This is one of our favorite restaurants, the food is unique and locally sourced. The menu changes with the seasons but some favorites remain all year. One of the few restaurants in Dallas that their food tastes originally different you have a lovely combination of flavors and the portions are just right.

First time dining at their new location: I have dined at their old location on the square multiple times in the past. Chef Andrea is still amazing. The bartender on the third floor was just ok, but maybe because we showed up around 9 pm and they closed at 10:30 pm. The deviled eggs are always a favorite, the salad perfect, and the halibut full of flavor. There was a strange patron at the bar who shouted Trump, which made for an interesting evening. Overall, Id come back again.

Dustin is a 5 star server. We loved celebrating our 15th anniversary at Harvest. Everyone was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. The food was really amazing. We ate in the private dining room, as is normal for weekend dining when events are not planned. It was quiet, intimate, and lovely. The only drawback was they called us days prior to ask the spelling of our names for our celebration, but we didnt receive anything with our names on it so that was confusing. However, we are so grateful they bought our desserts. It was such a lovely touch!!! We will be back and look forward to seeing Dustin again. Parking: The city offers multiple parking areas and its a short walk to the restaurant, which is located in the historic downtown, which is walkable with lots of other shops and outlets.

We went to the third floor and ate at the Masonic Lounge for our anniversary. The vibe was odd. We couldn t pin it down. The venue advertises an upscale lounge with a band and limited reservations. One would think that the band wouldn t be overpowering, there wouldn t be a sports bar with football playing the entire time, or that there wouldn t be attendees in flip flops+jeans+baseball caps. We didn t think so, but we were wrong. I had to sit next to my boyfriend at the booth just to hear him speak; the acoustics were terrible. It was odd, and not as advertised. I will say that the food was incredible, but I would not recommend the third floor lounge for a fancy occasion.

We had dinner there last night for the first time. Our friends raved about Harvest and it didn t disappoint. I had the striped bass (it was delicious!) and my husband had the grass fed filet (he said it was very good). We also had the deviled eggs (a must!) and finished off with the chocolate cheesecake. It s not a traditional cheesecake and wasn t overly sweet. We really enjoyed it. It was my birthday dinner and Dustin, our server, was fantastic! He took great care of us and made wonderful recommendations. We will definitely be back! Oh and make a reservation because it gets very busy.

The food . I love the fact that it s organic. But in my opinion, organic shouldnt mean flavorless ( literally no seasoning what s so ever) . If your palette is bland, then this place is perfect for you. Other than the lack of flavor from every dish. The service was great and the ambiance was spot on.. I really wanted to like this place due to the reviews and as this place was recommended by a friend *who only had drinks* next time I know.. to only have their drinks *cheers*

I had a fantastic experience at the new location. We began with the seasonal dip, which was delicious, and the blackened chips that accompanied it were very flavorful. For our main courses, we chose the grass-fed and wagyu filets, both of which were outstanding. Our server, David, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and engaged in excellent conversation. I loved everything about this place. Greeted with a smile, cool vibe on the third floor that we luckily didn t need a reservation for. Really good live music, attentive, friendly server and the food and drink was fantastic! My friend and I shared a beet salad with chicken and the roasted pork enchiladas. Every part of the meal was seasoned to perfection. The meat was perfectly cooked. I had the Violet Beauregard cocktail, delicious. There was a $3 split charge for the entree, that wasn t disclosed but I wasn t mad about it. Portions were large enough that we both had plenty to eat. It s not a quiet space but it is intimate and you can hear each other over the music. If I lived in Dallas, I d be a frequent diner.

What a treat to visit Harvest at Masonic. We tried it to start my husbands bday celebration a few days early and it was an outstanding selection. Justin (and trainee Dustin) were very thoughtful and all about serving us. The music was fun and personalized :), and the environment was spectacular! The star of the show was the food. Easy to tell everything is grown locally. We have great appreciation for the growers and the chef... everything was quite memorable and delicious!

Once a cherished favorite, this establishment has lost its luster since relocating. The downstairs ambiance now resembles a cafeteria, while the food quality has declined significantly. My ribeye, a flavorless, lukewarm disaster, was far from the premium cut I expected. This was once a special place for my wife and me, even hosting our anniversary in June, but sadly, it no longer meets our expectations.

