Wow! Wasabi brought it; the sushi, the service, and the vibe! We accidentally walked into one of the coolest restaurants in Tyler. The music was an indie fans dream and Robert was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu and top picks. We literally have already planned our new trip to Wasabi and what we want to try next. The portions are HUGE and SO fresh. The sauces that were paired with our sushi were perfection! #GoogleGal

My husband and I dine here frequently and love it. Weve always had great service and the sushi is the best in town. My go to is the cucumber wrap, and my husband loves the wasabi roll. As an appetizer we always get the tuna tower. The atmosphere is spacious and relaxing.

Me and my family were out celebrating an event and Ms.Kelsey took amazing care of us. She had a big section to herself and had big parties. She did an amazing job with bringing a wonderful experience to me and the family. We did not have to ask her once for any refills, she had made sure we were enjoying everything, and she gave us just awesome customer service. Thank you Kelsey for celebrating with us and taking such great care of us! Food was absolutely delicious!!!

First time to eat at this establishment on a Friday, having made reservations for 7:30 on a Tuesday. Arrived at 7:15 expecting to be seated by 7:30, but was told there would be a half hour delay. With my family in tow, 5 adults, 3 children and one infant, I had asked to speak with the manager Joseph. After speaking Joseph and expressing my discontent regarding the delay, Joseph assured me that my family and I would have a table by the reservation time and Joseph came through. I could see the stress in his face, along with his peers because they were getting hammered with customers. Despite the overwhelming demand we were well taken care of by Joseph himself as well as the hostess. An awesome sushi dinner was provided to us with all of the garnishments and drinks. The server assured that we had drink refills regularly as well as asking how our dinner was. I pulled Joseph aside after we had completed our dinner and thanked him for going above and beyond to keep us satisfied and is because of his professionalism and service that I will recommend Wasabi to anyone, including returning myself. Food was excellent with the service to match. Parking: Park by the hotel if you dont mind a short walk.

I adore this place to pieces. The building itself, the atmosphere as soon as you step in, the people, the food that you can tell is made with truly good and fresh ingredients. Not even sure how the competitors are still open for business when this place exists. 10/10 bring your friends. Tell your family.

We stopped in for an adult beverage and share a roll. ROBERT was our server. He was PHENOMENAL!! He asked about preferences and made beverage suggestions accordingly. When he found out we were just passing through, he made suggestions for local sights to see...if we had time, or for next time. I told him that if Tyler has a full-service hotel...he needs to apply for a concierge position. We shared the Tyler Texas Roll, It was SO tasty, with a great combination of flavors. Decor seems to be a work in progress. Some areas have a Japanese feeling, but others gave the feeling of being a former Italian restaurant, based on the artwork. Additionally, the restroom needs attention. I had no way to dry my hands. All in all, we rate it high and will return to try other menu items.

This was the first time my wife and I ate here. I had the Kung Pao with shrimp. My wife had the Kung Pao with scallops. In addition we ordered the spring rolls, the panic roll, and the Superman Burrito. Both of our Kung Paos were ok but nothing to brag about. The spring rolls tasted like they came out of a box and then heated up. The panic roll had no flavor to it except for the jalapeño on top. The Superman Burrito was tasteless, an abomination, an insult to sushi masters, and should be taken off the menu altogether. The only reason this is getting a two star is because of the atmosphere. Will not be returning.

We had 2 sushi rolls, noodles with shrimp, egg drop soup, and pepper chicken, and it was so good. We also ordered 2 shots, beer, and 2 sodas, and we left there spending about $100 for the three of us. I feel its very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of food you receive. First the waitress was very nice. Understood that I had 2 separate orders and I had two separate credit cards that I would be paying each order for. However, the chef/manager decided that it was all one order and I was paying with two credit cards and he was going to charge me extra % for the use of two cards. He was not very nice in his manner or tone... After straightening him out. I told him that I didnt appreciate his tone or manner and he just shrugged his shoulders and took the payments. This was already understood by the waitress because she wrote it on two separate tickets. He is an azzhole and should not be dealing with the customer if he is going to treat them like schit. NOW AS FAR AS THE FOOD IS CONCERNED : *hot sour soup... I guess it depends on what chef makes it but its never consistent in hot or sour equally balanced... Nor do they use enough of accoutrements that supposed the soup ie: wood ear mushroom, bean curd, bamboo shoots, etc. Becareful and look at your ticket and see if they charge you for the fried wantons for your soup.. Which are free in the restaurant. Given for this. *Got the rice free sushi if youre diabetic like myself this is the best option for satisfying youre sushi indulgence. Highly recommend... Have tried all of the rice free sushi rolls you cant go wrong with either choice. Given for this. Was not very happy how it was packaged for transport as it was a to go order. But this is like my 8th time to eat here. As I like to test a restaurant at least 3 times before I rate it, just to give them a chance. Unless the first time is so agregious it has to be put out there. Please try them theyre menu is fabulous.

