This place is great! We are visiting from out of town and stopped in on a Saturday morning to get a little work done and grab some coffee. Their signature Lamba Latte is amazing and uses a secret syrup recipe that is heavenly. We will definitely come back when we are in town again.

I hate to write a bad review on a local company, and I did give them a call the last visit I had that was equally as bad before writing this review. There has to be a culture problem or something because every time I come to this location the service is always bad and the girls are always rude. It s really unfortunate that the experience I continue to have.

The coffee is great. The baristas are better. Its always a nice experience going there, even with a little one. Parking: You may have a hard time parking in front of the coffee shop, but there is a parking lot in the next block that is usually not full. Kid-friendliness: Kids are completely welcome here. They even have toys for kids to play with in the big room. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair should have no problem here except maybe going in through the back door which you would have to go through some gravel to get to.

The half sweetened lamba latte was my favorite drink, sadly last 5 times I came to order it I received full sweetened version, which is absolutely different for me. This early morning my husband ordered half sweetened for me and it tastes like sugar! This is so sad I truly think lamppost have the best coffee in the area, hope this coffee shop will upgrade..

@tollivertravels Food & Drink: The pour over and chemex are so good. Havent tried the food yet. Ambiance: Lots of seating. Indoor and outdoor. Its picturesque in several places. The art is nice. Kid friendly: yes, people bring their kids and they do fine. Theres a couch and coffee table by it. Service: I dont know his name but theres a barista thats really knowledgeable about coffee and he makes the coffee taste better just by describing it. He knows the region, flavor notes, etc and helped me out by steering me toward mugs as opposed to the disposable cups. It changed the flavor of the coffee, especially as it cooled down.

The bad - when you go home you ll be ruined. The perfectly acceptable coffee at home is no longer enough.

Nestled within the vibrant heart of Georgetown Square, Lamppost Coffee emerges as a beacon for coffee aficionados and remote workers alike. On a day that beckoned for exploration, my discovery of this local haunt offered a glimpse into the communal and caffeinated soul of the city. Heres my take on the experience: --- Upon entering Lamppost Coffee, the lively buzz of conversation and the clatter of keyboards immediately enveloped me. The cafés atmosphere, charged with the energy of a young and casual crowd, presented a snapshot of modern café culture at its finest. It was apparent that this was a favored spot for both work and leisure, with patrons engrossed in their laptops or engaged in lively discussions, all the while savoring their coffee and pastries. Compelled by the array of choices, I indulged in an Espresso Milkshake and a Hot Mocha. The Espresso Milkshake was a revelation a perfect fusion of coffees robust essence with the indulgent sweetness and coolness of a classic milkshake. It served not only as a delightful pick-me-up but also as a testament to Lamppost Coffees inventive approach to coffee. The Hot Mocha, on the other hand, was a harmonious blend of rich chocolate and espresso, balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. It encapsulated the comforting warmth of a traditional mocha, elevating it with a depth of flavor that beckoned the taste buds for more. Although my experience did not extend to the pastries, the sheer number of patrons enjoying them alongside their coffees hinted at their quality. The sight of flaky, buttery pastries and the occasional waft of baked goods were enough to pique my curiosity for a future visit. In conclusion, Lamppost Coffee stands out not just for its exceptional coffee but also for the ambiance it cultivates a space where creativity, community, and caffeine converge. Whether youre seeking a serene spot to work, a cozy corner for conversation, or simply a top-notch coffee experience, Lamppost Coffee promises and delivers on all fronts. As for the pastries, they remain a tantalizing mystery, but one Im eager to explore upon my next visit.

The cute place to stop while exploring the town. I wish I could give it five stars but the customer service was OK There wasn t really any conversation or friendliness. It was just by your coffee wait and leave. The coffee itself was different than anything I ve had before I ended up throwing it out but I m sure it s an acquired taste, so I m not giving it less than four stars. My son, on the other hand loved it. They also let us bring the dog in which is a huge deal. We usually don t go to places unless they allow the dog in because he wants to leave their dog in the car. They had water available so we could give the dog a little bit of water after our long walk so again that was awesome. I would probably come back, but I would order something different for sure, or maybe get their attention a little bit better and get an understanding of what they make that I might like

Lots of free parking on week days. Loads of eclectic shops around also. Parking: There are free spots for parking directly in front of the shop! Kid-friendliness: If your child drinks coffee? This is the place to go. But seriously there are a few shops around that service to childrens likes also. Most dont open as early as a coffee shop. My original 1-star post is below. They since made masks optional, so that complaint is only for the insane Age of Masks. So Im awarding 3 stars for decent coffee and a limited menu. I prefer Just Love Coffee (and Star Coffee in RR before Lamppost took over that location). ******************** Products are OK, but yall gotta lose the mask requirement. I was told yesterday that you cant serve anyone who is not wearing a mask. As I looked around and saw NONE of the customers wearing masks, I thought to myself Cant, or wont? I didnt make a scene, or use logic to explain how sitting doesnt make one more safe than standing. Likewise, holding a latte doesnt make one more safe. I mean, if your coffee sterilizes your customers, just how hot is that coffee? LOL There was literally NO DIFFERENCE between me and any other unmasked person there except some of them were mid-sip or mid-bite...and that they walked in with a mask only to take it off seconds later, and I just skipped the mask altogether. Other business owners are not living in fear and are allowing customers to make their own choices, and those are the places I will spend my money. My life is normal now, and youre not part of it, until you return to normal too.

