Its a hit or miss i think, depending on what sushi rolls you order. The hibachi sometimes is too salty fried rice. Other rolls are still good

The kaze on Greenville is much better. The food here is overcooked. Their staff even admits the kitchen sucks. Customer service is trash. The manager and the little girls that help her in to go all have attitudes and don t know how to do make up. The manager is musty. They take a while to get your order together and it s just not worth the price in my opinion. I know hibachi is generally overcharged but good atmosphere and service makes the price worth it. Not here. I would recommend trying another location for Kaze. I ve had better experiences elsewhere.

Decided to stop in mesquite for combination fried rice because we didnt feel like driving to Dallas. Usually I read reviews before I eat anywhere but I didnt this time because it was something as simple as fried rice and this was a big mistake! Poor quality everything and for this reason, it reminded my i avoid restaurants in mesquite! Got home ,we read the reviews and saw everything from mice falling from the celing, filth , managers being argumentative when customers ask for refund on the food they dislike or purchaseed, poor customer service, improper storage for the seafood(sushi) and racism from the manager. Want the hibachi experience, cut your gsp on and venture out. I promise theres a ton of places that go above and beyond your expectations for what you pay for here! Good luck

The service at the hibachi grill was very rushed by the server Ram. They acted like they were inconvenienced when people had questions and was very short with everyone. The food was good, but unfortunately overpriced, especially considering they automatically include gratuity when you sit at the hibachi grill.

This place is unbelievably unprofessional. They seriously followed my husband and I out after we changed our minds and didnt want to eat here based on how poorly we were treated by the server before we ordered any food. My husband took one small, barely noticeable sip from his drink and they FOLLOWED US OUT TO OUR CAR TO ASK IF WE WALKED OUR BILL. Like are you serious? Please be so ffr right now. The host and the server both confronted my husband about walking the bill. If hed drank it all, Id understand that, but one sip? I offered them $0.10 for it but for whatever reason they didnt take it. They seem more interested in berating people and offering piss poor service over providing great food and great customer service. Its really gone downhill and doesnt seem to be improving. If youre interested in a horrible time, this is the place to go!

When you first walk into the restaurant, it stinks. They have a sign saying wait to be seated, but yet there is no one there to greet you. So you have no choice but to walk in and go up to the bar. When I went in, there was a man there that saw I was coming his way, and he turned it back to me. A lady got his attention which made him turn back around to me yet he still did not acknowledge my presence until a few minutes later. I thought that was extremely unprofessional, because it was very clear that he could see I was waiting. I ordered my food and waited for it to be ready. The wait time was a little longer than it should have been and I had to check on the status of my food. When I taste my food, I must say that it was tasty, but I did not like that they used fake crab meat. When you pay for an expensive roll you would think that real meat will be used. I hope this restaurant does better. Next time I have had a better experience in the past.

Service has gone way down since the last we visited. It seemed that we couldnt get what we needed. I had to ask for limes at least 3 times after I ordered a water with lime but was brought lemon. We were brought the salad, but waited for soup--eventually had to ask the waiter/remind him to get the soup. The chef was already there when we finally received the soup. Its been awhile, and we try not to go into Mesquite, but our usual hibachi place had a long wait(Kyoto in Rockwall). We thought to go back to our old stomping ground. Something has changed with the salad also. While the lettuce was very fresh, the dressing has changed (not for the better! )and seems very watered down. The prices are much higher, and they dont even have the ability to make an Old Fashioned. One positive is that they dont charge extra if you opt for fried rice(other hibachi may charge $2.50 or more extra when you choose to have fried rice). On the same note, if you ask for streamed rice, no discount is applied. I am disappointed with being crammed into a hibachi table with another family of 4. That made a total of 8 at the table, and we didnt have much room. Six to 7 is a better number, especially if mostly adults. Unfortunately, I think this was our last time here. Vegetarian options: The veggie hibachi option includes tofu. When Ive had this before, it was very good. Plus, you can opt for streamed rice instead of fried, since they put eggs in the fried rice.

