Cant say anything negative about Derek and his team. He saved me and my family from a life changing situation of dealing with my debt after losing a job I was at for 5 years. He coached us and helped with our Chap 7 BK. Just do everything he asks you to do and you will be fine and DO NOT hang on to that CAR you love so much. Originally I thought I going with T&P was a blessing. After the fact, its been a nightmare. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE! FOLLOW UP by calling all your debt collectors to make sure the paperwork was actually received. I found out after my bankruptcy was finalized that my mortgage and auto loan was not reaffirmed because the paperwork was not received. I can prove I sent it. T&P says it was sent to the lenders but when asked for tracking or proof of delivery, I received no reply. Lenders say it was never received. Now Im making payments that I will never receive credit for making. The only way to fix is to refinance, but my credit was hit hard by the bankruptcy and will take years to fix. I have no recourse. Be smarter. Follow up. Do not trust that everything was done.

Derek is the best attorney you can find here in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and in fact in the USA when it comes to bankruptcy He has the expertise , the knowledge.. honest , very straightforward and our initial consultation that was free calmed us down as we were in a very frightening stress situation with credit card debts that piled and with junk debt collectors after us with harassing calls at home , at my wifes work and even pasting lawsuits at our neighbors residences . I had an extremely positive experience filing for Ch. 7 Bankruptcy with Toronjo & Prosser. It was difficult for me to gather the means to pay for my filing, and to find the required documentation, and Derek was incredibly patient and accommodating in putting together my case. In one instance, I actually received a refund from a remorseless creditor shortly after my case was filed! I did research before filing and choosing which firm I would go with. I could not be more pleased with my decision. They are extremely knowledgeable, incredibly relatable and yet very professional. They have an exceptional level of integrity. They made things easy on me and everything ran smoothly despite my extreme anxiety over the whole thing. I recommend having all your ducks in a row (all required information, ie. creditor list, income information, expense list...ready and saved/backed up) before the last minute. I found that, in doing so, it made both of our jobs easier. I also recommend asking questions so you understand what is needed and/or happening. There was no pressure to get to the filing. Meaning, Derek helped me understand my options months before I decided to file and I was not hounded to do it on anyones timeframe but my own. That being said, once I got the ball rolling, there are definitive timeframes for each part of the process to ensure success. And Id like to point out that he provided me with excellent customer service and did a ton of research for me to not only help me decide whether or not to file but which chapter I would qualify for WITHOUT a solid commitment to proceed. I mean, who does that? THESE GUYS! They do an excellent job of giving you feedback and status updates at each step in the process. Their email communications contained information that seemed to anticipate any potential issues. I recommend keeping all of your correspondence in one place. Not only are their fees reasonable, but they also let you pay out their fees if you dont have the money upfront. You need only have the filing fee in a lump sum upfront. So, if you find yourself in a situation that requires you to file, take a deep breath, realize most of us are a paycheck or two away from devastation and you arent a bad person or a total screw up. I honestly don t think I could have been in better hands than with Mark Toronjo & Derek Prosser. I was referred to their firm by another attorney who wasn t able to take my case. He said, If I were in your shoes, I would call these guys. I was terrified at first, but I made the call & it was after 6pm on a Friday evening, I m sure of it.
