Really liked the location and the concept for this restaurant. My husband and I got the Benedict (add truffle) and the steak and eggs. The cut of steak really could have been good because the consistency was good but given how undercooked and unseasoned it was, just didn t work. This is coming from someone who orders their steak rare and salt and pepper is all a good steak needs. The eggs that came with it were watery, no taste, and the kind of eggs you get from a box. The Benedict was better and rescued by the truffle. The eggs were poached very well but the brisket left a lot to desire. The pancakes were indeed very good, tasty, and fluffy. This is the reason I gave it a 3. The staff was nice but know that it s order at the front, get your own utensils and drinks kind of place.

It s not every day that you find a culinary experience like this. It almost seems understated to call it a restaurant we could not have been more thrilled with Attaboy. We came in for breakfast and sat at the Chef s Table (the bar looks into the open-concept kitchen) and immediately knew we made the right choice. The staff s passion for cooking was so clear and obvious as they cooked our order. Both in taste and service, the food was above and beyond our wildest dreams. The spudnuts were out of this world, and only to be topped by our meal. There s no point listing out what else we ate, because I m not sure you can go wrong with anything on the menu. If you re just visiting San Antonio, be sure to leave the downtown area and get out to the St. Mary s restaurant area and support these incredible, authentic places. If you re local, make this your new brunch place. 10/10 and can t wait to come back

It was pretty much serve yourself place to eat. Get your our menu, drink, utensils, etc. Came with family and no one finished their plate. Food is very buttery and salty came out in 2 seconds which makes us believe it all came from a bag. Tasted like from a bag and was cold and hard to eat potatoes. Food

I dislike writing negative reviews but I want to save others from ordering the wrong thing and perhaps the restaurant will take more caution in serving unfit food. The breakfast burger (small burger with an egg/bacon) was terrible. Not just bad, but almost difficult to get through the salty dryness. Its a shame, it looked good on the plate, but was overcooked with no flavor. The $5 glaze sauce that they praised didnt rescue the dryness but added an unneeded soy sauce saltiness taste. Perhaps if they hadnt overcooked the burger to death it would have been decent, but when they change $30 for a small burger, they dont get any room for grace. At that price every burger needs to come out full of flavor, juicy, and exceptional. Moving on from the bad burger experience, there are some things this place does well. The pancakes had good flavor and were enjoyed by many at the table. The atmosphere is hip and unique. The servers were nice and relatively attentive.

Stepped off a San Antonio St Mary s neighborhood street into a France-dates-Texas-esque café across the big pond on a Sunday for brunch and were glad for the trip wonderful atmosphere, smart snappily turned out staff and fantastic food amidst vintage jazz and very jazzed patrons. Just missed the Paris Olympics, but won t miss a chance for another stop at Attaboy

The breakfast sandwiches were good but my daughter ordered a Caesar salad and they brought her a head of lettuce. No joke. They said they will give her a steak knife to cut it up. It also had a large slice of anchovy like it was for presentation. It was weird. Please cut my lettuce otherwise I will eat at home. The music was too loud. Its a small restaurant so all the guest in the same room with the over the top loud music made it unpleasant.

First impression, this establishment is very warm and welcoming. The Jazz music and dim lighting upon entry sets the mood. I loved that we were able to see into the kitchen/prep area. We ordered a latte, pancakes, and eggs Benedict. The presentation of all plates were very nice. The only thing I could point out about both dishes is that they were slightly over salted. However, I totally think it could just be a one time thing and not a consistent way of serving the dish! I will definitely be back again! Staff was very attentive and nice about waiting on us, as this was our first time out in San Antonio and trying the local food! Beautiful cafe and beautiful food <3

I wanted to dine at Nola Brunch & Beignets however google didn t update the address so I stumbled upon this restaurant. First impression is I liked the open kitchen concept and being able to see the kitchen staff prepping. The overall ambience is beautiful, the AC was on full blast and the jazz music playing was relaxing. I ordered pancakes and eggs and it totaled $30 I think it s overpriced. I think the pancakes should have been garnished with a lemon sauce or whipped topping and berries on top. I wouldn t mind paying for that if that s how it was paired. However if you are willing to splurge on a meal everything seems to be made in house. It gives very much Nara Smith vibes the gentleman that took my order said he freshly squeezed the orange juice that morning. Which was very good. There is a very limited menu so not many options if you are vegetarian or pescatarian.

