This quaint pizza place has the best pizza in West Texas! It s next to a grocery store so lots of parking. Definitely worth the trip. Bring cash and be ready to eat! The salads are delicious too! Vegetarian options: Cheese pizza is good and salads with no meat. Stromboli was full size and stuffed full of meat and mozzarella. A bit heavy on the sausage, light on Canadian bacon. The crust was perfectly cooked, and it came with plenty of marinara sauce. The food was better than the dining experience, so next time will likely be take out.

The crust was burnt on the pizza I ordered and the chicken parmesan my friend ordered was super greasy. The overall service was no pleasant. Not a single smile from any of the staff and they were a bit rude. Lastly, the overrall atmosphere felt a bit gloomy but thats all I have to say about it. Idk if Id eat there again.

Delicious food and great customer service! We were immediately greeted when we walked in. We ordered our food and had it not long after sitting down. It was all fresh and delicious. If youre hungry, go somewhere else. We thought it would be a quick 20 - 30 min wait for our food. We didnt order a lot, a large pizza, fried cheese and foccacia. It took OVER AN HOUR to get our food, and it turns out they forgot about our order! We were patient and waited until it hit the hour mark. Then we came back up to ask whats taking so long to which they go oh, oops yours has been ready. We just forgot to call it so not only did we wait a ridiculously long amount of time, our food was also barely warm!! To add salt to the wound, they didnt apologize about the wait. Just handed the food and went on to the next person. I hope the warm-ish food is worth the wait. Because this was unacceptable. They also add extra fees (a transparency fee of almost 4% for what?? I dont know) Edit: after eating, the food was indeed not fresh minus the foccacia. The fried cheese didnt string at all and was mostly cold, the same goes for the pizza. The hottest (temp wise) item was the marinara dip. The crust is very chewy, like very chewy, so youre going to feel too tired to keep chewing after the first slice of pizza. Its also very very greasy (and cold / cooling grease does NOT taste very good). It probably would have had better taste had it been fresh out, but sadly I didnt get the pleasure of that experience.

Great food and friendly owners. The only negative was I blindly followed my sons lead, ordering what he did, and when they rang me up, my bill was $20 ! That was just for me and we ate there. I almost had a coronary. Be careful when you order and youll be fine.

Best pizza in town but oh my god, walking in there and having to see the owner almost makes it not worth getting. That dude is legit one of the scariest looking human beings Ive ever seen and I worked in a maximum security prison for 15 years. His skin just does not look like skin. I dont even know how to describe it. He looks like he once had a coat of fur that covered his body but all the fur fell off. Again, great pizza but Its like walking into a haunted house. I highly recommend doing delivery. His eyes are black, legit completely black like a sharks eyes. I walk in there and the jaws music starts playing in my head, then the owner comes out from the back and is like Welcome to Joes! What can I get you? ..... I dont know Dracula please dont take my blood. Dont talk to me like were both humans. Actually though, dude might actually be the real Dracula. Its not his fault but good god man have someone else greet the customers. Unfortunately you will not find better pizza anywhere else around here. His hands look like feet... long palms, really long, like a wolfs foot and short fingers, so crazy. He looks like he can breathe underwater. I get a legit adrenaline rush when Joes owner turns that corner and the light hits his face. I got Joephobia. My buddy used to work there and says hes a really nice guy but I dont know. Have you noticed that this town has a weird amount of missing cats? There are missing cat posters all over town. Feel like Joes has something to do with that. Got no evidence but I can picture him running around at night and stealing cats. Amazing pizza. 5 stars!

Tried Joes for the first tiem this evening for take out. We got a NY style pizza with Alfredo sauce, spinach, and mushrooms. It was absolutely wonderful! Very fresh and as if the owners\cooks understood the taste profile. Loved it. Also had the focaccia, it isnt like I was expecting but it did NOT disappoint. I loved the blast of garlic and herbs, the mozzarella was so good. Tried the Pasta Samper (Lasagna, Pene Pasta, Manicotti) I love the amount of cheese that covered the dish. The stuffing in the manicotti was so creamy and smooth. I really enjoyed the beef in the dish is well very flavorful and cooked well. The salad with the house dressing is simply delightful. I could tell they were very busy this evening and even then they did not skip out on customer service and making sure the orders were right. No corners cut here. The food was hot, fresh, and overall a wonderful experience. Thank you for this amazing meal will definitely be back. Would love to try the stuffed pizza, calzone, or even Tarimissu next time. (I was tempted but already had plenty of food to sample) Keep up the great work definitely a great value especially with the cost of inflation these days and having to choose wisely where to go when dining out. I cant say enough great things about yall. Even my partner who is part Italian on their fathers side loved the sauce.

