The drinks were shitty for the price. The food was over cooked. The waitress barely came over. Wont mention her name and the bartender and all staff for that matter were very rude. Not so sure the bartender this evening wasnt drinking the profits up instead of putting the liquor in the drinks.

Reserved the private room for a group lunch. It was perfect! Thank you, Noah, for planning this for us. Our server, Oliver, was the best! He kept our drinks refreshed, food was served promptly, and anything anyone wanted seemed to just appear! Awesome job, Oliver! Large restaurant, few patrons for dinner, hmmm. Food was average/typical Texmex, not Mexican. Service was average, except I was taken aback when the patrons seated after us, their order was take first. Prices are above average by about 25%. You will be charged 3.5% service charge to use a credit card. I will eat elsewhere when visiting Tyler.

This is our family favorite place to eat on Friday or Saturday evenings. When we spend so much of our week rushing around, its nice to take a step back and unwind. My daughter, who is picky about her enchiladas, loves their cheese with queso on top and no onions. Everything weve had here is excellent.

Wife and I dined at the bar with Cheryl as our server/bartender. She was incredibly busy and we still got some of the best service I ve ever had. Wife enjoyed her margaritas, my sweet tea was great. The chips wrrr fresh and warm and our food was really good and hot! No complaints

Horrible all around!! They had some dude in there trying to sing and play music but was really bad. I had a strange feeling walking in and seeing the staff all pissed off for some reason and only one person to cover the whole bar. Im an retired cheff and was passing thru Tyler Tx. Stoped in the worst so called mexican resturant Mannys I actually thought it was the same as the Infamous Mannys in Dallas. Boy was I mistaken! Manny the Nigerian owner/ Mgr Past the problem to Joesph..Yet another owner! Horrible food, chips were stale, cold Guacamole had blk spots, no flavor! As if some one got an avocado and mashed it on a plate that it was served on. Hot sauce tasted like old tomatoe sauce ,AGAIN NO FLAVOR!! A taco plate with rice and beans $9.95 Was like a childs plate. Thank goodness my mother is an elderly person and doesnt eat that much, because she usually takes home left overs. Most mexican resturants nowadays are owned by ppl other than Hispanics or Mexicans. However the cooks are ALL Hispanics and or Mexicans..and their trade has followed them to great reviews. I will continue my grievance with Yelp and other Webb sites. Those ppl have no business to be in business!!!! Manny or Joseph!!@ However Dylan thd waiter was very attentive and friendly.

Was with a large group to see the Tuxedo Kats play, band was awesome as usual. Was going to order shrimp.fajitas, but others complained shrimp were small, mushy and not gulf shrimp. Ordered chicken fajitas instead. They were good, but took an hour to get them. Margaritas were good, but we got up.to dance, came back and our drinks which were nearly full were bussed away! Did get 2 smaller ones for free, but error.on the staffs part. Salsa also had an off taste.

Where s the meat??? And our waitress? Our first time to patronize Manny s. Patio atmosphere was nice. Band was great! My husband and I ordered two drinks and an order of shrimp and beef fajitas with veggies. (Doing keto so no beans/rice) the veggies were perfectly cooked and seasoned. What meat there was was tasty but MY GOODNESS, at 25.00 for this entree, you d think they d be more generous with the meat! Geeez! 5 measly and tiny quarter-sized shrimp and maybe 3? 4? strips of beef 1 x 3 at best wow! The service was awful. Our waitress was apathetic, disinterested in serving. Our drink order (when she finally showed up) took a long time. Literally had to go find her to get some water for us. She eventually comes back with one water saying I could only get one but I think my manager will be bringing the other . Huh??? What? Having a water shortage? All out of cups? Do tell .manager never brought our second water In a nutshell: Great atmosphere/music Waitress-indifferent, unfriendly, slow! Tasty food but SO stingy with the meat! Excluding tip (which I didn t want to leave) our tab was 45.00, one entree two drinks left hungry and frustrated! We won t be coming back .

