A wonderful place to come and enjoy a date night experience, or have good live music environment, the staff are all very helpful and experienced. The food is incredible, the best steak Ive had hands down! The duck Diablo appetizer is our go to every time, the drinks are made properly and the aesthetics and atmosphere is top notch!

Don t support this restaurant. Saying the owners here could care less about any of their employees is a gross understatement .Its actually very sad being that the employees are what make this place so great. Food is very good but don t be surprised to see a new server with every visit because they tend to make staffing changes often without reason. 22 year wedding anniversary at the Grill on Calder! Steak didnt have any flavor. Service wasnt good. I mentioned that I read the reviews and Clarissa, who was my waiter got a little bit better. I understand it being a Saturday and nobody wants to work. Also Im black therefore she probably thought the wife and I were broke and couldnt afford to properly tip. Fortunately we dont have any of those problems. Although, it still had a nice atmosphere for a date night

First let me talk about our server, Clarise B. Clarise was so sweet, prompt and helpful. This was our first time to visit The Grill. Our food, AMAZING!! Hats off to the chef. Steak cooked perfect to our liking, amazingly seasoned and beautifully served on a delightful bed of garlic potatoes with a side of fresh veggies. Definitely recommend. Parking: Parking is good, we found a space right away.

We had the Ribeye ($38) and the Grilled Redfish ($32). The Ribeye was 12 oz and came with grilled fresh farm veggies and sweet mashed potatoes with some microgreens on top. The grilled resfish came with Cilantro Rice and fresh veggies with microgreens on top. Everything was exceptionally delicious. Waitress was very friendly. Very nice place. The bill was $90 for 2 dishes and 1 soda.

I have been to the Grill several times and it was very good. I took my friend for her birthday this week and my fish dish was terrible and i could not eat it. The fish was dry and overcooked and the vegetables were sliced like paper thin and no flavor. This was at lunch and i dont think the real chef was working that cooks at night. I spoke to the manager and she did nothing! At night the food was great. So disappointed and she didnt even comp my meal which was $33! Susan Reynolds

We all have eagerly awaited a top-tier dining establishment in Beaumont. Having visited this location under the previous two managements, I can confidently say that the new management has significantly elevated the experience and truly honored the menu. The fried avocado is an absolute must-try. The steaks are exceptional, accompanied by a superb sauce. Beaumont finally has a restaurant that offers a remarkable steak. We came here after hearing about a nice restaurant that opened here in Beaumont. We came for dinner and definitely exceeded expectations! We enjoyed the cocktails, duck breast, and stuffed flounder - everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly! I eat out frequently in Houston, and this was just as delicious as some restaurants there with a very reasonable price tag. Interior decor may be a little circa 2000s for the trendy crowd, but the food and friendly service make up for it. Cant wait to come back for live music on the patio!

We joined 5 friends for Valentines at the The Grill at Calder. The 7 of us had a variety of items and all were delicious. I had doubts about the fried Avocado, but it to was delicious. I had the ribeye, it was cooked to perfection and a nice size, served over potatoes with green beans. Delicious. I entire group was impressed, service was great and the chef worked with a member of our party with food allergies. We will be back. Thanks for bringing the Grill back to life. See you soon.

Loved it!! Just left and I can t say enough about how delicious the food was. The Pork Belly with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese was amazing. Just enough slow burn with the spices. I got the Duck and I was so impressed. Flavor was perfect. My ONLY complaint was the texture of the garlic mashed potatoes. Taste was good, but had a bit of a gritty texture. My husband got the ribeye with a side of chimichurri sauce and the entire thing was demolished. The rosemary red potatoes were delicious! All in all a wonderful experience. Server was super friendly and gave us recommendations when we were stuck between options. 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely be back. I want to try the mashed sweet potatoes next time.