This is for the people who were fans of Harvest at its old location. Its not the same vibe or quality anymore. The OLD place was literally my favorite restaurant in the whole McKinney, Plano, Frisco area. My husband and I used to come here at least once a month, if not more. Sometimes we would make a reservation and sometimes wed just sit at the bar and listen to the live music. It USED TO BE a good place to chill and have great food. But... We have given the new location several chances. What happened to the bartenders who used to know our favorite drinks and appetizers? I havent seen any familiar faces in months. What happened to the cool vibe? What happened to the good service? What happened to the consistently good food? Its all gone. And they took my favorite item, the brisket tacos, off the menu. :( Were giving up on you, Harvest at the Masonic. The servers have messed up our orders so many times. We have received steaks that were overcooked and entrees that were bland. Weve had to flag down people to get us our second round of drinks and even bring us utensils. Your hostess seems to think its not okay to just show up on a Tuesday night at 8:30 just for the heck of it. Excuse us for coming just because we like it and not a special occasion. We have other options. Its sad, though.

Edited Review (see original for posterity below) **Edited: ***Third Edit We had reservations for the second floor but upon arrival were informed there was a wedding reception happening and would be moved to the first floor. It would have been nice to be informed of that when I received a courtesy call the day before to confirm our reservation but Im not dinging the experience for this as 1. Im a fan of weddings and definitely not angry that Harvest was hosting a reception and 2. Im giving the benefit of the doubt that the one calling did not have that information. So we had dinner on the first floor and never made it to the second floor. ***Third Edit comes here -> turns out I WAS called but missed the call AND the voicemail they left. This was all my fault. The first floor reminded me of the old building and experience minus the open-kitchen views sadly. If you plan to have a date where you care to actually hear what your date is saying, the first floor is definitely where you want to be compared to the third floor (see Original review .) Again, I cant comment about the second floor atmosphere. 4 stars for Atmosphere. Our waiter, Joey, was truly one of the best waiters I have had at any restaurant in a long time. He was attentive and quick to respond. He was knowledgeable and very service-minded. He truly seemed to care about his job and it showed. 5 star service! Finally, 4 stars for food. My wife got the beet hummus plate and thoroughly enjoyed it. My observation - seemed like a lot of sweet potato chips and not much hummus but it was her dish and she enjoyed it :). Then she got the brisket tacos and I got the filet for main course. Brisket tacos (3) were yummy. Joey had me cut into my filet to ensure it was cooked properly (medium rare.) I would say it was a bit more rare but I didnt mind. All-in-all a much better food experience than my original post below. Thank you, Harvest staff and ownership for the date night! **Original: I really wanted to like this place. First time at the new location. Made reservations then saw the 3rd floor had live music but had to call to request. I did that but when we showed up for our reservation, the receptionist had no note for our 3rd floor request. We did thankfully get a table right away but that laid the foundation for the rest of the evening. Slow service. Not a single water refill our whole meal. Ordered a drink and when it came out and I said it was the wrong one, the server said it was what I ordered. I told them to please check as coffee liquor does NOT taste like pineapples...Got the correct one to come out but it was terrible. Ordered a medium-rare burger. It was overcooked and dry. I put a 3-star for the atmosphere as the 3rd floor lounge has got some good vibes but you get off the elevator and the band is literally right there. The acoustics are awful so it is very hard to hear the band clearly.

My only hiccup with Harvest is the inconsistency with the food, mainly the entrees, The drinks, appetizers, and sides are almost always good. We recently went again, and this time to the new location. My husband s tenderloin was overcooked, he asked for medium, and got medium well to well done; and my steak, I had the bison strip: it was cooked to the right temp, but it was not tender, the cheddar mashed potatoes had too much salt, and the mustard red wine sauce didn t fit.. I understand with a mustard sauce you will taste the mustard in it, but it shouldn t be so overpowering that it overwhelms your palate. And over salting mashed potatoes just shouldn t happen and overcooking steak in a restaurant like harvest. With the money that is being spent, especially on the main entrees this shouldn t happen. It s a shame. Don t think we will be back this time.