We have ordered from here a few times (both delivery and pickup) and we are so impressed. We spent time overseas and missed the European style pizza but Joes does not disappoint! Forget pizza hut, dominos, all those overpriced, greasy pizza places.... Joes is hand down the best pizza in Abilene. It can be alittle busy if you order/pickup in the busy hours but its worth it.

waited 45 minutes for 3 slices of pepperoni pizza and chicken Alfredo. Food was not still not as fresh/hot for as long as it took. Asked for caesar dressing and they gave me ranch, chicken was very dry and looked old inside the pasta, owner and lady who worked there were being rude to the Pepsi delivery worker. we were waiting so long for a to-go order we sat at a table and were asked to get up by owner for a customer who was dine in (who still had not even received their food neither). I ordered my food through Uber eats for me to pick up on my own. Order was deemed ready for pick up forty mins after ordering which was expected and fine with me. Once i got the text that that the order was ready, loaded up the car and headed that way. Got to Resturant to pick up and they hadn t even started the order! I had to wait, big and pregnant with two starving kids and irritated husband, for another 40 mins. When at the front, all the woman said was it will be a couple mins.., 40 mins is not a few mins. Had I wanted to wait for food at a Resturant, I would have went out and eaten not ordered online. Very very upset with this. Uber gave credit of $6 and some change. And maybe this is an error with Uber eats not sure. But besides that huge issue, While sitting and waiting, we got drinks. $13 dollars for four drinks. And the Resturant didn t have ice. My eight year old son went over to let them know and they never addressed the issue. So we drank $13 worth of hot sodas. After waiting 40 mins, went up there right in time as they were bagging the ordered. Needed lid for my nieces drink, she is 12, so she goes up and politely asked for a lid. The rude employee said there s some by the drink station. There wasn t which is why she asked. So my niece explained that there wasn t any. And the employee was once again rude and dismissed her saying well we don t have any. The way she was with customers the entire time was just unsettling. Being busy, tired etc is part of the job it happens. But don t take it out on customers. The manners at this place were horrible. Only reason for two stars is because the food is good. It never disappoints. Been going for many many years, and this place has gone down hill with customer service and timing issues. I get that places get busy but their dismissiveness and rudeness was disheartening to say the least. Especially when it s a local place that normally has a good reputation and wonderful food. They lost a customer for this particular location. They need to take notes from the location on treadway. Those guys have wonderful customer service and even if there are longer than normal wait times (which is rare) it s no bother because the staff is pleasant to be around. They actually show that they care about their customers.

I have probably been Joes longest steadfast consistent faithful customer. Having family still living up and around Brooklyn and surrounding burrows I have had the best pizza and Joes has a very similar quality and piquancy. One of my favorites pizzas is spinach that has been sauteed with garlic and spread on a red sauce. I realize that this incorporates a few extra steps in the pizza process and most of the time Joes is willing to oblige me and sometimes they just throw spinach and raw garlic on and hope for the best - not even close to the same thing. Such was the case this last time we ordered. This always makes me feel sad and unappreciated as a loyal patron of this excellent establishment. Im willing to pay more for these extra steps and materials. Dietary restrictions: They are always willing to work with what the Bible/Jesus calls food for us.

For some reason I have never tried Joe s pasta and pizza. I finally tried it and it was very good! Everything seemed super fresh and the customer service was great. This place is great, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food is top notch. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was perfect. While I was waiting for my food I watched them turn out some amazing looking pizzas. The man that took my order (im assuming was Joe) was friendly and welcoming. Rudest owner/staff I ve ever encountered. Went in at 745 and once I was finally acknowledged It was only to ask me if I knew what time it was & then tell me they closed in 5 minutes. Not sure what they call it where the owner is from, but their response says no one refused to take my order. This is an outright lie. When I tried to order he walked off and verbatim said I m not making that this close to closing time that is the definition of refusing to take someone s order. I really like Joes Pizza. The team is always really friendly and the food is always fresh. It doesnt take too long to get your food. They make sure to heat up the pizza before you get it so it is really, really hot when it comes to you. The food tastes great. I recommend this location and only this location in town. I am not sure if the other one is truly affiliated with it but the other locations food doesnt seem to taste nearly the same. The pizzas are huge! they have many options. For hole in the wall pizza in a small Texas city, which usually spells bad pizza, this place is just great. Very nice hard working family making delicious pizza. It s evident they take pride in what they do. Here on business but I will be back. Keep it up you guys are doing great work!!!

Joes is my #1 favorite place to eat in Abiline. I regularly visit and the Lasagna and Chicken Murphy are my go-tos. The owners are awesome people and I love the staff, they are all great. Do not miss this place. Youll be sorry.

Growing up in the Northeast I was blessed with some of the best pizza on this planet NY, NJ, PA. I didnt eat pizza for over 3 years after moving to TX...all were pretty disgusting. Settled in Austin and the pizza is so so. Stopped at Joes while in town and was extremely surprised. This is the best pizza that I have ever had in all of TX. Forget the rest...only eat the best! Only reason it got one star is because there is no way to give it negative stars. It is a salt factory, we got a family lasagna and a family spaghetti, it was the worst chef boyardee in the can would be a much better option. When we called and said something the people who answered treated us like we we were rude for saying something. All we wanted was food that was not too salty to eat. Just make it at home if you want it good or eat it out of a can your better off.

Just moved to Abilene, Christmas of 2018 and started eating at joes a few months later. Never once had an issue. Very friendly great staff.
