The staff was very rude, bad treatment by the manager, they called him Yostin, Justin, something like that... the food is quite expensive for the portion they give. I dont know how people like that can be in charge of a place, I made a claim because the chicken had blood and he replied that I should eat it like that, that he didnt care.

I travel over a hour for this particular spot as everytime before today was pretty good. But today, was heinous. First, its FILTHY. The floor is peeling up and sticky Tables, counter and drink station all Gross. The bathrooms, DISGUSTING and smells of raw sewage with no AC. The food has gone down hill. Part of the attraction was the amount of food you got for the price. Welp we order 20 wings and got 12 full wings and 8 partials. Literally half sized.....and the coleslaw we usually love, was um....yellow. we didnt eat that. Also theyre water is out in the kitchen so theyre getting it from the drink station......also the drink selection is out of 3 drinks , but they will sell you a drink cup and not tell you that...... We wont be back to this location and I will be contacting the country health dept.

Great place for Korean style fried chicken. Got a mix of wings and drumsticks, medium, and bulgogi fries for 2 people and could not finish it because big portion. Chicken pieces were big, crispy, juicy and most importantly yummy. Best Korean style fried chicken in DFW that Ive tried so far!

Food is offffffffff the chain. Soy Garlic and the Spice Sauce is what that is. We order the bulgogi fried rice, and it didnt need any extra seasoning, no soy sauce at all. Seasoned to perfection. Seasoned Fries had alot of flavor, my 11 month old tore them up. No complaints at all. Service was second to none. Definitely had to bring all the left overs home. Prepare for a long wait. There was only one customer before us, and they took way too long(30+ mins). Dont come hungry, just be prepared to wait, so bring a snack. Chicken was OK and tasted the overhypeness from the first bite (view pic). Also, change the air filters.

Weve had delivery/takeout chicken from this location many times and always loved it. However, I think there was a recipe change. The skin itself isnt fried, but there is just a shell of batter. The radish and coleslaw seemed old and not fresh. Maybe it was an off night, but we will probably wait a bit to order again.

We walked in and were greeted by someone working. We were new here and unsure of what to order, the guy at the front didnt help or recommend anything. We took our time and he was patient with us while we figured things out. Typical seating arrangement, nothing big or fancy. I can see how ordering to go would be beneficial here if they are busy. We went on a Sunday for lunch around 2 and it wasnt too busy. We ordered the pot stickers, half spicy and half dry. An order of the bulgogi Fries. And an order of the small, 12 piece, Korean BBQ wings. Everything was so fresh, delicious, savory, hot, and crunchy. Im already ready to go back and enjoy more food! They have a lot of options here and all sound delicious. This is a thread I will happily come back and update as we try more food!

Takes forever for someone to come to the register. The wings, fries and onion rings are good. But the spicy chicken tacos are not good. Not enough chicken in my opinion. Also, they charge you for condiments (other than ketchup)if you go with multiple people, it s best to order like a platter or the large set of chicken. It s really pricey per person.

I had taken a break from this Bonchon location after a couple of mediocre visits. That was about a year ago. Ive gone back a few times more recently and the food and the service have been top notch each time. I usually get the wings with the spicy sauce and extra crispy. Tonight, I asked for five soy garlic and 15 spicy wings and they were perfectly cooked and the glaze on both were delicious. The person taking the order is very friendly and gets the order right, something that hasnt always been the case.

This just has the popular Bonchon name, but definitely lacks the quality taste and just drenched in saltiness and the red sauce to cover up certain dark fried chicken pieces. OMG!!! The wings are so HUGE and very very good. They re traditionally battered deep fried wings then tossed in they re Korean barbecue sauce. I don t normally write reviews but the taste, the SIZE of the wings, and most importantly VERY reasonably priced. Wanna try some wings and are tired of your usual spot? Trust me, you won t be let down.

This place was absolutely delicious. This was our first time here. Its a quiet place, not too busy, so we got helped pretty quickly. Our food came out in a timely manner and was piping hot! We ordered the half and half, It is crispy and flavorful on the outside but the chicken itself is pretty dry and plain, tastes like frozen chicken wings directly out of the freezer. I ordered a 10 piece drumstick order and fried rice for pick up on Uber eats. The drumsticks were incredibly small and scrawny. A few barely had any meat on them. The fried rice was ok, not worth $15. When I called about the size of the drumsticks, the employee I spoke to said that they had given us a few extra to compensate for the small size. We had 2 extra. She said that the supplier gave them small drumsticks so that was how they made up for it. She also said that regular customers know to call ahead and ask about the size of the drums this week. Been eating at bonchon for 10 years and have always had trouble finishing the drums. I will not be spending $50 in the future on food that will not be enough for me and my wife.

