Avoid this place if possible, someone is breaking car windows left and right. Where is security? There s a huge abandoned plant right up front with buildings perfect for loitering, drug use, etc. Drive the extra 5 minutes and go to the nice side of town, we are screwed over here.

Too much cement! It would be a nice place to walk if it had gravel, asphalt, or simply mowed grass to walk on. It is supposed to be a natural area, but there is no place to walk but on cement.

An emerging beautiful park. It is still in the construction process. Currently, there are NO 1. Public restroom 2. Water to wash hands 3. parking 4. Lights Once they have all of these, the park can accommodate more Updated 05/09/2024 The park looked much nicer now since most of the constructions were complete. There are more and more people visiting the parks. Again, if the restrooms and water faucets are available, then this park is a top-notch on my list.

Nice place for a stroll around the lake! Nice calm scenery, definitely a peaceful environment. Except for the snakes so I like to go fishing at the Willow water hole up until recently. All I can say is dont go in the high grass because as I was drooling through the high grass on a little walk path heart just about jumped out of my chest as I heard the brush shaking and breaking and whipping and whisping and in front of me move so fast. The biggest snake, one of the biggest snakes Ive ever seen. Luckily it didnt come me but I know that snake was a water boxing and when I say fat oh that snake was fat. So just take my words stay out of the high grass cuz it could be your life Playground: No playground to my knowing Toilets: No restrooms to my knowledge Dog-friendliness: Yes big open grassy fields for dogs to run only setback is no fence or specific dog area Picnic area: Pic a spot its full of many good picnic spots if youre going to throw down a blanket. There are a couple of tables but not many.

This park is great. Easily accessible by bike and by foot from many surrounding neighborhoods. There is ample parking on Gasmer, Ricecrest and Dryad for those who choose to drive. The ongoing paving of trails around the various lakes is a big upgrade and will turn this into a multi-mile connected trail network. When (if) the Levitt Pavilion materializes, will be even better. As is, there are a number of local businesses and shops within walking distance. No playground per se but plenty of open green space for kids to roam without fear of traffic.

Always a great place to go walk the dogs or just go for a stroll. Theres a lot of nature to observe which is nice inside the city. Toilets: Theres usually a porta can there however it might be because of the construction on the trails that has been happening. This place is definitely worth a visit. The trails are about 2 miles and take about an hour to walk full circuit. The upgrades coming are full cement trails going all around the park. It is beautiful and a great place to take your pup for a walk. It can get a bit crowded at times, but it s got a diverse crowd that you will get to see. The nature and animals are very interesting to admire.

In southwest area of Houston. Miles of trails, several lakes, many tree species, while it serves a critical function of water retention. There are play & picnic areas. An idyllic place to get away from city hustle and bustle to relax, enjoy nature & dream.

First time here, what a great place!! So peaceful and really beautiful for its location! Parking is on the street, not sure on theft. However looks like s perfect place for it! On this day , we didnt see too many people but enough to feel safe! I was surprised how quiet it was, I went with my dog. Thankfully I always carry poop bags because there were no poop stations in this park. This was surprising since the majority of folks here had dogs! Nice place, dont recommend leaving valuables in car, bring your own poop bags if you have a dog. There is a warning sign for alligators but didnt see any but also wasnt looking for them. When I was heading to my car I saw a dude gearing up for fishing, looked like he was going to make a day of it!! I will return!!

Great park! Perfect for a walk with the family, dog walk, light jog or a even a longer trail run. Ive ran here for quite some time now. They recently paved the entrance and the parking lot so it is much nicer than the rough terrain we had before. Theres an inner and outer trail you can follow. Both have inclines and declines which is nice. Outer trail is approximately 2 miles long with good views. Benches are spread throughout the paved track. Shaded areas are limited to the gazebo and benches close to the entrance. Only downside is the park isnt lit at night.

Great place to walk your dog and to hike. The park is cleaned with marked trails, benches and water fountains. The gazebo is the only shaded place there. A short while ago they paved the road finally so it doesnt feel like a roller coaster driving there. On the weekends they hold music festivals from time to time. Also theres a relatively new sculpture garden there. Its really nice. Like a piece of nature in the middle of the city.

NICE PARK, UNFORTUNATE NAME Don t let the name scare you off! This clean, medium-sized community park looks nothing like one would envision a waterhole. The grounds, border by a beautiful pond, included plenty of green grass and a covered gazebo. [NOTE: I visited this park during a festival, so I can t comment on everyday appearance.] This park is near an apartment complex. I talked with a couple tenants who say they enjoy walking in the park every day. TIP FOR POGO PLAYERS: There is one stop and one gym within the park. I was there during a Music Festival. Middle School and High School ensembles opened the day with their latest Jazz numbers and professional players followed. The opening to the park comfortable held the 3 food trucks that were there. Several local organizations had informational booths along the border of the park. The best booth, of course, was Face Painting!
