In a world where the food service industry gouges consumers for every penny, it s nice to know that I can still get great coffee and donuts that are actually delicious and made on site for under $6.00. I watch my weight and don t treat myself often, but I make it a point to make at least one trip to Shipley s every time I am in TX. A must -try are the fruit-filled donuts. Tons of filling and absolutely delicious! Other donut shops barely have any filling and don t make their own donuts. Shipley s is one of the few shops remaining who still believes in quality.

Horrible attitude from the woman shouting from behind the racks just sitting there. My payment went through for a mobile order but for some reason did not go through to the restaurant. Even showed them my bank account to prove I paid for it. Chunky from the back couldn t stop shouting and being rude implying it was my fault that their website doesn t know how to properly process payments. Ended up having to pay AGAIN for the donuts. Only giving an extra star to the register girl because she was kind. Be respectful people. Edit: they got our whole entire order wrong. How incompetent do you have to be? The copy and paste response is so annoying. Bye.

Went in yesterday morning and the girl working the register acted put out they we were there! None of the 5 employees said good morning or smiled. 6:45 on a Saturday and they donuts tasted a day old. Kolaches were average at best. They should change the P in Shipley to a T. Never going back.

Very rude . Worker named Patti .Was rude to me and also rude to other workers . One cashier was serving me very nice attitude. And Patti just totally disrespected me and he just to move and pushed her out of the way and she had to go to another register. I paid her and left her a nice tip. For her great attitude.

I love there kolache s here but I always have the wurst experience when I come through the drive through. They have one of the most rude woman working the drive through. She gave me so much attitude and was being very very disrespectful. I m not trying to be a Karen of any sort but due to the disrespect she gave me and my boyfriend I will not be coming here again. I love the food but customer service is terrible.

Dirty! Im so disappointed. When I went through the drive-through there was a high concern for popping my truck tired because of all the trash and debri sitting throughout the drive through. When I got to the window, I let the employee know, she looked at the ground, laughing at what she saw and sarcastically said okay. The fact that hygiene is such an issue with this location I am now concerned the donuts I bought will get me sick because health standards are not high here.

Ive been coming to this location for years. I hit it up every time I drive through on my way to Houston. The kolaches here are the best in Texas. Not all Shipleys have the same kolaches. I got up this morning to grab a couple dozen for my family and drove 30 minutes. The lady working the window today really needs a hug. I am not sure if she is getting paid. Something is wrong. She was confused as soon as I said hello. I asked for two dozen kolaches. One dozen jalapeno and cheese and one dozen sausage and cheese. She shook her head and said, weight what? What kind of kolaches? I thought yikes... she saw my smile and immediately got internally frustrated... I repeated it but I accidentally added an adjective that threw her brain off. I said you know the small kolaches you guys sell. She explained to me that they dont sell small kolaches they only sell one kind of kolache. I said, great, those are the ones I want... Then she askes me again what kind I wanted. I repeated my order but I made the mistake of using the word regular to refer to the second dozen of kolaches. She snapped and said, what do you mean regular? We have three kinds of kolaches... I said, what kind of kolaches do you have? She said, we have sausage and cheese, jalapeno sausage and cheese, just sausage and ham and cheese. I slowly explained that I wanted 1 dozen jalapeño and cheese and 1 dozen sausage and cheese. She then charged me and I took my kolaches and drove home wondering why that was so painful. I love this place. I really hope someone gives that lady a hug or starts to pay her. Either that or take her off the window. Maybe she was just having a bad day...?

Terrible attitudes of whoever was working the shift today from 10 AM to close more than likely. Was so excited this morning to get my donuts to start my day off right, and I figured I would ask for an iced coffee or some other drink to go with. The rude, white lady working the window rolled her eyes, let out a huge sigh and shut me down immediately. It s one thing to be so upset when you are at work, but to be giving off that energy to the customers? Give me a break. It truly is the little things these days that keep you going back to businesses, and this is exactly why I will not come back or recommend this location.

They have the best cream cheese filled donuts around. I drive overnight deliveries and I stop by as soon as they open at 5:00am. Really good way to end my night ! The people are friendly and the place is clean, its never a bad experience. If you show up right after they open you might get warm donuts as I do ...enjoy !!

So Disappointed! I have a small addiction to apple fritters, and patronize the Shipleys in Waco more then I want to admit. I feel comfortable in my knowledge of what an apple fritter is and what to expect. The apple fritters here are a sham and frankly disgusting! It is a jelly donut type with apple pie filling, and less then half the size of the ones I get in Waco and other places. I was borderline furious when I bit into it and cold pie filling squirted out the other side. It took all my strength not to go back inside and question the insight of what monster thought this was a good idea. Never again!

If you havent been here in a while, then you need to go. I came here a few times years ago, and was unimpressed. I mean, it was ok, but only just ok. Something changed, because the donuts are amazing now. Even just the plain glazed are fantastic now. Staff is very friendly, too. 5 year edit! Still my favorite donut place in town.

I asked ....so you tell me there is not one knife in the whole shop....she stared blankly at me. This is our go to donut place in New Braunfels. The quality is always consistent and the variety is great. There are very few places that have this kind of variety including the chocolate iced cake donuts which are my mother in laws favorite. The kolaches are awesome here and come in spicy and plain and with or without cheese. All super yummy! One of the best things about this place is the convenience of the drive through. Who wants to face a whole line of people judging you for your cake donut and kolache addiction? Service is always good and the staff is friendly.

Just got home, ordered half dozen glaze, 2 cream filled, two cinnamon rolls, 4 jalapeno kalaches, and 2 half dozen donuts holes, with 2 large dr pepper. They forced me to change the Dr peppers to cokes and they did not give me my 2 dozen donuts hole. I love there donuts but I wont be back after being shorte. Sounds petty but we all have our own things going on in life and that was important. Im very angry about being shorted after spending over 22 dollars. You need to get it together.

Went their the other day again and no doughnuts and what they had was old. What is going on with them. They need to be constant with their stock of doughnuts and coffee. Not good just for an hour.
