Food couldve been better on season and taste wise. Gave it a 3rd time meets the charm. Not a big fan of how they handle their online orders. Make sure youre there EXACTLY on the time of the pick up order if not theyll throw it away. Thought it was busy as it shows on Google and online etc but when picking up an order is only 2 people in there.

I waited a long time to get my food. I guess the kitchen got the orders mixed because two tables that came after me were eating before I got my order. Order flautas. Paid almost $15 for three flautas a little bit of rice and a little bit of beans. No sour cream or anything else. Won t be returning. A little expensive for the amount of food and slow.

Popped in for a quick bite and so very glad I did! I wasnt starving so ordered only 2 chicken flautas (no rice, nor beans.) The flautas were deeeelish! The chicken was well seasoned, and the flautas were fresh and well fried. They came with some lettuce and tomato and a little sour cream. VERY GOOD! Their warm salsa is tasty as well but could use a little heat (jalapeno). The atmosphere is fine and the place is quiet; service is fast and friendly. Prices online and on their menu board are a bit outdated but the menu you receive when seated has correct pricing AND the prices are still very reasonable. You can bet Ill be back!

First time eating Mexican in Dallas. I ve had way better back home in Mo. i sat for 20 minutes at a dirty table (because that s all that was available) before even being greeted or given a menu. Their queso is velveta cheese! They soaked my chimichanga in it even after I complained about the cup I ordered for my chips and told them I didn t like it. So disappointed. All I wanted was some authentic Mexican. It was so Americanized they should really let people know it s just Tex-Mex. And I ve had way better Tex Mex. What a waste of money and time. I couldn t even eat it. And if you order sweet tea it s out of a fountain not freshly brewed. Which was my fault because I should have asked. Trust me find somewhere else!

I never leave reviews but this place is great! I tried La Salsa Verde taqueria nearby and was told they were the best tacos in the area, WRONG! Gio s is extraordinary! Amazing and clean atmosphere. We didn t dine in but came in to pick up. Service was fast and friendly. I had the burrito Classico meal with salad and fries and my friend has the cheese and chicken quesadilla with salad and fries. My hubby and I were working in the area and decided to find a very small Mexican restaurant to eat at, and we found this amazing place!!! The food was SO GOOD, especially the ground beef tacos with lime squeezed on top, and the service was impeccable!! But the thing we were most impressed by was how CLEAN it was!!! We are so used to trying places and looking around to see dust everywhere, but it was obvious that they actually pay attention to the details, not just the simple surface things. Thats not something you see very much anymore. And again, the server was on point. We got the 20 taco special, which he asked if we wanted some to go, and he even staggered the to go order tacos so that they were fresh when we left. If you want a delicious meal on a clean restaurant with attentive service, but isnt packed like the larger restaurants, then this is your place. We will definitely be back when were in the area!!!

I ve supported this restaurant many a times and this will be the last time. I was trying to spend my money with a local business rather than going to Shake shack however I feel like they would ve appreciated my money more. I stood at the counter for 3 minutes before I was acknowledged by anybody and I made eye contact with four different employees. This is not the first time that I have been ignored in this establish, moving forward I ll give my hard earned money to business owners that look like me. First time here and this review is only based on what we had today. We got their birria tacos and the chicharon and cheese pupusa. Ive never had pupusas before but I was hoping that I couldve tasted a bit more pork in there. I recall cheese but not much pork. But it was still tasty with the pickled cabbage slaw topped with their salsa. I must say that I really liked their salsa! It had a light smokey taste. Birria tacos were ok. However, I will be back to try their tacos! Other table had a huge platter and they looked good!

Hands down the best tacos in Carrollton! My absolute favorites are the Barbacoa and Al pastor tacos and of course the Birria tacos!! The breakfast tacos are also great - my go tos are the chorizo/egg/cheese as well as the potato/egg/cheese. Lupita and Gio (the owners) are also so delightful and kind. Every time I go eat there, we end up chatting and talking about our days. Definitely come here and try out Gio s Taqueria. You will not be disappointed at all.

One of the best Taquerias I ve found. My go to, fresh tortillas are great, barbacoa hands down the best I ve tasted, and I ve been to a lot of places. The marinate they cook it in is very flavorful. Popusas is Salvadorian approved, got the chicarron and cheese. Prices, very good prices per taco. There s nothing negative I can say only that you can t buy the tortillas they make there. This time my wife found the place. She is starting to enjoy the reviews too. I hope this helps. ________________________________________ Food: Salsa - The salsa wasnt as chunky as I usually like it. It was watery. But, it was delicious. I dont care what I thought salsa should be. This is what salsa should be. The flavor was great. It wasnt very spicy. And it was served warm. But I are it up. Bistek tacos - The Bistek tacos were good. They werent as good as the pork tacos. Ive had better steak tacos. If I come back Ill be eating the pork tacos and crossing my fingers that they had the pork tamales. Pork tacos - The pork tacos were the best thing I tried. I dare say, the best thing on the menu. They were out of pork Tamales so maybe next time on this. But my wife and I both loved these. Rice - The rice was traditional Mexican style rice. This was a very nostalgic flavor. But they didnt make a statement here. Beans - The beans were great. These was better than traditional beans. Im not sure what they add but it had great flavor. My wife and I both agreed on this Elote - My wife got this item. I am not a fan. She said it was okay but not great. She said the corn tasted like it was canned corn. She likes corn off the cob. ________________________________________ Review: I give Gios Taqueria a 8.2 out of 10. I would absolutely come back here. The service was great. The atmosphere was exactly what I expect from a Mexican restaurant. The food was great.

I ordered a few tacos from them and they were AMAZING! It wasnt a tex-mex taco it was actually authentically created. I enjoyed every last bite and will be ordering again.

Awesome little spot! We came in to Dallas for a quick small vacation. On our way out and back home I was wanting some good breakfast tacos before heading back on our long journey. This place hit the spot. It was a quick little find browsing through the restaurants in the direction we were headed and Im glad I found it. Very friendly, service was great too.

If youre looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place. We ordered takeout and everything tasted great. We did have to heat everything up but not the fault of the restaurant. We ordered a few items, the most noteworthy for me was the barbacoa taco and the freshness of the guacamole. The torta was good but was lacking just a little on the flavor.

First time trying them. Wanted some pupusas and tamales. Got the to go order; when we got home to eat the food was all burnt. The tamales smelled like a guy dirty arm pit; couldnt even eat them. Im pregnant on top of everything so my smell is very high in detail. The pupusas were burnt and soggy- so I had to pick through it. Were so hungry and spent $20 on everything and it was not good at all. First and last time going to this place. Dont waste your money.
