Great food and service today. Came during lunch for a business meeting/lunch based on the recommendation of the locals. Couldnt have asked for better food. Got the ribeye tacos and subbed charro beans. Its probably the best beans Ive ever had, and that includes mom and pop places in RGV and around Houston. The waiter we had never let me ice tea come close to being empty, and the hotter salsa that came with the tacos was great. Will definitely be back with the wife and kid.

Owner on premises illegally denied service to us when my wife and I arrived with her legally documented service animal. This a clear violation of ADA law and is very disappointing to us in that we love the food here. We have not and will not return after this experience. They have also recently changed the Queso from what used to be excellent to now a less than average product. Not too sure who is making decisions in the this place, but they need to wake up.

First time coming here . Got the chicken enchiladas with queso sauce, the flavor was little to none. They brought it out suspiciously fast and it was luke warm at best. I poured salsa over the top to try and make it better but it was meh. The beans and rice are bland as well. The glass of water they brought me had a dirt taste. The chips were hot and fresh and they have good salsa. The margarita was strong, that s a plus. I may try them again but never getting the chicken enchiladas for sure. Lots of old people here maybe they like it because they don t have taste buds anymore lol Service was good.

5/19/24 UPDATE: We STILL love this place. I didn t know refried beans and Spanish rice could be this good. The brisket tacos are my go to and are always outstanding. I could ve been happy with just the Tostaditos appetizer. The salsa has a really good kick to it. The staff were friendly and attentive. Always good and enjoyable. Kid-friendliness: The staff were interactive with my special needs daughter and made her feel comfortable.

I ve been dining here since they literally opened and were sending out coupons to draw people in, and when everyone got a free tostadita. While those days are gone, the food, service, and ambiance have only improved over time! This is the only place I go for tex-mex. We live the fresh salsa, it s a bit spicy, but everyone gets their own serving and they refill it as many times as you want. We just left dinner and I ordered Adrian s special as usual. Two cheese enchiladas covered in queso with beef fajita meat and peppers and onions. They serve white queso which is my favorite. My partner ordered the taco plate but normally has the tex mex platter. There are great drink specials and discounts on margaritas on Tuesdays (hence my visit). We had sopapillas for dessert, again a long time favorite. Over the years they have found ways to incorporate more seating , which is nice. The have delicious food, service is quick, prices are moderate, if you leave hungry it s your fault. We love Casa Mama and will keep coming back! Parking: There s a few spots right in front, but tons of parking available in the Kroger parking lot next door.

I m at Casa Mama like 1-2 times a week and it s always amazing. The food is delicious and the drinks are on point. I honestly come because of the staff though. Felipe is one of the best waiters in town. He s always so friendly. I do have a second favorite waiter though. Davison is incredible and is such a hardworking person. Don t come in the afternoon around 2:00-3:00pm. I sat there for several minutes with the owner talking to a woman about t-shirt orders. He never said someone will be right with you. After about 5 minutes, someone finally came to help me. I ordered a margarita and she walked away. Waited, no margarita. Waited, no margarita. I had told her the order was to go, so I assumed the margarita would come right away. When she came back to take my order, I asked her if she had heard me order the margarita. We were in the area and craving Mexican food, so we thought we would give this place a try. As a rule of thumb, the chips and salsa are a good indicator for the quality of the food. The chips were warm and the salsa was as fresh and tasty as if it were just made. As for the main course, the brisket enchiladas did not disappoint. Casa Mama is definitely a hidden gem. Came here on business for 5 days and only needed to buy dinner. We ate here twice. Would not have minded all 5 nights here. Food is EXCELLENT. Service is EXCELLENT. I asked if they served Yuengling, and the server did not understand my question (a good sign you are getting authentic Mexican!) but he didnt just say he didnt understand and disappear, he found a manager that DID understand and found out there was no Yuengling. So... 4.9 stars. I drank something else that wasnt AB and enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the company. If you are within 40 minutes, eat here. No idea about the kids menu, but the adult menu... Camerons chimichanga. Just enough queso for everything to get a dab, but not so much its swimming. Excellent. Excellent. They just need Yuengling.

Listed as dog friendly, yet when we went there tonight (07/06/23) we were rudely told that if anyone complains about the dog, we will have to leave. We were the only people on the patio at the time due to the rain. We ve been there several times with our dog and no one said anything about it. I understand that this is their restaurant and they can run it as they please, but perhaps update their website, Google, and possibly post signage stating NO DOGS ALLOWED . Really a shame, too. Meh. We love this family owned restaurant. We have been to every location (Forney, Rockwall, Plano, Dallas and Sacshe). Went for lunch today and the entire experience was a bit lackluster. The chicken in the Chile Relleno tasted like boiled white meat as opposed to the usual delicious dark meat that is juicy and flavorful. The tortilla soup was barely warm. The margaritas tasted as good as usual but at $9/each on a Sunday at 3 pm, thats a little too much! Maybe its cut backs from COVID? I honestly cant believe Ive never reviewed casa mama before! My husband and I used to live right around the corner from this location and it was our weekly go to, plus a favorite for brunch. Tuesday is happy hour all day and every other day from 3-7! Drinks are strong and they make delicious mimosas and Mexican Candy shots as well. Javier is our waiter most of the time, but honestly by this point, everyone has served us at one time or another and we are always greeted with hugs and smiles! Even after moving 20 minutes away and making our visits fewer, they are just as enthusiastic to see us every time! We frequently come to watch soccer and theyll put it on whatever tv is most convenient for us to see. I recommend just about everything! The tacos are so good but Ive tried about 75% of the menu and havent been disappointed once. I dont even bother going to any other Mexican restaurant in the area for the most part, especially if I want the best Mexican food Plano has to offer.

Food was not what I expected from a good Mexican restaurant, the chips were overcooked and the tortillas tasted store bought not fresh made. The chicken fajita tacos had cubes of chicken which made them.hard to eat. Portions were on the small side

You will not find a better Mexican food restaurant for the money! Have enjoyed countless meals here, having eaten practically everything on their menu. The owner and his wife are wonderful and caring people, the staff is attentive and polite. I know youll enjoy it!

This is my all-time FAVORITE mexican in Texas. I was lucky to live nearby for 6 months. Lucky for my stomach but not so much for my waistline. The rib-eye fajitas are the best Ive ever had. You will not regret coming here.
