I m gonna drop some names of people that are very well known, respected, and loved here at Palapas Kemah Paige, Cory & Tory !! This is one of the most loved, and popular bars in Kemah. The reason being is because of its employees. Most of the customers are locals and have been going there since the beginning. ( I be going there for 10 years ) Every employee always take care of their customers with respect and professionalism, but also with that southern hospitality Thank you tolerating us degenerates for 21 years .

If you are looking for a fun relaxed local bar THIS IS YOUR PLACE!! Live music on weekends, Trivia Tuesdays and best drink prices around Kemah. Located at the end of 6th street and walking distance to the Boardwalk. During the summer and holidays you will have a perfect view of the fireworks show. Paige and her team do a great job of entertaining and hosting fun events throughout the year. All are welcomed and encouraged and always has a little snack for your pet. No food service BUT with a phone call there are options around that will delivery directly to you!

Kemah s OG bar on 6th street. Great atmosphere with the best and friendliest bartenders in the area. Live music and events for all ages! Bring your doggies to play at the Paw-lapa park. Astros watching parties with a hot dog bar, trivia Tuesdays and more.. love this neighborhood bar and their people. Prices are reasonable compared to other venues in the area. A word of advice, don t come and spend more than you can afford, then make a big scene when asked to pay, be respectful!

Palapas is one of my go-to bars whenever Im looking to have a great time. The staff is simply amazing - always ready with a smile and happy to help with anything needed. And the fact that its pet-friendly is a huge plus for me and my pup. One of the things that I love about Palapas is their events. First time here, I like the set up of the bar kinda reminds me of a beach bar, our bartender was kool and nice, the place was kinda slow for a Sunday night but I like slow sometimes, no frozen drinks which was a disappointment, our bartender suggested on of their signature drinks it was blah nothing special, but Ill definitely come back to check It out again and hopefully frozen drinks will be on the menu and our pink hair bartender will be there

Stopped in at the bar at 8:30 and only 10 people. The lady behind bar walked past me. Looked at me and smiled and thr waited on thr others at the bar. It was obvious they were all regulars. I watched her serve two others and once acknowledged again I was there. I walked out and accross strer to Monkey. Out of spite I spent some money and Zach made his normal tip and hers.

They are unprofessional and prejudice against anyone of color, my spouse was out in kemah after work saw some friends and wanted to help them out with a project of the bars. Only to be refused service for a simple drink for apparently being too drunk after a single shot and working for free to help someone out at their bar. Even though there had been people heavily drinking the entire time while he helped them out. Looking at the other reviews it s not surprised that this place has gone down hill over the years, if you want to go to a trashy dive bar and be served drinks by people with bad attitudes and two faced mangers go for it.

Our favorite spot in Kemah when we dont want the madness of the other spots. Memorial Day weekend was fun here, bar was full but not over crowded like the other couple bars here in Kemah. The Dirty White Girl is my girls new favorite drink (oh lord) but it is delicious!

They have the heaters and enclosure set up around the main big bar area in the winter time....And they have a (2nd) another indoors bar and dance area with good music, which is open on Saturdays

I came here for a nice evening with friends and our night was ruined by the bartender who had a horrible attitude. Everyone in our group made a comment about how unprofessional she was. We all had one drink and left to go somewhere else and we will not be coming back to this bar.

Came here on a Tuesday night and it was pretty slow so you would think the bartender would be able to do her job. But she kept disappearing and had a HORRIBLE attitude. She was rude to our entire party and didnt make any of our drinks right. And when we asked her to put pineapple juice in our titos and water she basically threw the can of pineapple juice at us and had us pour it ourselves. Terrible service and terrible drinks.

Spacious and friendly staff. You can hang outside or inside. Which reminded me of an underground club in New York. The music inside was great the people were loving it and the drinks were pretty good also. Two sets of restrooms one inside and one out. The inside one seemed to be cleaner than the outside one but it was nice over all.

One summer night, I asked a bartender at Palapas for a drink. Instead of telling me that the bar was closed for the night, he asked me if I was deaf and dumb. Apparently they had called last call while I was in the stink pit the nickname that my friends and I have dubbed this humid basement of a dance floor. The DJ has a bad attitude and berates people when they arent dancing. Avoid this place if you can help it.

A few of my friends and I have always liked this place. We went last night and the girl bartender/ bar back was a nasty mess...She was flashing everyone her tits and asking for a shot...If I wanted to see a girls tits I would have gone to a strip club. I was very discussed with this place. please do something with yalls employees. She had long sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. She worked in the club part.
