GREAT food but TERRIBLE SERVICE by one of the servers which is also the owner called Dinesh I think. He wears glasses. He is so rushed and haughty and seems like he does not have any respect for the customers especially when they are Nepali Crazy how biased a NEPALI restaurant is to their own people. Other than that the food is great, a little bit on the pricier side though.

Unfortunately, the wings were extremely over cooked and tasted like they were old and from the previous day. Butter chicken sauce was amazing but the chicken was dry and tasted old. Service amazing but I believe they used the previous days food. Second time trying it and wont be going back. Tarka is ALWAYS on point.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The buffet was subpar, and several items listed on the buffet board were not available. When we inquired about the missing items, the waiter informed us that the main dishes are only served from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, which was not clearly communicated. Although the buffet was supposed to end at 2:30 PM, many items were removed by 2:10 PM without any prior notice. We arrived at 1:50 PM, and it would have been helpful if the waiter had informed us that the buffet would close earlier than advertised.

All dishes were cold- including dishes meant to be served hot. Some dishes were both cold and burnt. I left hungry but too sad to continue eating.

One of the most depressing experiences and I ll explain- we went on a Thursday. It s was us and another couple. First sign of why we shouldn t have been there! So it s a buffet of very few items- chicken fry was dry and laying there for hours on heat and barely edible/chewable, papad was past its life, it was stale! Dal was too dry, chicken curry had tiny split bones. The damn buffet was pathetic at all levels and to top it, when I shared my inputs with the guy at the counter, it had no effect. So guys ignore this place like a plague. It s a disgrace. But let s give the credit where it s due- the Naan was fresh brought to the table and the highlight!

We dine in and call in orders frequently and have enjoyed every dish we tried. Highly vegetarian-friendly and the spice levels are very customizable. I personally don t prefer the buffet as the spice levels are default mild.

I visited this restaurant for dinner with a group of four adults and two kids. While I generally enjoy their Momos and veg noodles, this visit left me highly disappointed due to their petty tipping practices. When the bill arrived, the server brought a card swiping machine and skipped the step where we could review the bill. We did not think much about it and paid, including an additional tip, only to later realize that a 20% tip had already been added to the bill. When we pointed this out, the server claimed it s a Texas rule for parties of four or more. Despite explaining that we unknowingly double-tipped, they refused to refund the additional tip, saying he can t do anything about it. This behavior felt extremely dishonest and petty. It s unreasonable to expect customers to remember hidden tipping policies, and it s the restaurant s responsibility to inform us upfront. Such sneaky practices leave a bad taste and show a lack of respect for customers. For a few dollars of additional tip, they lost my business permanently. It s clear why this place often has empty tables. Beware of their deceitful tipping policies tips should be earned through good service, not tricked out of customers.

Firstly,As a indian I can say that the food doesnt taste like authentic Indian cuisine; it seems the owner is just using the Indian name to attract customers. For a genuine Indian culinary experience I recommend visiting Nawabi Hyderabad House or Nagas Restaurant in Cedar Park. Nagas restaurant offer a buffet with a wider range of options and its only 15.99, and youll be blown away by the flavors.I am not writing this review to make restaurant look bad I feel bad that people who are trying this place doesnt get to taste the authentic indian food.I hope this review helps.

First time here with my wife and kids. Staff was friendly and helpful, restaurant was clean and welcoming. The food was amazing! I ordered lamb vindaloo (pictured), my wife ordered chicken Sahi Korma, my son ordered lamb biryani and my daughters shared the Tikka masala. Everything was fantastic, I ordered extra spicy while everyone else ordered mild. The biryani came out spicier than expected but everything else was as expected. We also ordered Kashmiri Sweet Naan and Ghee Paratha (both pictured), the ghee was good but the Kashmiri was to die for. Topping it off was a masala chai with a perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Excellent experience and we will be back!

The atmosphere is laid back and the restaurant is kept very clean. The employees were all friendly. I am very glad an Indian/Nepalese restaurant is in Georgetown. My husband and I have been to plenty of Indian restaurants in different countries and we never faced such cheap quality of food for different dishes. The meat biryani hardly had any meat on it and it was dry. We also ordered stews which came in low portions, mostly sauce, and a small bowl of white rice was brought to be shared between 2 people. I had to ask for an extra bowl of rice because my guest was so hesitant to eat more. We were so embarrassed since we had invited important people to us to the restaurant. When we asked for the bill, the server announced the price so loudly that our guests got embarrassed since they knew it was our treat.