Went here to specifically try their chicken. They have other entrées, which are not reflected in this review. They serve two flavors of chicken, soy-garlic and spicy. They said the spicy scale is six or seven out of 10 and you can have an order that includes both flavors. I chose just the soy-garlic. The chicken is made to order, so there is a bit of a wait, but, the quality of chicken makes it worth it. I also tried their coleslaw. Chicken arrived, perfectly cooked and the chicken legs (which were huge), and the wings, pretender and juicy. Unfortunately, the coating was way too sweet for me. It was overpowering. It was almost like a candy, apple sweetness. There was insufficient, soy flavoring to counter this. The coleslaw was very good as was the service. The prices are reasonable. So, if you would like spicy chicken or really, really sweet chicken, give this place a try.

I ve been an avid customer of BonChon even when I was in the Philippines. I have eaten in this particular branch since 2017 when they had a much bigger place. I haven t been back since 2019 and I was so surprised how much they ve changed. They are famous for their hand breaded chicken with a distinct soy garlic sauce. I came on Oct 29 and ordered my usual chicken strips. They served me with frozen chicken strips that you can purchase from the grocery store that was drizzled with the least amount of sauce. I have worked in the kitchen and I am very familiar with the flavor and texture of frozen chicken strips that they serve for kids meal. When I asked for additional sauce since my meal didn t taste good they initially wanted to charge me for it but the cashier realized how disappointed I was with the $35 that I spent on our meal which I could have bought from the grocery for much cheaper. I also ordered the tteokbokki and the seaweed wrapped noodles that they put as a garnish was even frozen inside. It was very obvious that the meal was prepared in the microwave. This store is a disgrace to the BonChon company!

I ve had most of the items on their menu, and the main thing I will always get is their boneless chicken (nuggets) and their strips. The reason this isn t rated higher is that sometimes they put too little sauce on the chicken and there aren t any options to get it packed in a separate container without paying $, also some items like their drums (legs) are too chickeny (if you know what I mean) and way too big (looks like gmo chicken). The main dishes are also kind of bland nothing too note. Overall it s alright. The chicken wings here are extraordinary. The unique way they fry them gives them a lovely crunch unlike any other chicken wing I ve had. They only have two flavors, soy and spicy, but they re both wonderful flavors. These wings put wingstop to shame. I ve told friends and family about this place and they love it. Oh, and this location may be different than other locations, because at other locations I ve tried the wings weren t nearly as crunchy or flavorful. But this location in the colony never disappoints. This is for a THIS LOCATION ONLY! The absolute WORST location ever. Ive been to bonchon in NJ, NY, and now Texas, and this location is hands down the worst. They used PRE-BATTERED, FROZEN strips instead of cutting chicken breasts and battering them in the traditional better for the wings/legs. (See pics; if you know Bonchon, you know what Im saying) That is a disgrace to the Bonchon name and franchise. When I asked for extra sauce for my sons birthday, she rang me up for $2+ tax.... What happened to Bonchon? We don t live nearby so it s always been a treat. We ordered online around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon and it was supposed to be an hour before the order was ready for pickup. That s way too long especially for what we got. The flat tenders always had the perfect ratio of chicken, breading, and sauce with well-balanced flavors. Today, we got chunks of overly breaded chicken with an uneven coating of salt-bomb sauce. We ate 4 pieces out of the 24-count order and we will likely toss the rest as they re too salty to be edible. Two stars is generous, but that s only because the parm fries seemingly remain unchanged. Sadly, they aren t enough to keep us coming back.

This used to be my favorite spot. I live an hour away and I would make the drive because I really liked the food and would usually order to-go. I would get the large chicken tenders half & half. The last 2 times I ve been here I noticed they ve been skimping on the spicy sauce. You can see the chicken tenders are not coated evenly in sauce and in turn makes the strips taste dry and not really spicy. I ordered $90 worth of spicy chicken tenders today and again, the tenders were haphazardly coated with spicy sauce. I went up to the cashier and asked her if she could give me some spicy sauce for my tenders and she said they can t sell the spicy sauce individually. To be honest, I wasn t interested in spending even more money for sauce to coat my tenders evenly. I wanted her to give me a to-go container of it considering I spent almost a hundred bucks on lunch. This place is second to none in my book, which isnt very long because this was my first Korean experience and I tell you I wish I could put a bed in the back, I would never leave. I wanted to try it because I drive by it all the time, but they are very expensive. Chicken wings and fried rice cost me $25. The food was very tasty. I didnt like all the feathers in my chicken. One wing had so many feathers if I threw it up in the air it would have flown away. I wont eat here again.

it s a franchise, so taste and quality should be at minimum on par. I had wings from other Bonchon locations before but wings from this one was disappointing. (we ordered half and half, soy garlic and spicy) chicken was old and a bit gamey near the joints. it might have been an old order that was just re-coated, reheated, cause spicy was Really spicy. (online it said 40 mins but order was ready in 10 min, Bonchon usually takes awhile to prepare) near the bones, it was dark with cooked blood, signs flash fried old and deep frozen chicken

Im done with this location. Service has gone down hill at the end of the year doing takeout. 2nd time I ordered fried rice for it to be over cooked. They never follow my order instruction right. And to top it off they threw my rice into a stained cardboard box instead of a to go plate.