We used to love this place! But since they moved there, the food is just mediocre. Was there on Monday 4-22 & the salsa was horrendous! I started to tell our waitress and before I could get started she said it s the salsa. And I said yes. After talking to a friend of mine that went there the previous day, without me saying anything she said I like the salsa there & it tasted rotten. That was the same complaint I had! Because they knew there was a problem with the salsa and chose to do nothing about it, makes you wonder what else is going on. Won t be back!!

Food is good, service is another issue entirely. Waiting 10-15 minuets to be greeted while multiple servers walk by, making eye contact, yet not acknowledging guests, and witnessing the bartender literally RUNNING to take care of the entire restaurant. I dont understand how the back half of the restaurant can be the only area with clean tables and have one server for all of it with 4-5 other servers standing around doing nothing. The bar tender needs a raise and the rest of the staff need to be evaluated and probably replaced with waiters who help their team and boss instead of sitting down to talk and roll silverware while 15 tables sit filthy, Manny himself is bussing them by himself, and the bar tender is taking care of the entire restaurant without help. A waiter that doesnt want to take tables or make money shouldnt be a waiter in the first place. The live music is also a total atmospheric nightmare to everyone who like to be able to have conversations with the people sitting across from them. My husband and I avoid this place when we know music is present. We have even turned around and left when walking in to see live music is being set up. The 4 people who come to see the music wont be missed if it were done away with. Live Music belongs outside so people can have an option to enjoy it, or get away from it if they came for the food and not the ear assault.

Manny s used to be so much better than it is!! Went in and the sign stated to seat ourselves. I had a chimichanga which was good but my daughter and husbands food were not that great. Sent my daughter s food back because it was disgusting. She had fajita beef burrito which had sour cream sauce and queso in which she didn t ask for both which they allowed her to swap for the same thing I had. Salsa has got to be plain tomato sauce with other crap added to it. Very spicy. Our waiter Oscar was actually great. Couldn t get pass the fact that he sat down to eat and kept licking his fingers and wiping his nose with his fingers and coughing without covering his mouth and I never saw him wash his hands but he was super friendly and very attentive. My husband has the annoying habit of giving waiters the debit card before reviewing the ticket so as I was looking over the ticket they charged for 3 drinks and there were only 2 as I had water that I did not drink. Also they still charged us for the fajita beef although that was taken back and not eaten, the girl that ran the card didn t want to go through the hassle of canceling the payment etc for the extra $2.75 so she gave Oscar $2.50 out of her pocket to give us in which I left sitting on the table. They also charged us a automatic gratuity for 3 people of over $10. For what I have absolutely no idea. We will NEVER go back and will be sure to share it with all of our friends. Do not waste your money or time!! What should have cost us literally $50 ended up costing us $67.

First of all I will say ASHLEY WAS SUPER SWEET AND KIND...she took over being our waiter since JENNIFER LEFT US HANGING BECAUSE WE DIDNT LIKE THE FOOD!! This was our first time coming. Whats going on Manny? I was happily surprised to see they were open on a Sunday. Well...I should have went elsewhere. We sat ourselves. The staff were confused over who was going to serve us. We ended up with a nice young lady who did pretty good. We ordered and she came back in a few minutes and said the cook messed up the gravy so I couldnt have chicken fried steak...I had to order something else. I then ordered Tonys tacos like my wife did. We both said to steam the tacos and not bathe them in oil like they usually do. There were only 3 tables in the restaurant occupied the whole time we were there. It took around 30 minutes for the waitress to come out with my wifes plate but told me the cook messed my tortillas up. Now the kitchen and her were arguing about it loud enough for us and everyone else to hear. She apologized. The kitchen staff several times I heard saying curse words in Spanish and yelling different stuff to each other. Finally got my food and it was good but looked thrown together sloppy. Not what I have became accustomed to from Mannys over the years. Then I handed my debit card and ticket to the waitress who says oh, I have to go pee and ran to the restroom with my card in hand . Between the big price increases, and this kind of quality and service Im sad to say we will not be going back. Been eating El Charro for decades, then Mannys after that. Seems like its near the end of the road for them after reading some of these other reviews who experienced what we just did. Really hope you get this worked out Manny. For now its adios.