What I liked: Good atmosphere, ample amount of seating, their freshly made naan was great (they give only as much as you need to avoid food wastage which is a good idea), dal makhni, rice pudding and gajar halwa was good in taste. What can they do better: 1. Other than the items mentioned above, most of the other items from buffet were ok, didnt feel authentic taste compared to other Indian restaurants in Austin 2. I have been to so many Indian food buffets over many years and multiple places in USA and this one felt $$$ considering the food quality 3. Front staff was not that welcoming. A warm smile, few nice words go a long way in getting customer back into restaurant and giving free publicity to others. They can definitely do better there. Parking: Not enough spots, read signs carefully to avoid getting your car towed away

Had to go to the doctor today, and the three of us decided that we didnt want fastfood, we wanted a sitdown restaurant for our lunch. Looking at the interwebs led us to this place, and we were eager to try out the food. They have a lunch buffet and we were happy to have that, the choices were plentiful and really fresh because we got there fairly early on. The aroma of the food hit us as soon as we opened the door, and we were hoping that it tasted as good as it smelled. The mango lemonade was nice, I didnt realize that chai was available too or else I would have got that as well. With a pitcher of water and three large glasses delivered to the table, along with fresh buttery naan, it was looking like the right choice was made. We got a large selection of different types of food and couldnt wait to dig in to it. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly, so we had to try even more of it. After my three trips to the buffet, I had some rice pudding for dessert and the cardamom in it was great tasting. I really would like to list what we ate, but there was so much variety and honestly, everything was great. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made it a great dining experience. I cant wait to get back there to try more dishes.

My family and I ate at Namaste for dinner tonight and thoroughly enjoyed our food. We are still talking about the delicious butter naan even several hours later. Our three kids were even able to enjoy their meals because my very mild request was actually mild enough (which is rare for Indian/Nepali restaurants we ve been to usually my kids can only eat rice and bread!). I loved the copper cups (copper is very health-enriching), the atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful, and the service was friendly. Tons of great vegetarian options and the samosas were AMAZING. The only negative for us was the pricing. Next time, we ll share our entrees with each other to avoid having an enormous bill because the portion sizes are definitely big enough. Kid-friendliness: First Indian/Asian restaurant that had food mild enough for my children to enjoy!

The atmosphere was very relaxed, service was prompt and friendly, prices were decent for the portion sizes and the quality of food you receive. Getting down to the nitty gritty: I really enjoyed the masala chai they had, as well as the mango lassi and rice puddings from the dessert menu. Subtly flavoured with spices that arent overpowering and the sweetness was just right. We ordered a goat curry (hot) and vindaloo curry (extra hot), and a lamb sekuwa khaja set to share. All the meats in the dishes were tender, flavours were enjoyable with a good balance of spices, and complimented well by rice, poppadoms and naan bread. Its worth dining in as the fresh naan bread had a lovely buttery flavour, the dishes were hot and delicious, and since I do like my curries spicy I can ask for that directly. I do note that there was a buffet option available, but I personally just enjoy a la carte so I can have spicier dishes.

Title: Beware of Deceptive Practices: Namastes Dubious Dual Accounts on DoorDash and Uber Eats My recent experience with what I believed to be a new dining establishment, Zebits, via Uber Eats, has left me deeply disillusioned and disheartened. Little did I know, Zebits is merely a facade, another face of the already established restaurant, Namaste, which operates under a different guise on DoorDash. The discovery of Namastes dual accounts on two prominent food delivery platforms, DoorDash and Uber Eats, is not only deceitful but also profoundly disappointing. As a consumer, I value transparency and authenticity, both of which are sorely lacking in this blatant attempt to manipulate customer perception. Upon placing an order from Zebits, expecting a fresh culinary experience, I was met with lackluster food quality that failed to impress. From the bland flavors to the uninspired presentation, it was evident that the cuisine fell far short of expectations. The realization that Zebits and Namaste are one and the same only added insult to injury. Namastes decision to operate under multiple aliases not only sows confusion among customers but also raises questions about the integrity of their business practices. Its a disservice to loyal patrons and new customers alike, who deserve honesty and transparency when dining out or ordering in. I implore fellow diners to exercise caution and diligence when considering Namaste, Zebits, or any other establishment that engages in such deceptive practices. Lets hold restaurants accountable for their actions and demand the honesty and integrity we deserve as consumers.

