So sad to see management call cops on parents trying to use their side parking lot to pick up kids from school. Fence your Hotel in if you want to be that private, Cops have actual emergencies to attend to than to come kick people off your property. only see it happen when a certain person is on site

Clean room and comfortable bed. The Service is good. It has a restaurant that offers complementary breakfast. The only complaint is that the pool is small. Rooms: Clean and super comfortable beds. Good service... they let me in 1 hour early without an extra charge. $220 with taxes included

STAY AWAY MANAGER IS TERRIBLE **Disheartening Experience at the Courtyard Grand Prairie** The lack of care and professionalism was astounding from Natasha the manager. From reading several of other reviews especially about her cannot believe she is still employed. For a brand like Marriott, which is known for its commitment to guest satisfaction, this experience was a huge disappointment. Arriving at hotel no one at front desk to check in- Had to call out hello several times to even know if someone worked there. Was there for work meetings that were cut short due to my flights changing w American Airlines back to FL because of impending Hurricane Helene coming. 3 hours after checking in - She offered no concession or reduced fee and denied knowing of such consideration. Having traveled extensively and staying w Marriott properties exclusively for over a decade this would be the first time that a manager offered no consideration. Again if you have any other options dont stay here. Lack of consideration professionals and reliability is all you will receive if you do.

This was such an amazing hotel! Very clean, neat, and the hotel staff went over and beyond to make sure we had the best stay ever! The GM Natasha and The AGM Novi has an amazing team! Darrian checked us in and her service was Superb! You can really tell that she enjoys what she does and she had great customer service skills!! I will definitely be booking this property each time we are in the area! Ten out of ten highly Recommended! Rooms: Very neat, clean, and quiet. Nearby activities: So many restaurants and shopping areas right outside of the hotel doors. Everything is in walking distance if you don t want to drive.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay here. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go (5-15 minute drive), rooms were clean and comfortable, lobby and pool area were nice and clean, parking was plentiful, area surrounding the property was quiet, and this may be the best sleep I ve ever gotten in a hotel. The front staff was kind and very accommodating. I ll definitely return when I m visiting Grand Prairie in the future. Just a great stay/experience overall.

Edit: been here for a few weeks and the internet security has improved, the speed has not. There is now an option for elite members but it s the same speed. Everything is great except the internet. Seeing peak 14mbps and average 9mbps, there isn t an option for enhanced internet for elite members. So don t expect to download any large files or do anything productive.

If I could give a 0 review I would. Not only am I in management that partners with Marriot for reservations, I only stay at Marriot brands if I have the option to. The phone interaction with Natasha is the worst I ever experienced working in customer service. If you dont like your job, you should quit. She is rude, talks over customers, and lacks empathy.Remind you I have worked in reservations for over 19 years so I know the ins and outs. She is definitely bringing down your property. This property is in a central location for a lot of business in which you will loose with this type of behavior. Looking at other reviews, this is her norm and is very unfortunate.

**Disheartening Experience at the Courtyard Grand Prairie** My stay at the Courtyard Grand Prairie was nothing short of horrible and far from the quality I ve come to expect from the Marriott brand. From the moment I walked in, things were disappointing. The hallway leading to my room was smoldering hot, making the trek to my room uncomfortable and unpleasant. Once inside, I quickly noticed that the toilet was running nonstop, which only added to the frustration. What truly left me disheartened was my encounter with the morning manager. Upon arrival, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled, something I wasn t aware of because I never received a cancellation notice via email. When I brought this up to the manager, she casually mentioned that her laptop was broken and she couldn t access her email. She also claimed that she called me but didn t leave a message something I find incredibly unprofessional. As a result, I was forced to pay a higher rate than what I originally booked. The lack of care and professionalism was astounding. For a brand like Marriott, which is known for its commitment to guest satisfaction, this experience was a huge disappointment.