The tables are too close together making it difficult to enjoy and also for the servers to maneuver. The server was working her butt off- it wasn t her fault they couldn t find our wine until after the entrees were served. So disappointing

Well Ive read many of the reviews and ok. My wife and I decided to give Harvest a try. Now before I start, I have made many reviews and given my honest opinion each and every time. I have given praise where it warrants and I have slammed establishments. This will be no different. We had 730 reservations this evening. We were early and had to wait which was no problem. My issue is if Im going to an establishment where I have to make reservations, there is a certain level of expectancy in presentation when walking in the door that goes along with it. Even tho the host team was nice, I dont like seeing one with an eyebrow pierced or one wearing sneakers. Its not professional. All around it seemed like the whole establishment was trying too hard at the whole Artisan fad, which I thought had finally went out but I guess not. From the decor to the menu it was over the top, not our cup of tea. Now lets get onto the food.... We had the deviled eggs which were great, along with the pimento and cheese dip which was another good choice of you can get pass the layer of oil and/or grease its floating in. The complimentary bread reminded me of yester years of elementary school rolls that had been sitting in a fridge for weeks. We both ordered the New Bison New York Strip. Im still trying to wrap my head around as to why my wifes cut off meat was literally twice the size of mine. Im not exaggerating on that. My rule of thumb is, if you are going to serve a $45 steak, I believe I should not need steak sauce. You do not need steak sauce here cuz they cover it in their house sauce to mask the bland flavor of the unseasoned steak. I purposely scraped the sauce off the meat to try it plain and yes bland. The mashed potatoes that came with it was way over salted to the point my stomach is still turning over an hour later and I could not finish them. The carrots were good and Ill leave that at that. We did wait just shy of 45 minutes for our main course, and yes I time this stuff for accuracy for my reviews. Now onto the positive: Our server David, super nice and attentive to us the whole time. He was the only positive part of our experience. I believe if your top meat product is bad the rest of the menu is going to be downhill. Overall verdict on Harvest is hard pass if youre looking for quality food.

I am updating my rating from a 5 star to a 2 star for the following. Weve been coming to Harvest for many years, it HAD been one of our favorite special places to come eat. We absolutely loved the moody, rustic, yet chic atmosphere in the old building..... However, since switching to the new building: You have the choice of 3 different levels to dine (weve dined on level 1 & 3) on level 1 my husband and I both felt as if it was an upscale Lubys cafeteria feel to the dinning room .... Far from the sexy/rustic/moody room before. The third level is like a nice cocktail area with a live band .... Nice, but I am not a loud talker and having a dinner date during the time the band was there made it pointless to talk because my husband couldnt hear me (we did enjoy the band, though). The food.... its definitely not what it used to be....just last evening we left so disappointed in our entrees. I had the crispy chicken dish....the pureed greens were gross, bland, bitter...they were very pungent (in not a good way) and the hot chicken was plated on a shredded salad that subsequently wilted due to the hot chicken...the flavor was not good despite the wilting. The chicken was bland...it was only dipped in plain panko and fried...thats it. My husbands steak was served (as per his description) in a slop of a mess ..they way over plated the potatoes/veggies, so much waste, and messy to look at. My cocktail sadly tasted watered down, I ordered the grey lavender.... And the cardboard straws....ugh!! Nasty!!.... Try the bamboo straws instead, cardboard ruins everything! Our server....well, you could tell he was there for the paycheck...thats about it. He walked about as slow as a sloth and was not personal.---All of this was our 20th anniversary dinner date. Im not sure what happened once they moved buildings, but we are super disappointed. We will not give up, however, well come give the ole hamburger a try next time, surely that cant go wrong!!

I have been to Harvest many times. I just went recently to their new location on a Saturday and sat on the 3rd level with a few girlfriends. We didn t have a reservation and we went to the bar to wait. We okay had to wait about 10 minutes or so before we got a table. We had a cheese/charcuterie board and it was a little disappointing. We all were hoping it would have came with crackers. We had cocktails (they were top notch), wine and a full dinner and a couple desserts to share. I got the steak, and it was good. I remember we all thought the lemon pie should ve been cold instead of warm or room temperature. They had a band that played music of the beatles, tom petty etc. and they were really good! Overall we had a great time and we will be going back again soon! Wheelchair accessibility: They have an elevator and the tables aren t super close together. It seems to be a very wheelchair friendly atmosphere.