Very disappointing. We chose to have our food delivered and after waiting one hour and being reassured that it would be delivered. Shortly we were informed that we have to come and pick it up after all because of an error on their end we were offered no discount or significant apology, and then once I finally returned back to my family so that we could eat dinner, the portions and presentation was lacking to say the least. Would not recommend and I will not be back. I probably should ve given one star review instead of two. Update: to be fair A couple hours after I posted this review, they gave us a partia refund. Thank you, Wasabi.

Service is good and its quite as a lot of people are done eating here at about 9pm. As for the dinner rush times not sure cant review that for service, but food and drinks are pretty darn good. Never had a bad experience late night, Thursdays are a good time. Update: will not be back, frozen peas and carrots from a bag food for too high a price. No longer flavorful and everything is sticky from the tables to the floors. Food quality has gone downhill unfortunately. Hope they are able to correct as it use to be a hidden gym but no longer.

Our waiter had lost his voice possibly ill but later two very loud mouthed gals seated next to us the waiter had voice enough to be spitting game to them which made us wait on our check to pay and leave . Giant Roll was good, tuna tower was good but the ocean roll was a little less to be desired, the rolls were not wrapped tight enough so they were falling apart with chop stix I would try them again in the future just to say I ve been there twice and possibly change this review.

Then a lady in our group saw a roach jump out of her fried rice-she killed it but ruined (obviously) our meal. We did not say anything as restaurant did not feel clean to begin w/so our party decided not to say anything as if they re not interested in keeping it clean-they wouldn t be interested in knowing about our issue. Now that I read a similar experience I realize it really wouldn t have made a difference.

It isn t a bad restaurant it is just very overpriced for what is offered. I ordered a Jasmine tea and it was over $3. $3? For a tea bag? I also ordered a spicy tuna roll which they wanted $8 for. Most sushi places the regular rolls are around $5. In total I got 1 margarita (which was watery and not very good) a jasmine tea, salt and pepper shrimp (cooked well but did not taste like salt or pepper), a soup (which was offered so I though it came with the meal but was another $3 or so), and a tuna roll to go. Total bill for 1 person over $50. I felt ripped off paying the bill and my friend did too. It might be a good date restaurant since it is pretty and overpriced but I won t be going back.

Also if you like your fish cooked, the Tyler Texas roll would be the one for you!! BEST Sushi in town!!! Love it! They have lots of new stuff too, I have yet to try. Ill be back.

Food was great!! However, customer service was just interesting. When I walked in the host raised his eyebrows to question how many. As I left three boys were standing at the host stand talking when one did a sort of salute. I guess to wish me a good day. Not even a smile by any of the staff. Not at all surprised since it was all teenage boys and I guess they re usually focused on themselves.

Ive been going here for years and they have never failed to impress. I suggest the crab rangoon and pork dumplings to start. Then try a signature roll. The Texas Ranger is great if your not a typical sushi person, and the Louisiana hits the spot if youre looking for a little spice.

This is a nice and quiet little Sushi Restaurant tucked in behind the Lowe s Hardware store. The restaurant itself is trendy, clean and has a very warm atmosphere. The temperature and seating are perfect and comfortable. There are small flat screen TV s throughout for the sports or news enthusiasts. There is ample outdoor seating and a cute little stocked wet bar with more entertainment options. The food is incredible and they have a wide variety of Sushi rolls both fried and cold. They also have generous portions of sides and non sushi styles of Japanese cuisine. Very tasty and highly recommended.

