I searched all over Houston and surrounding cities to find the best home for my dad, who suffers from Alzheimer s. When I called The Auberge, I spoke to the kindest, caring and most helpful person! His name is Scott and located at the Sugar Land facility. This has been one of the most stressful events that my family has faced! When I met the full staff , I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone I met was equally helpful with this transition! I would highly recommend The Auberge at Sugar Land to families needing peace of mind for their loved ones

The majority of the caregivers are wonderful, caring people. Unfortunately, the Auberge does not hire nearly enough of these caregivers, so the place is woefully understaffed. The front office experiences very high turnover and is another case entirely. When signing the initial contract upon move-in, they neglect to point out the predatory pricing practices family members are forced to agree to. Signing this contract occurs at a time of great duress for family members, and the Auberge capitalizes on family members weakness. When providing the required 14-day notice of moving out, I would advise everyone to beware of the minute details you must adhere to in order to comply with their specific move-out notification. If you can manage any sort of refund for unused days (due to your loved one moving out for any reason, even death), be prepared to wait weeks to receive it. In our case, it took 80 days to receive our refund, even though their contract states that any refunds will be received within 30 days of move-out. Further, in addition to the required 14-day notice (up to 30 days in some instances), be aware that the Auberge also charges for caregiving even on days when your loved one is in the hospital and clearly not receiving care at Auberge. Make no mistake, The Auberge cares far more about your money than your loved one. Of course, in an industry where customer loyalty and retention are irrelevant, I guess I shouldn t be surprised.

This community is very clean, nice, and has such a comfortable feel about it. It s a great place for a resident that has higher level of care that can age in place gracefully. I had the opportunity to meet Scott the Director of Sales and Marketing and he s very sweet, very knowledgeable about the community, and you can tell he cares about his residents!!

In the fourteen months that my wife was a resident of Auberge, there were four complete changes in the front office management and Executive Director, she was left unattended in soiled diapers numerous times, often having unexplained/unreported bruising on hands and legs, faxes of doctor s orders being neglected for days, being required to hire a private Caregiver due to her falling and ER visits, my Caregiver being banned from Auberge three hours before her shift with no explanation or warning, my wife eloping from the facility at night for an unknown length of time and an unkept foot bandages that result in tripping hazards, and so much more .I had enough!! I moved my wife to another facility. I DO NOT recommend Auberge!!

The Auberge is by far the nicest facility I have been to as far as looks, safety, accommodations and hygiene go. Many facilities I have visited either have a memory care unit that is low activity and in general depressing. I think the current staff has done an excellent job on creating and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and their families!

I love the Auberge communities, where EVERYONE has the same amenities they have a SPARK brand. Getting everyone engaged in everyday activities for life long learning and using procedural memory. Fabulous program. You know what makes this specific community spectacular? April & Raquel!! What a great team! Thank you for bringing passion to everyone there.

The Auberge at Sugar Land is a wonderful facility! The staff is well trained in caring for those with Alzheimer s, and they know how to redirect instantly. Every time I am out there, the facility is being cleaned. There are daily activities for the residents, and the staff knows how to get everyone involved in these activities. Their staff is superb! They are currently caring for my husband, and I can rest better at night knowing he is well cared for.

The Auberge has been home to my Mother since September 2018. I have been extremely happy with their care since day one. Their caregivers are the most well trained in Alzheimer s and so loving and compassionate. My mother is combative at times and they do not over-medicate to control their residents. Instead they divert and distract, so as to avert the angry behavior, a key technique in dealing with Alzheimer s patients. It is an extremely clean facility and always cheerful and full of activities. The whole staff has been there for a very long time and know the residents firsthand for many years. It is definitely a happy place for Mom! The best alternative to being home. And the best caregiving decision I ever made! Highly recommend Auberge at SugarLand.

My Father In Law stayed here for the last four months of his life, and we are SO thankful for EVERYONE at Auberge for their care and love they showed him. This is by far the BEST place for a loved one with memory issues. Auberge is not a facility, it is a FAMILY that cares. Thank you for all you do.

The Auberge team took care of my husband for two years. The care and compassion shown to both of us was outstanding and so appreciated. Loving caregivers and concerned senior staff made a very hard journey much easier for both of us. They were always willing to talk to me about any concern.