The location is great. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly. But the Internet is horrible. See attached. I had .45 Mbps at 12:16 am... just after midnight. I think dialup in the 1990s was faster than this hotels Wi-Fi. It is never better than 2 Mbps.. My phone, my wifes phone, my laptop. The internet is unusable in my hotel room, in the lobby, etc. Some of the staff will admit the Wi-Fi is horrible. Others make excuses like, let me reboot the system or my front desk computer is fine or my personal cell phone is on the Wi-Fi and I dont have any issues. I showed one of the front desk clerks that my phone could not even load the Google home page. Then I turned off Wi-Fi on my phone and it loaded immediately. I ended up connecting my laptop to my phones hotspot.

Shocking for a Courtyard property. We are reward members and booked online with Marriott... these are in our top 3 properties to stay at. This location is nice when you walk in... great bar and seating areas, etc. What was shocking.... the 2 women behind front desk were BOTH reading books!!!! This was on a Saturday at noon and one of the ladies said NO rooms were ready... we had a 1pm appointment and had just driven 3 hours. She said , well you can bring your luggage in and get ready/change clothes in our public restroom. Are you kidding me???? There was absolutely no excuse for them.... okay we understand being sold out and trying to get rooms cleaned and available.... HOUSEKEEPING WAS OBVIOUSLY DOING JUST THAT. What was inexcusable was that they, or 1 of them wouldnt get off their stools, put their books down and help with the rooms. Wow management.. .. do you honestly want these two employees representing you AND Marriott????? This is the HOSPITALITY industry. .. the goal/expectations SHOULD be to sell out every single day. You should be ashamed.

We stayed here for a baseball tournament for 7 days. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. However, the night shift front desk woman was very rude and abrasive. I also emailed their sales manager 2x during our stay that went unanswered. We had wonderful staff during the day but that nighttime girl ruined the vibe for everyone. We also were told we couldn t eat any outside food in the lobby. If you had Jimmy John s or something you weren t allowed to eat there because it is part of their bistro and no outside food or drink is allowed. We booked 14 rooms for 6 nights and don t feel as though they cared at all.

Noteworthy details: Room was fine - lighting was good but the toilet constantly ran; WiFi was absolutely horrible! Despite the room and maid service being fine, I was not pleased with the way the hotel was managed. The pool was closed - mid June in Texas- was told they had not properly scheduled the appropriate inspections to open it. No attempt at compensation was made. We got to our room and unpacked.... and surprise! there was an excrete behind the main door or our room (photo). The carpet seemed stained from these harmful fluids. Front desk told me to contact the manager the next week cause there was nothing she could do. I decided to email the general manager Natasha T. and her Asst. Novianti S. Waited for a week and no answer back. I called and reached out to Natasha T. I was told by her to contact the housekeeping manager for an explanation since she was not aware of the issue nor have received my two emails. The day I checked out, two persons at front desk confirmed the manager was already aware of the issue. Rooms are OK, BUT just hope nothing extraordinary/bad/unfortunate happens to you or your belongings at this place cause you will be on YOUR OWN. Will I stay at this hotel again ??? Most likely I would try other options.

We stayed here for one night. Great-looking room, nice lounge area at the entrance, nice staff, great TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime built-in, etc. Everything seemed so far so good. The most important thing to us, though, is the ability to actually sleep in until late morning if we so choose. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. We made sure to put a do not disturb sign on the door so that housekeeping wouldnt knock and wake us up. Instead, they decided to stage their housekeeping cart *right outside* our door and loudly converse on numerous occasions. When I e-mailed the general manager about the incident, her response was extremely dismissive and apathetic. Basically, since it occurred outside Grand Prairies recognized quiet hours between 10pm-6am, we were told tough luck and we werent getting any compensation for being kept up in the morning. We will never make a reservation here again. Not just because we had to listen to the loud conversations housekeeping kept having right outside our door in the morning, but the complete lack of customer service that we experienced when we brought our concerns forward.