The food was subpar. We went at lunch on a Monday and both ordered the mini quesadilla with no rice; double refried beans. The beans were basically soup. We did upgrade to fajita steak meat on our quesadillas and that then made them $12.50. The mini quesadilla was 1 tortilla that was about the size of a soft taco; I know it said mini; but for that and this small bowl of bean soup for 12.50 seemed a little over priced. The beans were pretty bland, tried adding salt and pepper and that didnt help. The salsa was spicy. We got a medium queso and added meat. The medium is the same size as the bowl of beans on my plate and she forgot the meat. When she took it back and brought it with meat there was WAY too much meat; more meat than cheese. Also; if you use a debit or credit card there is a 3.5% fee they add. (apologize for the not great still from a video that I cant post)

Manny s Tex-Mex Cafe on Beckham Ave in Tyler, TX. I ve never been before so I thought I d give it a try since I was on that side of Tyler. I went there this evening, (Saturday 8/5/23), for a take out order. I sat down at a table to place my to go order. I ordered the chicken flautas meal. I was asked if I wanted rice and beans and told the server yes. I also ordered the steak fajitas. I was asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas and I stated I wanted flour tortillas. I also ordered an adult beverage to drink while I waited. They brought out chips and salsa as well which was really good and had a nice spice to it. I get my check and gave a $9 tip - total bill $60. They brought out my order and the bag was tied in a knot. No worries. I trusted it to be right, which I shouldn t have done and I left. I get home only to discover I did not get the rice and beans with the flautas meal or any tortillas at all for the fajitas. The salsa they sent home with me was basically tomato juice. V8 has more flavor than this stuff did. No seasoning or spice at all. Very disappointed with all of it and I won t be back. Too expensive to have that many errors.

Not good At all. Salsa tastes and looks like a can of tomato sauce. Queso tasted like a cheap mac&cheese powder made with water. Everything was very bland. Im guessing there isnt a chef in house just someone that opens a can. Atmosphere was horrible. I didnt know if my family was eating at a bar or if the drunks were drinking at a restaurant. Very loud and obnoxious to me but the ones that were intoxicated were having a blast. I hope they made it home safely. My husband and I went here for a meeting. Waitress very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately both times we were there, one waitress is in charge of our large group making it difficult to timely pass out our orders although other waitresses came in to help at that time. Just got home from there. Went there with my wife and while walking to the car I remarked that it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. She agreed with me. Parts of our order just didnt show up at all. I need to go brush my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. Service was very slow, place is very understaffed. The owner needs to step up and do his job.

Heard alot about this place. Had a great waitress who told me whats what and let me try different things. Had a nice cold beer and even soppipa at the end. Good food, fun clean atmosphere, and Manny the owner even came out to check in on us. Good vibe, good place. Will see you again soon.

As a long time Tylerite, I grew up going to El Charros and have loved the orange sauce, food, atmosphere. Its consistently delicious and every time great service. If you want a cocktail, they have a full bar, and wonderful patio space, and live music times as well. I will continue to enjoy Mannys and get my orange sauce fix regularly. (IYKYK!). Parking: More than enough parking at this location and large parking spaces.

I called 2 weeks in advance for a reservation for 35 and checked back 3 times to confirm. It took us 2:15 to be served and eat. The food was cold, only had 1 waitress, even after I told them 35 were coming for lunch and the prices OUTRAGEOUS! 2 kids meals, 2 lunch enchiladas, 3 teas and 1 water $67!

The wait staff and managers are horrible. The waitress treated herself to a $20 tip on a $27 ticket. I gave her $5 cash but I guess that wasnt good enough for her. My bank statement said I had a $47 charge from them. I went to the restaurant to talk to the manager about it but Johnathan wouldnt come out to talk to me. I wont be going back. It will probably be closing down soon anyways like all the rest of the El Charro restaurants have.

Missed to old El Charros so have been to all of the off shoots. Some now closed. Been to Mannys 3 times and each time service was zero. Totally ignored each time with wait staff gathered and talking. Once I was one of 5 customers and still had to get up and ask to be served. I give up!!