I rarely do reviews but I really felt the need to for this experience. The chicken was super unappetizing when I first opened the box then I took a bite and it had an odd smell. I am not a picky person at all but this was just not good. I remember coming here when they first opened and I had the best experience and the food was AMAZING so I recommend to order again with my parents and they agreed it was not enjoyable. So sad to have wasted so much food because it was not cheap.

I have been to this location, the Addison location , and a location in the Houston area. This location would do much better if the menu were more reasonable. What person s small size is 12 pieces. The serving sizes need to be double checked. If I come here by myself, the smallest size I can get is a 12pc combo. This is ridiculous. I realize the overhead may be tough to overcome, but they will not get many solo customers at this rate. The flavor is great, but I will not be returning here until I can get a more reasonable serving size.

This branch is kinda small, but dont let that fool you! They have high quality food & great customer service. Their twice fried chicken is what it should be: crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. The spicy and soy garlic flavors did not disappoint! ive been going here for years and the good has always been amazing !! sadly they dont serve the salmon ball anymore , but its definitely still my favorite item . ive never had a bad experience going to bonchon , the people who work there are nice and like i said , the food has always been amazing . i live in oklahoma so let me just say the 3 hour drive to and from bonchon (6 hours in total) is worth it ! /srs

Good Korean Fried Chicken. If youve never had KFC..K for Korean..try it here. Chickens are big! Ask for Spicy and try the different flavors. Not the most authentic version, but for a chain version.. Worth trying..

Love the food, we use to come in all the time. Brought in my three year old daughter today to one of our favorite restaurants. For whatever reason the employee running the cash register screwed up and only ran my card for 1/2 the amount that was owed. She waited 15 minutes to let us know this and I didnt really understand what was happening until the manager came out and told us that we still owed on the balance. At this point I asked to pay the difference and he tried to for some reason tell me it was my fault that they had charged my card wrong. I then asked if they had even started our food, they hadnt. At this point I had been standing there for awhile trying to pay again so I could feed my daughter and the manager kept going on so I said man I dont care why your employee fed up just take my money so I can feed my kid. This is when things got really weird... apparently Im not allowed to cuss and be annoyed when Im being mistreated for something I have nothing to do with and because the supposed GM lacks a basic understanding of freedom of speech, he chose to refuse to run my card and started to belittle me. I finally just asked for a refund, which he seemed to have a hard time figuring out how to do as well.... As I was leaving he chose to tell me about how good of an example I was setting for my daughter... at one point in the conversation I told him I came there all the time and his response was good for you.. its unfortunate that he has zero customer service skills. I really did enjoy this place its not been the same since they moved though.

The place was very clean, no loud music like other places and staff was very polite. You could tell the food was freshly prepared and not just heated by a microwave. Staff was very nice when we asked for extra paper plates and and to-go boxes. Open and concealed carry both allowed.

This place has changed a lot since covid I guess. It used to be a sit down place now is more fast food atmosphere which is fine. Their spicy chicken is outrageously spicy. Which again, is fine except for when I asked if I could get something to cool them down their response was maybe you shouldnt have ordered them okay cool thanks... Also we ordered all tenders so I was surprised when I bit into what appeared to be a tender and was met with a bone. Luckily I didnt break a tooth. Turns out they put a fried wing in with our tenders.. photo attached. We are very disappointed. We used to drive over an hour to eat here because we enjoyed the food. But we will jot be making that trip again..

We ordered food for the first time here and I will definitely be going back. Everything we ordered was delicious !!! Wow, finally, an Asian fast food restaurant I can truly say has good food in this area. I like to taste flavor, seasons, and quality freshness in my food and I got it at Bonchon. The guy who took my order was friendly, helpful, courteous and fast. I love it! Good customer service goes a long way with me! The next time Im over in that area, Im tipping him! The female in the back preparing the food did an awesome job. It was a little wait but I didnt mind. It was Mothers Day and waiting was to be expected. Worth the wait and my time. I recommend this place if you love Korean food like I do! Love love love! Officially one of my favorites now. Go there to get your Bonchon chicken and rice on!

Their fried bread is on point one of the crispiest and best. Their soy garlic was pretty tasteful, but was a bit salty. We also ordered spicy and it was a good tasty spiciness, not like a chemical burning spicy. The Family Meal XL is a bit too much for 3 men. I think it would be great for 4 or 5 people. Their french fries are on point the outside is really crispy, and the inside is soft and fluffy. Their fried rice was sub-par, tho. Very bland, not much of taste.

I ve had friends from NYC raving about this place. I finally went to a location near by. I was surprised by the prices. It was pretty steep for chicken. Then when we got our meals the pieces are huge! The chicken legs reminded me of The Flintstones. Where did they find this chicken, Bedrock?!! As we started digging in, I realized it s strongly breaded, and that what makes them look so big. The taste is cool but going on purpose...eh...maybe every blue moon. Ya ll gassed me up on this and I want ya ll to ease up. Mind you I love Korean chicken but I ve had better. I prefer the small Mom and Pop whole in the wall.
