This park is surrounded by a water treatment facility and a mining site. Construction pipes everywhere. Tough walk down a rocky hillside covered in spiders to get to the beach which is big enough for 4 people. Definitely not a return spot for us!

No idea why this place has been shut down over a year, but others remain open... very disappointing. Update: reopened after COVID. Unfortunately they are putting in a water facility and will be under construction until 2027. For the time being day use only.

Boat Ramp is closed currently due to low lake levels, and you have to walk your kayak about 100 down to the lake to launch it because they have the ramp cabled off. Hydrilla is quite bad now too, and they are doing a massive WTP project across the lake, so the opposite shore is entirely a construction site. Still a beautiful spot to catch a sunset. for a hurricane this summer.

Nice little park to camp at, although I hear is going to be closed for a few years for renovating. Right by the boat rank ramp but with the lake being so low its almost out of ramp. You can see signs from when it was 50ft higher than it is now.

Might be a good departure point for boats to get on the water with the ramp, but definitely not a beautiful place to hang out and camp, hike, or swim. The water treatment plant next door is visible and loud, so not ideal for a relaxing Sunday. The park ranger is friendly though.

I visited first time this August 13, 2022, I really enjoyed in this beautiful natural environment. We visited on Saturday evening before the sunset and we didn t see any attendant before entering the park. The sign before entering was showing lot of information and we added images for all signs which can help to new visitors. This park on Lake Travis with primitive campsites & picnic areas offers swimming, fishing & more. Please do visit here have lot of fun activities.

$5 per person, no arrangements for access to water. Very dangerous, significant risk of falls. I dont mind the water level being low but I dont think its exceptional for the period. I want to conserve nature, but there are solutions to develop the place while preserving it.

Kind staff that was extremely informative and nice to learn new things about our Parks in the L.C.P. area, Austin are as well. The only slight downside to this park is the Zebra Mussels and their overwhelming increase in its population which of course, will leave the once rocky shelves in Lake Travis covered .. I didnt feel that this deserved losing a star or two, the great camping experience, hiking, and boat ramp access make this a highly recommended Travis Co.Park!!

Nice campground. 15/night. Right on Lake Travis which is a renowned bass lake though I had no luck... Im sure it was due to my lack of familiarity with the water there. Portable restrooms and vault restrooms. No hookups or water (shut off for season). 3 bars of Verizon. Close to Austin. Would stay here again.

In less than 24 hrs we had two situations with unwanted intruders. Once coming back from lake to find someone digging through our campsite and packing our things in their vehicle! The other was another just watching our site like they were casing the place. Too much stuff to pack for the day is the only reason I will be renting another night. Can t set up a tent for the day rate of 5$ a person so now I have to pay an extra 15$ to disassemble our tent

Close to the lake nearest campsite is a 5 minute walk to lake. Also had a great time meeting the Ranger who worked Tuesday/Wednesday and saved my shoes when I left them there! Thanks Nicole!

My Family and I love this place. We live in Floresville and will come and stay the weekend and camp out as much as we can. We wish we had electricity but hey with a quite generator your all good. We love the water and the friendliness of the staff and everyone who goes there. Cant wait to go again. Last time we were there left my brand new phone in the restroom. The person who found it placed it under the little trash can in there called my sis and let her know if she could call and let me know that they had put it there. THANK YOU TO THE HONEST PERSON WHO DID THAT.

Great place to watch the sunset! Boat launch is clear of hazards and accessible with ample parking for trailers. Camping is OK (as long as the growl of hi performance motorcycles and cars racing by are your idea of a lullaby/alarm clock) Fishing is good here as well. Wildlife like coyote, fox, and racoons are seen often, crane and other birds can be seen at the waters edge as well. Overall a small park with a lot to offer.

Interesting spot this time while the water in the lake is law the deep altitude fall of the beach floor exposed sand and rock formations early covered with water. A good descent and climb for the healthy and strong. Exposed nice half a mile coast line. Rest the park are isolated and forested bbq and camping lots. The boat ramp also has a big angle and not built to serve multiple users at once. The water pump facilities left the park shows up quite ugly, but we need them too ...

Great beach, dog friendly. Some irresponsible owners dont clean up after their dogs so watch your step. There was lots of boat activity that created fun waves but stirred up the water so you cant see the big rocks, so be careful. There is no shade along the beach so make sure to bring your own. The beach is sand and rocks, water shoes are not necessary but I would recommend them.

If you do get there then just go a head and set up tent and wait till in the morning and the people will come around and collect from you the next day.
