Best Mexican food in town. We moved here from San Antonio, so our standards are high. This is it! We also roll in on Friday nights with 3 young kids who are loud and messy, but the staff is always so kind as we work to teach our kids how to order and behave in restaurants. The kids love coming here, and we appreciate how sweet the staff is.

Horrible Service! I was going to wait until tomorrow to leave this review. But Im upset enough, I feel like I need to do it now. Today is Sunday Aug 11th. 8:30pm. We sat down in the corner booth with our family of 5. We were seated by the hostess. She was very nice. A young man brought chips and salsa to our table. The waitress was a young lady. But obviously not the most intelligent person. She came to the table to take our drink order. She was writing it down, but I guess she cant read her own writing. She repeated it back wrong. Thought we had it corrected, but I guess she lost her drink order. Because she brought the wrong drinks.... how hard can it be when 3 of the 5 drinks are tea..... Okay, move forward.. she comes back 2 min later for the food order. She takes the order... and get this... she NEVER came back to the table. A nice young man brought the food out. Asked if we needed anything. And another young man brought us more chips. The waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything. She never came to refill drinks. We start to stand up to leave, and we are looking around for our waitress so we can pay.. where is she?? She is at the bar, chatting it up, flirting with 2 guys. She finally comes over as we have all gotten up from the table. I said oh there you are, havent seen you, thought you left! She had no response. The food was delicious as always. Its why its our favorite place to stop on our drive. I have it bookmarked in my favorites on Google maps. But if we ever walk in there and see her again, I will not have her as my waitress! And a piece of advice for the pretty young lady. Looking so desperate for attention is not that attractive. A real man would respect a hard-working woman who handles her job.

Excellent little spot on a road trip after a long day. Greeted very quickly and in a friendly manner as well. The service was excellent got our drinks immediately and was served chips and salsa promptly as well the salsas were 2 red salsas and a very nice bean dip. I ordered the birria quesadillas which were excellent, I only personally regret not ordering some consumme on the side for dipping but everything that came with it was perfect excellent guacamole and pico with some sour cream. Delicious birria flavor on perfectly toasted tortillas. Overall highly recommend.

This place was good in the late 90s but its been inconsistent beyond the new millennium. Would it kill them to actually serve real fajita instead of mystery dog meat? Also the dude at the intercom has a real attitude problem its like reliving the stand-up routine of George Lopez. Another mediocre Tex-Mex dump in Central Texas that people think is good food. We were from our of town and didnt know if we were suppose to seat ourselves. We understood a storm came through and the service and staff were trying to recover from the storm. The waitress was rude. The food wasnt that good. The worst part we would have to have been from Mexico because they didnt understand English. So if you see this restaurant off the highway. Find an American restaurant or a McDonalds. We love and embrace everyone,but the language barrier was a bit much. When serving the people that are coming through on a trip and tired. All of this doesnt serve the outside visitors. Parking: Be careful when coming off the interstate theres lots of traffic.

I needed to make a review for this place after seeing someone giving a one-star review for them being closed. There was a tornado that literally went through this restaurant last week. OF COURSE THEY WERE CLOSED. In the brief time before the tornado hit, we were quickly served chips with salsa and beans. I have not been to a Mexican place before that brought beans with chips and really enjoyed that. The staff were great during a terrifying experience and helped keep everyone safe. Thank you everyone there for protecting us. We hope you are able to open soon!

I read very positive information about Menudo in an article, practically stating that it was a super food. Well, the Menudo at this place was delicious; right texture, right amount of liquid and panzitas, and all the ingredients well balanced to give the perfect taste. Great service and clean place. 2nd time 4-9-24 had the plate come to life: The food was extraordinarily delicious, I just wish they would cut the octopus into small pieces so you dont get choked by a tentacle. I received great service from Valeria and the rest of the employees. 5-21-24 had the tortilla soup. Again, the food was magnificent.

I love all the Mexican food it is authentic Mexican food , everything but the enchiladas , I am not a fan of there enchiladas! Very friendly and fast workers . Customer service i would give you less stars. Lesson 101 if you take a order REPEAT IT. so you make sure that the order is correct. If im placing my order and paying for my food i want what i ordered. The lady in the window was rude and had a attitude from the start. She was slamming the window and i watched her throw my food on the counter before handing it out the window. I asked her at the window for my CORRECT items. I was initially unsure of this restaurant by the way it looks on the outside but it was very nice inside and the food was good. They give you beans with your chips and salsa which was nice. Also one of the salsa was warm which I have never had before. The food was good. We were staying at the motel next door and my spouse went back for breakfast the next day and he said it was the best breakfast he s had at a restaurant.

This place was right next to the freeway, next to Super 8 Motel. I wanted to have a Mexican breakfast so this was the stop. From first sight, things looked good, lots of customers! Hispanic ones for that much (can be a good sign the Mexican food Id good!) I ordered huevos machacados which is scrambled eggs with dry aged beef. It came with papas and tortillas. The food came out quickly, and hot. The service was grade A. Same with the food! I highly recommend. My partner kept it gringo and ordered an omelet, which she really enjoyed. Strongly recommend. Oh, and thr girl that is a manager or owner, is awesome. She went around checking on tables and doing whatever she could to make people have a good experience. awesome

The outside of the restaurant looks like a nasty shack but when you walk inside it s very beautiful. I order the green enchiladas they were horrible. The cheese wasn t melted and it looked like a block of velveeta. The guy who attended me his name is Rafael has a nice accent and he is very cute. Never order the enchiladas they will send you to the toilet. The salsa tastes like sour jalapeño would not recommend. The best part was the beans and rice. The chips were stale and not good. I won t be coming back because as a Mexican this is offensive. But the customer service is very nice just need to work on the food. My rating for this restaurant is 3.4/10

I like the food. The past few times Ive been there the wait staff took my order correctly, but the kitchen staff was busy and didnt get the order right. Fortunately the wait staff recognized the problem when I simply pointed to my plate and re-did the order. This happened 3 times consecutively, but was taken care of so I really dont have any serious complaints. Other than that everyone, including the host, wait staff, and even the customers are very friendly! I have been a regular customer here for years and only very seldom had this problem, so I suspect the kitchen may have new people. I do definitely recommend this place for both the food and the courteous wait staff.
