Been awhile since I have been here. Smaller portions, higher price. Service was poor, items brought out then was told was not all I ordered. Eventually after 4 times all was given to me. I almost told them to take it all back because most was cold . Oh well , make sure you get what you order l at once update: 4 October,2024. New items on menu. Service is ok. The only issue was that it was extremely cold and the manager refused to change the thermostat. High 80s means the customers wont be wearing multiple layers of clothing. Thankfully the rest of the staff was top notch and understood the discomfort of the customers. Be kind!

Where to begin. This is the second time this week Ive gone to cracker barrel and had a horrible experience. The GM Alan and Eric, the other l manager on duty, are both so unconcerned with customer service. Imagine the kind of people that are rude, sarcastic and they do that with a smile on their face while making fun of you. Its a wonder this place is still open. How does a business run when the food is mediocre, the managers dont give a damn about customer service, and somebodys not doing their job cleaning the place? I dont get it I used to love cracker barrel, I love the store I would go there for that southern charm and the home cooked meal feel about it. Now it seems like a place just devoid of customer service. I almost never leave bad reviews, but genuinely the food has gone downhill, the service is always slow and backed up, even when they are slow! The portion sizes are so much smaller than they were. The chicken fried steak I had tasted like it was from a TV dinner! My mashed potatoes were so bland and the gravy was congealed and cold. I have a lot more to say about this place but honestly I dont want to spend another minute thinking about these jokers.

The two stars are a direct result of the menu change. If youve been a long-time customer, you wont be happy with the changes. CRACKER BARREL: Do you want to get people to come into your stores? Stay the course, quit trying to entice folks to come in by changing your menu it only make loyal customers angry. How about advertising on SOCIAL media platforms. And if you really want younger folks charge $8.00 for specialty coffee theyll best your door down.

My Grams and I went there for the first time in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised at how well everything tasted from being fresh to the unique flavor of the dishes. The apple mimosa wasnt too ad either. Service was exceptionally well. We will be making that our new going out place.

Our waitperson was a newby, and forgot napkins/straws, but brought then when we caught her attention. The fried chicken was just OK. The chicken & dumplings were terrible; flavorless, flat flour squares and less than 2 ounces of chicken. There were no vegetables to enhance the flavor and no choice of sides with that selection.

Pancakes way too thin and bacon was burnt. I was given another piece of bacon, but I was really disappointed in the meal. Others in my party had mix ups on their orders as well. The seating staff were excellent. Parking: Lots of space and areas for persons with disabilities. Kid-friendliness: Multiple children were in the group and attention was made for age.

Easy to get to right off the highway although you do have to thread your way through the parking lots of a couple of other businesses how to get there. Its a standard, typical, general purpose, run-of-the-mill cracker barrel. If you like Cracker barrel, youll like this one. The food tastes good, the staff is competent and courteous, the business is clean. It doesnt stand out one way or the other. Parking: Parking lot around the perimeter of the building and the perimeter of the pavement. Shared with several other businesses, can be a mild Adventure getting in and out.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience in Cracker Barrel. Adam and Alexis (servers for our table) made the dining experience extremely nice. They were even extremely nice to all of the other tables in our area which they were servers for as well. Definitely one of two of the most incredible experiences Ive ever had at the Cracker Barrel in Temple, TX !!! Parking: What can I say. Parking is parking. There was plenty of parking on Aug 26, 2024. Most of the time theres not close and easy parking. Probably because people are impressed with whats going on in there !!! Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly. Sometimes a little too kid friendly. i.e., the toys and the sweets and kid hands level !!! All good though. Grandkids love the place too.

I m picky. Bacon was undercooked. I like it crispy. It was chewy. Pancakes were doughy. Again under cooked. Eggs had a taste like they were cooked with another order. Bits of onion were mixed in the eggs. Wonder if they got mixed with someone s hash brown casserole. Was the order rushed by the cook? Stop changing the menu. Bring back Eggs in a Basket and stop charging for regular hash browns. Your Hash Brown Casserole has more ingredients and is not that good. Who s running things? College kids that never worked a real job before? Let people that have worked their way up run things. Are more aware of customers wants and needs.