As a frequent patron of Indian cuisine, I was eager to try out Namaste, a purported new addition to the culinary scene in my area. However, my excitement quickly turned to dismay upon discovering the disheartening truth behind this establishments online presence. First and foremost, Namastes dual accounts on DoorDash should raise red flags for any discerning diner. Its disconcerting to encounter two separate listings for what appears to be the same restaurant, with vastly different ratings. This deceptive tactic undermines trust and leaves customers feeling duped. Upon placing an order from what I assumed to be the new Namaste, my anticipation quickly waned as I sampled their fare. The food quality was subpar, lacking the vibrant flavors and authentic taste that Ive come to expect from Indian cuisine. From the bland curry to the overcooked naan, each dish fell short of the mark. Whats more troubling is that upon further investigation, it became evident that both accounts are indeed linked to the same establishment. This deliberate attempt to mask negative reviews by creating a new profile is not only unethical but also disrespectful to customers seeking transparency and honesty. Namastes misleading tactics not only waste customers time and money but also erode trust in the online ordering system. As someone who values authenticity and integrity in dining experiences, I urge others to exercise caution when considering Namaste for their next meal. There are plenty of reputable establishments that uphold higher standards of quality and honesty.

My siblings and I arrived at 7:30 PM and noticed that there wasnt a large crowd of cars in the parking lot. My sister and I grew suspicious so we immediately checked on Yelp to see how the reviewers feel about this place and were pleasantly surprised that there were positive things to be said. We all grew a relief and proceeded to walk inside. Upon entering the restaurant, an older gentleman sitting at the bar greeted us with a smile and invited us to sit in a booth next to the door. The observation of the restaurant was clean, and colorful, and had a few Nepalese decorations. I noticed a man vacuuming the carpet while a couple was enjoying their meal in the back of the restaurant. It was a strange occurrence since the machine was so loud that it overpowered the music that was playing in the background. The older gentlemen went to the back and brought out some water in a copper pitcher with three copper tinned cups with plates, silverware, and the menus. The man who was vacuuming finished his task and greeted us as our waiter. He was friendly, but reserved. For appetizers, we ordered samosas and our drinks. My brother had the homemade soda, my sister chose the homemade lemonade, and I got the chai marsala hot tea. The waiter came to bring out our drinks, but not everyones drinks came out at the same time as my brother had to wait for his. Everyones drink was tasty. The waiter then asks if we are ready to order our food. Im sitting wondering about our appetizer. I ask him about it and he brings it out. The samosas werent the best and did not have any spiciness to them. It tasted pretty bland in my opinion. I only took a bite and couldnt finish the rest. Neither were my siblings fancied of them. My brother ordered the sekuwa khaja set, my sister got the mango chicken curry, and I settled on the dal makhani. My siblings wanted some garlic naan to add to the meal. The food took its time to come out, but it wasnt long until we were sinking our teeth into some delicious food. Our waiter only brought out a small side dish of rice for my sister and me to share with our dishes. Honestly, I would have eaten more if I had more rice. However, my dish was so rich and creamy. The lentils were cooked to perfection and gladly they werent overcooked. My sister mentioned that she enjoyed her meal as it was flavorful and not sweet considering it had mangoes in it. My brother said that the meat in his dish was tasty, but he did not care for the textural components. Considering that it was three people eating, I have no idea why they only brought out one piece of naan for us to share. It just wasnt enough. The most concerning thing about our experience was that the older gentleman sitting at the bar stared at us the whole time nonstop. He was very focused on us eating. He made the atmosphere dismaying. Also, when it was time to close up, the older gentleman was playing with the front door and making a lot of noise to disturb us so that we could stop eating to leave. I did not care for that part. However, the food was well-seasoned and good for the Georgetown area.

I have been to the lunch buffet (11-2:30 at this writing) with different small to medium groups, and no one has ever left disappointed. Indeed, diners walk out delighted, and discussing the various Nepalese & Indian dishes excitedly. Hosts are attentive, friendly & approachable, but not hovering, just perfect for an exploratory buffet. If trying the buffet, I suggest the free buffet-side Chai or mango-forward fruit drink. I do suggest arriving by 1pm while the buffet is in rapid turnover. A friend recently discovered that they are also happy to accommodate larger groups with special hours and/or dishes. Its not just a welcome spot in the developing GTX dining scene, but (as I can personally attest) even worth a drive from Austin. Lets keep this fine group in business for decades! Dietary restrictions: If allergic to mango, then it would be prudent to ask about that days dishes, and definitely avoid the buffets fruity drink.

The owner was very rude towards us and told us to leave early because we had a large party. The food was not served properly like a restaurant should and had to self serve using paper plates. Do not go here for a large groups because he will charge you more than what the food is worth. The food was not as good as other restaurants. The customer service was also very bad. The owner had bad remarks towards. Will not be coming back!