Our church group held a youth event here last weekend and we had such a wonderful experience with their staff and facility. The director of sales, Dwight, was extremely easy to work with. He was flexible and understanding of our needs, and made sure we had everything we needed prior to the event. The kids had a great time, and the guests loved how clean and nice the rooms were. The conference/event room fit our guests perfectly and comfortably. The pool was sadly down during our stay, so the kids spent the evening hanging out in the outdoor patio area instead. Regardless, we had a great experience and successful event. I hope we are able to book again for future events. Thank you, team at Courtyard GP! Nearby activities: Right smack in the middle of EPIC Central, so there are tons of activities within a block or two. We booked here so we could have our excursion down the street at Bolder Adventure Park and it worked out perfectly.

I had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Dallas Grand Prairie. The hotel was clean and the location was perfect proximity from the conference I was attending at Globe Life Field. The staff was friendly and very helpful. There is a Starbucks across the street along with other restaurant options. The hotel restaurant did not have a large variety of breakfast options. The hotel is newer but the room had some imperfections. Also, the room was a nice size but I usually prefer more space. Overall. I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed about the Marriott name. I don t feel like this hotel reflects the price we paid, as soon as we got to the room there was a cigarette smell on the room, my husband notify the front desk and they at first said that it was impossible and that they will send someone to check on it, no one came, when we come down again to the service desk they said they will go and spray something to make it disappeared but we don t know if they truly did because we were eating out. The air conditioner never seems to get to our desired temperature, the bathroom door didn t lock. The closet door didn t close all the way and when I went to the bathroom at night I hit myself with it and it got bruised. The pool was a little green and had mold on the tiles surrounding the pool. I have pictures and videos of everything because I documented everything except the smell of course. The area is very nice, for us was a little summer staycation because I collaborated with Epic Waters and this was the closest hotel, but I expected more than the hotel gave us, didn t think what we payed reflects the treatment or the conditions of the hotel.

Horrible Customer Service! I received a call back from the Manager, Natasha, who was VERY rude and unprofessional over the phone. She hung up in my face while expressing concern about a fee I was charged. I called back and asked her if the calls were recorded, because she had clearly hung up in my face..she acknowledged that their calls were not recorded...and she hung up in my face again in the middle of me talking! At this point Im more upset at the nastiness and unprofessionalism displayed than the fee I was initially concerned about. I will NEVER book at this establishment again! I would also like to add that prior to Natasha hanging up in my face, I had already opened a case with Marriott customer service to resolve my concern. I was explaining that to her when she hung up in my face, adamant about not listening to the resolution that Marriott customer service, themselves, recommended. Clearly there is some disconnect, a lack of communication, professionalism, and training within the company, but after reading MANY concerning reviews, I can see that management (Natasha) is a common denominator. Im extremely disappointed in the service received, as I have been a loyal Marriott customer for many years.

I stayed here for two weeks on a work trip and dont have anything bad to say. Check in and out is a breeze, staff is great. Hummus plate had some of the best pita I had ever had. (get it toasted) I was nervous the first week I was there when two coach buses full of teenager stopped there to stay but I never heard anything from my room. Never heard anything inside my room the whole time. Quick drive to the airport couple of places right outside the hotel to grab smoothies/coffee when heading out in the morning. Bed comfy, shower hot with great smelling body wash & shampoo provided, room clean. Everything else is just added bonus after that!

