To preface, I love the green Lacto-Kooler Berliner Weiss but this establishment leaves much to be desired. They have 6 beers from the actual brewery Voodoo itself, and the rest are guest taps of fine variety. I got the Voo-Doo pickle pizza which featured an inch of wholesale mozzarella cheese, no house made garlic pesto, and the thick cut pickles were jarred Best Maid pulled right from the jar, slapped on the pizza, and doused with a dill/cajun spice mixture you can grab at your local grocery store. My husband got the fried shrimp Plano Po Boy and that featured 3 moderately sized shrimp. My only positive was the fries were really good. Very disappointing experience with food. The service was fine.

The beer and the food were top notch. Prices are to be expected. We sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon and struggled to get good service. I think we were there around the time of a shift change. We sat with empty beers for 5-10 minutes on two separate occasions. It also took a long time to be able to order food. We will definitely be back, and hopefully the service will be better next time.

The food was not great. I had the dill pickle pizza which was both burnt on one side and doughy on the other. The red pepper hummus tasted very strongly of bell pepper. The beer was okay. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The space was very cool.

The staff was excellent. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. They made some suggestions that were spot on. We talked with the manager and discussed a lot at beers and locations around the country. Later found out she was the owner, she knows her stuff. The beers are on the expensive side, everything we had was in a 12 ounce glass but cost $7 or $9 which is more than we usually pay for a full pint. They did have $1 jello shots on the night we visited. Those were excellent!

Voodoo Brewing in Plano presents well with a long bar, 4-top tables, several large tables to seat groups and mix-n-max seating, and an overall lively vibe. They have an excellent selection of beers and seltzers sure to please a broad spectrum of beer lovers. On a previous visit I had a very tasty dinner along with a couple of nice beers, so I d give the food a thumbs-up, at least to the extent of my experience. HOWEVER, I have serious reservations as to a return visit simply due to the very steep pricing of the beer. On this most recent visit we had a couple of basic local craft ales, each listed as 6.5 ABV, served in 12oz tulips at a cost of $8.50 and $9.00 respectively. For me, this is vastly over-priced for beer that is available at other bars just 100 away on Old Plano s 15th Street main drag for $6 or $7, in true pints. I know Voodoo is in a high rent area, as are the others, but I will likely visit the other bars based the pricing and pour size alone. I dared not ask how much the Doubles and Imperial pours cost, probably well into the range of standard cocktails. But if price is not important to you, I think you would likely enjoy the Voodoo atmosphere and food.

Great place! First time visiting and plan to be a returning customer. We sat at the bar,..Plenty of sitting, the bar is BIG, staff was friendly and welcoming. Plenty of food options and happy to share theres plenty of healthy options. Both in food and alcohol. I had the Pastrami Reuben with pub chips. Chips had a somewhat sweet seasoning. My husband had the 3 pigs pizza and it was good. My daughter had the chicken Ceasar wrap and that was also good. The prices were fitting to the portions. It was a great vibe! Come check it out and have your own experience.

Me, my son, and friend got to check out this place last night and let me tell you, no other brewery Ive been to has been this awesome! Super kid-friendly, staff is very attentive, food is unique but very good, and the selections of beers is outstanding. Theyve been open since March and happen to be 1 of 2 breweries in Plano. Family friendly environment: They have board games, table top games, those little packaged colored wax sticks for the young ones to play with, and even an entire wall for them to write with chalk on! Also, they have Trivia Night every Wednesday at 7PM. Staff: Theyll greet you coming in and out the door. If youre sitting at a table, theyll swing by every so often to check up on you. Not so often that you feel like youre being bombarded, but also not so little that youre having to look for them. Very knowledgeable as well with what they have on tap and on the menu. Food: We had the Pickled Pizza and fries last night. A fan of pickles and pizza? Youre in for a treat! Each pizza is 12 big, so its basically a little bigger than a personal pizza, but still enough to share. The food on the menu all had descriptions for them so you could tell what was in what. Im definitely going to try out the entire menu. They even have a QR code at each table so you can order both food and drink, and pay without having to get up! Food came out after about 10-15 min of ordering, so about average time, I guess? We werent really paying attention to how long it was taking, but that was my best guess. Drinks: All the beers they have on tap, they have boards on the wall above the wall. From what I was told, they rotate out every week or so and some come back by popular demand. They did confirm that they will always have 24 different taps; that includes hard seltzers, IPAs, Belgian Tripels, Wheats, Ales, just to name a few. They even have juice boxes for the kids! Thats a big plus for me. They also do 6 beer flights and even cocktails for those who dont want to drink beer. Atmosphere: It was a chill night when we went. A few tables were occupied, but not crowded at all. Theyve got both high tops and regular tables that sit 4. I want to go back when its a bit more crowded to see what its like. For now, I liked it a lot! All in all, great place and Ill be coming back for sure! Parking: With it being in the corner, there is a big parking lot right outside. If theres no parking there, there is another lot, across the street, adjacent to Urban Rio. Kid-friendliness: They have board games, table top games, crayons and activity pages, and even an entire wall kids can draw on with chalk! They have juice boxes as well to drink. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp outside. Its a long, low-sloped ramp, which makes it fairly easy to go up.