Really enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere & the food was tasty. My table ordered drinks, appetizers, & entrees. The service was manageable. When it was time to close out, our group of 5 was charged an automatic 20% tip on our bill - which would ve been overlooked if it was the stated policy or if the service was on par. The menu had a written statement saying 8+ groups were to be charged the 20% 8+. Not only were groups of 5 not the written policy, but we never received an itemized bill to have known that it was already applied. It wasn t until I saw the listed tip options were 2%-5% that made me wonder if the tip was already applied. I love supporting local businesses, especially ones I enjoy, but it s greedy aspects like this that make me question the business owners integrity. Again, the issue is that it is a hidden policy. I politely gave the manager feedback to update menus & hopefully the next group of 5+ will be aware when visiting this restaurant.

Ive had the pleasure of dining at The Grill 5 times and each time has been a great experience. The food is delicious and unique with an amazing presentation. The prices are spot on and the service and ambiance are excellent. The wine list has a good selection of wines an the signature cocktails are delicious. The Four finger Pork Chop and the Filet were both amazing. Cooked to perfection and the sides are so tasty, The patio has live music on the weekends. We enjoy hanging out on the patio on a nice evening for Happy Hour. Be sure and get reservations as the place fills up fast.

I really want to love The Grill at Calder. I think there is so much potential. So I m leaving this feedback in hopes that a few items will get improved which will greatly change the customer experience. We ve been there for dinner, now for brunch. Drastically different experiences. This review is based on our brunch experience on Mother s Day. (I ll review dinner separately.) First, we were surprised to see that this was a buffet. A $38/person buffet. In all fairness, after the fact, my wife went on Facebook and found that it was advertised as such (presumably because it was Mother s Day). But sadly, no Benedicts or other menu items we were hoping to order. My feedback here is they could/should have given that heads-up when we made reservations as not all folks follow all restaurants where they dine on Facebook. Please train the staff. There are some basics such as frequently refilling waters which have been experienced each time. Also, clearing plates. We returned after another trip to the buffet to the same pile of dirty plates we left. I look over this at other buffets, but again, this is a very pricey buffet. Also, when bringing us half and half for the coffee it came in espresso mugs. No way to pour into our coffee cups without experiencing drips down those cups. And nothing to stir with as spoons aren t in the standard place setting here. Speaking of coffee, we never got a refill. Then when asking for a refill to-go , we were charged for extra coffees. Really? When your bill is already $160 for 4, we re getting nickel & dimed for another $4 in coffee? Then the buffet itself lids left on the hot food, with nowhere to put them and not sufficient space to set your plate down. So to get food you had to do this awkward dance of holding a lid and the plate while scooping the food. And not all of the food had serving spoons, so some spoons were getting used for different dishes. Again, just execute the basics. The food itself wasn t horrible. But it was nowhere near as good as their table service menu items, and was nowhere near the level that warranted the $180 I dropped for 4 people (including 1 mimosa, and my 4 coffees) before a tip. I will go back for brunch, when it s not a buffet, because I think this place has potential and they have given all indication they ll take feedback. The head chef (and I think part owner?) is very attentive and can be seen around the dining room. Get more consistent and this will be a good place.

So I tried to go check out The Grill at Calder on yesterday. I just wanted to try something new.. I was iffy but I m like hey we re here let s just try it out. My date wasn t really feeling it he said it smelled like salad & we couldn t smell the food from the entrance which made us both nervous. They have glass windows so we could see that there wasn t many people inside & they also have a patio area which only had 3 people occupying the space. Once we got inside the workers could see that we were standing there but everyone kept walking back n forth as if we weren t there, but still we waited to be seated. A lady finally comes up & asks did we have a reservation & we told her we did not. She then proceeds to tell us we could not be seated because it s reservation only. I saw on Facebook they were offering reservations but they did not say it was reservation ONLY. They definitely could have sat us & we would ve paid whatever the price was, they simply did not want to serve us. I 10/10 would not recommend & will never be back!!!!