Stayed here for two weeks for a business trip. I can only recommend staying here for no longer than a day or two. Only perks of this hotel was the location being so close to Walmart and various food chains, the free gym that was surprisingly well set up, and that my room was comfortable enough to sleep in. The cons outweigh those perks, especially when there are much cheaper, and better options in the area. They are as follows: The most egregious part was that not only is breakfast not complimentary, they instead call their food service a bistro in order to charge ludicrous amounts for mediocre food. 14 dollars for a flatbread pizza that was so small, I at first thought that the cook ate half before serving me. The cocktails are just as costly as the food. Breakfast prices are no different. Breakfast not being complimentary adds up, and took a noticeable toll on my company provided per diem compared to coworkers who stayed elsewhere. The rooms are not furnished for long stays. The mini fridge had a large emphasis on mini, barely being able to store more than 4 or so items before the door refused to close. No freezer either, so frozen meals cannot be stored properly. The microwave was fine, but thats where it ends. I dared not touch the coffee maker otherwise Id notice extra charges on my bill for using their coffee pods. The room itself was small, as well. Spending two weeks in such a small room that had no dividers definitely put a strain on my enjoyment of the trip. Im not sure how this hotel can justify spending 130 dollars for their rooms other than having a pretty good location. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone planning on spending an extended amount of time away from home, and I suggest you look elsewhere. Again, there are many alternatives in the area that offer cheaper prices and more conveniences/furnishing. Walkability: Walmart right across the street. A few food places within short walking distance. Best part about this hotel. Food and drinks: Horrendously overpriced

AVOID THIS PLACE!! ** I booked this hotel for myself and family traveling from out of town for my Wedding. The hotel itself is very nice and new. I had been in communication with this hotel numerous times prior to my stay. I booked a block of rooms for 30 guests. We ended up having about 15 guests stay not including my Husband & I. The staff in the Bistro area were so incredible and kind. Breakfast & coffee was great. My biggest issue I had was with checking in & out. I booked a room for my Mother in law and one for my Grandmother. When booking I was told that I could use my Marriott # for my guests but because the reservation was booked under their names that they d be able to check in and out without my physically being there. This conversation took place on the phone with an employee . Both my in laws and grandmother experienced issues and attitudes with lack of empathy when they were trying to check in. My in laws speak English but do have accents, when they were checking in they were told there was no room reserved for them. Which ultimately lead to them having to purchase a completely separate room and pay upwards of $800 for a one night stay. When calling back up to the hotel they said that at 3:45 am Thursday morning, it was placed under my name. Which I definitely did not do as I was asleep like most people at that time and it was completely unbeknownst to me. I understand maybe it was a hiccup through the website or what ever system they used but I feel like the ball was totally dropped. The manager Natasha said that because there was a language barrier that they weren t able to explain the issues that occurred with their reservation. So I guess if you speak another language or are foreign with an accent this hotel wont be accommodating for you. They had already paid for a $400 room and were treated like that COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. However they told my grandmother ( Who is American ) how to switch it, so they could get checked in and out through me. My Grandmother also stated that they were extremely rude. On the phone Natasha stated she was there when they were all checking in. The manager went on to interrupt me while trying to explain my issues and essentially had a really stand offish and rude attitude. My husband and I stayed Thursday as well as Friday night in their King Suite ( only 2 in the whole hotel ). For being the suite it was very underwhelming and small. A standard size king room without the fridge and microwave would probably have been better. We realized Friday morning that our bed sheets had a big stain and blood droplets on one of the pillow cases. We were completely grossed out by that and my husband asked the next morning if we could have room service clean and change our sheets while we were out. When we arrived around Midnight on Friday after our wedding we came back to our room with the same sheets!! We went to the front desk and let them know that our linens were never changed. Due to the time they didn t have anyone on staff to changed them, so they went and handed us the bed linens in a big stack to change for ourselves ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT! I l personally think the hotel should be held accountable for all of these issues as it was multiple different things. The lack of understanding and empathy by the management ( Natasha ) was absolutely ridiculous. For being such a special occasion you would think they would be a lot more understanding. By the end of the conversation she said all she could offer would be points for my Bon Voy account. As if I m eager to come back to a hotel who keeps employees with these type of standards. Dirty Rooms, Rude customer service, Difficult Check in, and not accepting/ accommodating to people who don t speak perfect English. Marriott DO BETTER.

I m not a huge reviewer but feel the need to leave this here as this is the most appalling customer service I ve ever experienced at a hotel. My colleague and I had both stayed here on previous business trips. I had already decided never to stay here again after a reservation mix up was incredibly poorly dealt with by Natasha, one of the managers. I now found out that the hotel actually cancelled my colleagues business reservation tonight, telling him he couldn t check in when he showed up, because they realized he had left them a 1-star review after yet another poor encounter with Natasha! Left him stranded to find a different hotel last minute. Again. Absolutely wild. 0 star hotel. Don t book here.