Counter service fancy culinary brunch. The French style omelette actually blew my mind. The brisket breakfast sandwich was a gooey, indulgent, cholesterol bath of yumminess, that came with refried potatoes that were pillowy smooth on the inside with a crispy crunch. Down sides: parking is a nightmare. A little pricey. Mimosa was just champagne. Maybe it was mimosa brand champagne, and I didn t read the menu properly. Someone thought about fruit while they poured champagne, which is ok by me to have a boozy mimosa. Surprise upside: the little cat who lives under the cars and comes out to eat breakfast with you. She likes eggs especially.

This was my first time coming in and everything was excellent. I ordered the brisket breakfast sandwich and came with a side of potatoes. Sandwich: Brisket was tender and perfectly balanced the cheese. The eggs were airy and fluffy. This texture was lovely and complimented the house bun nicely. The potatoes: 100/10. I think these are the best potatoes I ve ever had. The skin was crunchy while being perfectly soft inside. I will definitely be coming back!! Edit (2/25): if heavenly had more synonyms I would use them. I have tried something different every time I ve visited Attaboy and each occasion is an exquisite and surreal experience. The attention to detail and intention that everyone dedicates to service provides a beautifully visceral moment through each and every bite. Cullum s Attaboy needs to be known. Thank you

Amazing experience from start to finish! We came just before the brunch rush at 10:45am. The staff at the front gave us a warm welcome in. There were a couple of two-top tables open for us to choose from, but not many for big groups (just a heads up!). We ordered the Steak and Eggs, Brisket and Egg Sandwich, and the Egg Benedict. All were fantastic, but my favorite was the Egg Benedict! The egg was poached beautifully and the hollandaise sauce is probably the best tasting I ve had so far in San Antonio! The cherry on top for this place is the jazz radio sessions playing on the speaker! It gives this place a cozy at-home feeling.

My wife and I wanted to brunch on Sunday. We always like to try new places. I found this True Gem in the St Marys strip area. From the outside, it looks clean and unassuming. Walk inside and you have this cozy eatery with a non clandestine kitchen, nice Jazz music playing. We were met coming in the door by Landon, who set us up at the bar with some menus. We gave him our drink order, my wife had the mimosa, Champagne poured into a frosty champagne glass and spritzed with an orange juice and orange bitters She loved it as it wasnt too sweet. I had a screwdriver that was made with freshly squeezed and very cold OJ and vodka that was pulled from a freezer just like the glass it was poured in, no ice! It was nice that it stayed cold and never tasted watered down. The menu is small, but judging by what we had, they have perfected everything on it! We started with the Fennel and tomato appetizer. The fennel is boiled aldentè in a lemon champagne water, then broiled to get a delicious char and hit with some fresh fennel and seasoning. This was the first time we had eaten fennel root cooked, and it was really tasty. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict, which came out looking awesome, but after that first bite, her eyes lit up and said you have to taste this before you take your first bite.. wow it was so full of flavor and the meat was almost crispy making this bite have layers of not only flavor but textures. I ordered the Brunch Burger just as it comes (you can add hollandaise or englase), 5oz of wagu beef, house smoked bacon, cheese, over easy egg, and a wonderful soft pretzel bun. Two words, HOLY COW! This burger, like the Benedict, was so full of complex flavors. My wife had a bite and was still talking about how good it was on the drive home! Both dishes came with breakfast potatoes that were seasoned and fried crispy crunchy outside creamy inside truly a perfect breakfast potato. During the meal we each had another cocktail and I tried what was called a shot and a bump, this is a freezer cold shot of vodka and 1 gram of black caviar. This one speaks for itself! While we were eating we saw Landon shaving Black Truffle over a large slice of house made cheesecake, I commented and we struck uo a conversation with Alicia the chef she says they have that on the menu periodically. She was very friendly and you could tell she was very serious about her food and loved her work! My wife and I were going to skip dessert, but Alicia insisted we try her Floating Island dessert . Landon got busy and put all the parts together. This Merangue was more like marshmallow, light and fluffy in a tres leches like creme sauce with a large spoon of blueberry compote in the bottom, they put the Merangue toped with shaved almonds gently on the dish so it floats in the sauce. The pictures will say it all! This was truly a fantastic brunch place! Whether you are a foodie or not, you are going to love this place once you try it! We will be eating here again!

