I had a terrible shawarma meal from the Abu Omar Halal Food Truck recently. There was barely any chicken, and they completely ignored the clear instructions I provided. I asked for Hot Sauce / spicy but the wrap was sweet! Asked for pickles and I reckon they swapped chicken with Sweet Pickles. Calling that wrap a shawarma is a joke! It seems like they skimped on the ingredients, probably because I ordered through an Uber Eats BOGO deal. It felt like they put the amount of chicken meant for one shawarma into TWO wraps. So disappointing! Never again with Abu Omar! (Team at Abu Omar: Chicken Shawarma means Chicken Shawarma!) Shami Food Trucks shawarma is far better an authentic Arabian shawarma without any nonsense.

Ive been a loyal customer for two years, regularly ordering their chicken over rice, which was always delicious and satisfying. However, todays experience was a letdown. The rice was undercooked and excessively salty, making it inedible. To make matters worse, the chicken was overcooked and dry. It seemed like a completely different cooking style than what Im used to. I felt like I wasted my money today. Im unsure what changes have occurred in the kitchen, but the quality has significantly deteriorated. As a loyal customer, its disheartening to see such a decline. Just stopped by for my first time and I must say, the food is amazing. I ordered lamb with salad over rice and it is extremely good! The lamb & rice is cooked perfectly and the salad is very very good! The portion size is huge for only $14 and the service was super fast and incredible! Sugarland - I was here for a second Uber pick up and when I asked the guy to confirm the name, he said its only one order in a nasty tone and threw it on the counter. We can always count on Abu Omar for a delicious meal. Ill usually call in the order 10 minutes ahead of time so we can just walk up and get it asap. Chicken Arabi is the usual go-to for us but their falafel and kibbeh and amazing as well. Their portions are also very generous, as you can see I promise the chicken Arabi wrap is underneath the pile of fries Tip: definitely order extra garlic sauce

We had a corporate event we catered from them, and even though they open at 11 am, they had the platters ready to go by 11:15. Great customer service and delicious food! I had ordered the zinger wrap, and really enjoyed it. Everyone loved the food and will definitely be catering from them again!
