The staff were very helpful I found a three drawer on wheels very small dresser only it was the last one in the store and none were found anywhere else in the system I asked if I could buy the display staff said had to ask manager but it wasn t unheard of for displays to be sold with a small discount (traditionally offered with display anything) and the manager not only said no. I could look at it this way they saved me the trouble of putting it together. I bought it full price because the staff member was mortified at how the manger acted. And yes the manager was that rude! Stars are low because the manager not only acted like a jerk he made his employee feel horrible

This store is pretty big and has mostly home goods, but I especially like their seasonal decor. There is a large furniture section with a variety of sectional sofas and recliners. They also sell mattresses and lawn chairs. They often have discount offers on various products, plus an additional discount if you sign up for their app, member program, or have military service.

Ordered soda online with a coupon code. The next day I called to verify the order and was told it was there waiting. When I arrived I was told their system was hacked and the coupon was not honored. It would have been nice if the store/corporate would have reached out and informed me of my canceled order before I made the trip. Later found out that it was an invalid coupon someone shared on social media, a little more believable that their system was hacked.

I use to shop at Big Lots all the time, the prices are a lot higher now, I do like that they give a military discount. They have reasonably priced furniture. They have non perishable food items, cleaning supplies, towels, sheets and patio furniture.

Most of the cashiers are nice but some workers that are stocking are a bit rude when you ask them to please get its off of tall shelves or places and then when you see a ladder and you do it yourself they get mad. Well then, dont give an attitude if a customer asks for help.

Prior to traveling 30 minutes to this Round Rock Big Lots, i was in search of a mattress and i found one of interest on the website and called ahead to make sure it was in stock. I called this store and Mary answered with so much joy and energy in her voice to help me as she was evening greeting customers as they were walking in the store, she asked what i needed and i told her i was inquiring about the mattress. I gave her the sku number and she was able to find it was in stock and this was my favorite part, she made sure that i was a rewards member!!! So that i could take advantage of all discounts possible and i was coming to make an $800+ purchase so any and all savings was welcomed and she walked me through creating an account to make sure those coupons get sent!! That was by far the best phone service I had ever received from a retail store!!! So i arrive at the store and I m headed to the mattress section with my 2 daughters, and i was greeted properly by STAR!!!! I had no idea what i was truly looking for in a mattress but STAR gave me her professional and personal opinion,which is what i asked her to give, she gave it and then some!!! She welcomed me and my girls to try out ALL beds and do as i would on my own. She walked away and gave me time for that and after our initial conversation on which type of mattress, i ended up choosing a mattress that i felt would benefit me and husband. I went for a soft mattress and ended up getting a firm mattress. Star sealed the deal for me when she said you can t make a soft mattress firm but you can make firm soft meaning if the firm was too hard for me i can always buy a pillow top mattress cover which was the best idea!!!! She said the store didn t have it in stock so she called to the Parmer store to ask if they had it and to hold it. They did and i drove over and got the complete opposite experience!! I left with no mattress and I felt terrible that Mary and Star with through all that nice effort to help me was a waste because they were rude in my first 3 mins in the store. I left and called back to the Round Rock store to tell Star about my experience and had given up as i drove back to Jarrell, Texas. She felt so bad for me and apologized which wasn t any of her fault but i knew she cared. Star didn t stop there for me, she had Evelyn who i assume took over her shift to call me and tell me that my mattress had just pulled into the store of the truck!!! Star gave Evelyn the run down and had that mattress held for me and i got back and Evelyn was soooo sweet and pleasant!!! Star made sure i was taken care of that day and i came back and made my purchase and got it delivered today!!! My husband and i love our new bed frame and mattress!!! I want to thank these ladies and for this to go as high as possible because it s more than just worth of a pack on the back! So thank you Mary, Star, and Evelyn for your outstanding service and support!!!!!!

Love big lots, but the 2 older ladies need to have a better attitude. You work in customer service, act like it. Greet, smile, and keep a positive attitude to give a great experience in your store..whether you wanted to be there or not. You can set the tone for someones day just by the way you come off. Also, delivery drivers are customers for your customers ordering pickup, we count as well!

Ive been to this Big Lot several times and never had an issue. Today was the first time that two employees were unpleasant. I was tempted to just leave and not purchase anything. The store was empty; therefore, they didnt appear busy. One employee was very dismissive when I asked for help. The other employee (cashier) made a rude comment when I told her that one of my items didnt have a price tag, so I brought another item that might help her. On a positive note, they had a lot of cute Thanksgiving and Xmas decor.
