If I could give zero stars, I would. It took us 8+ hours to fix the disaster of the person that cut our hair. I would never recommend going there unless you thoroughly vet the person. Truly it was ridiculous and has not just caused to have multiple hours to fix it but the impact that loosing 8+ inches of growth would have on any person. Do not go to Visible Changes !!!!

Went in to get a trim for my mullet and bangs so that I could see. My stylist (no idea her name I was never given it) proceeded to tell me I needed layers and ignored my reference pictures. I left with the front half of my hair looking like a literal bowl cut while the back half was 4 times as long, like I had two different styles. I started dissassociating in the middle of the cut because I saw what she was doing and couldnt say anything the entire time. Had to go through the entire mall with that hair just to get out which nearly gave me a panic attack. When I got to my car and could actually see it, the cut wasnt even in the slightest. One side was longer than the other. I cannot believe I paid $50 for it. I will not be attatching photos because this whole experience has been mortifying, and I have no idea how to fix it since the stylist cut off ALL the hair I would have needed to make it look decent. To reiterate, I came in for a trim and was basically told I needed layers and left with a different haircut entirely which looks terrible.

This place is the best I have been to for a haircut. I wish I had gone here sooner. After a bad experience at another salon, I made an appointment here, and my haircut was with TJ. He treated me well, washed my hair, made great conversation, and gave me the best haircut Ive ever had. All of my friends say the cut suits me and looks really good. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Visible Changes has been my go-to salon for the past 14 years, but my recent experience has left me feeling extremely disappointed. Lately when I call to schedule an appointment, I have been met with confusion and had to explain my needs multiple times to different staff members. Yesterday upon arriving for my 5:30 appointment, I was informed that my stylist was running an HOUR behind ((no one bothered to call me and tell me?))and that there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to speak to a manager, only to be told that there was no manager on duty. This lack of management presence is concerning and reflects poorly on the salons organization and customer service. After expressing my frustration and asking for an alternative stylist (they never bothered to look at the computer or look around to see if anyone was available), thankfully I was eventually taken in for my appointment. However, the overall experience was lackluster and unprofessional. It is unacceptable for a salon of this caliber to not have proper management in place to handle situations like mine. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade, but this experience has made me question whether I will continue to patronize Visible Changes in the future. I hope to see improvements in their customer service and management moving forward.

I had a special event and needed an updo. Jeanette was absolutely wonderful! I showed her a couple of inspiration photos, and she just ran with it. My hair is very fine and normally falls out of place after a couple of hours, but my hair stayed up through the entire party. If you need an updo or styling appointment done, I highly recommend Jeanette!

Clavia (I hope I got her name correctly) did an excellent job styling my hair for my friends wedding. She listened to my concerns and was able to style my hair exactly as I wanted it. It was a slight updo (small braids from the top going around to the side) with curls. I am glad I chose Visible Changes to get my hair done, as I was worried Drybar might not be able to style my hair as I wanted and still charge a lot.

I have always been a fan of how the stylists cut hair at visible changes. I was devastated when my husband and I moved away from my usual salon. I recently discovered this location and I was pleasantly surprised! Park near the Macys parking lot and it will be on your right hand side. I was able to get an appointment the next day, and my creative director was on time for my appointment. She took the time to understand what I wanted done with my hair and recommended a protein treatment to combat my postpartum hair loss. Thankful to have a go to salon again.

The experience my family member had was HORRIBLE!!! Brought my wife, sister, and daughter today. While I was waiting I decided to get a haircut. Normally I am a die hard Sportclips customer. Kaylee did a superb job on my shampoo. Kevin did an amazing job for me. I am definitely going to come back again. Sanaz & Sita did a great job on my daughter. Brian did a great job on my sister. Mayra & Valerie did great on my wife. Update: The team handled the situation with grace and courtesy. Megan, the manager was kind enough to set up an appointment to help achieve the desired outcome. Taylor did an excellent job. She was professional, friendly and I would recommend her. However, I still believe that costs can be lowered a bit especially if someone does not prefer styling after the haircut. Old review below with 2 stars: The customer service experience was pleasant. However, the quality of service was not up to par. I did not feel like the stylist felt empowered to infuse her own skillset and experience, rather it became something totally rule based. My requirements were pretty easy and I did not even require styling afterwards. Even after the second attempt/correction the hairstyle seemed bland and something worth a lot less than what I paid for than a master stylist. It was not of my liking nor am I the person who would argue with a professional about their approach. I remember a few members of the VC crew who did show up with enthusiasm and a skilled approach in the past, but they no longer work their anymore. Perhaps management could increase compensation for such individuals who actually bring their heart and soul into their work to generate a more fulfilling experience for the community. I believe this is the last time I will visit VC @ FC and I would recommend the same to anyone looking for a quality haircut that is actually worth the price.