He doesn t do it to the male workers only females and won t leave them alone. A man in the same grill we were dinning at had to tell him something so he would leave the waitress alone. It is uncomfortable for the workers and customers that come to eat. The service provided by the workers/ waitress and cook is good aswell as the food but the manager should be payed attention to.

We had a short wait time for a hibachi table. The service was pretty good. The food was good. The seasoning on the food was great! The atmosphere was very busy. The table seemed small as far as having barely any leg room. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I had a better show at a competitor. The atmosphere could have looked better on the inside. However, the place was clean, and our chef even wore a facemask. I wish we could have had a more interactive experience. The hibachi meal includes your choice of protein, soup, salad, and 2 pieces of grilled shrimp. I rarely like the soups at these types of places, and it was excellent! The salad had a different type of dressing than I am used to, but it was fine. Some other people in my group thought the dressing was too sweet. We had fried rice, which was tasty. I had Filet Mignon. Some other people had NY Strip with Chicken and California Rolls or other Sushi rolls there. Vegetarian options: The vegetable options are better and fresher here than other places. It included: white onions, green bellpeppers, carrots, and mushrooms. I was very pleased with the broccoli. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids were there. A kids menu meal was about $12 each.

I went on a trip to Dallas and wanted to eat Japanese food, so I visited this restaurant near my accommodation. I came here without any expectations, but it was really delicious. In particular, my daughter gave a thumbs up to the salmon roll, saying it was so delicious, and the udon soup was so refreshing and the best udon Ive ever had in the US. The hoedeopbap had a lot of raw fish and was thick, and the seasoning was delicious, so it was the best hoedeopbap Ive ever had. Not only the food but also the service was really great. They took great care to ensure that we could eat without any inconvenience, so our whole family felt grateful and happy when we returned home from the meal. If youre in Dallas, I highly recommend stopping by. Thanks to you, I made great memories in Dallas. Next time I visit Dallas again, I definitely want to come back.

Interesting experience, because the food and service were top notch (I had hand sushi rolls). The atmosphere was a little odd though. Its mostly not directly because of the resturant though. The part that wasnt the resturant was the little kids running around my table and listening to videos on tablets with the volume on max (LOL). It wasnt horrible, but it was a bit annoying. The part that was their fault was the restroom. It was clean-ish and had some kind of weird rope on the door handle. I think it was there as an alternative to using the door handle (IDK). It looked like the perfect thing to collect and incubate germs. All of that being said... would I go back... uh... mmm... yep I would, because the food and service was THAT good.

Kaze Sushi has become a regular spot for me and my partner. Great food, atmosphere, and customer service. We love trying adventurous dishes such as the avocado bomb which is almost exactly what it sounds like, a battered ball of avocado and sushi divided into four pieces. Even if I try something new and end up not liking it, Im still usually glad that I took a chance on it.

The menu has changed a lot. Pretty limited on the non habachi side. I paid 20 dollars for teriyaki chicken and it was pretty meh. Didnt really taste like teriyaki and it was just these tiny pieces of chicken. Also why is so hot in there!? My booth seat was all torn and the whole place seems a but ragged. Overall I think its overpriced and the menu could showcase more japanese cuisine

Loved the hibachi experience, the chef and waiter were amicable and funny. They played jokes on my little nephew and did everything with such joy it made the evening a pleasant outing. Food was well done, my favorite was the fried rice and avocado sushi rolls. 2023: Still a great experience just higher prices as is with everything else lately. They have a large selection of sushi rolls.

Server was attentive, polite and encouraging. Chef was engaging and entertaining. He fulfilled special requests like cooking fried rice well done for me. It is very warm inside. (Afterall, the grill is hot ) Sweet Tea would be a welcomed beverage option. I had an Arnold Palmer. My first indoor Hibachi experience was good -> great.

