We went for a date night at a local pizza place and ice cream at the square, and it surprised me how many people were there. It was crowded with college kids, and the vibe was happy and friendly

Fun little downtown square for the whole family. A little bit of history with a little new age vibes. Cool old school candy shop with coastal atmosphere. Super cool 50s Soda Shop that has ice cream and much more sweet treats. Lots of good restaurants.

Hailing from the DFW area, Dentons own Downtown Square has been a mainstay that remains quaint and fun. Decades of work have contributed to the historic square. With the court building at center, enjoy the variety of ice cream, chocolate bonbons, vintage clothing, afternoon tea, live music, and that one guy who holds the signs. If you know, you know. Great for ppl watching, picnics, and finding a bench for a seat. Pretty safe, just watch for petulant drivers showing off their jacked up trucks.

Denton Square is so cool, lots of people just enjoying the scenery,& chill layed back style . Something for everyone: candy, coffee, greT restaurants, courtthouse lawn where people frequently pull out a blanket or lawn chair under the string lights of the square, and often here live music. Theres the great purple bookstore, dog people., flowers, wine tasting, out door eating , pawn shop.. Every first sat. of December is tree lighting festival! Took our kids there for 10 years. Theres lots of diversity with having 2 major Universities here. Young and old will e joy!

The Denton square is wonderful for kids family friends to hangout its just crazy to walk to much traffic so many stop lights. But after all its my favorite. Food fun activities shopping everywhere perfect for outdoors and yummy food and shopping and catching up with close friends. If you have nothing to do go to the sqaure this is fun place and safe for my knowledge.

Im a little biased because I have quite a few good memories from exploring this area with people. The location is ideal on the right day (when the weather isnt too hot or cold) to explore the local shops around the square and possibly visit the old courthouse (if its open). The parking isnt the best, but if you plan to be in the area for a full morning or afternoon, youre good.

Always something good to do up here. Lots of little groups that come up to do various things. Such as bongo drum celebrations on Thursday nights. I believe. Maybe Fridays. Saturday mornings is just a roundhouse bluegrass people that get together and play a bunch of instruments.
