I came in to find a very specific wine and local craft beer for my out of town guests. I was introduced to the resident beer and wine experts who knew what I wanted right away. All the team members did their very best to help me find what I needed. Everyone I encountered was very kind, professional, and helpful.

Great selection, but hard to find help to find what youre looking for. The employees on the cash registers are more interested in their phones than helping customers that are lined up in front of them. Employees complain about their bosses and the store in front of customers.

This place is a scam. Prices are overpriced and at the same time I alway try to pay with my debit cards to have 5% off but they always have ridiculous excuses for that not working. At the end the cashier made me pay the full amount without even noticing me.

If you need help looking for a particular bottle, ask Thomas! He saw me browsing and immediately stopped restocking the shelves to offer assistance. I couldnt for the life of me think of a tequila I recently sampled at another specs, but he knew exactly what I was looking for. Crazy telepathic skills. This guy needs to be on salary @Specs. In a world where people are soft and afraid of eye contact, his assistance and service-based attitude really made all the difference. @Thomas, if Specs doesnt take care of you, find a sales or service-based role. You are natural at it, dont let people discourage you! Keep up the good work!

Specs was a Houston tradition for holidays and special occasions in Houston for years, and having expanded across Texas, the amazing selection and helpful, knowledgeable employees have maintained the quality and value Houstonians have prized! Each store has at least one employee conversant about wines, and they are worth consulting of you are uncertain about what to choose. All the employees have been extremely courteous and helpful. Highly recommended!

So my boyfriend went into this location and asked for 1/2pint of henny (mind you he s African American) she asks for his ID and looks at it and asks for a zip code then asks for the address ???? When do you ID someone for liquor and ask for their zip code and address???? Then she looks at him and looks at the ID and says I don t see much NJ licenses out here.... trying to make it seem like because he s black and doesn t have a Texas license yet it s a fake license. We won t be going to this location anymore.

Some people just get asked for ID, but I get the special treatment. Not only did the employee ask me to take out the ID, but he also bent it and swiped it. Of course he was not cognizant of giving a wipe with which I can clean my ID of the viruses he has come in contact with by interacting with all the customers. Also he could not bag a six pack of beer and bottle of wine properly. Ofcourse, he is selective about this special treatment and quality of service can take a hike.
