Ted Dickey Funeral Home on 18th Street in Plano was so wonderful to me and my mother. We had my fathers celebration of life there on 8/22. When we met with Will (William Ciociola) he gently guided us through the processes. There were no high-pressure sales. He just let us know what is available and was able to help us make a few decisions that we were not sure on. It is such a hard time when you lose someone, and he and his staff couldnt have been nicer, empathetic and professional. It was a hard day get through, but they made it as easy of a process and all we had to manage and worry about is our own grief. I couldnt recommend them more!! Thank you, Ted Dickey, and Will.

I recently worked with Ted Dickey Funeral to set up everything when my loved one passed. They are amazing to work with, very good, caring, amazing communication, and helped me with what I needed to get done. I worked with William(Will) and he was wonderful to work with and get everything set up for my grandma. I am from out of state and his commutation to help me was awesome between emails and phone calls, he helped me get it all done. Funeral Home was all set up and ready when we arrived for the service, it was clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend using them.

My Fathers celebration of life at Ted Dickey in Plano exceeded the my expectation. From the moment I first met Gabriella who helped me plan out the services, than to William who walk me thru the next steps. The guidance and the care that both William and Gabriella provided, I felt their sincerity. The witness of cremation was done professionally, William was there to greet the family, he gave us time to say good bye to my Father, the entire process was carry out flawlessly. The celebration starts at 1, but by noon everything were set up and the staffs were more than helpful. They move the flowers around to accommodate my request. I forgot to buy bottle water for the guests , the staffs went into their storage and take out whatever bottles that they have to give out to everyone. The celebration of life took place in the Plano location - and it was perfect- it was bright, clean, and the set up what I was looking for (round table vs benches). The loss of my Father was devastated for our family, but Gabriella, William, and the rest of the staffs have brought some sweetness to light up our loss. There cannot be a more painful event in life than losing your soulmate of 60 years. On June 3, 2024 my beloved husband was called to heaven after a lengthy illness, and while we anticipated his approaching departure, we were not remotely prepared for the emotional challenges we were about to encounter. My first call was from Will Ciociola, offering his sincere condolences and inquired as to what he could do at that very early hour of the morning to be of assistance. He explained there would be multiple decisions to make and assured me he would be by my side through each and every step as I buried my beloved husband. The following morning Will met with me and my family. Those decisions were not easy to make, but with Wills patient and gentle guidance we worked through all of the arrangements and Will took care of the burial arrangements at The Plano Mutual Cemetery. We were not able to bury my husband until 11 days following his death. Coordinating the Church, Clergy, musicians and cemetery is challenging because of so many parties who were going to participate in the ceremony of Christian Burial and Military Honors. Will handled all all arrangements and his professional ability and kindness of spirit assisted me through these very difficult days, He checked on me frequently and continually verified all of our wishes were being fulfilled. When the day arrived for our family to bury our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Will was at my side from the time I exited the vehicle at the Church, through the graveside service and Military Honors, and escorted me back to the vehicle in a timely fashion due to the extreme heat. He advised me to call him for anything I may need, and I knew he was sincere in that statement. He has continued to check on me and I cannot express what this has done for me emotionally. I could not imagine survival of the most painful period of my life without Will. God has blessed this young man with an angels heart and his staff follows his example. There could not be a finer or kinder person in the business. Our family has used the services of Dickeys Funeral Home since 1978, and this experience was handled with such kindness I am eternally grateful.BER

My aunt passed away on 05/02/2024 and we chose Ted Dickey Funeral Home to say goodbye to our loved one. When my family and I met with Will (William Ciociola), he was very professional, compassionate, kind, patient and understanding as we made some changes to the pre-paid arrangements we had for my aunt. Will helped us every step of the way ensuring nothing was missed or left out in-order to make this day special for our family. The few times my family and I went to the funeral home Will addressed us all by name (and there were several of us) which I thought was personal and so sweet. Will recommended Pastor Tim and he was absolutely amazing and we had a beautiful service. Following the service, my family and I have a tradition of sending balloons up to heaven with a hand written message from all of us. Will was very supportive and helpful as we released the balloons. He thought it was special and mentioned he s never been apart of that before. I honestly can t say enough about Will, Pastor Tim and Ted Dickey Funeral Home!! My family recently used Ted Dickey Funeral Home to say goodbye to my sister in law. Let me tell you the care and compassion we received from Will (William Ciociola) was SO special and memorable. We had pre planned and pre paid for almost all of it but when the time came we were able to add and change some things. Will was so patient and understanding with us as we changed things here and there to keep the cost down. My sister in law was cremated, But we still had a service for her. My family loved the way the Funeral Home looked, instead of pews lined in rows, it was set up like an elegant restaurant with several tables with white table cloths so you could see everyones faces instead of the back of their heads. It was a very nice service. After my sister in laws ashes came back, I went to pick her up and Will insisted on carrying her out to my car. He put her in the front passenger seat and strapped her in with the seat belt. Will was so sweet and showed so much compassion through out the whole process. He was patient, kind, sensitive to our financial concerns as well as how we wanted Kurt to be remembered. We recently lost my 90 year old mother, and we chose Ted Dickey Funeral home in East Plano to handle the service. Will and his team were so caring and kind. It could ve been a very stressful experience since my parents hadn t made any arrangements, but instead, we were guided step by step, and they took care of things where possible so we didn t have to. The service was beautiful. The flowers were, too. I appreciated the seating arrangements which allowed guests to talk with each other and made it more of a celebration than a somber service. My wife and I have lost 3 of our 4 parents within the last 2 years and we used Ted Dickey Funeral Home for all 3 of their services. 2 of our parents were cremated and 1 was a Celebration of Life service at the TD east Plano facility with procession/burial at the DFW National Cemetary the next day. In all 3 of our engagements with Ted Dickey, we had a very good experience. Each time, we had a different funeral director (?, Elizabeth and Will) and they were all very professional, compassionate and consultative. There were no heavy sales, just them helping us understand options and make good decisions during the difficult times. The service we held for my veteran Father-in-Law at TD East was well done and everyone said it was a beautiful ceremony. The cremations for my father and mother were completed without issue and they offer a lot of nice options for the remains including the glass ash orbs that we included for all the descendants. My wife and I definitely recommend Ted Dickey funeral home and God Bless those suffering a loss.