I got my hair colored to get my grays to go away. I was told that it would last till it grows out however it did not. It lasted barely 3 weeks. It s not new hair growth it is long strands. I called management and she just said that yah she used the long lasting but sometimes that happens. I told her I wash my hair weekly with a color stay shampoo and what ever else the colorist told me to buy so my color would look good.All the managers said was ok. I payed alot of money to just have her dismiss me and say we will speak to the colorist. I took a picture to show my issues.

I ve been coming here since I was super tiny- like, for 15 years. I am not coming back anymore. I had a horrible experience here in 2019 for hair coloring. I asked for auburn hair with highlights at the tips- keep in mind, I showed her reference photos for the color. But first she made my hair an ugly orange-blonde. Way too bright and she tried to send me home with it. Second try was a dark purple-brown. Third try was a dark blood-red dye. Then we gave up. We asked for a partial refund, but instead, we were met with security??? Still had to pay full price (hundreds of dollars) & I left with my hair super damaged. I came back in 2022 giving this place another chance. Hair colorists were super nice and did a good job this time. Especially Chloe But that s the only good part. The last few times I ve gone for a haircut, an older African American woman has cut my hair. She was so rude and made me so anxious. She was critiquing my makeup, pointing out I had fake eyelashes, my earrings, etc.. Then she asked where I live. I answered with Sienna, and her face turned into a disgusted look, and she said in a sarcastic, rude tone Oh, the PLANTATION The last time I was here, which was this past Sunday, I asked for curtain bangs, but for the middle of it to be more straight. I showed him a reference picture too. Yet he butchered my hair. My bangs are now super chunky, uneven, and not blended AT ALL (see reference picture for bangs on photo 1, and my bangs in 2&3). And that is what I got for $108?????? I don t even want to bother asking for a refund after the way I was treated last time I asked.

i ve been to visible changes lots of times and have always been satisfied, but i was heavily disappointed this time. i went in for a consultation and talked to brian, he said that the hair color i wanted was definitely achievable and i scheduled an appointment. (i told him my history with box dye etc and he said that it was no problem). the next day when i went in, out of nowhere brian started talking about how damaged my hair is and if i went through with it, my hair would break and fall off. i was disappointment but confused because he had already told me the day before that there wouldn t be any issues. he sent me home and later i got a call that there is another hair stylist willing to do my hair, i said yes. she dyed my hair with no problem. later, i was getting my hair straightened by another hair stylist and she told me that brian lied to me because he was being lazy and didn t feel like doing it. and she also told me that he s done this to numerous customers in the past. i was stunned because he straight up gave me wrong information and i believed him because of course he d know better - or so i thought. not only did he waste my 2 days, he was extremely unprofessional and rude. i will not be coming back due to lack of professionalism and how they are turning away customers just because they don t want to do it. extremely dissatisfied.

Nice but would not allow own hair products for allergies. Edit: The stylist brought it up to management about allergies and not having products that I could use due to allergies. It meant a lot to me and she continued to think about me and ways to help. I went back yesterday and cut my hair off. It was team work to find what would work best. As I was not sure. We went through photos to figure out what would work best. Definitely worth the time and money.

Had the worst experience at visible changes!!!! went in yesterday to get outgrown blonde hair retouch to Balayage but as you can see they messed up my hair... then they apply a toner to my blonde bleach hair and it turned out Gray .Talked to the manager is she said it look good !!really? me thinking its visible changes I expected professional ppl to know what they doing. I normally do not post reviews & struggles with this. However, someone needs to know. I was greeted cordially by the reception but it ended at cordial. My stylist spoke maybe five times! Follow me, put your head in the bowl, sit here, what do you want, they will take you payment I knew It was going to be $60 so there is no argument there. I asked for an A-line bob and got a $10 straight bob! I wasn t about to tell a Mid-level stylist how to treat customers much less how to cut an A-line. I normally tip $40-$50! This person received a $10 tip. So disappointed I will be going back to a small mom & pop shop!

