We visit this restaurant a lot even though is 35 miles from our house, food is delicious, pancakes, enchiladas, chile reyenos, chilaquiles, flower tortillas. I can go on on food is just amazing. Been going there for over 10 years one of our favorites for Mexican restaurants.

Service was excellent. The server was fast and friendly. As for the food, it was way too greasy. The meat should be strained for a few seconds before placing it into the tortilla. The rice was not flavored well, and the beans were bland and watery.

The service can be ify depending on who is there. Besides her service and what keeps us coming back for more is there food. It is authinticlly and feeshly made along with there fresh batch of chips and there chilli is deserving of a 5 stars. Not to often you find a good restraunt that makes fresh chips along with there food that can take you way back in memory of your mothers cooking when you got right her. Parking: You can park across the way at the church just dont for get to donate your gratitute to the Lord Jesus Christ and Vigin De Guadelupe. Anything helps the Church.

Hands down the best taqueria in Pasadena. Tampiquena was juicy and flavorful, tacos were crispy and seasoned perfectly, and the salsa was fresh beyond expectation. My second time here and I will keep coming back. Delicious!

Sweating while I ate my nachos today with my little family. We dropped our car off at the mechanic shop and walked here for lunch. We sat for an hour and the lady walks up to me and tells me they are closing. I had my son who is three. I was leaving anyways but it s the principal, it s not like I sat there and didn t order anything. I paid, rude rude rude. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all

This is still a good restaurant, but today I left the place under the impression of being overcharged. It went from 40 to 44 and then tax. So basically, the cashier added 4.00 as a tip. I encourage this business not to fall into this bad practice. Customers notice and take note. Besides tips are earned by giving good service, and not hidding it into the bill. Still good food, just a questionable practice. Taqueria Azucena, formerly Los Monteros, is a little restaurant across Food Town that serves good quality typical mexican dishes(not Tex-Mex). Here you can find Menudo, tampiqueña, alambres and my favorite, seafood soup. Tortillas are hand made. They also serve the traditional Mexican breakfast with coffee everyday. Service is quick although when it gets crowded would take longer than expected but is worth the wait. This restaurant has been going through some remodeling and I feel they should keep remodeling to get to the next level. Taqueria Azucena is a good choice if you want to have Mexican food made from scratch. Do not expect anything luxurious here just good food and good service.

It was the first time we came to have breakfast at this place. The waitress has an attitude when you ask them a question about your food and instead of answering they tell you that you are speaking badly to them. He speaks badly of her as an employee towards his clients and the restaurant. The food looks good but it is not as delicious as it looks. None of the employees are wearing a mask. I recommend that they change the waitresses to improve quality.

Today I tasted a real chorizo & papas taco. It was the first authentic chorizo that I finally found down here. It was excellent. I ordered some Chilaquiles from there once and they came out good so I chose to go again and order some again. But I m assuming they changed cooks?? The chilaquiles were basically tortillas soaked in red salsa instead of cooking in in Chile rojo.. they came out super spicy and sour, it was so hard to eat. I called to let them know because I spent money to eat my meal and it was not edible at all.. and they responded with okay? And idk what do you want us to do about it? Well I m calling Bc I wouldn t want somebody else to spend money on this and can t eat it at all.