We came here with a group of 6 for my husband s birthday. Everything was excellent. Between our group we tried the fried pickles, pretzel with beer cheese, reubin sandwich, bayou salad, foodoo burger, beer cheese mac and cheese, kids chicken nuggets, the fries, chips, beignets, and churros. Everything surpassed expectations and we will be back!

They use QR ordering and you can order a sample size of anything pretty much. Theres also cocktails and such of thats your thing its right next to one of the downtown Plano parking garages which is convenient as well

I originally gave this place a 3-star review on my first visit, due to not having any covered patio (I had my dog with me). Ive since gone back and updated it to 4 stars... the no covered patio is still disappointing, since its in a walkable area where a lot of people would probably like to sit outside when its not broiling hot. But the staff is super friendly and they have a good beer selection. Food is pretty good, its nothing extraordinary (I wouldnt come here just for the food if I wasnt drinking). Original review is below... Cool place, its close to me so I hope it does well. I just stopped in for a drink, so I cant comment on the food, but they had a good selection of beers on tap, including some local ones. One big knock (and the reason for 3 stars) is that the patio isnt covered. Its Texas, and even in March it was getting a bit steamy sitting outside with no covered patio. I also usually like to take my dog places if I can, but no covered patio is kinda a deal-breaker in Texas. Parking: Free parking lot, although it gets full pretty quick at HH time and on weekends. Theres additional free parking across the street, just a little walk. Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly. They have a kids menu and colors and some games for kids.

First time here, 6/8/24, Saturday we decided to try it for an early lunch. The store was not busy at all. My sister had the Pulled Pork sandwich with fries. I had the Rueben with carrots and celery sticks. The waitstaff seemed to not have any formal customer service training. I dont want to to too critical so Ill just suggest, to go for the beer, not the food.

As a craft beer enthusiast, I explore various breweries. Recently, I discovered this place via Google. Here s the lowdown: Beer Selection: Impressive variety, including a delightful IPA. Service: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pricing: Slightly higher prices compared to other breweries. Happy Hour: Sadly, no happy hour for drinks. In summary, a great spot for beer lovers, but be prepared for the cost. Cheers! Food: I ordered pizza and it is average.

This place opened up right next to us and my wife and I were extremely happy. We went to check it out recently and honestly weren t too pleased with the food. I understand it s a new spot and things are all coming together but there is definitely some room for improvement. We ordered a beer, a flight and the drinks were great. They also carry Manhattan project beer which is one of my favorites and that s awesome they collaborate with other breweries. The food was middle to low level the time I went. We ordered the nachos and the chicken wings. The nachos were strangely sweet and not bbq or anything that would elude you to think they would be sweet. The cheese was cold. And overall no bueno. Chicken wings were overcooked by at least 3-4 minutes. Extremely tough and dry meat, almost not edible. Sauce was good, we got a spicy garlic I believe. It must be tough starting a new spot up and I think this place has a lot of potential. I hope the owner or manager takes a hard look at the food, makes some adjustments and we ll definitely be back to try again.

Went there in the middle of the week and received amazing service. The bartender/waitress was wonderful, bubbly and engaging. She was clearly happy to be at work, even if it was a slow afternoon in the middle of the week. I went again for a self date night when they were doing Taylor Swift Music Bingo. I had surgery a couple weeks before and needed a fun excuse to shower and get out of the house. I ended up chatting with the owner, her daughter and having an amazing time. I even won a round! I go out a lot by myself, living alone and making time for myself to celebrate myself. I felt so comfortable here and will for sure go back for drinks, dinner and if not another event, at least a few chapters of my book.

Laid-back vibes and a variety of beers on tap make this an excellent hang with friends. Ive never been interested in sours, but Ive got to give to to Voodoo - the Lacto Kooler is out of the world. Pair it with some gooey beer cheese mac, dill pickle pizza or smoky pulled pork sandwich - youll be thanking me, I promise. And when youre done with the main, order some bread pudding to satisfy that sugar craving. It was definitely a great way to end the meal. The only improvements we hope to see - more pickles and some pickle juice squeezed over the dill pickle pizza, and the mac & cheese balls were a little dry and overdone. The seating was also starting to quickly fill up around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. Im not sure if they are able to to in the space - but additional seating would have been nice. We were told it wasnt possible to make reservations for a birthday, yet we saw signs on a table saying they were reserved for someone else, so this was also a bit frustrating.