Visited during a Saturday around noon with a group of about 14 people. Parking may be hard to come by with so many places to visit and not many spaces, but I found 2-hour free parking on St. Marys. The restaurant wasnt packed at all upon arrival, and there was plenty of space for all of us to sit together. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was exceptionally good. The Hollandaise sauce wasnt too salty or thick and the eggs were poached something awesome. The breakfast potatoes were extra-extra crispy and seasoned well. The plate itself didnt look too big, but it was a very good amount of food for the meal. This is probably the best Eggs Benedict Ive had in San Antonio. If youre a fan of this dish, then I suggest trying out their version. Kid-friendliness: Friendly menu options that children may enjoy.

Overrated. The place is beautiful and highlights its great order. However, it is very rigid, they couldnt serve me a non-alcoholic Bloody Mary because they already had it made. Benedictines are good but adding truffle is a mistake since it does not complement the flavor of the dish and there is no integration. The coffee was good but it was served in a Duralex Picardie glass that loses heat very quickly so it got cold quickly. The redeemable thing was the pâté. The service was standard.

I got a burger with glacé (sounds like gloss) and my wife got eggs benedict. The price is what youd expect for a decent local spot. Everything was suburb and fresh. I heard their omelets are also a favorite of returning customers. I have no problem recommending others to support this local business.

The worst dining experience I have had in a long time, absolutely the worst for the price. The food was supposed to be cajun, but there was hardly a spice to be found besides lemon and pepper. Everything was served as cheep as possible, the menu had all of the french terms for the food with no explanation, we couldnt ask the waitress because we couldnt hear her. The music was too loud, and even worse were the crashing sounds from the kitchen. I spoke to my own partner only via text. Both of our dishes needed something like rice to be on top of. My partners dish was essentially 6 pieces of shrimp in gravy and that was it. At least we didnt have to deal with a wait, but for that kind of experience and waiting an hour like is normally described the food is not worth it. No amount of high end ingredients can cover for lack of a good cook.

My boyfriend and I stopped in to grab some brunch in this area and we re on a waiting list to get in somewhere and started walking around. We happened upon this cute little place and I m definitely glad we did. We decided to grab some mimosas and hang out here for a bit. After one mimosa, we were definitely feeling good and normally it takes a few. Now, this isn t to your average Mimosa As the lady was making them for us she poured a glass full of champagne and I was thinking to myself Dang she didn t leave any room for the orange juice . Well, she then took out a spray bottle that had some orange juice in it, and gave each glass two spritz of OJ. I had always seen jokes or memes about this before, but had never seen it at an actual restaurant. It was definitely some good champagne, but I don t know if I would quite call that a Mimosa. You definitely get your moneys worth with this drink!

Lots to unpack here...I am a foodie, however I may not appear to be and as patrons our level of knowledge of culinary terminology is all over the board, and there is a need to work through that as a hinderance at this price point as the menu is presented. Being educated was of no use with the menu, the young lady at the register was impatient and seemed to vasilate between micro-agression, impatience, and passive aggressiveness as I attempted to order. I have my suspensions of where it was stemming from, as I am not a millennial (Gen X) and I am non-white. My battery on my phone was so low that using the QR code for the menu wasnt an option as the screen was dim. Technology is great, but when working with the public, technological issues has to be accounted for or at least addressed to maintain the continuity of the experience. I asked for other menu versions at the counter and the hostess turned her point of sale monitor toward me with a growing number of people behind me and left for a good 8 mins, providing no explanation or navigation of the webpage or offering any explanation of the dishes (total miss on recommendations and upsale), it was uncomfortable and unnecessarily stressful for a Saturday Brunch. When she returned, the line had grown, and she was curt in answering any questions and at that moment I was informed there were additional links (no visual queues) at the top of the page that offered an expanded view of available dishes. Feeling pressure to make a decision I ordered the escargot and the eggs Benedict, you pay then, even if eating in. The order takes some time and I was considering leaving and seeking a refund just for the aggrevation factor, the kitchen was busy my order was advised to be coming up, so I stayed. I received the eggs Benedict, nice spin on the dish. I finish and see the same hostess and ask about the escargot. To which she replies, I forgot to put it in, that is why you are expected to check your receipt when you pay. Totally assigning her error as my fault. Great food, I will watch how this situation gets handled with this review before I make a recommendation. I love great food, and I really love great people, we missed the mark today and it was disappointing not to be able to use my effort to spend ample time giving this restaurant a stellar rating.