Natasha (Manager) was extremely rude and offered zero solutions besides charging me for 4 full nights and giving me no room because I arrived a day late to check in due to travel issues. Booked a room to stay New Year s Eve and got assigned room 337 DO NOT STAY THERE you can hear right on the wall, where the bed is set, all the noise of the water pipes and the flushing of the toilet from the room above! Of course could not sleep in as I was hopping, one of the reason I stayed on a hotel that night! Topping that inconvenience I was not offer any option to change rooms. I called around 3am to notify that to the front desk but no solution was offered! Next morning Nove (I think that s her name) kindly took notes and said the managers will call to solve the issue. Left voice mail about it on Tuesday afternoon since no one called. And today Wednesday January 4th around 1:00pm a very impolite and rude front desk agent named Natash or Natasha hang up on me and saying is not guarantee someone will call you or see you about this matter Managers are really busy to take care of something like this Well, I Worked on the hotel industry to know that all customers concerns and issues are passed on on the log book from the las shift. And management usually takes care of them before they become a bad online review. Something I hold to do before having a conversation with the manager. But a bad night, no solutions offered, plus being treated like trash by a agent is something that can not happen. Not fair how this hotel handles things. Really frustrating night having to sleep with the pipes flushing and shower noise, and receiving this rude treatment after trying to solve it the best way!

The assistant manager is very unprofessional , I don t know if she was having a bad day, but they way she acted toward a guest was very unacceptable. I have stayed in many Marriott hotels , and her behavior does not exemplify this companies standards. Later in the day I came down and her attitude was still bad. My daughters golf team stayed at the Courtyard Grand Prairie in Dallas TX. I submitted my comments and frustrations via their survey and this is the response I received. Very patronizing and unprofessional. Good morning Tor Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. The Courtyard does not offer complimentary breakfast across the brand. This hotel is targeted at business travelers, who dont prefer a continental or buffet breakfast. When making your future travel plans, I would recommend that you look into the Springhill, TownePlace Suites, Fairfield or Residence Inn, as they provide, at minimum, a continental breakfast. I apologize that our bartender didnt know how to prepare your drink properly. It seems like you may have had a tough day, and I completely understand your frustration in not being able to order such a simple drink. Dre is still training in his bartender position. I have shared your feedback with his manager, to help him further his knowledge. The way that you screw up a reservation, is by not booking it for the correct dates. We absolutely did not kick your daughters team out a day early, but checked them out as their reservation was completed, based upon their improper booking.

The cleaning service here was horrible, we had to contact them 3 times to come and clean. We had to track the cleaning people ourselves. They clean every other day. We booked a 2 queen guest room for 1 night - checked in between 6:30 pm - 7 pm and the process itself was normal. Receptionist talked about the restaurant times, room preference and directions for elevators/fitness etc. AM and PM front desk was welcoming and always greeted us. Pros: location - easy access to and from high way / close to a variety of restaurants, large rooms, friendly staff Cons: water pressure is not great - for both bathroom sink and shower, location - did a Walmart run around 9:30 / 10 pm and as we were walking out, another couple followed us just for them to be stopped by the cops that were waiting by the exit, I would be cautious of leaving things in the vehicle, thin walls/floors

This is everything you expect from the Marriott. Its well furnished, flawlessly clean, so quiet ... I love that they conserve water (washing towels and bedding) by housekeeping coming every three days. The TV was very easy to operate, and we noticed a personalized message greeting us on the screen. The bathroom had excellent water pressure. The only concern was there was a fire drill (practice only) that we were not aware of before happening. The phone in the room did not work when u tried to call down to find out what was going on. It was distressing to say the least.