I have been going to Visible Changes salons since the 80s and to this one since the mall opened in 1996. I love my hair cutter, she is wonderful. I have been getting my hair colored for about 15 years and always buy the products. On my last visit, as I was checking out - my bill was well over $300 because I got full high lights, 4 products, an extra conditioning treatment and a cut and blow dry - I was informed that I would be charged 3.5% for using a credit card! Seriously??!! Going forward, I will buy no products or extra services and look into getting my hair colored elsewhere. I will keep getting my hair cut but I will make sure to bring cash in large bills. You got my $10 this time but you will lose a lot more from a multi decade customer of your business who does not appreciate being nickel and dimed when paying for an expensive service.

I ve been using Visible Changes for years. It s sad to say I won t be coming back here anymore. Today was the last time I ever want to be agitated with getting a haircut. It s constant frustration with this place. I couldn t agree more with the other reviews, the rates are constantly going up and the communication gets worse. I ve had several stylists move or quit and no notice was given. I m sure like others would agree it takes time to find a great stylist who you can TRUST. They ve lost my trust as customer all together. When I called and scheduled I was quoted and priced way differently than when I finally had to checkout. I was charged $70 for a cut with no special wash, color or treatment. Upon checking out I asked the receptionist/cashier to give me a breakdown of the charges. She was irritated with my question and had a distasteful facial expression. Like another review, I couldn t agree more again, I have every right to ask about the price they expect me to pay. They charged me $55 for layers, $10 for blowdrying my hair, and $5 for using conditioner while washing my hair. Most girls use conditioner, why in the world is that a separate price?! Also, do they expect me to leave the salon with wet hair. Why would they charge me $10 on top of $55?! On top of all of this nonsense, there is a 3% fee for using a credit card, so I forced to use a debit card because I didn t have enough cash on me. I was never told this before. Again, constant changes no new communication. Honestly, I don t want an apology from a manager after reading my review, but would love to see change in this establishment. It s become such a corporate money machine with so many inconstancies and lack of great communication and customer service. I used to pay $30 last year and now it s $70 for a simple haircut. Yeah no way, I ll take my business somewhere else. Thank you.

My daughter likes this place but honestly the rates are over rated for a corporate level mall location. I was charged $80 for a straight hair cut shoulder length no special wash, no hair dry nothing fancy. Make sure to ask for price before and that they dont try to add services without letting you know there is extra fee for using shampoo. Where in this world they charge to use shampoo when wetting your hair in the sink! Just one more star for service smile but was more like Im smiling while stabbing you.

Been going here 20 years, the check out girls while paying your bill are now so rude, young & uneducated with no customer service experience. I spent $560 on Feb 18 and I asked the check out girl what my breakdown of my bill was, she rolled her eyes and spoke to me so rudely like why the heck was I even asking. Super friendly stylists. I asked for balayage, pointed to a photo on their wall for color and style. Did not want length cut, just a little to tidy up and give volume. Hair was past my bra strap, is now JUST to shoulder, so she took a good 6-8. Highlights were done too much and definitely not the correct color $325. Been going to Visible Changes 20+ years. First Andre was my normal stylist (he left), then Gabe (RIP) then recently Jannette. This is where I went wrong- the first time she did my hair it was $70. Second time same style nothing different $80. (No problem) Third time when I called to make an appointment the lady over the phone said she was $100. I asked her why for the same service the price keeps going up? She said she would talk with the stylist Janette and let me know. I get there and while I m waiting to be seen a random worker walks up to me from the reception desk and proceeds to tell me that Janette does not want you as a client and wants to refuse service for doing your hair. It was super embarrassing, not to mention unprofessional. The money wasn t an issue I have paid way more for hair services for way better stylist in the past. She refused doing my hair over me wanting an explanation of pricing only; without even giving me an explanation. I was furious. She then later after I said I would find her in the salon and talk to her myself came and wanted to talk. She said she wasn t $100 the receptionist didn t say the correct price it was $90 again for the same service. Which isn t a problem I would have gladly paid I simply only enquired why the price kept changing They lost a forever customer that day. Educate your receptionist on pricing and staff how to handle questions on services professionally.