I am severely lactose intolerant, so when I ordered the omelet, which had the eggs whipped in cream, with cheese on the inside, and hollandaise sauce on top ( a lactose intolerant nightmare), I asked for the omelet to be simply made in oil. When the food came the eggs came cooked raw, with cheese inside and sauce on top, along with a small side of lettuce. I ate the lettuce, then took the plate back to the chef and explained the problem. The chef then proceeded to tell me, that I had ordered too many modifications, and that he would serve the omelet the way he normally did. So I ended up paying $25 for a cup of coffee and 5 leaves of lettuce. The menu also has no description of what is on the actual meal, so your taking a gamble with what you order. Also very pricey for mediocre food at best.

WAIST OF TIME. Our order was taken within 5 minutes and we were told it would take 45 min for our meals to be brought to the table. Its been 1 hr 25 minutes My husband checked 3x to make sure our order was not lost or forgotten. This is our 1st (and last) time here. This ridiculous wait has ruined our experience. To add to our frustration the restaurant has cleared out so I dont understand the delay. Horrible service. Do NOT recommend. The couple next to us left 30 min ago and went down the street to NOLA. Hostess has no explanation and just refunded our meal.

Located in the building that used to house NOLAs; it appears to be an upscale French/American cafe. Coffee, water, napkins, & silverware is self serve. You order and pay at the counter. Menu tells you an automatic 20% tip will be added. Pros: Casual welcoming cafe, employees are friendly & responsive. Short menu board & expensive online menu available. Inside is clean and well kept, including the bathrooms. Eggs are fresh. Good music (old time jazz during brunch). Cons: Expensive for the quality of the food. Coffee smells good, but its so bitter, it must have been sitting awhile. Spudnuts were burned. Potatoes were overcooked & left an aftertaste. You have to get your own refills. Street parking (if youre lucky). Conversation is really loud (acoustics?). We frequently eat out and dont mind spending a lot for good food, but for the cost for 2 people for a basic brunch ($63), there are several places where the food is much better. Maybe they were having an off day, but I just dont see coming back. If youre going to add an automatic 20% tip, at least have someone serving fresh coffee at the table.

I stopped by this new establishment yesterday excited to give it a try but boy, what a mistake. Food- ok, service- THE WORST! Two young ladies and one gentleman, sassy as hell, had steak/eggs/2- steak was fatty and apparently the cook was aware cuz she apologized for it when she served it to me and later apologized for her rude behavior...said she was overworked and very tired. They graciously added their own 20% gratuity as well! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME....keep driving!

SO good! My husband kept trying to get me to come here for dinner, the idea of brunch at dinner didn t sound appealing but he raved about the food so I gave in. I was seriously mistaken, an omelette for dinner is heaven, at least the way they do it here. This definitely has French bistro vibes in the best way. The fries that were served with his burger were some of the best I ve ever had. A gin fizz to start followed by some bubbles really rounded it out. Super friendly staff as well. We went early on a Saturday evening and were the only party there so get with the program, San Antonio, brunch for dinner is a winner!

My friend and I stumbled upon this gem because of the delicious smells coming from this little building and the cute sign out front inviting us to come in for brunch. They have a small menu but it looks like they only offer food that they will wow people with. My friend got the French omelet and I got the Benedict. Honestly these were some of the best eggs and potatoes we have both ever had and if they can elevate such a simple basic ingredient, I think they have a great future ahead of them. The potatoes were so crispy and flavorful on the outside and having it paired with their lemony aoili made it so addictive. The kitchen layout was open and it was entertaining watching them all work in harmony so quietly. Drinks were also top notch, I cant wait to come back for their bloody Mary and to try their burger next time!

If you are looking for a microwaved egg sandwich, thrown out a window at you by a clown for under $2, you probably wont like this place. If you are looking for a place with great ambiance and food crafted by an owner and kitchen that care about quality, you should head on down. This is the type of place that would have a line out the door and people waiting for hours in citys like San Francisco and Portland. I swear to God, if this restaurant turns San Antonio into one of those cesspools I will retract this review immediately, but as for now, you should go try the eggs benedict and a coffee.