The food was mid and not as good as other similar themed restaurants. The server was rude to us and told to leave early even after we called in to reserve a spot. They made us self serve our own food because we had a big party in paper plates no less. The proportion of the food compared to the amount of people we told them were going to be there did not match. I would not recommend this place to others because of the rude service we received and the high charge for food they served. The amount of food that we got should have not amounted to what we paid.

Definitely had a hankering for South Asian food this day. Luckily, we planned a dinner meeting and got a full spread for the meal. That goat curry was fantastic. We kept the spice levels very low because a couple folks at the table couldn t handle the heat. Otherwise, food was excellent, and service was friendly. The restaurant wasn t very full, so they let us stay for a bit to conduct our meeting. I appreciated that and gave them a little higher tip than usual.

The owner, Sushil, make sure that the chefs prepared what I needed. I ordered Chana Sag and my husband and son ordered chicken buna. They like theirs as well. They even prepared nan with no fat for me. Absolutely delicious we will return! The three on ambience is the lights are so bright. And it is such a beautiful spot that it would be better if it was more dimly lit. Bit!! They did turn down some lights for us that when we asked.

Finally Indian food in Georgetown......and excellent to boot!! I have only had the buffet lunch but am looking forward to eating a la carte at dinner when the dishes all come right from the kitchen. Even so, the buffet is an excellent choice for quality, selection flavor. There are 4 veggie dishes daily which guarantees variety, along with 3 sauced meat dishes and tandoori chicken legs. Their Nepalese style fried noodles are really good with lost of curried veggies mixed in. Excellent choice of condiments/salads/raita and rice pudding with pistachios.as good as I have anywhere. Today they brought me a whole fresh naan right out of the tandoor. The service even for a buffet is the best I have experienced in an Indian restaurant....they go out of their way for their customers. I highly recommend Namaste especially if you have not yet tried Indian food......but if you have and enjoy it you will be thrilled with this new and most exotic addition to the Georgetown food scene.

Great to have them in the neighborhood. Service was a little odd. Our server was not dressed appropriately. His tummy was peeking out. Table chairs are too low for a tall person. We will sit in a booth next time. The plastic flags on the ceiling need to come down. Takes away from the beautiful interior and decor. Naan bread is the best Ive had outside India and Nepal. Yes, Ive been to both. The Califlower appetizer was delicious. The chicken tandoori entree was a safe choice. If you cant make that good, you shouldnt be in the Indian/Nepalese food business. I understand the owner is exceptional, friendly, and full of stories. Although I hope next time hes there, I dont want him spending too much time at my table. I will 100% go back. The food was very good and the service was very good. I REALLY wanted to give 5 stars, BUT they need to DESTROY the menu with the pictures ASAP! The photos not only look nothing like the food, but some are very deceptive. Example: The Lamb Kebobs. In the picture, are kebobs on skewers with veggies. In real life, not even close. They look much better in real life with just chunks of lamb and veggies. BUT - on the menu is Bhatura - the picture shows bread, with a bowl of Chana masala to dip for $4.99. I asked the waiter and he confirmed this. When the bill came, it was $4.99 for just the bread, and $14.99 for a bowl of Chana Masala. Not cool! Bottom line, the food was very good, and the service was very good, but getting a $20 surprise because of a terrible menu system is not good.

We love this place! The food is delicious and authentic and the staff are so warm and welcoming. You can tell they put thought into menu items that both taste like home to those of us who are Nepalese or Indian and can be enjoyed by everyone. I just had their new malai kofta and it was delightful. When our family visits, this is where we take them for authentic food. The great staff and clean and cozy atmosphere also make this one of my fav spots in Georgetown. After you fill up, I highly recommend trying their chai. Vegetarian options: There are so many options for vegetarians. Even the non-vegetarian dishes you can ask about. They probably have a vegetarian version. Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan and vegetarian dishes and you can also get dishes that are dairy free and nut free. They recently made a delicious malai kofta with beets so folks with nut allergies can enjoy kofta too which I thought was really cool. Parking: Always plenty of spots right outside the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs, kids options and a staff that are really warm and kid-friendly. My baby loves it here because the staff are so friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there is ample room in how the restaurant was set up for maneuvering between most tables. The staff are also very helpful and responsive. For some folks, the back half of the buffet items may be harder to self-serve from.

