The meat was seasoned great. The tortillas were the star of the show tbh. Wish they were thicker tbh my taco kinda busted through the tortilla by the time I got home and picked it up to take a bite. But it makes sense because that meat was JUICY so . It makes sense.

Gave it a star for their handmade tortillas. Cash only, conveniently there s an ATM inside. Hand written receipts really? Food: no flavor, no seasoning, not fresh. And the service, well, the lack there of! Rude, no smile, no thanking, sorry I interrupted your day, lady! Never again, definitely DO NOT recommend this place.

I ordered the huarache, and the meat was burned and old. It seemed that it was precooked for a few hours and served during lunch. The salsas were very good. I dont think my 3 coworkers and I will be going back to this place.

The food is good. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because tortillas are big but the meat in our tacos was very little. And we ordered a chicken taco and the chicken was just boiled and shredded. Not seasoned. The food tastes good the reason I dont give it five stars is because the steak tacos the tortilla is large and it is handmade but very little meat. (I get more meat in a taco than a small tortilla.) and the chicken was just cooked and shredded without seasoning. The place was very quiet.

It is a good place to try 100% Mexican food whenever I have the opportunity, I stop by to eat at this taqueria, the service is good, the atmosphere is all normal and the food is prepared to your liking, the cooks at this place are undoubtedly the good ones. sazon, there is another place like this in Richarson but it is not the same as this one, here what you order is prepared the way you want I am not saying that in the other place it is not good of course it is but the staff is different and that changes the seasoning of a good dish, here with two tacos it is served, they are super large and very well prepared. What I like to eat here the most are the pastor tacos, and the golden tripe ones are my favorites, I am honest, I have not tried them anywhere else. tripe tacos as they order them, this place is undoubtedly the best, 100% recommended.

The handmade tortillas are phenomenal. The tacos are big and i really enjoyed them! 2 would ve been plenty for me but I wanted to try multiple different types of meats. I tried the pastor, carnitas and cabeza. All were good. The carnitas was by far my favorite, so flavorful. The pastor was really good, unless they had a trompo in the back out of site, I didn t see one and the pastor meat wasn t shaved like it would be off a trompo but nonetheless the way they did them, I really enjoyed. The cabeza was good, but just lacked a little flavor/seasoning compared to the other 2. They give you a baggy with limes, and a mix of cilantro , onions and cucumbers. I got 2 limes for 4 tacos, so def could ve used more like and more cilantro/onion. (Personal preference) The salsas were really good but spicy. The orange spicier than the green, but both had a kick so test before you dump them on. Enjoyed the horchata as well. A touch on the sweet side for my preference but good! All the signs are in Spanish around the restaurant, I m not sure if they spoke English, I didn t ask, was a good opportunity to practice my Spanish! And you don t need to know much to be able to order! Cash only!

Not sure why I hadnt visited this place, but im glad that i did, ordered a spicy pork sandwich, very impressed by its size, very flavorful. Only thing they need to improve is they should give me more lime and chopped onions and cilantro. Anyway, apparently its too big for me, would go with tacos next time.

I have been visiting this taqueria for many years. Always been satisfied with the food. Today 12/18/21 I ordered the same dish as always (carnitas quesadilla) this comes accompanied with salad. The salad always comes a little wet, thats okay. This time the salad was bad, very bad. I notified them and they said no. I complained again and they told me there was nothing they could do. I didnt expect them to discount me because the truth is its not more than $1.50. But the answer was we cant do anything, the salad is good. Completely disappointed. I was hoping for some empathy .

This is Candelarias taqueria located in lewisville first time there my cousin a regular customer for years took me there and it was great the location the place is small real clean it gets pack on weekends I order a quesadilla it was real big I had half and half carnitas and mushrooms their salsa nice and I was so hungry I split the 2nd one with my cousin customer service was excellent I need to comeback

Today, Friday, 5/11/21, my husband stopped to eat lunch here and he took his 7 workers and they ordered 8 cakes to eat there. When they received them, everyone was surprised because the bread was big. They thought I was going to make a delicious cake, but when I tried, I cut it. In the middle it looked like plastic because they didnt even do that and it was cold despite how big it was when you opened it there was nothing inside. We ordered the carne asada because they didnt have fajita. What they found inside was pure lettuce, a bunch of jalapenos and 5 pieces of meat. It was terrible and embarrassing because all his people left most of it on the plate and at the time of paying he wanted to pay with a card but they told him only in cash because the ATM was there. It made my husband even more angry to know that apart from paying $129 it wasnt even worth the 129 dollars and cents for those poor cakes. Plus having to pay for the ATM to get cash. Thats why my husband doesnt recommend this restaurant to people who dont care if the customer comes back or is satisfied, and if my husband gets his way, this stinking establishment goes up in flames because thats how they dont treat customers who spend their money. hard earned money!

If you want authentic Mexico City or Central Mexico tacos this is the place to go, it feels like home. Its pretty rare to find shops like these because most of the Mexican population that live in Texas are Northern Mexican, I was happy and surprised when I found out they were from the south central area cause I havent had any authentic stuff from that area in over a decade. The size is great the salsa is great, the prize is reasonable, the owner and manager are good hard working people. To the folks that say otherwise are clearly not cultured enough to know that each taco restaurant specially if its owned by a family will have their own way of making tacos and condiments. Theres no such thing as a perfect taco unless your used to (Chipotle, Taco Bell, Taco Cabana, Cantina Laredo, Abuelos, El Fenix etc) you know, what people here in the US are used to and thats cool, cause thats all they know. This is that good authentic stuff from the heart of Mexico.
