enough. The sides are salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, and biscuits, and all of them are quite good. Dessert options include cherry cobbler, banana pudding, and a few pies. The cobbler was delicious.

Visiting from Canada and my first time here, Liv our server was truly amazing and made the experience so lovely and smooth. She is honestly one of my favorite servers I ve ever had, she was so effortless and quick. The food was great, loved the smoked chicken, the corn and the green beans. Service is fast and atmosphere is very lively. It is a little too dark in there though

Liv was my server and she did amazing. We came in a party of 14 and she was so kind and brought out everything right away. She kept checking on us and making sure we had everything. She even brought me a refill on my drink and was so fast I didn t even notice she came and left it on the table for me. I m from Canada and never eaten here before and she explained everything perfectly. The food was amazing but never forgetting Liv s hospitality. She deserves a well good raise!!!!!

Visting Frisco for a high school powerlifting meet. Long wait (was told 25 minute wait, we waited an hour, which should have been a sign to leave) no menu, mediocre food (quality does not meet the price we paid) and atmosphere was way too loud to enjoy as a family. They do not serve individual meals, family style only. It was our first time there, and will be our last. The outdoor waiting area pictured below. Busy, so maybe it just wasnt our cup of tea. Also hostess said they were understaffed and werent prepared for a Spring break crowd. (Most patrons were not from the area either.)
