This is my favorite taqueria in Garland. Everything is made fresh everyday. Its all made to order. And its delicious. You can control the heat yourself with the sauces that you add or not. Services top notch every time. Thats why I keep going back. Parking: This location is near the Garland library. Theres plenty of traffic.Be careful in the parking lot.

If Aliens came down to earth asking what the best food of our kind is, I would guide them here and eat tacos with them. My fiance and I LOVE this place. We will find any excuse to make it here. Not much to write about this place. Went in for a shaved ice. The price is a little higher than the surrounding spots that sell it. The shaved ice itself was shaved very large and freezes (clumps together) like an old fashioned snow cone. I prefer the finer shavings that dont clump together and are softer texture. Based on me visit,I wouldnt return. Not so much because it was bad, but more because there are better and less expensive offerings within a 3 minute drive. We did not try the food. My review is on their shaved ice only.

My normal is the Cuban burger and the burrito. Everytime I come in I dont have to wait no more than 8 mins. The workers there are very nice & the food is great. I havent tried their street tacos yet although I heard through people in the community is good & I dont put a pass to it that their tacos are good Their prices are reasonable & you will get what you paid for more than enough.

The consistency of this place is phenomenal, it s my go to spot. Best breakfast tacos in the area. I recommend the machacado. The Cali burrito is delicious for lunch/dinner, I get carne asada. I see people eating the tortas a lot although I have never tried them myself. I highly recommend this place.

Carnitas tacos here are spectacular! Don t forget to request the hand made corn tortillas, really nice touch! I could eat these tacos every day and never get tired of them. Food came out hot and fresh, carnitas were cooked perfectly. Service is friendly too and the prices are reasonable!

Ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo to go. Paid. Waited about 15 minutes. Got it left. Wile driving checked my burrito. Realized he gave me different kind of burrito that I didnt ordered. Went back told him they gave me the wrong burrito gave it back. Told him again what I ordered he ran back there took another 15 minutes to make me the right burrito. He came with the right burrito. He got the nerve to charge me again for the right burrito. So I paid doubled. So I took the wrong and the right burrito. Thats terrible customer service. Never going back again.

The family and I usually go here strictly for their street tacos, however, this day I wanted to try some chilaquiles for the first time. Let me just say that Villa Monterrey did not disappoint! The chilaquiles were so flavorful that I did a happy dance! I also had their chicken quesadilla plate and it too was delicious. The food was not too salty, the portions were just right, and you cannot beat the price for fresh food and excellent service.

Its a hole in the wall, with bare bones seating, but the food is absolutely wonderful. Fries are hot and crispy, tortas crammed with filling, flautas crisp and flavourful, and while the beans are a bit runny their flavour is terrific. Been for two evening meals, I just try to stop in for breakfast. Home made salsa? Not sure but its unique and tasty.

We drove from Carrollton to Garland for chilaquiles at another restaurant that was closed when we arrived and Google suggested this one as our first option and it was even better than what we were looking for, the chilaquiles are delicious and it was totally worth it, its a shame that we have them so Far away but we will definitely return. One of the best chilaquiles with chicken Ive had in DFW. The barbecue is also very delicious!

This is a very small restaurant with good Mexican food right in the neighborhood! Place is very clean and very friendly people. I am very glad to see more places like this one around. We have been searching for a great spot for barbacoa and we finally found it! Delicious And the price was great too! We were thinking of going to Kirin Court Dim Sum which is in the same bldg upstairs when we walked by Fish N Tails which had a good crowd. The restaurant is in a shopping strip right off of Arapaho/N Garland Ave and Apollo Rd. Family owned shop. We love to support small family owned business when possible so we decided to give this a try. Food: We got a steak Gordita and a Stewed Pork Gordita, Hidalgo enchiladas and menudo. For drinks we got lemonade and Tamarind. Gorditas were very tasty and easily my favorite part of our meal. The enchiladas were good as well. The menudo was too smelly for our liking. We ve had it many times before but this one was too strong. It was a bit off putting. Price: Can t beat the price. Hard to find a restaurant now days that you can get a enchilada plate for $7. Everything was very reasonable price. Our meal cost $20. Service: Staff was friendly and food came out quick. No complaints. Ambience: Inside is not large but quaint. It s one of the cleaner small family owned places we ve been too.

We order food here all the time. The last 3 times our order has been messed up. When I called to let them know about our order the girl was was rude and told me the manager was busy. I told her I would hold. I hung up because no one ever came to the phone. Called back and she put the phone on vm. Finally got a hold of someone and again told the manager was busy. Told her I was on my way up there. Well of the owner manger called me back. Told her what happened she said sorry and she would replace my messed up food. Well when my husband sat down to eat.. His order was wrong. Was suppose to have flour tortillas instead of corn and no green sauce on the enchiladas.. And there was no hot sauce in the bag after my husband asked..Is there hot sauce..oh its in the bag the girl said. Anyway use to enjoy eating here and never worried about our order. Wont be eating here anymore..

Seeing all of the good reviews, we decided to stop here for lunch. Atmosphere is definitely more of a to go place. Very small and cramped. The only drinks available are bottled (and expensive). I was with my husband and 2 children. My husbands meal came out- with a curly hair right on top of the beans. The kids meals came out about 10 mins after his and mine didn t come out until they were all done. Regardless of that, there was what looked like a cockroach also in my husbands beans. Luckily my food was super late and I hadn t even taken a bite yet. We left the unbeaten food there. I hate giving bad reviews to any small business, but it was unsanitary.

Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican food. Great prices for the quantity and excellent quality of food you receive. The flautas are very good, and the barbacoa tacos are an absolute must. Service is prompt and polite.
