Made a quick stop to check out the place and the hype. It was Sunday afternoon very few people there. We drove the Jeep around a bit and let the pup run around. He thought it was like the beach with hills!!!

However, its important to note that target shooting is not recommended due to the high number of riders in the area. For a more suitable shooting spot, head five miles down the road. While this place tends to be crowded, its not advisable to bring your family on Sunday nights as Red Sands transforms into a less desirable environment. Unless, of course, you have acquired a taste for a unique blend of flavors, including a warm and frothy melting pot mixture of comical circus music, chlamydia, counterfeit Louis Vuitton wearing Cuh s, and a delectable abundance of Fox Racing Jerseys strung across the vast desert landscape, as far as the eyes can see. It is an experience that might not suit everyones palate, but for those seeking a distinctive Sunday treat, Red Sands delivers a truly unforgettable indulgence.

Great place to off-road. Sand dunes are soft so 4x4 is absolutely necessary. Only down side is that people throw trash everywhere, but the ranger station gives out trash bags for free. You can also get your 4x4 OHV sticker there, so people who see your 4x4 rig know you aren t faking or freeloading.

Room to breath. Room to play. Large area of open acreage. Be careful of rattlesnakes. Dont get stuck in the sand. Take your trash with you when You leave.
