About the Company
rating: 4.1
Ever wondered about the origins of Brookstreet BBQ? It started in the Great Uptown kitchen of Texas Chicken Rotisserie. As our menu grew, the need for dedicated BBQ locations became apparent. Our first was in Sugar Land, followed by Missouri City and Houston. We're experts in classic hickory wood Bar-B-Q, striving daily to perfect our craft. Our brisket is a crowd-pleaser, along with our smoked turkey and jalapeño sausage. While our family of restaurants varies in cuisine and tradition, all share a commitment to high-quality food, great value, and exceptional hospitality.

This was a one-time visit. There is nothing to ride home about. Ive had better at a hospital. The BBQ needs sauce to make it edible. The baked potato with chopped beef was the safest bet. Chicken = DRY. Brisket = DRY, Ribs = blah. There are better places.

Not impressed with the skinny male cashier. I was there with a group of 9 and my food was accidentally given by cashier to the wrong customer, and I then ended up with someone elses food. I mentioned the mistake, and he said he couldnt do anything, so I ordered and paid for my meal all over again so that I could get what I wanted. On the plus side, the potato salad was amazing.

Been coming to this place for 20 years. Called about the sauce. It was in bottles for years. Now they give you sauce in a Covid container. And no more mustard based sauce? I was told today was the only day they didn t have the mustard based sauce. Glad I went out of my way to drive here. Not happy!

This place is incredible!!! We were looking for some good bbq beings we are from Kansas City. We tried two other bbq places (one was Rudy s yuck) this place was definitely THE WINNER!!! It was all delish!!! BBQ sauce just right and the meet was perfect. Not nasty wet looking like the other places. They had the best French fries and Mac and cheese too. The banana cream pudding was soooooo good too!!! We will definitely be going back before we go home. And the facility way so cozy and very clean! Very nicely kept up. Great old country jams on the radio too! All around A++++!

With the intention to give people the heads up: this is old school type bbq. Not the best (subjectively) because of their lack of flavor within the meats. Not the juiciest or most tender. Very bland. The sauce is very tangy, but not sweet nor smoky. Their jalapeño sausage and pork are great! But their brisket, even their fatty cuts, are bland. No good bark. Customer service: same. They just want to go home Environment: dim and rustic. In a busy street. Very old fashioned and neat

I used Uber eats, ordered the rib plate, 1st issue is that after I submitted and paid for my order+tip, I got a message from the driver saying they didnt have ribs and would I like another meat, so I said Cancel my order, he said he couldnt do because of something with the app, so I said bring me brisket with mustard sauce, I get my food open my box and its pulled chicken and some other sauce and still charged me for a rib plate.....NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!

This place is terrible. It used to be good but I think they must have sold it to a vegetarian because they definitely don t know what BBQ is. What s really frustrating is that the sides are not out. They just give you like a little bit of sauce (which is really sweet) pickles and pickled onions. Maybe jalapeño slice on your tray. They don t even have regular white onion.

I went to pick up Bbq while staying at Methodist Hospital. I ordered 4 brisket sandwiches. 3 were mixed and 1 was moist. Along with some other items. All the sandwiches appeared to be the same and the Brisket was tough. It was dried out as if it had been sitting out all day uncovered. I slathered it in bbq sauce and even that didn t help. My 10 yr old nephew accidentally dropped a piece on the floor and sneakingly through the rest away. This was the worse brisket i have ever had. Maybe it was a bad day but for $80 i expected something better. The sausage and macaroni were good tho.

This place is quaint and takes you back in time. The staff are friendly and helpful. The day I went, there were only 3 families eating there, which makes it all the more better for a great atmosphere and better staff attention. There were people coming in for take-out. The baked potato, chopped beef, and toppings were great. The chicken nuggets and Okra were great. It was a quiet restaurant and my dining experience was relaxed and enjoyable. Banana pudding carried this meal. It was good, 7/10. The Mac and cheese was runny instead of thick and creamy, 5/10. The greens beans were decent, but nothing out of the ordinary, 6/10. The brisket had no smoke flavor, it was tender, but pretty bland, 5/10. Pulled pork was decent, still lacked flavor, 5.5/10. Jalapeno sausage was ok, but too finely ground inside, I prefer a courser grind, 6/10. Sauce tasted like (and dont ask how I know this flavor) a burnt out sparkler firework. It was very bad 1/10. I think the price for the portions of food is fair, just not overjoyed at the quality.

