First time at this place. Air conditioner on fritz. Hot in the restaurant. Ordered the chicken fried steak, Fries, green beans and came with toast. Everything was good but the cfs. If you like the taste of fishy fried fish in the form of cfs this is for you. The texture was good, it was definitely chicken fried. Gravy wasnt from scratch, definitely instant . Biggest problem was it was all you can eat catfish day. I should have just had that, because that is what my chicken fried steak tasted like. Strong fish taste. Yuk. Ill probably come back another day to try the burgers. They are supposed to be good.

Server Kaylee charged me for a large soda, I only received a 10oz glass, she stated the boss was in the facility today so she couldnt change the price. I come to this place weekly, this was an unpleasant and unprofessional experience today. Kaylee steals when the boss is away. She should be fired for theft and she should not received any tips from parons in the future, please always check your receipt after each meal.

I absolutely LOVE the catfish here. I get it every Friday. Its my one cheat meal a week and I never get tired it. Its not a big place, but even when its busy the service is still great. I have never had an issue with any of the staff there, and our waitresses are always wonderful. They also have the best waffles I have ever eaten. Its a cozy place to enjoy a nice, hot meal. Parking: The parking lot is a little wonky, and it fills up fast. Theres a dirt area outside of the parking lot that people also park at when needed.

I ordered 13.99 fish basket and asked for onion rings versus fries there will be an up charge but my friend who is white asked the very same & she received onion rings, no up charge. My order should have come with hush puppies- ask me if I got them even after informing the waitress who was slow and made too many trips. I keep trying to give this place a chance after multiple bad experiences and I done with it. It took 45 minutes to get my food and when it came out it was cold. I watched people come in after me, eat and leave before I got my burger which was cold and dry, fries also cold. Waitress also had an attitude. I miss Kaylee g, she was awesome

We had a shrimp dinner and hamburger. The shrimp looked and tasted like those flat ones out of the freezer section of Walmart or Dollar General. We were told the fries were awesome. They must have meant Awful. Crinkle fries again straight from a frozen section of the grocery. Service was wonderful but education to the servers on quality and type of food should be better. Waitress was asked if fried fish was thick or thin and she said thick which caused me not to order. Another waitress said they were thin. Stories not straight. Anyway will not be coming back.

Tried Kizers Grill this afternoon and it was amazing! Ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. Perfect, green beans with lots of bacon and seasonings, potatoes fluffy, great consistency with the gravy, and the chicken fried steak was literally fork tender and hand cut and battered and HUGE, had to get a to go box!!! Im an Oklahoma native and chicken fried steak is our State Food, and this was the best Ive had since I left Oklahoma. Our server was Jenna, such a sweetheart and very informative and never let my tea get low. Considering Im a retired diner owner and chef Im very picky and it gets a 10! Go try them out!

Waitress was super friendly. Took good care of us. We ordered the all you can eat catfish. It came with fries, hush puppies, Cole slaw. Hush puppies were the best Ive had in a long time. Waste of money!! Large portions, however when this describes them : Greasy, overcooked, poor quality and loaded with salt, are pretty good reasons why to go somewhere else! The term ( dive ) comes to mind. Restaurant isnt very clean and service is disorganized, somewhat rude and you have to ask for things that are supposed be part of your meal. Bad food like this is easily found at many drive through restaurants and at a lesser cost.