$50 to not get a low fade. Yes they fixed my hair issue but the end result was not worth spending the money. Extremely disappointed. Master cutter was nice and all but at that price should have provided a decent fade. The cut was fixed but I guess I should ve gone to a barber. We have been patronizing this VC for at least 8 years. Took my daughter in for her 3rd highlight appointment today. Her first visit was $130 and the second visit (for same exact service , no change in hair length) $180. At this time I questioned the increase and was then told it was the styling that increased the cost, no mention of any different level of stylist (odd because it was the same exact service from the first highlight appointment). Today the cost was $220 so I questioned the increase cost again and this time I was told we were setup with a level 3 stylist that we werent even told about or requested. Why werent we given the option to go with a lower level stylist instead of the highest level stylist? We were not even told there were different levels of stylists. This appeared as a rip off to me, because people should have the option to pick the level of stylist they prefer. I will be contacting the corporate office about this, it is misrepresentation at its highest. Please beware of what they are selling you at Visual Changes First Colony Mall. We will not be visiting again.

I have been going here for a few years to get my hair colored and cut. I went in recently to get my hair cut and colored. They girl who was doing my color was no longer there so they gave me someone else. I was fine with that because they said the color the other girl used was in the system. The lady who did my color was really nice but my color is definitely not what I typically get. Also for my haircut my lady was off so I went to a guy and he messed up hair up bad. He cut off way more than I wanted and it s not even at all.

I was 10 minutes late due to a train crossing that delayed my tardiness and they did not accept my excuse and told me they could not take and I had to reschedule. I blocked a whole afternoon for haircut and color and ready to spend some $400 and they turned me away. Never again will I step foot in their salon again and give them my business.

A fine experience in Oct 2022, BUT I simply cannot believe that they transferred the 3% credit card fee (that businesses pay for using VISA) to MY bill. This appears to be a relatively recent change. IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, Ive NEVER seen a business do that. Shocking.

I wrote a review regarding the bad service that my daughter received. I got a reply that the manager was going to contact me but I have yet to receive a reply or a call back. Like I mentioned before, we have been going to Visible Changes for the past 20 years. I never had any issues with the location at the Galleria, West Oaks, and Memorial. We moved to Sugar Land a year ago and the closest location to us now is Sugar Land. We never had any issues until now. I recommend any Visible Changes location EXCEPT the one in Sugar Land.

My daughter had an appointment on 08/06, they literally took 5 minutes on her hair cut. The person that cut her hair did not finish the service because he said that she had lice. My daughter suffers from eczema on her scalp since she was a newborn, she is now 13 years old. My husband is the one that had to take my daughter since we had to split up to get everything we needed for back to school. They still made my husband pay for a service that was not worth $28.00. Visible Changes is the only hair salon that me and my three girls use. We never had any issues before but we will need to start looking for a new hair salon.

Since 2002 I have been going to visible changes .I stated at the gallery location my hair stylist, left and I went the the one at the one in west oak mall. Unfortunately that location close,so I end up at the sugarland location, love visible changes they always have done a awesome with my hair. Never have an issue with any of the past location. My stylist and has a great relationship. But I I noticed a major difference, with the sugar land location front end staff who book the appointments was always rude not friendly. However after almost 5 yrs of coming to this location. For the past six months I would booked appointments with my stylist Nicholasa and was told she is not available. However may 22 I poked and appointment for 9am got there in time., shampoo blow dry.I was so excited to be on a 3pm flight yo Dallas for engagement. But when I got there I was told my stylist do not work on a Thursday my heart was I don t want to missed my son s engagement the girl at front told they have no pm to do my hair, but throw yo another stylist who had an appointment the same. However a sylist name Jonny came in early that morning for some reason he said it was divine intervention thanks to Jonny . It was so stressful but inadequate it to Dallas. Similar situation occurred two week ago book my appointment a week ahead for 6pm got to the mall a hour early just waiting having a juice a Jamba Juice at 545pm my phone a I answered some rudely asked, what are you going to get here? I said iam here and my appointment is for 6pm!!! She said no 530pm and you are not going to get service. 2 mins fro Jamba I got there there was male African American hair stylist . Standing at the counter with his bag on his shoulder as if he was waiting for me as Igor the the counter a young lady was standing waiting also I presumed she is the one that called introduced myself my name is Annette small ? I asked why for the past six months trouble when I schedule she said you just schedule yesterday and we call to remind and you did not answered because you appt was for 530pm I said to her had I known, my appt was for that time , I was here in the mall at 5pm so that doesn t make sense would admit that they made mistake s as previously done. We are going back and forth she was. Very rude telling i am aggravating her I must up the male stylist tell me ( mam be quite don t let me have to call security)!!!!! My response to him was(wow your are going to call security on me because I am talking!!!) you are not asking her to stop and she is so disrespectful very disrespectful never call Jonny my stylist I was there 20 mins after six no stylist I sat down for 10 more mins then she walk out from around to counter pass tell me I am not getting I told I no longer wish to speak her her hair was green she went to back door with few more stylist they all gathered around her but I did not pay that much attention because it was not serious 635 pm Jonny Camry took me yo shampoo bowl while at the bowl I saw 2 female security office in yellow came in the same door still did not worry about knowing that I did not do anything wrong. Jonny shampooed my hair put the treatment day me under the he said 10 min 2 mins under the dryer person with the green hair came with a sugarland police officer l I was still like what is this what is going on . The officer said she have something to say to me I lift the dryer off my head I said !!! What do you have to say she said i not giving you leave with the treatment on my hair with the plastic cap on my is this real is this really happening!!!! After 20yr never any fights law abiding citizens of the country cannot speak in visible changes . !! Because t that person was vindictive and manipulative having everyone believe that I was a threat to her because she just was not going to give me service as she said twice. The office was perturbed he left I still have to get the chemical out of my hair did not want drive 40 mins Home with chemical in my hair really visible changes!! Why? All the lies