How much training does it take to check to make sure the Basic items are in customers to go orders? Is management there to oversee these things? Since I dont see any Responses to the Reviews they get i guess the answer is NO!

I m from New Orleans Louisiana where Bunny Bread is Thee Bread to use. I came here and got a plate that came with a slice a bread. I took 1 bite and breathed in the rest of it lol . That bread is so good I called them to see if they sold the loaf and THEY DO!! I am so happy I can buy the loaf. The rest of the food was good like their sausage wasn t salty but was seasoned well. The pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. Their baked potato was so fluffy full and moist. Man this is my spot when I come to Sugarland. Also, I will be telling all my New Orleans and Louisiana people that the bread there taste just like Bunny Bread

The beef used to melt in my mouth and I thought It was the best thing on earth , lately the meat has been so tough and chewy and hard to eat .. my guess is that it s undercooked , I force Myself to eat it because I just paid $14 for a half pound of meat , it s just not consistent anymore and it makes me sad , idk if there is new management or what but please go back to cooking the brisket thoroughly .

The food was okay, didnt have a heavy smoke flavor to the meat like I think of when I have BBQ. There wasnt any kind of choices in the sauce given and that sauce didnt complement the turkey as well as it did the brisket. I got the two meat platter and chose turkey and pulled pork, potato salad and ranch beans- chili beans/ chili seasoning not what I think if when I think of ranch beans- you get a slice of bread, pickles, picked onions and jalapeño slices and I ordered a soda. The meal was more than filling and other than the BBQ sauce it was good.

Very delicious BBQ I got the double barrel baked potato and they put a nice big whop of meat on mine I was happy they even added pickles and jalapeños and coslaw on the side for free and I didnt even ask and it was super delicious and I dont usually like jalapeño.

Quick on the service. We ordered the 4 meat combo and received sausage, brisket, 2 ribs because a meat wasnt there. Overall, the brisket and sausage was the best, Tasted fresh and was a good temp when brought out to us. The ribs tasted and was old, like from the day before. They were for sure left out to be served another day. The jambalaya rice wasnt good. It looked like Mexican rice with one piece of sausage in there with a couple of pieces of celery(small). The fries were hot and seasoned. Overall for the price you pay, the amount of food is not matching the cost. I give it a 2.5 due to the old ribs they gave us and the rice.

I HAVE BEEN SPOILED BY TEXAS BRISKETS OFF HWY 90A SINCE 1984. AND I WAS USED TO THEIR FAVOR OF THEIR BBQ SAUCE AND HOW THEY CUT THEIR MEAT FOR SNADWITCH CHOPPED OR SLICE BRISKETS. HOW BROOKSTREET BBQ RIBS. WAS THE ONLY THING THAT WAS BETTER THAN THE OLD TEXAS BRISKETS HOUSE. SORRY I AM JUST TELL IT HOW GOOD TEXAS BRISKETS BBQ PLACE WAS. I AM VERY HARD TO PLEASE ME. WHEN IT COMES TO TEXAS BBQ IN THE HOLE STATE OF TEXAS.

My first time ordering from Brookstreet Bbq. The order was ribs and three sides, the sides were ok, small quantities for the price and two out of the four ribs, were only small pieces of rib meat that were so small there wasnt any bone. Not sure if it was because it was an online delivery or not but I will give them another shot. Well they didnt fail to disappoint the second time around either. Same poor quality and small portions for the price. This is not baseball you dont get three strikes with me. Would not recommend.

I went to Brookstreet for my very first time! Its pretty damn good Bar-b-que. Had the jalapeno sausage and marbled brisket. Price range better than Spring Creek. Cole slaw a smidge thick, but is still better tastin than most. Potato salad not heavy on mayo, with a very little, chunkiness to it, still good...! Only one critique. I prefer whole, not sliced jalapenos. Final Score, Brookstreet team, Five . Spring Creek Two .
