Do not ever leave your elderly loved ones in this horrible place. The night shift staff are downright abusive, preying on the most vulnerable people. The director even admitted to knowing about complaints against these workers, yet they ve done absolutely nothing. My mom was in tears, terrified, and felt completely unsafe from her very first night. This place is a disgrace. Go anywhere else!

I can t use words to express how horrible our time with Accel was. Her catheter was left in so long that she got a horrible UTI. She didn t have one going in, but it was put in so they didn t have to help her potty. Once removed at my demanding, she was just put in a brief which they allowed her to set-in always. (Notice thrown on the floor when changed.) She was bathed ONCE in two weeks. Her staples removed five days after they needed to be. Her room reeked of urine. When it was time to leave, the nurses had no clue. Her assisted living wasn t contacted to do the assessment before returning. But we never made it because her primary sent her immediately back to the ER in regards to the toe (see pics). She s now having it amputated; Accel didn t even find her toe injury. An outside caretaker, visiting her, found it! There are even more things BUT just know there is a reason that there are beds open at this place. NO ONE was happy to be there, staff especially.

DO NOT send you or your loves one here!! I wish I could give NO STARS!! I had a family member go in for physical therapy rehab and had to stay a month. He was unable to get out of bed with out help and the nurses would tell him to just use his diaper. So he did and they would just leave him wet for hours or until a family member came to clean him. He was so wet to the point he had a puddle under the bed that was wider than the bed. He was falling off the bed one night and called for help (which takes hours to get any) and the night nurse comes in yells at him, never helped and then slams the door so i drover up there to help him get back into bed. He once fell on the floor in the bathroom and called for help and they took 4 hours to help him. The day nurses weren t any better she got mad at him and dug her nails into his neck. He was a rehab patient and could not defend himself. The nurses would also put his food in places where he could not get to it. If it wasn t for a family member to be there everyday with him he would have not gotten to eat. The nursing home patients would wonder in his room and wouldn t leave, even tried to climb in his bed. Anyone can come in or out with out any of the staff knowing it, which to me felt very unsafe. It s sad how they treat people who are in there that need the rehab they were no help if anything they made him worst. The staff is rude and no help whatsoever. These are just a few of the many terrible things that went on while he was in there. If you truly love someone DO NOT send them here. This place is a NIGHTMARE! I called and they didn t know who you were and proceeded to hang up on me after putting me on hold. Thank you but I stand by my review.

My 81 yo dad was there after a replacement of a complete shoulder replacement surgery. Called me the second day asking me to get him the hell out of there. The first night he called the nurse to help him to the bathroom they took too long and he ended up falling. Instead of changing the bed pads or the pad in his chair they covered up the soiled one with clean ones. I had to call to have the bathroom cleaned. I was in the phone with the manager all weekend, while he was on vacation, that s how bad it was. When he returned he went and checked on my dad at least 1x a day. They weren t giving him his breathing treatments .the machine was broken or something and never got him a new one, just left it sit on the table. Do not send your family here! The PT staff was phenomenal, it was the rest of the staff.

From a current resident: I would like to tell you that I am thoroughly impressed with this facility from the cleanliness to the skilled staff but the most impressive thing for me is that I walk down the wall and I have people greeting me with good morning - staff that I have not had anything to do with or that have cared for me. I want to say thank you to all this involved, I feel wanted and not just another patient.

This place is garbage, my grandmother was not properly cared for. She was way over medicated and if it were not for my dad and aunts I truly believe my grandmother would of died at this place. Of course these people are going to lie and say they would never give a patient more medicine than what the doctor advised to give. My grandmother was kept so doped up she couldn t talk, she couldn t eat, or drink on her own. As soon as my family took her out of this place the doctor at the hospital said she was dehydrated and that they should of never given a lady her age Tramadol or Codeine. Unfortunately, we will never be able to physically prove it since these people will just lie to cover their own tracks but the proof is the instant change my grandmother has had at the hospital where she is properly being cared for. So if you care about your family member stay away from this place, don t be fooled just because it looks like a nice facility.

Some of the people that work there who actually care for the residence are really nice hard working individuals, but the administration staff, do not handle their business and are not professional when it comes to being committed to the patience /residents. When you speak with them about your love one (s) they tell you they will handle up on the issue, but when you call to speak with someone they never answer their phones and they do not return your call. The doctor changes patients meds when they are suppose to and dont even know the patience medical history and when you explain to them not to do it, some staff get it straight and others ignore what you are telling them. ...