I would have given 3 stars if not for the prices. If you are looking for a upscales dining experience, this place probably qualifies but the food was awful and REALLY overpriced. I dont mind expensive food, which is why I came. I got a cheese plate ( it has 2 tiny pieces of prosciutto and nuts and fruit that could have come from a bulk corner of kroger). Also ordered the fish and chips, it was not good ate less than half and the fries were underdone. The worse part was the roastedcauliflower. It seemed to be steamed a d it was vert tart...pretty disappointing

Absolutely amazing! We had the Tuna Tower, a filet with lobster, and blackened ribeye topped with Pontchartrain sauce. The med rare was perfectly cooked on both. I really cant say enough about the quality of our dishes plus the presentation is impeccable. The Perfect Margarita for me and a seasonal IPA for my husband topped it off perfectly. Our server was Martin and his knowledge of the dishes (and his enthusiasm about the dishes) made the evening a perfect package. We will be back for sure.

The appetizer special for the day, poke, is a Hawaiian version of seared ahi tuna and is extremely delicious. Then I got the Blackened Tilapia Pontchatrain which was divine and had one of the best sauces Ive ever had with two shrimp, lump crab, and some mushrooms on top. For dessert, I then had the chocolate tres leches which was a very chocolate-y version of the traditional tres leches and was very good. The staff are really nice and helpful and know the menu well.

We visited this establishment for a special occasion and we were extremely happy with everything. The food was superb the service was outstanding and our server was very knowledgeable about all of the offerings. The atmosphere was just right. I highly recommend this establishment for any occasion. This is a very nice place where you can have a great time with your couple. Either at the bar or the restaurant. The menu has a classy taste. Very good food and live music in the weekend.

This was the worst food Ive ever had for the price I paid. Our wedding anniversary was terrible. They werent busy at all with only three other tables but the waitress seated us right next to some yapping people. Not romantic in the least! Lamb had huge chunks of fat, calamari was bland, Chilean sea bass was mostly crust and very little fish at all, one of my grilled asparagus was very burnt, and weve had better mash potatoes out of a box. Will never return. In fact we skipped desert, paid $140, and left for another well known restaurant to finish our diner and anniversary. Mediocre service and subpar food. Thanks for absolutely nothing! Wish I could give zero star ratings.

Its a great spot if you sit outside at the grill area. Live music and good service. The dining room area is upscale and does not offer the same menu as outside. The menu is small so there isnt much to choose from. The drinks are great.

Was seated next to four other people when the restaurant was basically empty. Ordered an appetizer of calamari and it was ok but lacked flavor. I ordered the seabass and it was mostly crust and the bottom was soggy. Husband ordered the lamb and it was mostly fat. The mashed potatoes were bland and the grilled asparagus was burned. Husband ordered an old fashioned and it was poorly executed. Will not be back.

The Rack of Lamb was amazing and the wait staff was right on and very polite. Excellent place to go for an elegant evening. Although there was this couple who sat outside (just the other side of our window) the man took off his shoes and propped his bare feet in the next chair. Thank goodness there was glass between us and my view was the other direction. No fault of this restaurant but maybe the wait staff should keep an eye out for such things like that so they can keep the restaurant at a higher quality than fast food eat-in.

Dine inside for an intimate date night experience. Dine outside for a fun, relaxing happy hour. I love their cheese plate and wine selection. My husband loves the lamb and steaks. Great service. While we have brought our child to eat here with us, it s not the most kid friendly.

Had the Kobe beef bacon cheeseburger, it came served in a wooden plank and the veggies were some if the freshest Ive been served on a hamburger. The meat was cooked precisely to order and dont get me started on the bun! All I can say is outstanding, Codys would be proud!

Both my husband and I ordered a dishes that had fish. The fish was bad. We both returned after tasting it ( my husband had several bites) We ordered other dishes that were good. I was very disappointed that the manager nor the chef come out to apologize. The waitress was sweet and quickly took our new orders. By the time we got home my husband had to rush to the restroom with stomach problems. I did not have problems till the AM and not as bad.