My son likes to go here because of a particular stylist we made an appointment and I was running late and called I asked if I should reschedule the receptionist told me no they would work it out that I could still come. We get there it was 15 minutes after and I was told she couldnt do his haircut but another stylist could. Umm no that is the only stylist he will let touch his hair. Then the receptionist told me well you said 10 minutes you took longer, really 5 minutes more do you not see my stroller with my baby that I had to get out of my car plus walk from parking lot into the mall. I called if you needed me to reschedule I would have no problem but you let me come and then did what you did. The only reason I even gave 3 stars is because the stylist ended up getting us in. This place is way to expensive and too out of the way for me. I wont be back. My son will have to find a different stylist.

Very bad customer service, Manager was very rude and misbehaved. Book appointment and payed $50, just was late 10 minutes and they deduct that $50 straight up, no store credit no discount just straight up lost $50. Girl with purple hair was not helpful at all, Is it the right way to treat customers? How can you expect to us to come back to that store. Never seen that type of customer service in life.

Staff is extremely unprofessional.They booked me with the wrong level stylist from what I requested & refused to acknowledge their mistake. The level 1 colorist did not know what she was doing, she left my hair dripping with red color all over the floor, my hands & clothing. I sat there dripping red everywhere for 40 minutes waiting on the second stylist for blow dry. I asked someone twice how long it would be & was told 10 minutes after 45 minutes When no one showed up, I asked to see the manager. Manager was extremely rude & started speaking over me as I was explaining the issue to her .she turned away from me & told her stylist just wash her hair again and give her soap for her hands Then she says to me well you chose red color & red always drips! . I have NEVER had red color drip all over after getting my hair done! If it wanted color all over my hands & clothes I would ve gotten a box of color from the drug store & done it at home! They don t even apologize for their error & make the customer feel like it s their fault for choosing the wrong color! DO NOT waste your time or money at this place!

Ive been going here for years and probably wont go back. I ALWAYS love the stylists thats never the problem... but corporate has made the prices WAY TOO HIGH for the average person. One star because it wasnt a zero option. When I schedule the appointment the estimate was completely off, second I got there on time and one lady told me she wasnt able to see me because they booked my appointment from 3 to 3:30 and she wasnt going to be able to dye my hair in that amount of time, the second lady came and told me she wasnt able to do my hair cause I was late (they tried to throw the ball at me) but the receptionist told me my appointment was from 3 to 4:30 sooooo whos lying TERRIBLE customer service HORRIBLE. It was my first time a last, I prefer to take my business elsewhere with more efficient employees.

Visible changes you need to answer the phone by saying how can I steal your money better instead of how can I make your day better!!! Be aware and dont do the smoothie treatment because its a waste of time and money. They will promise you things that its not true and When you go to complain or talk to the manager you will see their real customer service!!

My wife got her hair cut and colored here this past Saturday 7/10/21. She even called and asked the girl if she was comfortable doing this cut and she said oh yea love it do it all the time. Then butchered my wife s hair with a razor. Color she didn t get what she asked for here either all around terrible experience that cost more than we were told because it was a more difficult haircut that was not executed properly. Wish she would have just said she couldn t do it. Not what was expected all the way around terrible experience!!
