Got the 2 smash burger, wasnt awful wish the patty had more seasoning on it. The grilled onions, mushrooms, and bun were fantastic though. The curly fries were really well done. They also make their own inhouse spicy ketchup which was 10/10. I got an old fashion while waiting, the drink was really good. Not bad will try again for something else like the brisket jalapenos or one of their other sandwiches to see.

Great food and decent beer selection. We were pleasantly surprised that this was definitely above average bar food and the service was great. The thing to remember is that this IS a bar. If youre going expecting to be able to have a conversation, dont; the nose is loud. That said, there is an outdoor area thats much quieter. Parking: Strip mall parking lot.

I had a terrible experience at 90 proof The service was incredibly slow despite the place being nearly empty. My husband and I are regulars . When we walked in some girls had two chairs leaned forward which is what you do when you go to the restroom or outside to smoke. My husband went up to them and asked if there was anyone sitting there?. They said yes they were holding the seats for their friends who were 20 minutes away ! Chris the manager , was rude and dismissive when we pointed this out. He said it was first come first serve . I told him so I can come and flip all the chairs to hold them for my friends and he responded yes ! The girls friends didn t show up until an hour later ! So annoying we love this place and the food is amazing I was honestly surprised because the staff there is amazing and always super friendly !

I stopped by 90 Proof Bar & Grill on a Sunday afternoon for a relaxing afternoon of drinks and food. What made my experience truly exceptional was the outstanding service from the bartender! Despite being the only staff member on duty, she expertly managed the bar and the entire restaurant with ease. Her warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. Shes a true asset to the establishment and a testament to great customer service. Kudos to her for a job well done!

April 2024 Update: Stopped in this evening. Service marked improved, specifically tonight. Ms. Rosie was running things tonight. 100% better than any previous experience Ive had there since original review or since. If 90 Proof cloned Ms. Rosie, Id go far more frequently. Order was taken quickly. Food came to table hot to touch, not lukewarm. She was attentively and quickly. Was very impressed. Ms. Rosie - 5 stars Food - 4.5 stars Overall for place - 4 stars, improved over last rating, due to this evenings much improved experience. Original review: Stopped in for lunch. Not crowded. Music at a decent decibel level (typically too loud to have conversation regardless of time of day. Likely just me getting old. Food was good. Burger and curly fries are fantastic. Spicy chicken on a stick was tasty, but the bun was almost refrigerator cold. Didnt marry well with the otherwise very good slab of chicken. If bun were even room temp, would have been fantastic. Other than being cold, the bun was soft and tasted good. Service is what keeps me from frequenting the bar more than I do. I just always seems slow. Today I was waited on quickly (unusual, as Ive walked out more than once for being there 20-40 mins without acknowledgement). I was one of 4-5 sets of people that were there. One waitress/hostess. She wasnt busy. So I see my chicken on a stick at the window and there it sat. I thought about walking to pick it up myself and would have gladly done so if they called to pick it up because the waitress was really busy. She wasnt. The burger and fries came out hot and delicious. The spicy chicken on the stick was far closer to room temp than fryer hot. I wanna love this place. The potential is so great. Its so close to home and the food is good, but their service typically leaves so much to be desired, its often frustrating to go. Today was less than ideal, but far better than a few other times Ive been there. This could be a 4.5 star or higher hangout if they just got their service together.

Food is amazing, and atmosphere it s awesome a lot of chill people, however service was terrible from a bartender a middle age Hispanic guy with short hair I couldn t get his name just very sassy and rude. If you don t know him good luck getting a drink, the other bartenders the petite girl and the guy with long hair made it up for the night, they were on top of drinks and being really nice. Hopefully they couch some of their staff in customer service to make their guests feel more welcome.

Our favorite happy hour stop! (And we usually end up there long after that) Monday night karaoke with Bobby is AWESOME. Matt and Geni are ALWAYS on point with service. EXCELLENT service. Went there Saturday for a late night drink and a bite to eat.. We sat at bar for over 10 minutes, while 2 bartenders didnt even have common courtesy and decency to acknowledge us as they simply walked in front of us. Simply AWFUL service and experience. The owners of this place must be doing great and making tons of money. If this type of service keeps up, they are going to be losing out on more new clients. Very disappointing.