Cracker Barrel 08-19-24 Had lunch with a couple of my Grandsons Here. Friendly staff and nice dining area. We tried the Biscuit Beignets. They are more of a Fried Biscuit. Very good but not a Beignet! We had 1 GRANDMAS SAMPLER PANCAKE BREAKFAST Two Pancakes, two eggs and a sampling of Bacon, Sausage and Ham. With a side of Hash Browns and Pure Natural Syrup. Served hot and fresh. 2 GRANDPAS COUNTRY FRIED BREAKFAST Two farm fresh eggs, Hash Browns, Country Fried Steak with Sawmill Gravy. Includes Biscuits n Gravy. All served hot and fresh. It s been a while since I ve been here. All in all I ll be back. Food was flavorful and good. We will be back.

Not sure why this restaurant gets great reviews. Maybe these are old? But currently not good quality and manager is arrogant and not concerned about customer satisfaction. Went non-busy time and waited long time for poor quality food with little portion ( not characteristic of CB). Staff acknowledged recent problems with timeliness and running out of ingredients. Hesitated to complain.waitress very nice and ensured no problem .Manager handled problem poorly and charged us anyway when we were told would be credited /discounted . He denied any issue with food and embarrassed us with his arrogant behavior. We left directly and will not return to this location.

Went today, 4pmish. Walked into bathroom first(mens). It looked very clean, but it smelled like someone mopped with straight water. Should have gone with my gut, but decided to stay. Our waiter was very good at first, but once food was there, never offered us refills. My wife was out of tea. I didnt realize it, or Id have gotten up and refilled it. Cracker Barrel has always been our go to. Were new to Temple, TX. I ordered breakfast, and my wife had dinner. My salt cured ham had a weird taste, and my French toast tasted like the cook used the same spatula for frying meat as well as French Toast. It had a burnt bacon or meat taste. Needless to say, I wasnt impressed at all. And, I wont be back to Temple Cracker Barrel. I do see theres another semi close to us.

Im in town for work and I m literally sitting out in front of the restaurant writing this review. The host set me at a dirty table, then came back to clean it. I asked if I could move to the table by the window because I was working and wanted my screen away from view (the space was for 4 and the restaurant was not full maybe 9 tables occupied). She stated the table was not available. I set there for 10 minutes no one came to take my order nor let me know they will be right with me. After sitting there the host set someone at the table I had requested that was not available . (No one had been seated since myself). At this time it had been about 15 minutes, I just gathered my things and left. Very disappointed

When we travel, Cracker Barrel has been a frequent stop for breakfast. Sadly, since Covid, a lot of changes came into the menu, resulting in fewer options. Then came the affects of inflation, portion sizes visibly different. On our last visit at this particular location, the biscuits were about half the size they used to be. We still stop on a rare occasion rather than some fast food place. But these restaurants are not what they used to be.

Want to give a shout out to the staff! Yesterday my parents and I were there when the storm hit, they handled it perfectly and in a very positive manner. Our waitress was so nice she made sure we were okay because I had my 7 month old with us. She was so sweet and calming. Way to go Cracker Barrel!

For the second time, my husband and I walked out without even being acknowledged. Both times we were sitting there for over 10 minutes. As we were sitting there the second time, we were in a highly visible spot, and saw no less than 6 servers, but not one came to greet us. I understand that busy times are stressful on waitstaff, but some sort of acknowledgment would have been appreciated. The waitstaff needs to be better trained.

It was great, the only thing the waitress said you didnt offered blueberries with my French toast because you didnt have that. But fruit cup had them and the table next to me had blueberry pancakes. Just wondering why she didnt want me to have blueberries on my french toast. Otherwise everything was great. Cashier was awesome.
