If you have nerve had mochi would highly recommend trying it here with the ice cream. The mango one was very flavorful. The was amazing and very good and the ramen omg really good. We had like 3 appetizers gozas and you can get them 3 different ways we got them pan-fried. Takoyaki if you want to try octopus and it not be fishy would definitely recommend trying it here. They have sodas Pepsi products also Japanese sodas. Was really a good experience am definitely going back. The baja roll was good has fresh jalapeños outside and inside. So if you cant handle spice then dont get it but arent stingy with the roll and fillings.

Ordered to go and the Yakisoba was dry and all stuck together. The tonkatesu ramen you could clearly taste the tap water that was used to make the broth. For how expensive this place is I would expect them to use better water

If ya ll don t want outsiders moving to Texas, all you have to do is tell them how bad the ramen is. This place served water that tasted like it had been stored in a dirty bucket in the sun for years and used that same water for the ramen. It was inedible for me.

Great looking place, great service, and good food appearance. Taste was laking tho. I lived in Japan and tried many places in TX and several other states. Hands down atmosphere and customer service were immaculate. But broth flavor is 80%of the Ramen. Noodles were good too.

I visit this restaurant quite often and am always happy with the food and service and have tried most things on the menu. My personal favorites items are the spicy tuna roll, teriyaki crispy chicken, and the black garlic ramen. The service is always good. All the servers are nice and make sure to get you exactly what you would want. The manager always comes and checks on us to make sure we are enjoying our food. The food always comes out in a timely manner and is always nice and fresh.

They have lots of options and its always super tasty! Each time, we manage to get too much food as everything sounds so delicious and we like trying to try as much as we can. The staff is super friendly and they keep checking in on ya. They are all so happy and cheerful. The owner has chatted with us several times and offered to make any changes we would like as I have food allergies. Excellent place and atmosphere. Definitely stop in. Worth the visit!!

All the noodles were over cooked, the steamed vegetables were undercooked, the only good food that was properly made was the fried food. Their cold sake was room temperature and their warm tea was cold. We had high expectations and got completely disrespected. They completely disrespected the entire Japanese food culture.

I went to this place on the second day of the show and this was probably the worst restaurant that I went to on this trip the service was slow the food took a long time to cook I had the chicken teriyaki with steak and the steak was overcooked and the chicken was dry so bad experience there and our waitress was not very helpful she forgot our order and she forgot her drink order so she had to come back and ask again and it got even worse when our celebrities came in to eat since we were paying for their meal that night they focused more on the celebrities than us so hopefully its celebrities had a good night but we sure as hell didnt and also the place was small for all of us so next time we will not be coming here the only reason we came here was because were trying to get this restaurant as a sponsor and we got kind of a small discount but they had to call the boss man and verify and he had to call back cuz he forgot LOL

The manager Alvin came to us a few times, and at one point noticed it was a bit cold by our table and adjusted the AC to make it more comfortable, and then checked to make sure it was better. The food was also phenomenal - everything came quickly, was hot and fresh and tasted great. Highly recommend eating here.

Nice clean establishment. Speedy service. Friendly staff. Food..was average. I ordered the fried rice. It was plentiful with lots of pork, onion, and carrots but I felt it was also oily. The crispy chicken was crispy and had a nice texture. The ramen looked like spaghetti noodles in broth in my opinion. The broth has a weird smell to me. Overall, pretty good eats.

Wonderful atmosphere and I enjoyed the piano music very much. The waitress was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food was not as lovely as the vibe. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and Karaage Chicken. Got the Karaage first, was pretty bland and mostly dry, so I had to use the sauce they provided, which helped a lot. Unfortunately 1 of them had a very large bone in it, in which I basically just ate dough and barely in chicken for that piece. Karaage shouldnt ever have bone in it. They told me, sometimes it has bone in it... They need to put that into their menu if thats the case, because it is NOT normal. The Chicken Katsu Curry came, and the first thing I noticed was the curry itself looked more like soup, and unfortunately, it was basically soup. Even worse, there wasnt really much flavor at all. Did they have frozen vegetables mixed in with a lot of water and something, I have no idea. Its not curry. The Chicken Katsu itself was surprisingly very crispy and tasted fine, albeit a little bit drier than I would have liked. I couldnt really enjoy the steamed rice because normally youd mix the rice with curry and chicken, but I couldnt really do that because mixing the soup and rice was already painful. Perhaps I should have gotten ramen or chicken teriyaki, but I surely wasnt expecting bone in my karaage, nor was I expecting soup instead of curry.

