This place is a nice park with a fountain in the center of it. There is a play ground for young kids as well. Our daughter enjoys the ducks & turtles in the pond. Its good to go out & see other people nd kids play & walk here. People enjoy picnic as well here. Theres public rest room which is good & diaper change area is there as well in it.

Really big park. Lots of soccer fields and even cricket fields. Very nice and clean restroom. But parking is too little and it should have a Red light for turning in from the main road as well as for going out to the main road.

Very organized for soccer tournament Labor Day weekend. All fields learly labeled and signage in parking lot. For a very busy weekend, they made this easy. Covered bleachers for fans and clean bathrooms. Toilets: Clean

Tax dollars done right, very nice park. I only wish the light were sensor driven come on when someone walked by. There are some dark spots, so of your a early morning or late night, a person take a light with you. This is a great place for hanging out, playing various sports, hiking on trails, biking, and more. However, the newly renovated playground, while having more shade and aesthetic improvements, is in fact a downgrade for many of those who used the older playground as it lacks monkey bars and pull-up bars, and the quantity of U-seat shaped swings has also decreased despite the addition of new plastic armrest swings. The fence, while possibly useful for young kids, serves as an unnecessary obstacle between the parking lot and the playgrounds.

Beautiful park! I love bringing my toddlers here, the love the playground, the trail, and fishing in the pond. Always clean, always well maintained. Playground: A very nice playground for the kids. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. A nice paved trail and plenty of open space to run around.

Review of the playground at Russell Creek Park: 1. The location of the playground structures, gazebos, and restroom are close within sight making it easy for parents to watch multiple kids at the same time. 2. Clean 3. Multiple climbing and balancing structures 4. Multiple slides of different heights, steep slides too 5. Not fully fenced around Highly recommended for kids who love to slide, climb, and slide. Note: A few slides are so steep that the landing force can be painful. I witnessed a mom slide off the slide and fell hard on her bottom. My 6YO little man was a bit scared and also slid off the slide hurting himself. Parents need to supervise the little ones if they are sliding on the big slides.

Beautiful park and small lake. I caught this 2 lb bass on my visit last week. Can get busy on weekends; 5 softball fields, several soccer fields and cricket fields. A concrete walkway goes completely around the lake. Ducks, herons and other waterfowl are all present so bring your camera

Lovely place for a quick walk, watching the anglers and the geese and ducks. Weekends are a bit tight as there are too many walkers but the trail is long so still a good place to walk. Dog-friendliness: Theres one empty grassy space dogs will love. Its after the playground, after the pond trail ends

Russell Creek Park is a hidden gem in the northern part of Plano. Aside from the walking trails, there are also a lot of sporting amenities present there - including a volleyball court. Weekends are great for soccer events. Its a great place to go.

The family and I had a great day outdoors here. We spent almost 5 hours fishing and walking around. Caught a few bass didnt take pictures of a majority of them though. Playground: Nice covered play area for little ones and older children alike. Toilets: Saw the restrooms but we didnt visit them and I didnt go look for this post lol Dog-friendliness: Saw more than one family walking with their four legged family members. Picnic area: Plenty of open space to sit out in the grass in the sun or under the shade of many different types of trees. There are also benches around the park and a few picnic tables at the big pavilion area.

A relatively large, clean and nice park. There are a wide range of options there. Many baseball and sports fields, sand volleyball, horseshoes, etc. The pavilion is a nice rental if you have a bigger family or work event. The park is well maintained and clean.

Large pond with concrete walking / jogging path is nice to walk around. Fishing is allowed with permit. Pleasant breeze around the pond every time I have visited. Shady and sunny benches for resting. The is a beautiful community which has a lovely spacious beautiful park with walking trails, soccer fields, playground, covered Pavilion, bathrooms, picnic tables, charcoal grill, benches throughout the park, pond with fountain and wildlife, volleyball pit, and lots of free parking. Russell Creek Park is a small yet beautiful park. The park features a lovely pond surrounded by a walking trail, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. My 5 star review is only for the new playground area. I think it was completed in the fall of 2022. We went yesterday (March 2023) and its beautiful. Nice playground with two play structures that have many slides, swings, restrooms, drinking foundations, and a very large pavilion. Theres a lake with ducks near the pavilion.