I would rate this place NO stars if I had the option. My husband and I came here on a Saturday night for date night and I was super excited because Ive been with girlfriends before and food and the drinks were yummy!! So we went to the 3rd floor and had drinks and planned on sitting at the bar for dinner being Saturday it was busy so we ordered drinks and sat on the couch while waiting for seats to open up. The drink my husband order was wrong, he ordered a markers mark old fashion and was charged for Bakers ( a single barrel) you would think the sever would clarify the order because its not common. Then we find seats at the bar and the first thing the bartender (with the gray bun) said to us is - WHATS GOING ON, WHERE DID YALL COME FROM? literally yelled at us, not hi how are you? nothing!!! We explained we wanted to have dinner and the seats came available and we had closed out with our sever that gave us drinks. He walked off and didnt return for 10 mins. When he came back he asked the same question again, in a very annoying tone. We told him we wanted to have dinner here and all he said was WHAT ARE YOU HAVING THEN? We ordered in shock because we have never been spoken to like this at a restaurant. Right after we ordered we decided to cancel and not waste our money where we are clearly not welcomed. Told the manger on duty and he also did not seem to care. We both worked in the industry for a while and was just so disappointed with how everything went down. We will not return or tell friends to go here.

Very surprising miss by harvest. They were on a brunch only menu for Saturday lunch so the options were pretty limited. One of our orders was steak and eggs, and the steak came out smothered in some weird green mustard sauce that I think they claim was hollandaise. I dont know if it was a st pattys day carryover or if thats what it always looks like. It would be nice to know that the steak is going to come smothered so it can be avoided. The steak came out very undercooked...on the border of rare and blue. It was ordered medium. The sunny side up eggs were also on the side of barely cooked with the top half of the whites still clear and runny. The other order was a pancake dish and it was OK. Neither of us ate more than half the order, and we declined a free desert because it just wasnt worth the calories at that point as everything was proving to be pretty mediocre. Not bad, just not good. It was handily beat by the multitude of chain restaurants in the area. Harvest used to be one of our favorite spots so we will likely give it another shot for dinner assuming they carry a full menu. Heres to hoping this is a brunch only miss!

Update: we went back tonight & it was incredible! Everything cooked perfectly & excellent + attentive staff. We could not have asked for a more perfect meal. So glad we gave them another shot because we will definitely be back soon! We went to brunch here last Saturday & we had a few issues. I addressed them in a review here afterwards and the owner reached out to me. After a discussion we were able to resolve the issue and we are looking forward to giving it another try. Must have just been an off day for them! We appreciate the quick and wonderful customer service. Thanks Rick!

Perfect service from Jacob in the 3rd floor lounge, he was able to assist us with navigating the new spring menu, suggested cocktails and food pairings and was just an overall knowledgeable and friendly person. We started off with the Violet Beauregard and the earl lavender, both were delicious. Second round was a charred orange old fashioned and cactus rose. The old fashioned was good, but the orange peel had a thick layer of pith which let the drink slightly bitter. Cactus rose was a hit for someone who doesnt normally enjoy tequila. Pimento cheese was tasty if a little oily, and the flat iron steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare and super tender. Chicken fried steak was a hit, and a super generous portion, enough to bring home for a second meal. Dessert choices didnt really stand out to me, but I was offered my choice for my birthday, I opted for the cookies and milk, which were well prepared, but not particularly memorable. Jacob even had the kitchen write out happy birthday on my plate, a nice touch. Atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for hiding in a dark corner and listening to the live band. There were plenty of different age ranges throughout the lounge including a few kids and babies, but the music is fairly loud so dont plan on an intimate conversation. Would definitely return. Parking: Public lots all throughout downtown Kid-friendliness: Babies in a bar.