This funeral home took excellent care of my stepfather and his service. My family worked with Will, who was extremely personable and empathetic to us throughout the entire funeral planning process. Will worked hard to make this process easy for us to navigate and answered all of our questions. The funeral home was well organized and they offer round tables instead of pews, which we thought was unique and offered more opportunity for family and friends to meet and gather together. The funeral home also went above and beyond decorating the tables and service area to represent the man that my stepfather was. The death of a loved one is very hard to deal with. Doug Fry with Ted Dickeys funeral home did make it a much easier experience than we could ever have hoped for. My mother passed away at the end of November. We knew it was inevitable but still comes as a shock. She would need to be flown to Indiana. Doug had everything arranged in less than 24 hours. The funeral director in Indiana was very impressed by the professionalism and sincere sympathy shown by Doug and his team at Ted Dickeys funeral home. I m writing this review in order to finally get a response after months of contacting. I had a celebration of life for my father who had passed unexpectedly. Although it was beautiful, I ordered a ring for the memory of my dad while working with them. This was in January. It was ordered and payed for even before then as well. I have called and emailed and never heard back from anyone here and it is very upsetting. I am young and still grieving, so being ignored and not receiving something that has a large sentimental value is unacceptable. Please fix this and reach out to me so I can finally have a piece of him with me.

Dickeys went beyond anything I could have asked for. Very easy team too work with that really care for the Family. My only complaint would be I believe they sold my phone to a spam company. When my father passed it started with spam texts for my father I assumed it was the Hospice facility that did it. But I simply reached out for planning another funeral and now I am getting the same bombardment of spam texts for the deceased that in no other way would be tied to my phone. So no less than a 100 times a days I get for my deceased Father (1 1/2yrs ago) and my Son (2 mons). And for that simple reason I will NEVER use Dickeys again. Such a shame

Recently attended the funeral of my brother at the Plano location of Ted Dickey. While I can honestly say it was the last place I wanted to be, it was an amazing send off. Everything was carried out beautifully, food in the reception area was very good and it was so nice to have a place to gather and see people. The night God called our grandfather we were prepared to call Ted Dickey. What we did not expect was for them to show up promptly and carry out my grandfather with ultimate delicacy and dignity as if he was royalty. Doug, the funeral director, made the process smooth and was patient with us throughout every step of the cremation disposition. The funeral service was beyond what we expected, from the warm welcome given to everybody at the door, to the placement of the flower arrangements to make my grandfather look as if he was resting in a flower field. The planning was disorganized. After our meeting there which took almost two hours, we had to call in to make sure that everything was on schedule, At the service, they played the same song twice. If we had known there was enough time for a third song, we would have picked something else.

Javier at Ted Dickey Funeral Home was very easy to work with and very accommodating. He guided us through the process of creating a beautiful memorial service for my Mother. Flowers, catering, dvd, and power point presentations were all expertly handled. The whole staff is caring and carried out our requests efficiently. Christine stepped in and even loaned us her computer when she saw we were having issues with ours. I would recommend them to anyone.

I am thoroughly impressed with, & grateful for, the Ted Dickey Funeral Home. My Mother passed suddenly, & unexpectedly, April 19, 2019. We are, originally, from Buffalo, NY & I was unfamiliar with anyone down here, regarding making any kind of arrangements. George Lewis was MOST helpful...patient, learned, compassionate & understanding. He helped me navigate this anomalous territory & provided me with insights & perspective. The cost was reasonable & the care provided was priceless! I also met Beverly, who offered help & emotional support, as well. I would highly recommend them for anyone having to go through this challenging task. Not only are they thorough & knowledgeable, but they are gentle, kind & empathetic. Thank you for making a horrible circumstance far easier to bear!

Made an appointment with Ted Dickey in Plano, TX and visited on a Saturday 05/04/19. .Accord to my understanding I was to immediately receive an e-copy of my prepaid contract. Never received!! In addition, authorized a charge of 33% down payment on the prepaid contract; also not done!! Have left 2 voicemails, 1 text, and 2 emails with absolutely zero response. WTH? Next step contact TX Dept. Of Banking to Lodge a formal complaint! Needless to say extremely frustrated with my experience thus far!!

I couldnt ask for better service. George Lewis was so thorough in wanting to make certain every thing was exactly as we wanted it. After my husbands service at Ted Dickeys, several of my friends and relatives made a point to tell me how beautiful the service was. I have been involved in planning several other funerals in the past with other funeral homes and never received the attention and service I received at Ted Dickeys