My father-in-law stayed here recently, after reading a few reviews I was very hesitant on him staying.. Well I can say I am very happy that we made the decision to keep him there for therapy services. The staff was absolutely amazing, the new management is phenomenal. ANY issue we had, there was always someone that came right away to get to the root of the problem and get it fixed pretty quickly. My father-in-law always had great things to say about the food and the ladies who answered his call lights. He always had a good time in therapy, he says he wouldnt have been able to come home and be safe without them. Overall I am very happy with the care he received and the communication the nurses had with us, they called us for everything and made me feel like I was apart of his stay and care. Oh, and the building is absolutely beautiful inside and out!

He wasnt allowed to walk by himself, per staff rules, so he couldnt go to the bathroom and no one would help him so he would end up going to the bathroom on himself and have to wait for them to come clean him up. I would not recommend this faculty. My mother was there and she was a full care patient that could not communicate to tell them what she needed. We would have to call several times to get someone to answer the phones. When we would tell them of mother s needs they act as if we were a burden and the issues they were ignoring was turning her leaving her in one position for hours, not giving fluids like they should, not properly bathing her, a few times miss feeding her or half feeding sometimes forgetting to change med patch, not changing like they should. When calling to speak with the DON, she was never available and never returned calls concerning our mother and issues in her care. During the COVID shut down, we had a hard time communicating with nursing and CNA s often ignored us when asking about mother s care. Over heard one employee tell another just ignore us. The Adminitrator tried to correct issues but the issues changed for a week and most of the nursing and CNA staff went back to same ways, uncaring. I have Witnessed staff attending and handling her without wearing mask properly possibly exposing and putting her at risk for COVID. The faculty is a physically nice building but a business is only as good as it s staff and a lot of the staff failed in the area of compassion and care. The faculty is to big of a place to have a very very few employees do their job. Only witnessed on one hand the ones that did and if mother didn t get one of them for care that day, her care was neglected. To work with the elderly and sick, you need the compassion to do such a job. If you don t have it, you need to find another kind of work because these are sick, elderly and handicapped human beings that depend on them for care. They deserve to be treated with compassion as you would your own loved one ..I could never treat anyone loved one the way my mother and we were handled

The first two weeks my husband was there, he was in a Covid quarantine hall. The staff on that hall were really good. Very nice, happy, helpful, compassionate and attentive. Then he was moved to a room in the general area. Not so good here. The staff was nice but when I was there I didn t see much of them. We rang the nurse button - husband needed help getting up to go to the bathroom- and after 20 minutes I went up to the nurses station to find out why no one had responded. They sent a very nice woman down. The room wasn t throughly clean. There was something splattered on the wall. They cleaned it as soon as I pointed it out to them. It was there when my husband moved into the room. And there was visible dirt in the corner behind a chair. The room was so small it was very difficult to maneuver a wheelchair around. He was there for physical therapy following a hospital stay. The physical therapists also were very nice and did their job well. However, he could have used a walker in his room but he wasn t given one. Just a wheelchair. It s almost impossible to get anyone on the phone. We were charged for the month of May, but he checked out the end of April. I have called numerous times and left messages but no response. These are just some of the issues we had. I would not use this place again. I don t recommend it.

During my time with Accel, I have been very impressed with the staffs passion to care for the residents. Staff are open to family, residents, and team members recommendations for improvements. The team is determined to give the best quality of care to all residents while also supporting family members, especially during the current pandemic. They have created a family website, planned for when they can have outdoor visitations, and are continuing to put the health of their residents as a first priority when creating policies and plans. The administration is available to answer any questions and works quickly to address any concerns brought to their attention. I was even surprised when I got a follow up call to check on how things were going. They did a good job helping us to understand how a Skilled Facility is different than an acute care facility as I had the same expectations from acute care to the Skilled. Once they educated me, I had a better understanding of the process. They also had great follow up with me. The team works hard and it is appreciated. Some people just focus on the negative...this team tries hard to always focus on the positive and strive for improvement. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

The facility is beautiful and most of the nurses and aides are wonderful and seemed to care for moms well being, but the administration here is the most unprofessional than I have ever seen. Mom needed to be in a more secure facility and their way of discharging a patient with dementia is unacceptable. The administrator and the director of nursing set a meeting with us but prior to the meeting had the social worker text and say they had already made up their mind to discharge mom and that a meeting was not necessary. We demanded to have the meeting anyway so that we could hear the reasoning behind the sudden discharge. We were left waiting for 55 minutes before finally being called in for our meeting. We were given unrealistic stipulations for mom to be able to stay so she was discharged at dinner time that same day. So bottom line is do not put your loved one here if you dont want them discharged via text and phone call and know that everything can change without any notice.