We used to come to Harvest for anniversaries and birthdays, but after my visit last night, I am not planning on returning. They moved locations, which I thought was amazing that they are bringing a historic building back to life, however the inside is a completely different vibe than their original location. That was a let down. The food was not very good, no where near what I used to rave about. The deviled eggs were just ok rather than the amazing they used to be. A lot less toppers on them. Two people in our party ordered the burger and it was very dry and lacked flavor. The apple streusel type dessert (Im forgetting the name) was very very dry, even with mixing the ice cream in. Its kinda sad that 5 desert loving women took one bite each and left the rest for the trash. Im not sure if theres a new chef that is not as good or maybe we went on an off night? Our server was very nice, but she did forget to put in one meal which we had to wait for. I also want to mention that the restroom is co-ed and clearly not looked after. Very strange to walk into a multiple stall restroom with a man in there. Dont let your children go to the restroom without you!! The toilet seats in two stalls were up and had pee everywhere and unflushed, even after an hour of our dinner. Also without toilet paper.

First of all I made reservations online and it only allows for 6. I noted for 10 on the special request. They were confused about the 10 guests. I eventually got them to consider and they did accommodate with 2 separate reservations. We had family visiting from out of town. 2 are chefs from the NY and DC area. This place was one of our favorite spots. However this brunch was disappointing. The service was excellent, but the food was frankly ok. The deviled eggs were awesome! The problem is we all order a version of chicken and it was basically not edible. The chicken was sooo overcooked and rubbery that it was frankly a bit embarrassing to have hosted family at Harvest. I hope that there is more attention to detail when it comes to the final product. Especially when the prices are high I HATE spending money on subpar food. I get this can happen occasionally but it stinks when it happens to you.

Welcoming ambience--rustic style with good lighting. A nice place to celebrate with friends except that when its busy like weekends, it gets loud in there. We were satisfied with the quality of foods we ordered for brunch. Glad that we decided to order an appetizer. We had a party of 5, it took awhile for our main course to be served. Service was fine. Didnt get an offer for a refill of my coffee. And they forgot the fries that goes with the cod fish that my daughters friend ordered. Not liking the idea of unisex bathroom.

From the moment I walked in I felt like this was the best place in downtown McKinney. The recreation of the original Harvest is beautiful and the menu was expertly crafted. From the handmade leather covers of the menu to the food itself, it was what I expected from this farm-to-table restaurant. I went with the fried shrimp appetizer and the seared redfish entree with the dirty rice add-on. It was delightful. The cocktails were delicious and I was pleasantly surprised with how good the Texas wines were. The lemon goat cheese dessert was a very nice end to the meal with a cup of coffee. 10/10 will be back again and again.

For dessert, we had the Apple Brown Betty which was a little dry, but still absolutely delicious. The wine selection is very expansive. The attention to detail throughout the restaurant is perfect. The water glasses are recycled wine bottles. The Apple Brown Betty was served in a cast iron dish on a recycled piece of an old menu. Sustainability is the name of the game.

Hoping it gets better, we loved the previous location and food, for date nights and going out with friends. Was really glad to see this move as it expanded the restaurant and bar areas quite a bit with three floors!. However our first couple of visits were a bit of a disappointment. Food was not as good as before it seemed, as portions were smaller, and not as tasty. Services was slow, sometimes not at all when we were at the bar, and hate to say it, but some preferential treatment/service occurred while we were waiting to place our drink orders at the bar. I get it as I am local to the downtown too, but... The location is great as parking is better, the facility is larger and able to accommodate more diners and bar patrons. Hoping it gets better in service, and food like the old Harvest was.

Ive have two words that can definitively express my experience at Harvest at the Masonic. Fantastically Fabulous. Google describes it as Rustic-chic offering sustainable American fare and drinks. I will 100%, it is just that. We celebrated our Company Christmas Party there, and it was such a wonderful time. I arrived early and the Hostess invited me to tour the restaurant. It has 3 floors, and each floor as a different vibe. I have an confession. I tried on one of the hats hanging on the wall. Dont make the same mistake I did. Those are the owners personal hats:) The service was top notch and the food was superb. I ordered a smoky drink, and the presentation and taste was out of this world. My main course was the Duroc pork chop. It was so delicious. Im looking forward for my next visit. It was such a memorable experience.