Lunch food here was excellent! Our server T was so friendly and very professional. Shes definitely an asset for this business. 2 of us each had the 2Smash Burger with fries (Happy Hour menu), and 1 person had the pound of wings (on special price today). We all shared the made to order chips and salsa. 2 Happy Hour beer. Total including tip was right around $50 for 3. We left plenty full of delicious food. Atmosphere- well its dark, loud and has way too many TVs playing the same channel. But hey.. its a bar but it was nice and clean inside. They do offer an outside area to sit and drink as well. But, it was just too hot at noon for us. I didnt see any low tables or chairs (for disabled or elderly to easily sit). All the tables were very tall with tall chairs. Wheelchair accessibility: Didnt see ANY low tables. All the tall chairs had to be climbed into to sit at the very tall tables.

First time in San Antonio and the staff made our trip memorable! We had a slight issue with our order and the staff handled it extremely well. Autumn, our server was very sweet, personable, and patient. Matt, the lead of that shift and bartender, was very attentive and make sure we were COMPLETELY satisfied with everything by the end of our meal. Mox, one of the cooks, personally came out to ensure we were okay and left a lasting impression with his charismatic spirit and helpful hand. All of the staff was eager to assist with anything from refills to questions about the menu. You could feel a family atmosphere among the staff and a sense a pride for where they work. Sister bar to The Rusty Nail, this place is newer and I think still finding their own feel. Just like TRN the food is amazing (smoked parmesan wings!!) and the staff is great. Just doesnt quite feel as worn in as TRN yet. And its a little hard to get to off of 90. But once the area is built up I think it will be a hot spot.

My first time visiting this place since it opened. I wanted to wait a bit until they got their feet under them. Guess I didnt wait long enough. The bar service was absolutely horrible! I stood there for almost 10 minutes before having my drink order taken. The girl walked by me like 10 times and I was the only one waiting at the time. She only took my order after a regular friend of hers came and stood next to me and started talking to him. After finally getting the drinks for my wife and myself they were disappointing. The mixed drink was basically soda with a squirt of alcohol and the beer was almost room temperature. Go only if youre just desperate to get out of the house.

This was our first time going to this bar. Since we live so close, we decided to try it instead of driving across town. The food was good, and mix drinks were good. Especially the salsa for the chips. The overall atmosphere was good, and the location was clean.

Shut up with your brisket-flavored popcorn!! How did you keep this a secret for so long?! We were pleasantly surprised walking into Karaoke on a Monday night a couple of weeks ago. My wife, Jennifer, and a friend of ours (Orlando) took over the mic. Last night we tried it again and brought more friends! We had a blast! Awesome bar I was in the area and took a chance on this place glad I did bartender Gabby took care us beautifully. She was awesome! Recommended southwest eggrolls as appetizers and omg they were wonderful !!! Definitely making this a regular stop!!! I love this place. If you want something besides Bud Light, they have a decent selection on tap. They have a nice patio. I tend to avoid weekends. The music is obnoxiously loud in such a small place. The food is far above normal bar standards, though.

I m not one to write reviews wether they are good or bad but I had to shed some light on this place. Love the fact that this place is so close to my home and yet I still felt at home being there. The staff is so welcoming and nice. Matt the bartender was very attentive and super quick. We never had to get out of our seat once sitting at the table! The bar aesthetic is gives you a bit of the city vibe but in the country . Lol. I definitely recommend this place to have a drink at.

If you sit at the bar, you get friendly service for sure. But it is not speedy at all. We ordered food and went to patio which was very small but breezy. We notified the bartender we were heading outside and asked how we would be notified and he reassured us they would find us. 20 min later, a different bartender brought out cold food and apologized saying they thought we were heading back inside. She then asked if she could bring us more drinks and we trusted in her but the drinks never came. Other than that, it has potential for sure