Darrian is the absolute best!!!!!!! Although we were in town for a funeral, Darrian took the time to make our stay a memorable one. This is a nice hotel and most of the staff was great except for the manager on duty the morning we were trying to have breakfast. I booked a reservation here and forgot to use the promo code for the breakfast banquet for my sons basketball team. Now, Im a Bonvoy member with Ambassador elite status. I spent close to $1000 for a two day stay and I couldnt get a $10 breakfast for my son. The manager was adamant about it which is shameful considering the loyalty I have shown to Marriott

Very poor customer service from this property. I have injured my back and will be unable to travel to Dallas on the dates I had made my reservation. The woman who answered when I called was very unhelpful when I explained my situation. She said since I had made a non-refundable reservation there was nothing they could do in terms of providing any sort of refund. I understand that it was a non-refundable reservation, but it seems like the hotel property could have just a little bit of leeway when it comes to extenuating health circumstances. Considering my excellent experiences with the Marriott brand in the past, Im very disappointed in the lack of customer care in this situation. I dont think Marriott will be getting my business in the future, all because they found it more important to hold onto $400 in this situation. What a shame.

The cleanest, most comfy and easiest experience ever. Best room service and had food options for healthy food. Great late night food options. Best hotel I ve ever stayed in! Highly recommend. The only thing that was somewhat difficult was finding the building to park in and where to walk to the hotel from there. There is a parking garage connected to the hotel but you have to walk through a mall food court to get there. Not far, but we had to take 2 trips.

We opted to stay in an area where we could go to Dallas and Fort Worth. Pros: LOCATION!!! Quick access to multiple freeways. New Hotel. So this means that all linens, the bed, the furniture, the lobby all was comfortable and brand new. The walls are slightly thin, but it wasnt annoying. Even the elevator had that new smell. I should point out- the sofa was curved and cozy! It was really cute and comfy. Our room was very spacious and had a nice large TV on a swivel so we could watch from the sofa or the bed. The bed was a pillow top firm, which was just my style. Great friendly service. We were greeted each time we left or came back to our room. Cons: these are the low points, but not so low they it was disappointing. Just something to point out. The pool wasnt opened yet. It was still going through inspections. Breakfast was not included and costed an additional $15 per person. Given that this hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, Id rather go to a restaurant and pay for a meal there. Breakfast is usually included with our stay at other hotels. Overall, we loved this hotel and will gladly come back here. We usually choose 4 or 5 star hotels, but this time I opted for convenience and value. So glad I did!!

Terrible Management! When you have an issue you expect that management would jump on trying to resolve it for you. I moved rooms and when I did I left my good razor in the room I left. I noticed this 2 hours later. I called and asked for them to find my razor. They called me back and said they threw it away. I said I would like management to call me as that was my property and it was a good razor. The manager never called me. I called and checked in at the desk about four times in two days. They said she was gone and not available. I can t imagine hiding from a customer and not addressing an issue on a Marriott Bonvoy customer that users Marriotts across the country. Hotel is beautiful! Employees were generous. Poor management at a wonderful new property is such a shame!

We stayed here the whole week, place is really nice and service is perfect, outside mini golf and drink by the fire is so nice, only had 3 issues and one I understand was about the pool being closed but they should allow us crazies to still use it even if its cold because why not. The other issues I really didnt like was the safe isnt in the room but behind the counter with the staff and you have to give them your items so they can store them for you and well my items are not to be handled by unlicenced personelle and well this was an inconvinience to me having to take them with me everytime we left the hotel. Another really bad thing for me at least was the A/C and cooler on timers, the a/c kept turning off and was hot all night and I couldnt sleep. The cooler had our food warm and was useless because it only cool for 2 hours then turns off and if your gone all day expect your food to be spoiled and hot. Everything else was really good still Ps. The gym is huge and really good 5stars on the gym alone

Ive been to this property many times and I generally have a nice experience. A few of the guests were a tad bit noisy this time, but it was bearable. The highlight is the service of the front desk staff. Darrian was very helpful at check-in, Jasmine was excellent as she was super attentive and accommodating even at 6am helping me find my earphones that I left in the gym.