Despite some negatives, we loved our visit to the new Harvest location! The ambiance at the new location feels more contemporary and elevated, a nice upgrade! We had the carrot dip starter, flat iron steak, and my wife had a salad with chicken. The carrot dip is good, but not as good as the previous version at the old location. This version has too many sweet potato chips that cant hold up to dipping. The chips were also mostly tiny, super brittle, bottom of chip bag like, and too many for an appetizer. My flat iron steak was ridiculously good! the steak was cooked perfectly and high quality. The steak was served over a green pesto like sauce with potatos and it was so delicious. The one major downside for me was that the steak was literally swimming in the sauce! Too much sauce! it had the effect of overpowering the dish with a very rich sauce. Same story with my wifes salad which had way too much dressing. Service at the bar was friendly, but a bit slow and awkward. We had a peanut butter pie for desert and it was too sweet and rich for my taste. We will return for sure! but next time we will request that they dial back on the sauce.

This was our first time eating at this location. The atmosphere was really cool. They mentioned that the decor was from local establishments. My only complaint was that at times the music could be loud. The service was also amazing. The wait staff was attentive and frequently checked in with us. For our appetizer we ordered the brisket tacos. They were tasty. For my taste preference I would have preferred a little more cilantro and pickled onion. However, they were still really good. For our entree, I had the flat iron steak and a side of collar greens. The steak its self was really good. It was tender and had some good flavor. It was lacking some salt however. The collar greens on the other hand had all the salt and I mean all the salt. Unfortunately, it was inedible with the amount of salt in it. My wife had the pan seared shrimp and dirty rice. That was fantastic. Good flavor with just enough spice. Although, it did need a little more salt. For desert, we had the milk and cookies. That was the star. That transported me back to childhood. The peanut butter cookies reminded me of the cookies I had as a child back home. The orange and chocolate chip ones were also good, but the peanut butter ones stole the show. Overall, this was a really good experience.

Updating my rating to a 2 from a 5. We booked a reservation for 7 at the new place. My wife gets there and the front staff made a big fuss about not being able to have an extra seat as the tables they have only fit 6. Seems like a weird hill to die on, but hey not my business. She proceeded to explain that they would have to ask if this is possible. Honestly, wish it was an issue because the dish I had was even worse experience. I had the red fish and it was way overcooked. Worst fish Ive had all year. Which is surprising because weve never had this issue with this restaurant and tell anyone that asks that weve never had a bad experience and you cant go wrong with any dish. welp. My wife was also disappointed to learn that the sweet potato pancake dish is off the menu. Not sure if this will be our last time going, but will certainly not be on our top places to go when we think of downtown Mckinney. As an aside, our waitress and everyone else we interacted with were great. The carrot hummus is still fantastic. The seasonal dip leaves a lot to be desired... felt like it was just eating mostly breadcrumbs.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the new addition to McKinneys culinary scene, The New Harvest, and it left an indelible impression. This gem, owned by the same visionary behind Ricks, boasts three floors of pure delight. The top floor, a vibrant bar with live music, provided the perfect atmosphere to unwind. The second floor, featuring an open kitchen concept, allowed me to witness the culinary magic as it unfolded. The seamless blend of modern design and warm ambiance made for an immersive dining experience. The first floor, where I chose to sit, offered a dual treat a cozy bar atmosphere and delectable farm-to-table cuisine. The service was nothing short of exceptional, adding a touch of warmth to the heart of Downtown McKinney. I found myself captivated by the live music on the top floor, savoring every bite of the farm-fresh dishes, and relishing the impeccable service. The New Harvest is a testament to culinary ingenuity and a must-visit in Downtown McKinney. Looking forward to returning, perhaps for lunch next time, to indulge in more of their delightful offerings. Kudos to The New Harvest for elevating the dining experience in this unique downtown McKinney. Cheers, Lucie Warfield

Fried chicken entrée was up there as being one of the best I have had and they brine their chicken. Live music was very good, subtle and not too loud. Nice atmosphere, got tacos, very small portions. Not filling if you want to satisfy hunger. Parking: Walk to free parking through back streets not pleasant.

The food and service was outstanding. They had some great new takes on some old recipes. The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic, right until the point where the live music started. The music itself wasnt bad, its just that it played at such a level that made everyone else start talking louder which made the entire restaurant so much louder and it definitely took away from the cozy romantic atmosphere.

Our server Logan was amazing. Super friendly and gave us the best recommendations. Super funny to talk to and made our night amazing. They gave us an anniversary dessert saying Happy Anniversary too. Little things like that are very memorable