I moved to Georgetown back in March and was beyond excited when I found Namaste down the road from Me. They werent open yet, but I took pictures of what Their hours would be and told Myself I would come back. Yesterday I fulfilled that promise to Myself...and I am soooo happy that I did. I have lived in ATX since 2001 and have dined at numerous restaurants over the years, but it has been some years since I have had Indian food this delicious (there was a restaurant off of Riverside I frequented back in the day). I came in expecting to order off of the menu and was delighted to find out They have buffet. It was the BESTEST way to try a lil bit of everything and NOTHING disappointed. *happy dance* ensued with each bite. They even served hot chai tea and mango pineapple juice complimentary when You get the buffet. I def got more than one glass of the mango pineapple juice. It was smooth and refreshing after all the humidity and Texas heat We have had with these frequent thunderstorms. The ambiance was so cheerful yet calming at the same time. I loved the music, color scheme and decorations. The way The owners have incorporated the natural beauty of the trees into Their space made My *heart smile* I look forward to sitting on the patio. Good news for anyone with back problems and short legs like Me...the booths and the tables both have comfy seating that accommodates all shapes n sizes. The bathroom was super spacious and roomy (which I really appreciate as someone with curves). The staff was so gracious and patient. I witnessed Them greet every customer with the same enthusiasm and how They made sure everyone felt at home and welcome. There was a family inquiring on catering and Dinesh brought out an example of the pans They would be serving in and explained how many people it would feed. He never rushed the family and asked probing questions to make sure He addressed all of Their concerns. Not gonna lie, I came back today to see if They had buffet again and was thrilled to see They did. A few items were different from the menu yesterday (for example, today it was an orange drink instead of the mango pineapple juice) but every item I put on My plate was just as yummy. Sushil recognized Me from Yesterday and remembered I like Dr Pepper with My meal. Today They had the rice pudding and I couldnt help but *cheese* when I fixed My serving. Both days They have been busy and both days They provided excellent customer service. I am so grateful to have a go to place to meet My Indian food cravings with authentic Nepalese cuisine. Ohhh and I asked about Their stage n party lights. Sushil told Me They have events! *clapping hands* Bring on the good times! I almost forgot. Yesterday I ordered the Gulab Jamun separate from the buffet. Lemme tell You...when it arrived, I already knew I had made the Right Life choice lol It was the perfect temperature and was the sweet goodness I have searched for over the years and hadnt been able to find. If You made it this far, *high five* Come with Your Appetite for real for real and if You order off of the menu, prepare to wait for it to be prepared fresh. If You can wait patiently for Whataburger, then You can do the same here and wait in anticipation knowing that it was Made Just for You and hasnt sat all day gathering wonkiness. Each plate is crafted with skill and care and love. Shine On

I came here today for the lunch buffet and I was disappointed. The chicken Tikka masala had a few pieces of chicken and fresh naan. I asked for more and they said they would bring it out. They brought it about 20 minutes later. When I was done with my food, I got up to get some kheer. I asked for a bowl and they told me to use a plate. I told the guy I was not eating soup or kheer on a plate. I got my small Styrofoam cup of kheer and lo and behold, there were no more spoons. Wow... another wait. These folks are so unprepared to open a buffet. Seriously!!! If you cant get someone to check the buffet every 5 minutes, youre doing it all wrong!!! Also, I drank my water out of little paper cups. They gave everyone regular cups (see pix). The best things on the buffet were the masala potatoes and kheer. The rest were ok. Im not coming back.

TLDR: Five stars for the food (Momos, Malai Kofta, Ghee Roti were excellent); I d take off 1.5 stars for affordability but the lovely Nepali/Indian food deserves a 4/5! We ll definitely be back to dine in here. Food, most impressive to least: - Chilli Veg Momos: delicious momo stuffing, tasty tangy sauce with bell peppers and onions; I look forward to getting the steamed momos next time, because I know the stuffing will be excellent - ghee roti: their roti chef needs a pat on the back because that roti was the softest most flavourful roti I ve had so far in the Austin area - Malai Kofta: flavourful, creamy and nutty, albeit with koftas on the smaller side - goat curry: well cooked with good spices - Aloo kulcha, which is a naan stuffed with potato, was incredibly soft but didn t pack a punch, so meant to be eaten with a curry. If they turn their Aloo kulcha into an Aloo Paratha, this could be a real winner - the Sadeko Bhatmas/Badam, which is a tangy mix of Split Soya Beans and Peanuts with onion, tomato, Sev etc. Would not get this again with the Soya Bean Positives: - Tasty food, I was not expecting everything to be SO flavourful - Cute dish ware, ambience is fun, great Bollywood music - Timely service considering the restaurant was not too busy (hoping that changes for them soon, with many more people eating there!) Neutrals: The menu is a little pricy Overall: glad we dined here and happy to have a Nepali restaurant (food from the Indian subcontinent!) in Georgetown!
