Second time coming here since they first opened. Initially the first visit wasnt great but decided to give them another go since theyve been opened a while now. First off there was a slight wait they were already getting busy (12pm) we sat at the bar and waited for our table. The bartender was excellent she knew what she was doing my husband always orders and old fashioned it was great. I tried the electric daisy that was tasty and not too much on the weak side. Later order a Cosmo bartender killed it again. We were called for our table the waitress Angelica was great. We had the shrimp for our appetizer oh my goodness they were so delicious we ate them all. Perfect crispyness and kick . I ordered the cedar plank salmon well done with Mac it was all so delicious I ate all my salmon. My husband had enchiladas and cauliflower both were excellent. It came with side of guac that was delicious too. Extremely happy with our meals, drinks and service. We will definitely come back. It did end out being a little pricey but totally worth it.

We went to breakfast there yesterday morning with family who were in town for a funeral. We got there at 8:15. It looked like the place was closed. I walked in & saw a waitress, & told her we were outside on the patio. I could tell she wasn t prepared for customers. We visited with family for a while, & she finally walked outside and asked what we wanted to start with. We got coffee w/ cream, & orange juice & 4 waters. She served our 3 cups of coffee, finally with cream, but wasn t too big on refills. Our coffees got cold before she served us one more cup. We were the only ones there, so they were not busy except for our group of 6 adults & 2 children. We finally were served a second cup of coffee, but no cream. We all order a meal. 4 ordered the $15 breakfast with bacon or sausage, potato s, & what was supposed to be 2 eggs. I make scrambled eggs all the time at home, no way was that 2 eggs on our plates. I ordered crispy bacon & it was so hard I couldn t eat it. & it tasted like leftover from the day before. The bread they made toast with was cheap white bread, really thin & skimpy,& more like a half piece of bread, & TASTED STALE!! We had eaten this same meal for Father s Day recently & it was all good. They used a specially bread with butter on it Father s Day!!! This was a skimpy piece of white bread, toasted with no butter. No butter or jelly was offered either. My sister said the waffle was Ok, but nothing special. The small children ate off their Mom & Dad s plate. This meal costs over $100. My brother in law picked up the tab. I was embarrassed that I recommended your restaurant to my out of town relatives based on what we had eaten for Father s Day. The atmosphere was nice & good for a couple of little ones under 5. The bathrooms were clean ed & well maintained. ,but the breakfast served to us was pathetic & the waitress acted like she could care less. However, I alway try to remember, I don t know what is going on her/their life & always am pleasant to servers, AND WE ALL WERE!!! . The waitress had no personality & never responded to any conversation we tried to engage her in. We all left generous tips too !! I probably won t waste my time going back there ever again for breakfast! We should have gone to a Denny s or a I-Hop & will next time where we know the food & coffee are always the same & good!! Maybe not as great an atmosphere, but at least you get good food & portions which was why we went out for breakfast!

Absolutely great food and worth it being pricier. The deviled eggs were good and the bacon bit on top went great with the egg. The pork chops were phenomenal! The tangy, mustardy, herbal sauce on top paired very well and the mashed potatoes were very creamy and buttery. The cornbread was great with delicious chunks on corn baked inside! Spectacular stop!

I wouldnt call it relaxed, as I see in the description. The menu reflected they are trying to go fancy. We were placed upstairs. The only issue was we were placed right next to a loud thumping sound. Ate here several months back last time I was in Texas and loved it so much it was at the top of my list upon returning to the area. Red Oak did it again! Dinner was so awesome I brought the entire family here for brunch the next day. I m sure there are other good places to eat in the Midland Odessa area but Red Oak is in a league of its own. Everything from cocktails to the salads and pizzas are amazing. And the atmosphere is super cool. Can t wait to come back!

The food in this place never disappoints. They have a small menu, but all options are very good. I have tried a few plates and I have no complains about any of them. The stuff has been consistently attentive and friendly. I have never had anybody in there providing poor service. The place is rather small inside, but they have a covered patio that is nice and enjoyable (except when it is over 100 degrees). I highly recommend this place. Very good and consistent.

The Cornbread is a MUST try. So delicious and buttery. The 3-dip appetizer and Spinach dip was AWESOME. Ate a second tri-dip platter as my entree it was so good. The rock shrimp was also fantastic. To start with the hostess that I think was a manager made us sit there to wait on a table when there was plenty of tables available. She was rude. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. That s why I gave a one star. The food was mediocre, we ordered an espresso martini, and the martini was missing the ingredients except for the espresso, I would not recommend dining here if you are wanting to have a nice evening and enjoy the atmosphere, my prime rib was grilled, not how prime rib should be served, charred. I think they can do better a lot better. The first bottle of wine we received was not good. It was warm. It should have been at a temperature that should be served for Cabernet.