I found the food pretty whelming here, neither over, nor under. I would not order either of the dishes I got here again (the San Angelo sushi roll, and the crispy chicken dinner). The beef in the roll was really tough, and the chicken was rather chewy. The salad I had was good though. The service here was very good, and they were very attentive the whole time I was dining in. Overall, it was okay, but I think Id be unlikely to come back on my own.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place is mediocre at best. This is the most caucasian tasting Asian food Ive ever eaten. The dumplings were so over-steamed that I couldnt use chopsticks or a fork to pick them up, they fell apart trying to eat them. The young, tender edamame must be young in dog years, because it was stringy and tough. The curry chicken cutlet was reminiscent of public school cafeteria food. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

The person on the phone said that they couldnt do anything about it and that we couldnt speak to a manager because there wasnt one there and he didnt have a number for anyone to speak to us to resolve the issue... He then hung up the phone and blocked our calls... Never have I ever seen such horrible customer service

I went here once with the wife. It took them nearly an hour to prepare our food, and it tasted terrible. It was poorly prepared, had low quality ingredients (the veggies seemed like a microwaved frozen veggie mix), and the staff was inattentive/incompetent. I am much happier with the price and the quality of the food at Señor Changs. Hopefully they put this place out of business.

VERY pricey for the quality of food they are providing. This place is a more expensive, less tasty, Panda Express. Employees were not very nice either.

The ramen was very good! We got the mitsu and naruto ramen and they were delicious. The staff was friendly and the establishment was clean. The only bad thing was the mochi which I was not fond of but my girlfriend loved.

House of Teriyaki is a wonderful establishment. I had their signature Naruto Ramen which allows for your pick of broth and it was amazing. The servers were very kind and knew their stuff. The food was quick to come out and give you the option of american or japanese utensils. The most authentic Japanese flavor in town. My only co.plaint is not enough parking but they deliver.

Prices have more than doubled and quality of food has significantly gone down, use to to be the most authentic, I don t know if they switched owners but it has changed significantly. Ramen noodles are from a package instead of being made in store, not worth $20 for a ramen just because it has Naruto in the name. Shame it s gone down hill.

Not impressed at all with the ramen. Ordered it with Japanese curry and the whole dish lacked flavor. It wasn t revolting, but the menu and reviews promised something a little better than what I was served.

Only ramen joint in San Angelo. The ramen was not bad with exception of the broth being oily. I prefer they used leek instead of green onion. The tare was just oily without flavor and the noodle too firm for my liking. Loved the ajitame, it was well executed. I did have the option to add spiciness to my ramen which was a wonderful addition. Services was friendly. Overall, decent ramen, but don t expect It to be like Japan.

As close to Japan as you can get in Texas Graded on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being worst and 5 being amazing. Time ordered: 1100 Presentation: 2 out of 5 Flavor: 4 out of 5 Quickness: 5 out of 5 (10 minute wait) Price: $16ish Dish ordered: Misou Ramen and Takoyaki. (I also tried Chicken Katsu Curry at another point but not added in this total) Order Method: Pick Up I will start by saying I was stationed in Japan for 4 years and in that time I have sampled multiple dishes from that country. From wagyu steak to shark fin soup. Any Asian themed restaurant I visit in San Angelo is usually compared to how close they can get it to that country of origin. I am very critical of any place that puts Japense in their list of dishes. I got out of the military in 2012 and since that time I have been searching for a restaurant that can get as close as possible to an actual bowl of Japanese Ramen. There was this one place I always went to with my friends called Ramen Sora. The dish I always ordered was Spicy Misou Ramen. I have tried multiple places all over texas and different areas. Closest one yet was a place in Austin. Then House of Teriyaki came to town. I was quite skeptical at first. The inside decorations does not really give it a Japanese feel. It felt like I was sitting inside a freebirds with a new coat of paint and nothing was done to change the restaurant at all to give it that feel. However, the food was on point. The Takoyaki (Octopus balls) was ALMOST the way it would have been from a street vendor in japan. However there are a few minor inconsistencies in terms of texture and flavor. Then there was the ramen, I had to see what the spice bomb was about and it truly gave me the spicy misou ramen. I disliked the pickled ginger or adding corn as that was not what normally goes in a bowl of ramen. Usually its thinly diced green onions and bean sprouts. The flavor I had been looking for was there though! I tried other ramen bowls that just seemed like ways to americanize it. They were good, but the noodles were always the same. I may or may not be correct but it seems like the noodles are of the instant variety. In Japan they make the noodles themselves. Regardless it was great. The Chicken Katsu Curry was good. however, curry sauce should be thick and runny not wattery. They got all the flavors right but again the presentation was lackluster. Curry should go across the rice like a Syrup. The chicken was also quite dry. I enjoyed the dish and its flavor, but its still not as authentic. Feedback: You guys are like...so close to being just like a restaurant I would eat at in Japan. Try to make the inside of your restaurant feel like you are walking into Japan (Take a note from your neighbor Nakamuras). Some decorations and things of that nature would be wonderful. Try to get as close as you can to the actual Japanese dish, do something about your wattery curry if you can. Try to get other authentic japanese dishes like Omurice and beef bowls (Those are so easy to make and just as delicious) I love the restaurant and eat there when I miss Japan, but you guys can do better. Overall Score 4 out of 5 TLDR: Almost like authentic Japanese, but some improvements could be made.