Every thing I have tried at Kizers Grill has been fantastic and delicious. They are super friendly and quick. The sweet tea is also VERY delicious! (Please, if you re reading this, read it all) Took the family to Kizer s Grill tonight. Service was slow. They only had TWO wait staff working! One of them was apparently also working double duty as hostess/waitress. When we arrived, the two folks that beat us to the door got attended to & sat fairly quickly while we had to wait a while (about 10-15 minutes). It was just after 6pm & we had called on our way only to be told they closed at 7pm on the particular night. After they seated the two people in front of us, we waited as more people showed up. We were beginning to think they weren t coming back & our 18 month old was getting restless & we were all VERY hungry. Well, the hostess finally returned. She acknowledged that we were there first & had been waiting a bit, so she got us seated immediately. It took a little time for her to return as our waitress, but she took our drink orders & food orders immediately. We ordered the chicken fried steak for me, a kids cheese burger for our 5yo, & ma & baby we re going to split the 5 piece catfish meal. We could hear the kitchen calling out orders & trying to rush them out to tables & prepping to-go orders. We figured it might take some time for us to get ours. All the while, people kept flooding in the door. My side salad showed up with extra crackers for the kiddos to munch on. It was simple, but good...the baby even ate as much as we would offer. My chicken fried & son s burger came out next. Just prior to that we could hear someone barking orders to drop the catfish at the same time so it would be done right. Well, the catfish showed up moments later. All of it was piping hot! AND it was all good! However, the mashed potatoes were just a bit too peppered. BUT, that s it. That is my only kinda complaint. Did we still eat the mashed potatoes & take home the left overs? YEAH we did! The kids burger was great! His fries were like fresh cut potato fry awesome! The burger was delicious (I stole a bite or two). My chicken fried was pretty good, but the star of the show was the catfish. I m not a huge catfish guy & my wife had just had catfish last year at a place in Buffalo Gap. Their catfish was absolutely the best cat I ve ever had. So, the bar was set pretty high. She had tried it a few other times & was disappointed. Here is the catch: They were were understaffed because everything was shut down for Snowpocalypse 2021. They were one of very few restaurants actually open when the roads became somewhat drivable & while others had to be shut down because of the boil water restrictions placed inside of Tyler. Yet, they showed up, did their best to accommodate a continuous onslaught of hungry patrons, & they did it well! The fact that they were in the weeds & still took the time to make sure they were sending out their best dishes speakers volumes. Yeah, we had to wait for a table. Yeah, the catfish showed up later than our other orders, but hearing the kitchen being told to wait & make sure all of the fish went in & cooked properly paid dividends. I was full from my large CFS, but I continued to eat the catfish, because it was THAT good. I even went to thank the kitchen & applauded their work. Kudos, Kizer s! Y all went above & beyond today!

I tend to be very wary when Facebook suggests something for me. But this time Facebooks algorithm hit it out of the park!! My husband and I LOVE a good hole-in-wall restaurant, Kizers fits that bill to a T. There was no blaring music. Plus. The atmosphere was family casual. Plus What we ordered...PLUS PLUS! Hubby got the 1/3 lb burger and the meat patty was bigger than the bun! I joked with him about having to use a knife and fork to eat his burger. He looked me square in the eye and said that he never has and he never will disrespect burger and its cook by using utensils to eat it. LOL! So we got a 2 inch stack of napkins. I ordered the chicken fried steak, sweet potato fries, and the vegetable medley. The steak yall... the...steak... I had to take a pause in gratitude. The breading was just right, you never bit into a big ol of batter. The meat was so tender you didnt need the knife they gave you with it! That vegetable medley was not just treated like an afterthought. Someone loved on those vegetables. Someone took their time on those vegetables. Lawdhavmercy! I asked our server how long had the restaurant been opened. Her reply was only a few months So I need yall to touch and agree with me now, in the mighty name of good food. We will NOT let this place fall by the wayside! They now serve breakfast, yall!! Get here as soon as you can and come back often...you might see me there. Ill be the one that they have to carry out in a wheelbarrow!

I got the chicken fried steak with mashed pot and onion rings and omg it was HUGE !!! ( and only 10$ ) Im always going for the chicken fried steak and mashed pot so Ive had quite a few for comparison and this one rates in the top 3 for sure ! My son had a kids chicken tender with fries and it was just as impressive. Portions are outta this world and service ( Bailey i believe) was friendly , timely, accurate and very personable. Would deff recommend trying this place out . you wont regret it !

I enjoy the restaurant. The food is really good and the serve was friendly. Just one thing. Why do restaurants feel they need a TV? (With the exception of a sports theme restaurant.) I dont care what is playing on the TV. I can watch TV and the News at home. I dont come to a restaurant to watch TV. Please get rid of the TVs.

Very good food and excellent service. I had the grilled chicken breast with the peppercorn sauce, it was great. My wife had the 12 oz. Ribeye and loved it.