I am very disappointed. Red Oak Kitchen has been one of my family s favorite places to eat for years, and I used to consider it one of the best restaurants in the Midland/Odessa area. However, tonight me and my family went to eat and received terrible, awful service. I always bring my dog (which is allowed) and we always sit outside, away from people. Typically, we are treated very well and no one has a problem with us sitting outside. Tonight, the hostess did not seem very happy about us being outside, but she still got us a table, which is fine. Unfortunately, a few moments later, another women who didn t even look like she worked here, essentially belittled us for sitting outside, acting as if the restaurant and staff had no clue we were out here and that it was our own fault that we were waiting. I m not sure the internal miscommunication that went down, but the hostess knew we were there, and I watched her put us down for a table, so I was sure that the staff was aware. Plus, we hadn t been waiting. We were outside for about 30 seconds at that. It was not OUR FAULT that anything happened. Food was mediocre, service was terrible. I shouldn t go to a restaurant just be treated like a child and have the staff act like I don t know how to get a table. I ve never had an issue before, very sad that I won t be going back for a while. I truly hope they fix this situation with they re disrespectful hostess and waiters, and that random lady who told us off, meanwhile she was wearing pajamas. Incredible disappointed. Everyone, save yourself and just go somewhere that guarantees good food and service. Not worth spending $150 on poor food and rude staff.

I was hoping for a peaceful Sunday morning breakfast at 8:30am. I intentionally beat the crowd to not feel rushed. Upon arrival Dallas was agitated and slammed the menus on the table after providing a one second wait time when asking where we would like to sit. She was loud and unwelcoming. Somehow my wife talks me into keep coming back to this place. The food is just mediocre, it isn t bad but it isn t good. We had brunch today and I got the prime rib hash, they should rename the dish to the potato and egg hash as there were only a few small chunks of meat in the skillet, the flavor was just ok but I had to add hot sauce to make it more enjoyable. I also got a waffle, and when the server sat the waffle on the table I thought it looked really good but one bite in and I was done, it was just bland. Every time my wife and I go there I always leave feeling this exact same way, and I always say that I won t be going back. I m gonna stick by it this time, there are much better restaurants in the area for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

I have loved this place from the start. It gets better and better. The service is impeccable, and I am always treated like family. SJ Vegetarian options: Mushroom Pizza, Cheese pizza. So much to list Parking: Plenty of space. Kid-friendliness: My daughter practically grew up here. She s a vegetarian and loves the Pizza or pancakes for brunch. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is great not cluttered.

Our brunch was very cold to the touch! Omelet had unmelted cheese and long cold pieces of ham. My French toast was barely warm, this confuses me. Anyways, this was once my absolute favorite place so I was more disappointed than anything. We moved away for 3 years and were excited to do brunch. We had been eating at C&P since they opened, so we are not new to this restaurant.

Its a real restaurant and bar, so expect close to Michelin-star quality. Its close to the hotels and perfect for executive lunches. Their drinks are great and they actually show the prices of them unlike other places. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Dont Wheelchair accessibility: No automatic doors, but tables a plenty.

Wow what a treat. We decided to stop by for dinner and it happened to be the best food we have had in some time. I had the mushroom pizza and wife had the fish tacos. She said it was definitely 5+stars. My pizza was delicious I couldnt of asked for better. Overall the experience was very special and the staff was super friendly. Will have to come back and try the other foods on menu.

Its a cozy place immediately next to Cork and Pig (Owned by them). A small afternoon crowd was there, but the service was fast. Friendly staff as well. The portions are the right amount too. The ice Hazelnut coffee was very nice without it being over sweet. The Mexico City Enchiladas were flavorful, the rice and black beans pair great together and the sauce over the enchiladas had a rich taste with a hint of tomato. The Ceder Plank Salmon was delicious as well. Very tiny kick of spice to it, but not enough to overwhelm you. The seasonal vegetable was asparagus. Cooked with enough spring in them to eat, but not flimsy and soggy.

Our server was wonderful, the food was not. Cork & Pig knock off. The menu is almost identical, even the linens and flatware are copied from CPT. No pepper shaker on the tables. Waiter said, people were complaining that the tables were too crowded so we left the salt, hot sauce, candle and sugar caddy That makes no sense. Ditch the hot sauce and sugar caddy if you need to spare room. I had the blackened ribeye. The presentation was nice and it was cooked to temperature, however, blackening seasoning on a steak should be a crime. The recipe for a perfect steak=Salt &Pepper. Also, there was a ton of gristle and fat! Perhaps run specials of Steak Medallions one night so you can trim the fat and not waste meat, but I would have never served a subpar cut for such a premium price. Brussel sprouts were mushy; they were cooked way too long.

I don t usually give poor reviews but we had heard so many good things that we wanted to try this place. It was our first and last time. We ended up walking out before ordering food. We felt very dismissed. First they had use wait for almost 40 minutes and then seated us at a table right inside the door that had been empty the entire time we waited. We asked to be moved, which they accommodated but the table behind us seemed more important and we couldn t even get menus (even after we asked for them). The staff was very nice but they definitely need some training on service.

Way over priced! A beer was 8$ for a 16oz glass, that was the first thing I didn t like. Then all the dishes were 30-40. As soon as that skimpy appetizer came out I cashed out I wasn t even going to try the food. The nachos looked like something you d get at a kids baseball game.

EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE. Started with deviled eggs and the chips and spinach dip as appetizers. Then the main course. SWORDFISH STEAK! it was so delicious and perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. Desserts were chocolate ice cream covered brownie and their banana creme pie. If you want to forget youre in Odessa for a meal, this is the place to eat.