This restaurant could be awesome. The atmosphere is awesome if you can look past the plain decor. I guess because of the location it is still looked like a country restaurant. The bathroom is filthy with floors you could ice skate on because it is so yucky. I will post a picture. Food ws mediocre compared to Benihana. THAI SQUARE IN SUNNYVALE AND THE CHINESE BUFET SUSHI IN MESQUITE ARE BETTER AND CHEAPER. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO REEVALUATE THEIR DECOR TYPE AND WMPDEL THE BATHROOM. THEY ALSO NEED TO PUT UP A SIGN FOR THE EMPLOYEES TO FILLOUT FOR HOURLY CLEANING.

Well..my original review from almost 4 years ago was a 5 . My visit from 2 days ago on 7/28/23 is barely pushing 3 ..And thats being generous. Long story novel, My daughter got sushi & I had hibachi. The miso soup is 100% not miso...It literally tasted like someone threw chicken bouillon in hot tap water and threw a raw mushroom & a few pieces of green onion in it. You can tell its a proper miso when you see the cloudiness once you stir the soup. Their accompanying salad was awful as well. The dressing was nothing more than watered down mayo..absolutely no flavor & not the same gingery dressing they used to serve. Was inedible & I asked the server if they changed the dressing bc she questioned why we didnt eat the salad. That being said, both soup & salad was a miss. Onto the Philly & salmon rolls. Philly tasted ok, but the salmon roll, the nori was almost impossible to chew threw. Its as if the roll was made days ago, but tried to keep moist with a wet paper towel. They were also not the same size rolls I remember either. They were quarter size in diameter. And for what Kaze charges for these is insane. (yes I get inflation, but I can get a far better roll from Target for about $4 cheaper). They also used to do lunch deals on those basic rolls too. Moving on, the hibachi part of the meal was really good. I got the lunch filet, and the chef prepared it perfectly. No complaints there. On to service. At 1st, the young lady seemed nice. But upon requests for other drinks, soy sauce etc. It seemed like it had inconvenienced her. She specifically asked me if I wanted another beer, I said yes please, and I never saw her again until she asked if I wanted a box for my food. Upon returning with the boxes, she also brought the check. Didnt ask if we wanted dessert or anything. At that point, I figured she just wanted everyone gone. I combed over the bill to make sure she didnt charge me for the beer she was supposed to get me. She didnt. At least I think she didnt. Was surprised to see a 12oz beer to be $7 but hey, inflation I guess. The sodas were also very watered down, which is why we switched it to a Ramune. Still got charged for the soda. What I was shocked to see was that the gratuity of 15% was added already to the bill, for a party of 2. Thats too bad because I was going to leave her a 20% cash tip, (even though the service imo didnt reflect such generosity) also bc she seemed in a hurry for us to leave, so I wouldnt bother her to correct the bill. Best was hibachi chef...everything else needs major improvement.

I really like it here. It s cozy and quiet during the day and you can normally get friendly service. Lately you it s a hit and miss. I am rushed at times or after initial drink order at hibachi you may get little interaction from the wait staff with no one much in the restaurant. I will still return as the food is fresh and tasty.

Our Hibachi chef was wonderful and our server was pretty attentive as well. We were seated promptly as a group of 5 at at Hibachi table by the door. Overall the food was good. However, their a/C was not working so it was pretty toasty despite them having fans. They were pointed away from us so we didn t really feel much circulation being in the corner.

Food was very bad. Ordered a rice bowl and received a bowl that was filled over 50% with lettuce and very little rice. Spoke to an employee who confirmed that this is feedback they receive often. The actual quality and flavor of the two bowls we received was pretty bad too. Being very hungry after barely eaten all day, we still struggled to finish our dishes. The chili sauce that came with the bowls barely had any spice to them and the extra spicy sauces we ordered barely remedied the very bland and flavorless food. Only upside was that the service we received was very good. Even the servers that not assigned to our table did a great job in helping out when we requested it or appeared to need assistance. I would hope that they fix their menu options but given the fact that this level of quality doesn t seem to bother Mesquite guests, I doubt that will happen any time soon.