Sushi and cocktails... whats not to love? I dont routinely throw out a 5-star, but aside from the great fresh food and unique drink selections... this visit we were lucky to have Gabby as our server. KUDOS to her! Gabbys easy-going personality, patience, and very helpful, positive manner helped make it a great experience for us. Because of her, were happy to give that fifth star!

Greatly varied menu, with so many choices in rolls, sashimi and other items I didnt expect (my wife does not eat fish except canned tuna), it was hard to choose. Everything we had we were absolutely impressed with, including the fried rice that was the best I have ever had, but without all the soy sauce youd usually expect. Cheesecake was absolutely WONDERFUL! The only thing Id change is my margarita glass was so full of ice that I dont feel I got enough margarita, but it was exceptional too. :) If you get any flaming sushi rolls, make sure your legs are under the table when it arrives, especially if in shorts... (my shin leg hairs were set aflame, BUT the awesome meal made it worth it!) :D As long as they do not post any 30.0[5,6,7] signs, WE WILL BE BACK, OFTEN AND SOON!!!

First time here , location looked nice. Food was old and hard. My sweet tea I made from home sitting in my car tasted better. I wanted to go out and get it. Food was editable and thats it not good. So disappointed, when never go out to eat and when we do it sucks. I am being nice and giving 2 stars, should be 1.

I had been wanting to experience Wasabi for about 3 years & was finally able to guilt-trip a night for Mothers Day. (Note, if it werent for taking a back road from the motel I was staying at due to storm damage to my home, I would never known where Wasabi was located.) Being it was a Sunday night (8:30pm), the dim (probably going for intimate ambiance) lighting first had me question if they were open. Once inside, the staff were pleasant & attentive. We were seated right away. Our server [Brandon?] was prompt, polite, & willing to answer questions. I ordered the Baked Salmon Roll, for the appetizer, and Kung Pao scallops for the entrée. The Baked Salmon Rolls were better than I anticipated. An asparagus spear runs through it, but its flavor is not dominant. The Kung Pao scallops were not what I expected. [Japanese hibachi has influenced my expectations.] I can-not- say they werent good, they were just not what I was expecting. They taste as if theyre coated in a breading. They dont look coated, but they tasted coated, & Im used to scallops only being seasoned & seared. I will definitely go back! Im going to try a different entrée, but the appetizer will be a staple for me.

I havent been here in years and I was excited to see if the food was still good. Well, the food was good then and its good now. My only negative about this place is that they are long overdue for a renovation, the decor and overall look is a bit outdated.

I would NOT recommend this place to my family or friends. I should ve known when there was only 1 other car in the parking lot. The place is just dirty Our table was very sticky, restrooms were dirty and had no toilet paper. Our server recommended what not to get because of how the food looks in the kitchen and when ordering alcoholic beverages they stated they never made that kind so we ordered what they did know how to make. Our food came on dirty plates, there was a brown sticky liquid on the bottom of it that was getting all on the table. After leaving my husband and I both felt sick.

My wife and I first tried this place based on a recommendation from my son-in-law before we moved to the area over a year ago. It was a wonderful experience and the best sushi I had in a very long time. So a very welcome and pleasurable experience. Unfortunately, since relocating to the area in July weve tried on five separate occasions, both lunches and dinner, and the service has been inexcusably bad. Now in their defense they have had a HELP WANTED sign on the door since we first revisited in July but this doesnt excuse the existing staff, which weve had repeatedly, from the terrible service. I could wrap my head around a large turnover and constantly new, inexperienced staff. But this hasnt been our experience. Weve had the same few waiters each time. As far as the menu, the food here has been excellent except for a single experience. My only bad experience with this was when the sushi chef had a bright idea of covering almost all of my nigiri and sashimi with ponzu sauce. It obliterated the taste of the sushi and I might as well have been getting sushi at a grocery store. If they can get their existing waitstaff staff trained and possibly not over extended in the number of tables each server has I am sure this would push them above and beyond reach of the other sushi restaurants in the area. Until then well keep going to one of the Hibachi places and order our nigiri and maki there.