My rating, 5 stars being best - Overall: - Food: - Location: - Service: - Atmosphere: - Pricing : This coffee shop is part of a chain of Lampost coffee shops around town. This location feels new and is bright and spacious in beautiful Georgetown downtown. - Food - a good set of choices for food and drinks. Had the Lamba Latte (a bit too sweet for me - based on a secret recipe with hazelnut and brown sugar). Some unique bagels like Rosemary Sea salt and standard bakery fare including muffins (vegan options too!) - Service - Prompt, friendly and courteous. They even pronounced my name right which in itself is a rarity! - Prices - They were higher than average - $6.30 (with taxes) for a 16 Oz Latte is a bit too rich for my wallet! - Location / Atmosphere - Beautiful location; Huge shop with lots of seats. - Restrooms - Spotless, clean and well maintained. - Etc. - Pets are also allowed. Overall, great experience but not as much value for the money.

My complaint is with the unfriendly baristas. It is actually unfortunate because I think Lampposts Coffee is actually quite good, but watching uninterested slow servers have an attitude with nearly every customer gets old. I do enjoy studying here as it is a quiet atmosphere with plenty of seating. The location is superb, the coffee is great, the vibes in the store are spot on (especially with the art for sale on the walls). A little customer service training would go a heck of a long ways for this coffee house; it would easily jump to a top rated store in my opinion if the attitudes would disappear.

Sad coffee shop, with bad coffee and poor attitudes. The espresso was terribly bitter and they were out of chai and unwilling to make more. The baristas had very poor attitudes. It seems they have bad training as they think it s okay to ignore costumers. Even if there is a line you should be welcoming and willing to work to accommodate customers. Not a good experience.

Place was kinda deceptive from the outside. Wed walked past it like 10 times and never thought much of it but once we walked in it was a breath of fresh air. Was huge and the coffee was delicious. They had live music too. Place was freezing though. Keep that in mind. Ample space to study or meet or just relax.

Never going back- tried the Georgetown location a few times, every time I ve been in the baristas are never friendly and look disinterested or bored. No, hello or how are you? Even walking up to the counter the barista just stared at me and it was extremely awkward. I had to then say, are you ready to take my order or do I need to wait? Super weird. Ordered a large iced latte with coconut milk. Ended up being over $7, which I was a little concerned. That s a lot for a regular iced latte. When she was done she said here is your lamba latte. I told her I ordered a regular latte. So she had to remake it. Once mine was done, I asked her if I had been over charged for the wrong drink and the barista stared at me with the most rude and stern look and very firmly said no. I was taken aback. I checked my bank account after, I had gone in the week before and ordered the same drink. I had paid $6.66 last week, not $7. Not to mention, before I got my drink, they had also messed up on the girl s drink who ordered before me and had to remake hers as well. Not impressed. I can get the same coffee with better service and at a cheaper price at 309.

Enter at you re own risk! Nothing like employee not putting the lid on a hibiscus drink correctly and we grabbing it going all over clothes after waiting 15 minutes for the three guest in front of us. The employee played with the oatmeal she put milk in for 5 to 10 minutes, really unbelievable with 10 people in line. No offer to dry clean or buy our coffee? Nope! Wonderful. My advice is STAY AWAY!

I was taking a morning walk and on my last leg to the house I stopped to get some cookies for breakfast and they were pretty good. The staff was fairly friendly as they had just opened and were preparing for the day. Prices are comparable.

Huge coffee shop with lots of seating right in the heart of Georgetown. If you enjoy sweet drinks, Id recommend their Lamba Latte iced. They use a homemade sweet syrup in the drink. Also, if youre coming with your laptop, pretty much they seating area has an outlet so you wont have to worry about that. Lots of parking out front and even if you cant get parking right out front, you can park pretty much anywhere downtown and the coffee shop will still be within walking distance. Lots of stores and new restaurants all closeby as well. Parking: Lots of free 3 hour street parking in front of the coffee shop and all around the block and blicks nearby.

Amazing coffee. The lamba latte (I believe it was called) was their secret speciality coffee and I am so happy I got it. Definitely one of my favorite spots. The place has a nice relaxing vibe to it! Very clean and open.

Morning counter staff are a bit inattentive to customers waiting to order. Even a We ll be with you shortly acknowledgement could go a long way, if they tried it. But they can still pull a good shot of espresso.

Nice place, however: -coffee is kinda expensive, but thats probably to be expected -only one restroom -all network hardware is on a shelf above the vanity in the restroom. This is not a secure solution, customers and guests should NEVER be able to mess with your network hardware, especially in an unsupervised location like the restroom. I would advise against connecting to this network. I tried to just get a corner of it in the pic so randos online cant zoom in and see the model/make of the equipment, but you can see that its there next to the sink & mirror.
