We went for a seminar so our experience may not be typical. Our servers were kind of scarce when we needed them and the food took a long time to be served. When we finally got it, the steak was over done. They did correct it with a new steak but by then it was very late. At least they acknowledged and tried to correct and the replacement steak was very good. Maybe wouldve been better to get a gift card for another day.

I have to this location 6 times. Normally everything is superb. Bar tender was distracted by who knows what as I waited for a while to get served and others at the bar complained and asked if this was normal. I told them no maybe just a bad night. Order the Quail legs, they are out of this world.

Nonsense! Just because you are a chain restaurant.. doesn t mean you should serve sub par food! Queso salty and runny, bread was cold flavorless and butter wasn t enough for one slice asked for more and got one little container for 4 people! Laredo Chicken smelled horrible I didn t even take one bite! A lot of money for some mediocre food is unbelievable in this day and age! So dark in the restaurant you can barely read the menu much less see the food. This was our second attempt and somehow was worse than the first time. Low budget food at high price! No pics because I didn t want to have to use my flash! That s probably why it s so dark! Shameful!

My husband and I decided to pick up some food for our anniversary dinner. We have not been to this location in a few years and now we know why. The steaks were horrible. One was so well done you couldnt even cut it, the medium rare was more medium and tough as hell. My sons chicken fried chicken was merely a small frozen chicken patty and barely any mashed potatoes. We ordered the rib dinner for our youngest son and it was half a rack and they were very dry. So to say the least this was the worst anniversary dinner we have ever had. We have always loved the food at Saltgrass, but will not be returning to this location. The only thing that was edible was the bread. You pay over a 100 dollars for a nice dinner, you expect to get quality food.

Been to Salt grass in southern Texas traveling for work. Figured this would be a great pit stop before a long drive to my hotel. Customer service was great, but the food was not. The complimentary bread barely had any flavor. The Brisket Queso was overly salty. I got the Steak & Cake and the crab cake tasted overwhelmingly like fish, the steak was way too soft and chewy.. it almost tasted like fake meat. My husband got the steak trio and one of them tasted overwhelmingly like horseradish, the shrimp one was over cooked, and the mushroom topping was just no good/barely had any flavor. The best part of the whole dinner were the drinks.

Our server Sierra lacked the skills to focus on the guest. She was talking with someone else, and ignored us. She had to be asked to fill our waters and ask us if we wanted bread. Something we have never been asked before. The worst she never ask us how we wanted our steaks cooked, she came back after we ordered. Sierra needs retraining on how to serve guests. Our steaks were off the charts outstanding. However my mashed potatoes were dry, luke warm, not much flavor. Guess to say our steaks were the hit of our experience. The rest was just mediocre.

I give this place five stars because the food was a cut above the rest. I had the ribeye steak which exploded with robust flavor. The fried mushrooms were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Went to salt grass for dinner on Friday night. Awesome service staff, she was attentive, smiling and so positive . We tried a Texas t bone steak , grilled red fish , BBQ ribs & grilled shrimp combo along with fried onions for appetizer. The loaded baked potato, sweet potato fries were amazing too.The food was all awesome and to the right done ness. Would surely recommend the steak and also the grilled shrimp, were top notch. The only bad thing was one of the cutlery was dirty, I would assume a fine dining restaurant setting like this would have staff looking at it before placing it on a table. The ambiance was awesome, the sides of soup and salad was very good too. Surely a must visit again place .

Macklin the Waiter was a Joy! He recommended the Ribeye Steak and it was tasty. I still found Texas Roadhouses Ribeye Steak to be juicier. Macklin also suggested the same Day I try the Ribs even though he doesnt indulge in them so I returned 3 Days later for the Ribs and enjoyed them but BJ Brewhouses Ribs were better to me. I didnt care for the Brown Wheat Bread served with both Meals. I prefer The Cotton Patch, Cheesecake Factory and/or Texas Roadhouses Bread. Saltgrass Steak House Hamburgers are the best Ive had since moving to Dallas. Macklin also ranted and raved about the Mac & Cheese so I ordered it in which I absolutely do NOT normally order unless dinning at a Soulfood Restaurant and I was pleasantly pleased as it was good and not soupy or too creamy.

We ordered 3 meals and an appetizer. Only got 2 of the meals, the food arrived cold and undercooked to boot. Got a replacement order placed and delivered only to receive it cold and not only still missing the 3rd meal, now missing the app and a salad. I was here for the first time for dinner and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the shrimp cranberry salad and my shrimp were undercooked! A manager came over and took the plate to have them remake it. She was not rude but the customer service was mediocre. I apologize more for me having to send it back than she did for giving me under cooked shrimp. The remake comes back out and my shrimp are severely overcooked and smaller then the previous ones! The salad was a $19 plate! I didn t complain because what s the point . The manager never came back to the table and no discount was given for the inconvenience or the overly cooked shrimp. Then the waiter brings me the bill and on the bill there is a way you can pay on the website so that s how I paid! The waiter comes back to pick up the bill and payment and I informed him, I scanned the QR code and paid. I even showed him on my phone the confirmation receipt! He tells me to wait at the table until he verify because sometimes it doesn t work! This experience was very frustrating.

First time visit to this location. Lunch hour and we were seated right away. Service was on spot, continue to make sure we were ok with drinks and bread. Our meals came to the table in about 20 min. We both had ribeye steaks. Hers was served with sweet potato fries. Mine was Cajun seasoned ribeye with salad and mashed potatoes. Mine had shrimp and crawfish topping but was not very spicey at all. Walked in with a larger group and was seated a few minutes after. Was told someone would be with me shortly. I waited for about 10 minutes and no one came by to get drink order. I was about to leave when asked by hostess if they had came to help me. I replied no and that I was going to leave, then I promptly left. What is so hard about decent service nowadays?

Party of five on a Sunday evening was very pleased with the service as well as the food. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the appetizers were delicious. We were traveling for sports and wanted to experience a Texas Steak Dinner and Saltgrass definitely didn t disappoint. Would 100% recommend this restaurant.

I normally love Saltgrass Steakhouse, I try to stop here when I am close to one. As always, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was excellent. But the schlub behind the bar does not belong in the customer service industry, he honestly made me want to leave because of his depressing attitude. Thankfully Dylan was also behind the bar and he redeemed the experience. I came back again but made sure to sit at a table instead of in the bar.

We were placed at a table that was so small that we had to have unfinished appetizers removed to make room for the main course. Wine from the menu was not available. Waitress unapologetically got our order wrong. The steak meal was decent. The salmon with crab, which cost a fortune, was tiny, maybe four ounces, and dry. There was maybe two tablespoon of crab on top. This is not exaggeration, it was embarrassingly pathetic. If this was a cheap, low-cost restaurant ,the quality might be acceptable, but this meal for two cost more than one hundred dollars before tip. All we wanted was a relaxing meal after a long week, but what we got was uncomfortable and unpleasant. This was our first and last visit.
